How you doing? No, fantastic. Yeah, amazing nice brilliant day. It is. Yeah, it's good day. It's good day So what do we got going here today? Yeah, so we're do so we haven't done like non-alcohol also How do you guys do some on out? We got this really cool new brand that's coming here And so we're just focusing on this one brand today. They're out of Beamsville, Ontario sort of the night that I grow you know wine region there And this these aren't trying to imitate booze, which is really awesome They are they're absolutely just built on real flavors for from real ingredients You know and traditional beverage ideas just with fruit spices herbs and things like that So this this family this guy put this together. He started it was really Sky Andreas and he's got Mexican roots and an experience to him craft beer and things like that So he as wife was pregnant and with a lack of options and so on

He set out to make something so the first thing he started to make was actually this Trapace, which we're gonna have a little bit But but the idea was in the philosophy of this company is if they can't hold the ingredient in their hands It doesn't go in their drinks. So everything is there are no they don't use any extracts essences Fruit concentrates everything it's whole fruit peels herbs flowers spices and using techniques like you know Steeping and maceration and cold pressing and so on to get it. So all right basically it's It's it's it's pretty fantastic good stuff for you. So and they're also made to go with with booze If you want to make a booze the option sure, so we're gonna start off the first one here This is a Hibiscus mocktail. So it's just a simple easy gateway into it So this they're they're taken on the companies called Casapiniata. I don't know if it said that yet or not But it's their take on the Ogwa to Jamaica. So it's just traditional Mexican Hibiscus drink and so you're getting whole dried Hibiscus flowers fresh ginger

Using the gava for the sweetener in there. So you get that deep red color and that's all just from Hibiscus from the flower itself You don't want to like about it like it's It's got it's very crisp, but there's no sweetness I don't like drink it a little sweet. Yeah, but I find some of the known alcoholic ones. There's like a real sweet taste to it There's nothing it's not tart at all. It's just like very this is and this is really good This is kind of it's got a little bit of mild tartness off the beginning of it there But it still has a bit of that floral has some earthy character to it and so on So in that little with a spicy ginger finish to it. I like the deep red do and the deep red. Yeah fabulous color So serve it cold over ice. You know, a lime garnish would work awesome in this And if you want to make a booze you put some gin in there. Oh god. Yes, right? Yeah, like like baggain It's just and you got a really trick easy made cocktail super natural for it Well, I like the fact that yeah, if you mix it It's so the ingredients are filtered water Hibiscus flowers Organic blue aghuave syrup ginger citric acid carbon dioxide. So that's it. Yeah, and it's got Like 13 grams of sugar

So for calories. Yeah They're good for you. Okay, so now you got a poloma. All right, we get the poloma right this is this is risky This is familiar to familiar name though, but it's you know the grapefruit the grapefruit plus grapefruit peel lime juice lime peel in here So they do everything so they hand peel everything they steep all the peels separately To capture all those oils and the bitterness to it They got some fresh rosemary in here some Himalayan pink salt and again, just the goddess syrup that you know what you can really taste The Himalayan pink salt like just I've really like I like Himalayan pink salt, but I can taste the right off the bat right in there. That's such a great Now salt is such a great addition to tequila beverages things like that. Yes. This is a You know the poloma is the most popular cocktail in Mexico So and it's ahead of the margarita believe it or not But this is it so serve with a you know grapefruit or a lime Half salt the rim if you wanted to and if you want to make a booze you just add tequila and mezcal to it and you're good to go

And it's like I know what it says carbon dioxide. It's not very carbonated at all. No, no It's just a nice and they're just like nice tight bubbles to it right if you're not gonna feel gassy from it or get that bloated feeling at all Because I think for people who have you know used to drink and now they're like, you know what? I'm just not drinking alcohol anymore. Yeah It's hard to find some non-alcohol drinks that actually have good flavor that either don't taste like their fake Absolutely don't taste too sweet or too sweet. Yeah, so far too for two man Two for two. Yeah, either top notch So this is the next one. This is a tapatch and this is a new one for me. I never heard of this before But this is sort of their centerpiece of it. This is their only bottled one at the moment So it's the tapatch. It's a pre-Columbian Mexican beverage traditionally made from pineapple Pilon pilon silo or sil and spices is implemented for several days So this is a non-alcohol version and they use real pineapple the pilon sil cinnamon sticks close and some arbol a chili in there Dude, it's got quite the aroma to it. Oh man. That's like

As much like your best it's like it's almost like a tea beverage right Oh Yeah subtle dried sort of chili finished with some of that warm baking spice in there. Yeah, it's quite it does have a dried It's yeah, it's very dry actually super flavorful Though lots of flavors lots of flavors And so you would say there's a bouquet of flavors. You know, and I like the pineapple pineapple isn't It's not over the top and I'd either you don't get that crazy. It's got a little hot aftertaste Yeah, that's that chili just right the finish on it, but it comes in a little bit later on you Uh, so yeah, if you like a little if you like it that's not super hot like trust me I'm a pansy when it comes to hot food, but that's right That's just got a little bit of warmth to it. Yeah, yeah And the pilon the pilon silo or maybe butchering the name of that pronunciation But it's essentially it's an unrefined Mexican sugar, you know, cane sugar with sort of that natural molasses like a character to it

So imagine this it's got cinnamon in it too actually Yeah, so imagine this with just an aged rum Or again tequila or mezcal yeah, and you have fabulous cocktail with that um Yeah, that's like you don't really great great product again super clean Lovely now we've got the strawberry shrub. Okay. Yeah, so now we're moving into the shrub So uh, these are this is when we started drinking vinegar So apple cider vinegar, yeah, yeah a shrub is essentially a drinking vinegar So historically it shrubs yep, there it's a way of preserving And combining fruit sugar and vinegar before refrigeration And so that acidity is used in these adult non-alcoholic drinks Uh, because it applies a structure and that bite to it that might otherwise come from from alcohol and so on So this first one is the strawberry shop. It does not smell like strawberry dude I'm right. Yeah, it did not but smells kind of sour But it's real strawberry apple cider vinegar agave and some fresh mint

You really smell the vinegar Don't taste it as much, but you smell it. Mm-hmm for sure But that strawberry that real strawberry flavor comes through Yeah, you don't smell the strawberry really at all, but the flavor comes through yeah Yeah, it tastes better than it smells. I'll say that. Mm-hmm Because vinegar obviously is not the greatest aroma, but yeah, I agree with that too But the flavor is wonderful and that and about this is like gin vodka You know, like a weight rum with this be fantastic. Yeah, so the these are all non-alcoholic that we're doing today if you're just joining us and From Casup and Yada Canadian company And I like the there you said if it's anything that's not in your hands is not their ingredients If you can't put it in your hands. Yeah, it's not and it's not natural ingredient, right? So, you know, I think he says you know basically if all the ingredients sound like they're you require a lot of coat versus No, cutting that like you see all the dexlox the wrong you're like, okay. Yeah, forget it forget it Okay, now I got a mimosa mimosa. I know the mimosas aren't your favorite thing

But these are this is built with actual natural the Niagara Reasling vinegar And some real orange gava tumeric and cardamom the smell on this Is really quite lovely. I thought this smell like it's very flowery Yeah, very far. Yeah, it's instead of recreating sort of sparking wine the Reasling vinegar it kind of provides some dryness in a city Well, carrying that floral fruit character along with it Now that doesn't taste anything like a mimosa that that I've had like because you're used to somebody putting orange juice into something And that's it. Well, maybe right probably yeah This is this is really you know, what I think you put you know add sparking wine to this or Maybe the most refreshing one. I'd like to get into this refreshing. Yeah, that one's That one on a cold day. I mean on a hot day with some ice. Oh, yeah, absolutely. I'm not a big mimosa But this one here So this is brunch without requiring to write the rest of Sunday off

I mean sometimes we want to do it. I get about new fund days. That's right. It just gets it going It's like the end. It's just like the primer. That's right. That's right. You're rolling Right. I saw somebody say you know, they don't go too hard on Fridays or Saturdays They wait till Sunday because if they're gonna waste a day feeling like crap, they'd rather get paid for it They did it on the weekend Other bosses are loving that right. That's right. Yeah Nice and last but not least ginger ginger Yeah, so this one your fresh ginger root. This is that nagra empire apple cider vinegar And rosewood winery honey fresh lime juice and peel So we're getting again all local ingredients to it to suit to as well, right? So Interesting like that one is probably the least flavorful of all six Hey, well, it's really it's just really really clean. Yeah, like it's it's more like um it's more like a uh it's kind of like

Sparkling it's like a sparkling water but with a much better flavor than just a regular flavored water. Yeah, but it is It is definitely clean on that. I think you know, this would be great because it's that Clevver's tube but that ginger comes from nicely, you know, think of that with a whiskey or a bourbon or a dark rum kind of thing with that Or even gin for that matter would be that's something gin goes with everything. No, gin does seem to go a lot to think goes with everything but Yeah, just again nice clean refreshing You know, I like that it's not over the top of the ginger to sometimes some of these ginger things can go really really heavy on it Now does this come in a pack of all different flavors? Oh, they're all solos. Corsolas. Yeah, all single so and we got them at both locations All six reveal both locations. Well, if I had to rank a man that him Habiscus in the Paloma and you know what I mean the most They went for sure Tapashe was just very different because of that it had that yeah, the subtle surprise you a little fire totally totally

I really like that. That's Pache, you know, again and and put some some rum into that yeah That is viscous. You know that is viscous with that That is a bit of a gin. I'm gonna have to try to do it because you know, it's my job now just to see if it works It is your job. Yeah, you gotta be informed about these things. 100% yeah 100% these are work related Works related. We're doing absolutely. They have great stuff. So it's available this weekend and green gold We'll see if they click you go right on Saturday top notch. What a great what a great CFL season this year You know what honestly this is this is being the most entertaining CFL season I could think like and not just the else games like I watch a lot of the games around league and it is There's lots of offense. It's high scoring. It's back and forth kick returns. You know teams are teams are You know, I like the fact like the fact that teams are taking the ball rather than deferring just tells me lots of teams They they want their offense to get going Yeah, right and I can generate things and so now eminence and obviously one of the best defenses that helps them But you know like you look at eminence and they want that stretch there with the three straight games first drive of the game

Boom you're up. Yeah, and you know you put the team behind the eight ball a little bit Yeah, absolutely my mom is loving it. She my mom watches every single game From every team every week She's got a notepad beside her. Oh, she'll be keep track of everything. She's gonna be tired on Saturday called droople Saturday Oh, no, you'll be exact. I think they record it. So she'll probably push a couple till Sunday. You know she's in her 80s Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, she's the biggest CFL fan out there. I heard my dad. Yeah, they're watching all she's got her notepad Got a no-pass. So you if you need to do fine anything about any scores Okay, that's a good This is your new season you just give them a call notes here. That's right. Yeah, I like mom. Oh, it's what's going on here I like it. That's right. That's awesome great stuff Dave. We appreciate it. I'm having a weekend. You do that's David owns from Surebrook liquor you
