I want to play it for Dominique and get his thoughts on it, and also get his thoughts on something that happened with Melkhyper Jr. But let's play the flood first. Dominique, we had the old ballco, John Steve Sparrier. This was towards the end of the show yesterday. He was a celebrity picker.

3:03He was making pegs, college football pegs. And here's Taylor trying to get the old ballcoach out of his mouth. To get the old bowl, the old bowl. You okay? The guy in the seizure there. You okay? You okay? That was rough, man. What happy? So what happy? You walk him through what happy? Explain it. What happy is that was at the very end of the show, Dominique. And I'm not like you. I'm not a volume shooter. I'm not meant to be talking 90% of the day. I'm a corner specialist. I only want like one or two shots again. Right. That's not true. And I was put in a spot yesterday where I had to shoot 50 times. And by the end, I was just running on e. Yeah. Oh gosh. They needed you to step up. But you could do it. You came in the biggest moment you choked. I mean, calling me a volume shooter is kind of an insult. Like volume shooters. They got low percentage. Like I'm a volume shooter.

4:03And most of it is good. So chill out, Lance. Yes, a volume shooter generally means you're the guy taking a ton of shots. And not many of them are going in. I mean, it's a suggestion that everybody else on your team doesn't like you. And kind of sucks. Right. That's what you say about volume shooters. Yes. I'm not a volume shooter. I'm a superstar. I think what you meant. A one one you can build the franchise around. I think what you're looking for. You are a volume shooter. Played again. Six man. Six man. Six. Six. Six. Six. Six. Six. Six. When I do make mistakes, it's often because I'm thinking of something different than what I'm trying to say. It's like I might be thinking of the next sentence, or I might be undecided between two similar words that made the same thing that you combine them. Like what? I want to know what was going through your mind.

6:04Was there something, or you just, your tongue just gave up. It was like nah, we, we, we, we, we, we, I, I, I, I, I, I, yeah. You have to tell your tongue not today. I mean, you do. Yeah, I tapped out because Dominic, that's a good theory that you have. Be prepared what you're going to say next. The problem with how my brain works. I don't know what's coming next. Yeah. That's why we get along so well. I mean, I know, man. I have, uh, Taylor has told me here that you were at a counting crow's concert. Um, if he, this was last week. And if Taylor had asked me, hey, Dominic went to a concert last week. Guess what concert he went to? I'd still be guessing, okay, till the end of time before I was land on the counting grows. What are you doing at a counting grows concert? I had no idea. Man, I'm big fan of Shrek. I was like, not a, um, it was a friend of my wife's husband. Well, she's, they're friends of mine now too, but I met him through,

7:04um, his wife, uh, was having a big birthday party, like 50th, I think birthday party. And he's a big counting crow's fan. So he got counting crows to come and perform. And I was there and on a way to the things like, I don't know, I don't know counting crow's songs, but they always like real chill music. It was fine. I had a problem with it. It was cool. It was non-offensive. And then every song that came over reminded me of like 90s TV and movies. I was like, yeah. I feel like I'm like in an episode of Friends right now. It was kind of dope. Yep. Uh, is it fair? Was it his birthday? Did you say a birthday? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was his 50th birthday, I believe. All right. I don't want to offend a friend here, but it seems like, I mean, that's a ridiculous ask. I mean, inviting all your friends to a counting grows concert for your 50th. That's crazy. I, I thought it was the opposite. Like, we didn't have to, hey, he just, man, man, through a party at an arena. Or, well, I guess an amphitheater and totus all to come for free. He was food, free drinks, and we also get to see counting grows.

8:06Yeah. I don't know. I thought it was it would be worse if the music, the band they selected was like more of like niche band. Like tough. Yeah. To have like a concert. And it's like something hard rock heavy metal. So I'm like, nah. Like this is the perfect band, I think for a birthday party because like all the music, like, yeah, this is nice. All right. Yeah, you're moving a little bit. Yes. Mr. Jones, yeah. Exactly. I could, and all the songs sound kind of to me at least kind of like the same. It was like, unoffensive. You listen to the words. You could get a little meaning out of it. It could get you, get you bobbing a little bit. Like they're all the opening to Dawson's Creek or something. I'm a, I'm a, I'm a pacie. Yeah. Like I wasn't down with Dawson. Big pacie dude personally. Pacie and Joey. Like Dawson and then the blonde one I like and they got on my nerves. Me and Dominique went to a green day concert at the Super Bowl. What?

9:06Me, Dominique, Charlie Kravitz and Tyra Banks. What? The woman, you remember that we went in in Gavin Newsom. You remember we went in and realized that we weren't in the VIP. You remember I went back out and got us all wristbands. The woman who gave me the wristbands was the wristband distributor at this concert. And she remembered me and all that. Wow. It was very, because I went to this concert with my wife and the woman was like jumped up, gave me a hug and I looked over my wife. I've never met this woman in my life. She's like, you remember me from the Super Bowl? Right. No, I don't. I don't remember anything. I was like, what you doing? Yes. But no, Dan I remember that she was the one who hooked this up with those wristbands. She told me I got to top tier wristbands this time. So don't be. And what your wrist said. How did Tyra Banks end up in this equation? How did that happen? It was a Super Bowl party.

10:06So there was a bunch of people there. And we were in the VIP. So we were between these types of people. Yes. Because, yes. Because the violence is a VIP. I apologize. That's what Radio Row and Super Bowl week is all about. You wind up in a concert with Tyra Banks. Yes. And Dominique Foxworth. Right. Exactly right. Now, I think my wife's going to come to the next Super Bowl. Really? That young lady was a little too happy to see me. You'll be at the next one. You'll be at the next one. We're going to be in LA. Hand in hand. I'm not going to no party. Going to dinner and to bed. You were never going to a Super Bowl alone again, my friend. I never. We'll get to the NFL. It's just a second, Dominique. We had Mel Kuiper Jr. on yesterday. And I want to hear if you have a theory on this. Okay. So the interview started. He's been on with us several times. And the interview started and Mel was calling Taylor by his correct name. Taylor. And then towards the end, he kept calling him Lance.

11:06And we haven't stopped calling him Lance since. Do you have a theory as to what's going on there? It's easy. It's so obvious. And I'm going to send you guys something. And I don't know if you can put it up at some point or not. But I want you to see this. I want you to remember that Mel Kuiper. He lives. Eat, sleep, breathe, the draft. And I think Mel Kuiper looked at Taylor. And saw. Train Lance. That's what I said. Look at the picture. Look at the picture. I sat in the chat. Okay. Mel was like. He saw Train Lance. It was like. Right. Side by side. Don't boys see? Right. Dominic, this is something that I've gotten before. Not Train Lance, but anybody who looks even slightly racially ambiguous. Everybody kind of just says we all look alike. Charlie and I had a had a debate because he was like, no, Taylor's white.

12:09I was like, no, Taylor's not white. That was black. And it's like, Charlie, come on, man. Like, it's low. So you got a little sorry. I got some texture to it. Man, stop it. Yeah. It's like, tell it. And he was like, but his last name was like, I don't care about that. Right. That don't matter. That don't matter. Today was not going to give him no food at the counter. And Montgomery, Alabama. I know that. Or that was that was a Greensboro North Carolina where they had to sit in. He wasn't going to get no food. See, we had a debate the other day. Are they making white marcuses? And now I'm wondering if they're making black vipulasses. Yes. Oh. First of his kind. Yes. First of his kind. Taylor, put it on the pole. Let's do got 798x. Taylor, white or black? What a ridiculous thing. Yes or no are the options. Oh, man. I have told the Taylor shock to hear. He learned something about you, Dominique.

13:09We're going to find out together what it is. It shocked him. Taylor, what'd you learn? What? You stole it. It was the counting crow. Oh, that was it. It was the counting. I thought it was something else. I told you that in confidence. And you went to the, you went to the pocket. Who's the volume shooter now? I am so sorry. I didn't think it was that big of a reveal. I mean, it got to be honest with you. Like, I mean, I was shocked, but it wasn't that shocked, I guess. This is what I'm trying to say. Now, when you paint it as a birthday party for a friend of yours, I mean, it's not as shocking. It's not like you went on your own purchase tickets and, you know, spent money to go there. You would never do that. I might next time I'm a fan now. It was rocking. They real, yeah. He's accidentally in love. I mean, I feel like concerts that I go to that I would go to. I'm probably mid to lower as far as the coolness rankings. Yes. I have a star hitting up these kind of crows, Joyce. I got all the best moves. I'm cool with my favorite. He's dancing. You know the feeling.

19:24because that team on paper is that good, it's that talented. What should we expect from Aaron Donald after taking a couple of years off? It's hard for me to really pinpoint it. I think back to full strength, I think, is unlikely. You can't expect him to be peak Aaron Donald. He retired at that. The problem is the difference between peak Aaron Donald and, I don't know, 5% less, 10% less, 15% less. It's still the best defensive tackle, interior line, and football. So it's hard to imagine that he's going to come back and not be effective. I do think that I like the stamina and all that stuff. And maybe his body isn't gotten, is going to take some time to get back. He used to sit like wear and tear football. So it might take a second, but I don't know. I have a hard time envisioning, especially because he's not old yet. Just because he retired, he had a couple of years off. A hard time envisioning him not being impactful, hugely impactful when he gets back to the rams.

20:24Would you take the rams or the fields if you had to? I always got, I mean, I take the field. Yeah. There's like, I mean, they have the situation where we don't know what's going to happen with Pukinuku. They have a pretty fragile quarterback who also can be turnover prone in certain situations. And it's also football like things will happen there in a tough division. Last year they missed the number one seed by that ridiculous fumble into the end zone that I got reviewed and overturned. I felt like five minutes later. So like these things can continue to happen and they could come up short. I think football you can never take one team over the field. Dominic staying in the division, the 49ers have had the most eventful off season of all time. The Brandon Ayuk drama, the Kyle Shanahan car crash, the owner getting arrested on suspicion of engaging in prostitution in an Ohio trailer park. And the highlight of them all this past week, the scammer, Bayjon love.

21:26As a former NFL player yourself, are you a bit offended that this guy was able to pass himself off as an NFL caliber athlete and scam people out of millions when you see those beach videos? I'm so proud of them. I mean, I gotta be honest. No, I'm not at all offended because this is the argument I was having with Charlie is like, you don't understand how scams work if you think that he was actually fooling people. The way that scams work is you shoot at these type of scams, you shoot it out to a hundred people. You only fool like 15 dummies like he wasn't selling that to serious people. He was catching women who live in the middle of nowhere who were like shocked and stunned and wanted to believe that this guy, I promise you if he was shooting at big city people, they were like, what? You'll get out here. They screenshot it and send it to their homegirls and laughed. Right. A volume shooter of sorts, right?

22:26They'll use the volume to the big city people. They have the Dept charts member us. Like, like, Dejon love doesn't get past their radar. I mean, I would think so. I think like, not just a big city people, but like, I think people make this into a thing where they think that there is like all these women who are like gold diggers and chasing athletes. I'm not saying that they don't exist. Maybe they do exist. Most of the time what you end up buying in this people who just like, much like high school is like, these guys are cool. I want to be around these guys because they're cool and important. But if there are some and those are people that I came across, maybe I wasn't successful enough for the true gold diggers to show up. But my guess is the real ones who know what they're doing. They're not fool by that for a second. They know what a route looks like. They might know all the starters for the teams in their area. I guarantee you that a real Instagram fatty.

23:29Not falling for that seriously. They see them running routes on the sand like they might actually follow athletes. Yes. They see how athletes will look and how they behave and what they actually do. And they are screen shot and that incident to the girls like you can see this idiot. They're running routes and his helmet on his sand with a flat chest. You see him track that ball? You see his boy take a snap from under center, the vertical way and throw it out like, come on. That dude ain't no real training. They know the same way that you know that that was bullshit when you saw it. They know it was bullshit. If you haven't figured it out by the time you get to the video of him wearing a helmet on the beach, you have to figure it out. Yes. Yes. And then he's like, I don't know if you saw the other videos where he's talking about he owns portions of who she stores and something. It's like, yeah, that's just like common sense. That's all in sex fifth avenue. Like sex fifth avenue is not a street.

24:30Right. Fifth avenue is a street. Sex fifth avenue is a department store. Like what are you talking about? Have you ever worn your helmet outside of the facility? I mean, absolutely not. I mean, I'm like, why would you? The stadium and it work. It's it. Practice games. All the time you put a damn helmet on. Carrying it around. Yeah. Crazy. Is Bill Bela check back? Mike, you shake it. He said, right now. He's back. We'll see what happens next week. Whoever he's got next week, we're going to get into the defense conference play. We'll see how back he is. Well, Taylor loves this week because he's off this week. So he gets to be one and oh for a couple of weeks. How about that? Yes. Congratulations. 18. I'm a little Lance. Tray Lance. Which coach, Dominique, do you think has? I love this because it's preseason football and we just can't get to the season soon enough. But which coach, I'm sure you've been asked this a thousand times by Mike Greenberg alone.

25:30Get up. Which coach? Taylor. The coach with the most pressure is Zach Taylor. How is Zach Taylor the most tenured coach in that division? It's crazy. It is amazing. But yeah, I think that they, I guess the organization also doesn't really like to spend money. So I have to look and see how much you got on his contract. How much they would have to pay him to go away to see if he's actually under any pressure. But I mean, it depends. That question is, it's a great question because you can answer it three different ways, which you might have to over the course of the all season. Yes. I might say Sean McVeigh. Yeah, the most pressure. Sure. Because he's got all these talent around. There's a lot of pressure on him. I could go ahead and say that Joe Brady, most pressure. It seemed like they cleaned out a successful coach in order to maybe get further. If you don't actually get further or get to the Super Bowl or conference championship at least, then we're looking like maybe this was the wrong decision. A lot of pressure for a lot of different people. And we're getting closer to season. I can stop making it up.

26:30Tom, you know, it's preseason because there's a lot of buzz right now around this cowboys team. Is Caleb Downs good enough to immediately transform this cowboys defense? I mean, it's not just him though. Like they've gotten a new coordinator. They brought in Malachi at Lawrence. Of course, Quinn and Williams had it all season. What's the ratio at the defensive band to go opposite maybe Malachi Lawrence on those passing downs. I think Caleb Downs is the most interesting and exciting because he was drafted pretty highly. And he's seen like in the preseason and in the training camp stuff. He seems like he's even better than we thought it was. He's shown some versatility and man coverage that I didn't think that he had before. So I think he and these other guys are good enough to make this team a serious consender in the NFC. I was thinking about this with Caleb Downs and Josh Downs. If you could build an NFL shot. I meant Richon Gary. Sorry. I'm all bad. That's all right. I'm just going to be a little bit more confident. With Caleb Downs and Josh Downs, Dominique, if you could build an NFL team around any pair of brothers in NFL history, which duo would you choose?

27:37I had a short list of Travis and Jason Kelsey, JJ and TJ watt TK and Tiki and rendez barber. And then Peyton and Eli Manning were you just bench you love. I mean, you got it. Unless he's playing the Patriots. Unless he's playing the Patriots. I feel like the Brady brothers or it's the Brady brothers. That would be nice if there was a Brady receiver, but there's a manning receiver. But he got he had a neck issue, right? Cooper was spirit. Yes. He was the only thousand year art receiver at their high school. Yes. So old old Beckham came and then became another thousand year receiver. Orchard's dad. Yes. I was thinking of the Bailey brothers champion boss. They got the best names of any brothers in NFL. I mean, I feel like I'm not going to be the champs the greatest corner ever. Boss was a really good linebacker, but not quite as good. I feel like you can't beat the Watts though. Like you can have both on the field at the same time. And they're both unblockable when healthy. That's a good foundation. I guess Tiki and Rondy on both sides, but I don't know that either of them are as impactful as.

28:41As one watt brother. So yeah, I think we go to bosses. The Harbors. Oh, bosses. How about the Harbors? The Blackwood brothers. How about that? I mean, the killer bees. I had a joke for the bosses and then you went black and I'll wear it. No, I want to hear your boss and joke. I know the time we messed up the time. I'll say it. If I chose them, I'm not sure that they want me to choose them. That's all. No, sir. No subroses. All right. Tell you to follow up there. No, that wasn't follow up. Oh, that was your father. That was your father. That was your fall. So Dominic, I want to ask you here, because I was I was ranting about Lane Kiffin yesterday, because I don't believe a single word that comes out of that. No. If he says the low, I think he's like, if he says it's sunny, it's raining, if he says it's raining, it's sunny out. Do you think all the players he came out and said he had a team meeting and all the players were okay with him bringing in professional players to take their positions, to take their

29:46snaps and they're playing time. And said all the players are okay with it. They just want to win a championship. You buying that? I mean, I'm sure that they're playing a player. So he said he talked to like the leadership council, which like I was a part of those when I was in college. It's a selection of the star players normally who are like juniors and seniors and it's a way for the head coach to be able to like prep his decisions that he's going to make anyway, right? And be able to say like I talked to this group like we don't have no actual power. We can't change anything. And I'm sure that's exactly what happened is he probably didn't meet with those guys after all of the controversy and was like, Hey, we got these guys coming in. You okay with that? Like sure. Whatever. You go make us better. And he's like, yeah, the whole team believe it. If the whole team said no, if they start to lose, right? If the whole team said no, we're not okay with it. He'd still be bringing in those players. Absolutely. I don't know. I wonder if he like excluded the tight ends room.

30:49I would have a team meeting. No tight. I have a bold NFL take. I want to share with you and get your thoughts on it because we have to make bold NFL takes. And you know, all the teams that made the playoffs last year are not going to make the playoffs this year and teams who didn't make the playoffs this year are going to make the playoffs this year. Who didn't make it last year? I have Seattle. Seattle not making it to the playoffs. How do you feel about that? Huh? That's a quality bold take. Thank you. I mean, they they're returning a lot of their players, which makes it hard to to agree with that take all together. But it's good because it's assuming that you're hanging it on Sam Darnold who while we remember him as a super champion and we remember him having a great game in the playoffs against the Rams kind of had a bit of a up and down year where it wasn't all beautiful the whole time. So like I think that will be the argument is that Sam Darnold is not going to be able

31:53to hold it together all season long and returning. I guess they wouldn't got generic and price to be the running back but losing sharpened an injury and Walker to free agency. Maybe the offense won't be as effective. So yeah, it's not a terrible take in that division is hard to tell. It's pretty good take. Yep. I didn't put that much thought into it. I just said, oh, super bold champion. I don't know if they're any good. Someone's looking at his challenge though. You should start doing it where you just like makes some shit up. And then see if somebody can construct the argument around it and like you don't answer just like, hey, I think the Browns are going to make the playoffs. And then when they look at you like crazy, think about it. And then you challenge them to use their football action man. I like to make. Yeah, we got a new segment called make it make sense. And you know, do any research? You don't have to think about anything. You say some bullshit and it tells them how to make it make sense. It's a beast tonight. Dummy. That's why you're great because you bring the nuance to the conversation even when Stu

32:53comes with a ridiculous take. That's not ridiculous. That defense can stumble their way to 11 wins this year. Deepeth is really, really, really good. But you would say which Stu knows this reason why he brought this up was because defense is less sticky than offense. Everyone knows this in the advanced analytics community. They know that offense from year to year is probably going to be pretty close to the same, but defense from year to year can swing and something like turnovers can make that happen. Different calls in a game. The way it's ref can make it happen. But defense is aren't often repeat like the Vikings are one that's done it for a good stretch there that continue to stay at the top. And oftentimes defenses fall back a lot further than offense is do so their defense last year was so incredible. Even though they're bringing back most of their players, I think they lost Reek and Kobe off that defense. But even if the defense was back in better than it was before, there's a chance that it takes a step back in a way that offense don't. Do you have a bull take for the upcoming season here?

33:56Just a bull take. I'll try to make sense of it if I can. I think the Tampa Bay bucks are going to be NFC contenders. Anyone can win that division Baker may feel my. No, not even that. I'm sorry. Yeah, go ahead. I was trying to make sense of your take you through shit against the wall and I was trying to make sense of it. Division Baker may feel best quarterback in that division. Tampa Bay has a talented team. Good roster. People would be surprised just how good that roster is, right? Yeah, I want to put a little a few more details behind it. That's the general consensus. Like they had a lot of injuries last year. Their old line is actually one of the best in football when healthy Baker may feel it has had the ability to come through in the clutch from time to time. And then they had Rubin Bain fall to him in the draft and he seems like he's going to be like a blue chip real all pro level type of pass rush. You put him next to be the veil who's enormous, but also an incredible pass rush and collides of can see and Diabie is a great pass rush. So you have a D line that I think makes it really hard for teams to pass against.

34:57And the question is, are they going to be able to run the ball with Bucky Irving in a healthy old line? I think the answer is yes, which makes their passing game. I think a little bit better. And we saw a Buka kind of emerge early in the season last year and fall off as a season went along as other injuries happened. He had to move around. I think that he'll be more stable in this year's system and he'll have incredible, well, not incredible. And that team will be competitive to your point where you started that a vision isn't particularly strong. So they have those six games as some support. He's so good at this. You call them a volume shooter. Jesus Christ. Brick in Lance. Dominique, I'm disappointed. We didn't get your Kyler Murray. There's a path for him to win MVP. Bull take. Oh, wow. There's a path for him to win MVP. There's a path for everybody to win MVP then. Yes. That's challenging Taylor. Make it make sense. There's a path for Kyler Murray. Thank you. Make it make sense. I can see it actually. Yes. You don't get to laugh your way out of it.

35:59We go. By the way, he's not talking to me. He's talking to Taylor. He wants Taylor to explain it. Make it make sense. Kevin always Taylor. Kevin O'Connell quarterback whisper. Kyler Murray throws for 400 yards every game and five total touchdowns every game. That's his path. He didn't make sense of it. And then he didn't make it make sense. I mean, you didn't even mention Justin Jefferson. How could you not even mention the best receiver and football? You said nothing about Christian Dairishov being healthy this year. You didn't even mention that this defense is one of the defenses that's immune to regression because Brian Flores runs this ridiculous blitz scheme and is going to create turnovers managed to do it every year, which is going to set Kyler Murray up. And you didn't mention that it's a narrative award and the story will be this team was really good when they had a quarterback. Then they were really bad when they didn't have a quarterback. Look how valuable this quarterback is when he shows up and they're good again in their and a division that a lot of us think it's really good because it is really good. But everybody on that division has questions on defense.
