17 courts, hundreds of matches, thousands of points, all happening simultaneously during the US Open, and you can't possibly be there for everything. That's why IBM helps bring together billions of data points with more than 20 years of player history, with scores, stats, insights, and highlights behind every moment so nothing gets missed. IBM, let's create smarter business. Here's when you want it with Bloomberg News Now, I'm Dan Schwartzman. It's day two of the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas. The aim is to drum up enthusiasm for Republican candidates running in the midterms. Vice President J.D. Vance was tonight's keynote speaker. Look, I'm not asking anybody to agree with me on every single issue. I'm not asking anybody to agree on every single policy of the administration. What I am asking you to do is to recognize the contrast with the radicals and recognize the achievements of the last 18 months.

We have done a lot, my friends, and we can do a lot more if we fight together. Following Vance, President Trump delivered closing remarks, here's his supporters to get out and vote. We swear that on November 3rd, we are going to go out and vote. President Trump also reiterated his surprise, proposal to send every American adult $5,000 for Republicans retain control of both chambers of Congress in November. Oracle reported growth in its cloud computing business that topped analyst estimates. It suggests the company's large AI data center projects are helping boost its financial results. Rishi Jaluria is managing director for software equity research at RBC Capital Markets, and he has a sector-perform rating on this stock. It really feels like this is more going to be a temporary benefit, that they'll see this massive scaling up of OCI revenue, but it may not be durable and it may not come at real margins that contributes to the bottom line of the profitability, which is ultimately what matters, I think, in the long term. That's Rishi Jaluria, managing director for software equity research at RBC Capital

Markets. Adobe gave an outlook for sales that narrowly missed analyst estimates. Revenue will be $6.8 billion to $6.85 billion in the quarter ending in November. The midpoint of that range misses the $6.85 billion average prediction, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The shares fell less than 1% in extended trading with the stock already down 29% this year, heading into the quarterly report. Iran has resumed production of ballistic missiles using stockpiled components and working in underground facilities. That's according to the Wall Street Journal citing US and Middle East officials. Despite damaged industrial facilities and a naval blockade, officials say Iran is assembling liquid propellant and solid propellant missiles when activity reported at several underground sites. The renewed production underscores the difficulty of fully dismantling Tehran's missile program. Officials say that Iran can assemble missiles from existing components and may have thousands of ballistic missiles in its arsenal. Meanwhile, another rally in oil prices spurred losses in stocks and bonds.

Brank Crew jumped to more than $108 as rising tensions in the Middle East heighten concerns over global supplies. Now lifted US yields to multi-year highs. The latest read on wholesale inflation could boost the case for a rate hike from the Fed. A measure of producer price inflation showed renewed pressure from rising energy prices last month. Here's Eric Weiner, senior editor of Fakwades for Bloomberg News. Talking to bond traders, which we've been doing a lot more of than we usually do on the equity's desk, there's a sentiment that the far end of the yield curve, the tens and the thirties, will actually come in. They hike rates because it will be a sign that the Fed is serious about fighting inflation. Now, whether if we enter into a hiking campaign, that stays with us. That's another story. That's Bloomberg's Eric Weiner. Up next for Wall Street is tomorrow morning's August CPI report. Vestors will keep an eye on it for signals about next week's Fed decision. Treasury Secretary Scott Besson dismissed concerns about Thursday's small and expected

debt buyback operation and played down concerns about a jump in yields. Besson took issue with observers who pointed out his intervention in the Treasury market, appeared at a sync with Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Worsh to state the desire for markets to set prices free of guidance from the US Central Bank. Besson spoke after two year yields hit their highest since 2024 and 10 year rates reached levels unseen since 2023. Besson said the Treasury market was, in quote, very good shape. Open AI is considering slowing down the development of cutting edge artificial intelligence with CEO Sam Altman hoping other AI companies will do the same. This comes on the heels of employees of leading AI firms raising public concerns about the increased risks of advanced AI systems with some calling for a mechanism to slow the pace of its development. Open AI's top scientist recently wrote a post saying he believes AI companies should be quote, coordinating to slow down future development as needed. The Supreme Court blocked Missouri from using a congressional map engineered by GOP lawmakers

in the midterm elections, granting an emergency request from a group backing a voter referendum on the map. The ruling directs the state to revert to its 2022 district lines which would likely produce five Republican districts, two Democratic districts, and one competitive district. Missouri's Secretary of State Denny Hoskins and Attorney General Catherine Hanoi said they would comply with the order and direct local election authorities to use a 2020 congressional map for the November 3rd election.
