Stugotz is shocked that Izzy Gutierrez is having a hard time getting behind this Charlotte Hornets team ahead of tonight’s win-and-in game. Taylor questions whether what the NBA actually needs is for Heat–Hornets to develop into the league’s next great rivalry. Then, Jimmy Hart, the Mouth of the South, joins to discuss the upcoming Hulk Hogan docuseries on Netflix and Hogan’s impact on the sport, as well as his complicated legacy.

It is to Gatson Company, presented by Fandall and the Fandall Sportsbook.
Jimmy Hart, the mouth of the South, is going to join us coming up
in about 10 to 15 minutes to talk about the whole Kogan documentary.
Coming out on Netflix, I am fascinated with Hogan.
Taylor has a fun fact for whole Kogan.
We'll get to that in just a second, but is he?
We have two play in games tonight.
We are rooting for the Hornets.
Our show has decided to get behind the Charlotte Hornets
in large part because Taylor said they are going for it right now
and he said it before anyone else.
Once we get through these two games,
we have great and I'm serious, is he?
Very intriguing.
First round match-ups in the NBA playoffs.
And I'm wondering here, for me, it's Hawks and Knicks,
but I am wondering what is the most intriguing
opening round match-up for you for the NBA playoffs?
Well, before I answer that, I don't know how...
Do I have to be locked into this Hornets fandom tonight?
Because I know I've been...
I know Taylor and I have been saying, you know,
America's team, they're going for it, etc.
But my tone might have changed after that first play in-game.
Where the hell ball got a flagrant, too,
somehow after the game.
What's up, Taylor?
Yeah.
My Charlotte Hornets take two was revisionist history.
Almost like when a guy gets hurt and he starts saying like,
oh, I could have been this, I could have been this.
I had X amount when you know people are going to go back and fact-check them
because I went back and I listened to the take
and I kind of asked it as a question because Izzy was on Radio Row
during the NBA trade deadline and Dan Byer just announced that
the Hornets were trading for Kobe White.
And Izzy, I just asked you,
are the Charlotte Hornets going for it?
Yeah.
Well, it was a question, but once they started to go for it
and put together a winning streak and it looked like they were going to make the playoffs,
then you have to own it.
It's no longer a question, it's a statement.
You know what I'm saying?
That's what I believe I answered, which is typical of me.
I answered your question with a question, right?
Didn't I say going for what?
Exactly.
Yes, when do you ever answer a question?
So when you said going for what,
the next thing you said was going for the playing game?
He's right.
David, they made it to the playing game.
In fact, they made it to a second playing game.
They could be playing with house money right now.
They probably feel like they've accomplished what they needed to accomplish.
And frankly, they got a moment out of Kobe White.
Like, that seems like it's done deal for them.
Because I don't know if I want them to win tonight.
And really, that's terrible.
I mean, well, it's just as much about Lamello Ball.
As much, I also just think that they're going to get
their ass handed to them by the Detroit Pistons.
And I think it's going to be sort of a wake-up call for them.
And I'd rather just let the fantasy exist and see what could have happened.
And maybe they just lose to Orlando because it was a bad day.
So it's a step for you.
Is that the way you're going to do it?
Well, the play-in is definitely a step for them.
If they were to lose in a fashion where let's just say
Lamello Ball has a bad game tonight.
So you've got him kind of, I wouldn't say embarrassing the organization,
but not a great look for the for the trip on Bam out of bio.
And then you'd have a backup or a follow-up game where he doesn't
perform very well.
And he didn't shoot it very well.
And that first play in game either,
I think he would have to go into the offseason with a lot of serious questions
that perhaps for the first time ever some pressure on Lamello Ball
to wake the heck up and be a more traditional acting superstar
and not playing sort of the playground way that he plays sometimes.
Tell you see what's going on here.
The show has gotten behind the Charlotte Hornets.
The Hornets haven't been good in a long, long time.
They haven't been relevant in a long, long time.
And he is still hanging on to what Lamello Ball did to Bam in that game.
Even though Spowe has told everyone,
hey, let it go.
Let it Spowe.
How about that?
I'm on Izzy's side, though, because
yes, the Hornets are a fun story.
But if what happened to my team happened to Izzy with the Miami Heat
where you feel like one player got away with something he very clearly
shouldn't have, two, they took out your best player in the process.
And three, were the team that eliminated you?
I'd give them the double birds, too.
Every time I saw them, take the court.
It's not like he tripped a Pella Larson.
Right.
Or if he would have done me a favor and tripped me hockey.
Yes.
Instead, he tripped Pam out of bio.
Okay.
A nicest superstar in the league that everybody likes.
Okay.
And now we've got a little hatred between Lamello and Bam.
Bam doesn't hate anybody.
Yeah, but I just love that the Heat Head coach has decided to let it go.
A heat fan will not let it go.
And now what a Nick fan is joining in and not letting it go.
I mean, what if I can be clear?
What I'm not, it's not that I'm not letting go and just saying,
hey, that guy needs to pay for his, you know, his wrongdoing.
What I'm saying is if we're going to get the best out of Lamello ball,
if he's ever going to shake out of, you know,
that style of play that he plays now,
you got to start applying the pressure to him.
If he has these back-to-back, you know,
less than great play in games,
goes into the next season.
Everybody stared at him, say,
hey, you're the reason why we didn't make the playoffs.
Maybe we get a different version of him next season.
And the NBA desperately needs rivalries.
You have a budding rivalry with the spurs and the thunder.
You have the mix and the Pacers feels like somewhat of a rivalry,
especially when those two teams meet in the playoffs.
You have the mix and the Hawks feels like somewhat of a rivalry.
Even though you lost the Trey Young aspect,
but Nick's fans will chant,
I'll never forget.
Trey Young and to the big aspect though.
I mean, you lost it.
It's in, it's in, it's in what she did now.
I mean, yeah, but once, once game one tips off on Saturday,
it tips off in the garden with F Trey Youngchance.
We're picking, we're picking that rivalry back up.
So what the NBA might need here is heat hornets
to become this next great rivalry for the next five plus years.
This division, baby.
You can't have a great rivalry with two play it in teams.
I mean, for next year though, you know,
when the hornets pick up somebody and the heat
maybe get honest, you got a rivalry going there.
But yeah, I definitely think that he can't just continue to be rewarded
for this.
He's got to, something bad's got to happen
so that he can sort of shake himself out of it.
Yeah. So which series are you most excited for?
Yeah, thank you.
Yeah, thank you.
To answer your question.
And it's funny that Taylor mentioned,
you know, Victor Wimbledon Yama versus the Thunder.
I think it's Victor Wimbledon Yama versus everybody.
Like he's going to create a rivalry versus everybody.
So I'm intrigued to watch him play against the trailblazers
just because it's going to be his first,
you know, playoff experience, etc.
But my favorite has to be Timber Wolf's Nuggets.
Um, you're getting like the Nuggets are the better team.
They have the better player, but somehow Anthony Edwards
and the Timberwolves are bad matchup for them.
And there's just something about Anthony Edwards
and his, just his attitude and his approach
that, you know, I can beat anybody.
And, you know, when you look at that, his support and cast,
when you look at everything that he's done,
it's like, yeah, he's that guy that's elevating his team.
And so you can 100% see him carrying the Timberwolves
potentially past the Nuggets, which what I would say
be a crazy big upset, but it's the most reasonable upset
that I would say in that Western conference.
I agree with you.
I think that series is along with Nixon Hawks.
Those are the two most intriguing series of the opening round.
Unless Golden State wins and they face Oklahoma City.
I want to see that, you know, that's another thing, right?
So tonight you've got Dylan Brooks versus Steph Curry.
And it's tough to envision Phoenix losing back-to-back home games
in his play and after losing to Portland in a tight one.
So it's going to be a tough game,
but man, we need the Warriors to win that game.
Man, we need Steph Curry to just put something here
in God into the OKC Thunder.
Like, I just need to see that matchup.
I need to see how many MVP's the Steph have, too.
I need to see the guys that are probably going to have two MVP's
because Shae is going to have his second at the end of this year.
So yeah, that would be a crazy, great matchup.
And, you know, I said that Minnesota beating Denver would be a great upset
or the most reasonable upset.
This one would be a shocker.
Don't get me wrong, but it wouldn't like, I wouldn't be that shocked.
If Steph goes on, you know, goes on a heater.
Jimmy Hart, mouth of the South.
Well, you went to wrestling, growing up busy a little bit, but not that much.
But are you intrigued by Hulk?
Hogan.
I was as a child and his rise to fame is intriguing.
I haven't seen the documentary yet, but anybody's rise to fame is always intriguing,
just from like a societal aspect.
All right. Well, I'm still a kid.
Taylor has a fun fact here about Hulk Hogan.
I'm told what is the fun fact?
Hulk Hogan was born in Augusta, Georgia.
Wow, home of the masters.
How about that?
I've been fun to lips.
Hulk Hogan, there's a documentary coming out for port series on, on Hulk Hogan,
his rise to superstardom and Jimmy Hart, mouth of the South.
One of his best friends going to join us next.

Jimmy, the mouth of the South Hart,
Hulk's longtime manager and closest friend throughout his career.
Real American on Netflix comes out on April 22nd.
It's a four-part docu series.
I was talking to Jimmy right before we started.
And he went right into manager mode,
right into promotional mode because that's all he does.
It was unbelievable, Jimmy.
It really was. Thank you.
Hey, that's my life.
That's what I've always done.
You know, music and of course, we're wrestling, you know,
or wrestling and music.
So it's all been great, man.
Thank you all for having us on.
Thank you, man.
You're at, uh, where are you right now?
Las Vegas, man.
We're right here at the MGM grand.
We've got all the the rooms fixed up.
We got over six or 700 people here from the office
and everything.
Celebrities stars, surprises.
So it's going to be a great, great, great WrestleMania
these next couple of days.
Jimmy, what can you tell people about Real American on Netflix?
Again, it comes out April 22nd.
It's a four-part docu series.
It's the definitive documentary on your friend.
One of your best friends, Hulk Hogan.
What can you tell people about it to get them excited for it?
Well, we got a little taste of it last night.
Seven months in the making.
Believe that or not.
But we had a little taste of it last night
for all the fans here at WrestleWorld
and Triple H even came out.
And they unveiled a great, beautiful brand new statue
of the Hulkster to go next Andre the Giant
when we put a hall of fame together.
But I got to see an hour of one of the episodes
and it was phenomenal.
I couldn't believe I'd great Netflix.
The company has really jumped in
and put this whole thing together.
And plus it's really the last interview
that Hulk really ever did, you know?
Yeah.
Can you talk about Hulk and what he meant
to wrestling and the growth of wrestling?
Wow, you know, people always say,
I said, how do you become friends?
And we started in Memphis, Tennessee together
with Jerry the King of Laudder
and the local wrestling territory
many, many years ago.
But I realized back then,
if you want to stay with Hulk,
Hulk and I've been friends for so many years
because I never borrowed money from him
and I always told him the truth
when he asked me something
even though I put a little bit of sugar on it.
How many people were reaching
in the Hulk's pockets trying to grab money?
Oh my gosh, man.
Every time he reached for his bill,
he found somebody's hand back there.
It was crazy.
That's not what he was looking for.
You know how to do this with any kind of celebrities.
You know, hey, what have you done for me lately?
You know, whatever.
So it's all crazy.
But Hulk always tried to help him out.
We have a few of our wrestling fans
that have fallen
by the wayside financial a little bit
but they'd always called Hulk for it.
Hulk would always give him the money
and we'll give it back to you Hulk
but Hulk never asked for it
and they never asked to give it back.
But it made him happy.
That was okay.
Jimmy, when you reached that level of fame,
was it tough for Hulk to separate
where Hulk, Hogan, the character ends
and where Terry, the person kind of began?
You don't know. He was really always on.
He believed that the old thing is,
you know, if you turned down one,
you could sign 500 autographs
but if you turned down one,
that's the one that'll be on the internet.
That's the one to be going,
Hulk, Hogan, you signed my autographs
and they'll better go, well, you hate Hulk
because he didn't sign the little kids autographs.
But they forget you're there for five or six hours
doing stuff and so we just get out of time
but we try to make sure that everybody
that came out got a chance
to have an autograph by the Hulkster.
Sometimes he couldn't work out
because we had an X amount of time
for one place and they scooted everybody
up to another place, you know.
But he tried to do the best he could while he could
but 99% of the people loved him
and that's all you can do.
You can't please everyone
so you got to please yourself, right?
Yes, sir.
Jimmy, what's the biggest misperception about Hulk Hogan
that you would like to kind of clear up here?
Oh, the first thing, I'll tell you right off the bat.
When we did, we were out in California
doing one of the Rawls, I believe,
and we came back out and Hulk got booed.
You know, he said, Jimmy Hart's the one that got booed.
He wore that stupid jacket.
I said, no, it wasn't me.
But what happened?
We're state red state, okay?
So once we got out of the van,
some kids were there going,
we love you, Hulk,
but you love Donald Trump.
So we knew we were in trouble
and he did some pre-interviews
with Trump, Vance T-shirt on, you know?
And so we knew what was going to happen.
So once that happened,
but then everybody picked up on it going,
oh, his career's over.
Why would the people booing him for?
Come on, are you stupid?
Of course, he was being booed
because of his affiliation with Donald Trump.
But Hulk didn't mind.
That's just the way it was, you know?
But that's what really happened on top of it.
But for some reason,
every time we do an interview,
people want to say,
no, I don't, I'm sure,
but yeah, because the next night
we're in Dallas, Texas and everybody loved him.
You know, and me.
I just kept waving the flag, man.
I was like, I felt like I was with the hard foundation
against the British Bulldogs.
Bringing me back to the 80s, man.
Thank you.
Still, I was watching the trailer
for the docu-series that is about to come out
and the staple for any documentary
to show how hard you partied in the 90s.
Dennis Rodman.
Dennis Rodman was featured in the trailer.
Jimmy, how hard, how hard did you,
Hulk Hogan, Dennis Rodman,
all those guys kind of party in the 90s?
Well, I'll be honest with you.
I was a designated driver
because I don't even, I don't,
not that they did,
but I don't even drink.
I don't even do drugs.
I'm like CM Punk.
Both of us were squeaky clean on that.
But, you know, Dennis,
when he was playing with the Bulls
and we had him for the NWO down there,
the coach of the Bulls kept calling going.
Worst Dennis.
Worst Dennis, he missed practice.
He should be there, you know?
And of course, Hulk would talk to him and go,
we'll have him there.
We're having there.
And I think the day on their first game,
Dennis came back in there and practiced with him,
but they were worried he wasn't going to show up for it.
Because he loved wrestling, you know, he really did.
But it turned out great.
It all worked out with the NWO.
It sure did.
Did Hulk ever party with Andre the Giants?
In Japan.
Because you had to be in good with Andre
if you didn't.
Woo!
But you were in trouble.
I made sure on all the dressing rooms
that Andre was in with me.
The first thing I'd do as soon as I got the building.
Hey Andre, do you need anything?
No boss.
Okay, thank you.
You know, but I made sure we wanted to stay in good with Andre.
But Andre was a sweetheart.
He was great.
In terms of wrestlers, Jimmy, who was Hulk closest with?
I think Andre, he loved Andre.
He loved Randy Savage, him and Randy.
And there's a big thing out there
that him and Randy hated each other toward the end.
No, no, no, that's that's so stupid.
You know, they were going to have a big barbecue,
right before Randy, a couple of days before Randy,
you know, had the wreck, unfortunately.
But they had saw each other at one of the doctor's offices.
Hulk was arrogant, his back worked on it.
I think Randy was there because he brought his mother
or somebody in, but that's kind of a myth on that.
But he loved Roddy-Roddy Piper.
He loved Andre, of course.
And there was, you know, a lot of times we'd have big
get-togethers back in the early days of wrestling.
Oh, one of Hulk's beach houses.
And everybody came out.
He had to have the boats out and just everybody
had a great time doing that.
Jimmy, I'm, I'm new-ish to the sports talk game.
But I see a lot of similarities between WWE and sports talk
host with the ability to cut a promo or give a,
a hot take when it comes to sports.
Well, how are you, Jimmy, right now to co-host the show with me,
Taylor? I'm telling you, the guy is good, man, seriously.
He's the mouth of the South.
I mean, Jimmy, what would be your best tips for somebody
who, who maybe lacks a little confidence,
but has to be able to turn a switch?
Yes, he's talking about himself, Jimmy, yes.
You know what, but you're right about the host,
because look at Pat McAfee.
Look at Stephen A Smith.
All these guys are really uptempo over the top,
doing stuff, but people like that.
If you're the ratings are great,
or they wouldn't be on the air doing it.
But, you know what, it's just, I think,
if you're just me yourself, people always ask me, Jimmy,
why do you always stress colorful?
Because back in the early days,
when I had my group, the gentries back then,
we had a media center called Keep on Dancing.
We did all the tours with Dick Clark.
We were kind of the opening out for Chicago,
or the grassroots, or Steppenwolf, or the Beach Boys.
We did a lot of stuff with the Beach Boys back then,
with Dick Clark's promotion.
Dick Clark pulled us into a room one night,
and that's what he said.
He said, when you're on that stage,
remember one thing.
Give the people their money's worth.
If you dress like the audience,
one day you're going to wind up sitting in the audience.
So, I always remember that.
So, what I went into,
WWE, or Memphis Championship Wrestling, or WCW,
always wore the crazy, wild jackets.
You know, because I always remember what Dick Clark had told me.
Jimmy, did Hulk ever tell you about the George Foreman
grill story?
Did he ever tell you that story?
Oh, yeah, he told me that too,
but let me tell you the real story on that.
So, Hulk, I'm going to tell the real story.
I love you, but here again, before you do that, Jimmy,
I just want to tell you, he came on our show,
and he told us that his agent was called,
they had the same agent.
He called Hulk first for the grill, okay?
Hulk was in home, there were no cell phones at the time.
So, naturally he had to go to the next client.
The next client was George Foreman.
He got the grill, Hulk got a blender.
Go ahead.
That's a great story.
I like that.
I've heard that one too.
But here's the deal.
Hulk always went for the money up front.
Yes.
And a smaller percentage, because he believes sometimes,
when you'd get involved with a company,
sometimes they don't promote and whatever they have don't sell.
And all of a sudden, you fight trying to get your money out
for bigger percentage.
So, Hulk, there was a bigger percentage on the money
that it was than the grill that was put out.
So, Hulk went the front money up front
and a small percentage on the back.
That's what really happened.
Oh, wow. Does he regret it?
Did he regret it?
No, not really, because Hulk made millions of dollars
without the grill.
You know, he's never going to be the best chef
on a wrestling show.
You know, so he never did forget it.
And plus, we have made good friends with George Foreman.
He's a lot of stuff for us too.
Jimmy, would you say Hulk Hogan is the most important
wrestling figure of all time?
Well, you know what?
To me, I would say that.
But here's what I'm, to me, there's like a top five.
You know, there's Hulk, of course,
and look, John Cena, look what he did.
Look at the rock, look at Stone Cold,
look at Triple H, what he's doing now
and what he did in the ring.
Sean Michaels, there's just so many of them.
If you leave any amount, I'm the undertaker.
Look what he's done for the business.
There's just so many guys that are so important
to this business that are around the rock, of course.
And, but, but Hulk was one of the first ones there.
But if you watch the shows now,
everybody's kind of on the same level.
Because I think everybody realized,
if I put everything I've got into one star,
if he gets hurt or quits or leaves or goes to the movies
or whatever, we're in trouble, brother.
So that's why you see it like it is now.
What's the best Hogan match you've ever been involved with?
Oh, that's a good question.
You know, I still like, I love,
I was lucky enough to be part of WrestleMania one.
So I love that one.
But I still love WrestleMania three with Andre
because a quick story right before the,
we started doing promotion there said,
well, we really got to promote hard and heavy.
Why?
Well, because you won't believe this,
but guess who's going to be in town the week before?
Who? The Pope?
Then who's coming in town?
The Rolling Stones.
So, those Jimmy, what do you think?
What do you think?
And I said, well, look, I think we might out-draw the Pope,
but I'm Rolling Stones.
I don't know about that, Hookster.
But you know what, we wind up drawing 93,000 people.
So we did out-draw both of them.
And so, you know, it made Hook happy
because we were able to do that.
You know, but a lot of work went into it.
But he was kind of, I don't know, man,
maybe we shouldn't run that particular time in the month.
But Vince said, no, we're going to run, maybe.
And so we did.
And it came out great.
Jimmy Hogan wrestling was before my time,
but his entrance song, Real American,
transcended into pop culture.
What is your Mount Rushmore of WWE
or WWF entrance songs?
Oh, that's a good question.
Oh, well, I'm a little prejudiced.
Of course, I love Sean Michael, sexy boy that we wrote.
So that's one of my favorites.
And of course, going into the Hall of Fame this year,
well, tomorrow night, well, tonight really,
is the demolition.
And so, Dick who played on the demo,
we wrote the demolition, saw me in my partner,
but on it was Carmen Apapiece of Annala Fudge.
Remember, we keep me hanging on.
He was on it.
Rick Daringer sang it and played guitar on it.
Leslie West of Mountain.
Remember, Mississippi Queen, he played on it.
And so that kind of a star studded group
of rock and rollers that were on that.
So I like that too.
But I think Real American was always great.
Of course, John Cena song, ton of air play off that.
I didn't write that though, but that was great.
The Undertaker, even how simple it was,
with just that bell boom,
it just set the tone for everybody coming out
and then the Oregon music.
And I'm always like Rick Flair's, you know,
pompous circus, dance or randies, whatever it was.
But, you know, I'd like to put a couple of mine in there
with sexy boy too, but, but, but,
interest themes are so important.
You know, it's like the fans really,
when there's 10 seconds into a song,
they know who's coming out through that curtain.
Jamie, did you guys ever fight?
You were best friends.
You were as long time manager.
I'm wondering, did you guys ever have disagreements?
Not really, because I realized two things from the start,
with hope.
I never borrowed money from him,
like other people did and didn't think about it.
I never borrowed money,
and I always told him the truth when he asked me,
even though I put a little bit of sugar on it,
sometimes a lot of sugar,
because you had to kind of,
because I don't care how big somebody is,
sometimes they're very sensitive,
and hope was very sensitive sometimes about stuff.
But, but not, you know what,
we never fought, we never argued,
we never disagreed or invest a true story, really.
You know, whatever you wanted,
hey hook, you're the man, what do you think?
Let's do this route, okay?
Well, you made more money in me
and wrestling business, so I'm going with you're out here.
So, that's the way I kind of worked it out.
Jimmy, from watching the trailer,
it looks like one of the things
that they're going to talk about is how
Hogan was once this universally celebrated,
larger than life figure,
but you know, several controversies
that changed maybe how fans saw him.
From your perspective,
how should people balance those two sides of his legacy?
Well, it's hard to tell how some people really are,
because some people are very positive,
some people love the negative, anything.
You know, there's a show called Dark Side of the Ring,
they always call me, want me to do it.
And I said, look, when y'all do happy side of the ring,
I'll be more than happy to do it,
which I know they're never going to call me,
because there's never going to be happy side of the ring, you know?
No one wants happy, you know that, right?
Yes.
People always like that dirt,
people like the dirt, people like the trash,
people like all that, you know?
But, you know, sometimes you can't change people's minds,
you know, they're going to think what they want to think.
And that's just the way life's going to be.
And while waste time,
or even thinking about it or fighting against it,
could you not going to do it, you know?
Yep.
Jimmy, what do you hope people learn about Hulk Hogan
through watching this documentary?
Well, you know, I'm hoping they'll check it out.
It's four big episodes of it.
And by the way, it's going to be on April 22nd,
so y'all got to check it out.
But like I said, last night,
the first, well, one of the,
I think episode two is what we watched last night,
before we unveiled the Hulk Hogan statue.
But, you know, as I was watching it,
man, it went back and I saw so much old footage
that just wife Linda was gracious enough
to give to the company to put out there.
And it was a lot of early stuff
that we got to see ourselves on camera back then.
And how happy everything was.
And then it showed a little bit later on,
how serious everything was.
So when you start making the big money,
how much stuff gets around you,
you know, it's a lot of stress
when you start making the money, believe it or not.
And how Hulk was pulled North, South, East, West,
and how he missed being with the kids
but he had to really go to keep that lifestyle up.
So I think it's going to be very interesting.
I said that the people for Netflix did an unbelievable job.
It was about six or seven or eight months in the making.
I'll get you out of here in just a second.
Did Hulk feel properly appreciated
as he was, well, as he passed away?
Did he feel properly appreciated, Jimmy?
The only thing Hulk was upset about
that he couldn't wrestle anymore.
That's how he loved this business.
He loved the WWE.
He just loved everything about it.
And even though he has a ton of action figures
and ton of teachers and everything
and all his beach shops were doing great, you know.
And still doing great.
But that's the one thing he missed the most.
He'd say, you know, Jimmy Hart,
I just feel like I was robbed early
with these back operations and stuff.
I still like, I had more in me.
And I said, Hulk, there's not going to be
another Andre for you to fight.
There's not going to be another Roddy-Roddy Piper for you to fight, you know.
And I just said, man,
let's just do what we're doing, man.
We're in the twilight of our career.
So let's ride out and sing in a good song together, you know.
So it was all good, but he was happy.
Did you get a chance to say a proper goodbye for you?
Did you get a chance, Jimmy?
Nope.
I didn't, you know, he loved karaoke.
So every Monday night,
we'd have to go to his beach,
Martin Luther, karaoke, which I didn't like doing.
You know, but I went for Hulk, right?
And so before he got the operation,
I'm sitting next to him.
And he goes, would Jimmy?
He said, I think I'm going to go get my neck
operated on because my hands are numb
and I really can't feel him.
And I said, Hulk, every time you go to the doctor
and get an operation,
it always turns to be a disaster.
You're allergic to the medication,
that you're allergic to everything on it.
He goes, but I got to do it.
So he went and did it two days later, he called and go,
well, I'm coming back home.
I feel great.
Two days after that, he's back in the hospital.
He goes back to the hospital.
They go, what's wrong with him?
Well, we think it might be a valid in your heart.
What?
So they work on that.
He comes back home.
They said, well, we think you've got a light case
of leukemia.
What leukemia?
He comes back home again.
He goes back again.
Now you've got pneumonia.
So it was just one thing after another.
It really was.
And I never had a chance to say goodbye
because at that particular time,
they didn't want anybody at the hospital
to do anything.
But I did talk to him one night on the fall.
And at 4.30 in the morning, he called me and said,
I'm coming home tomorrow.
And I went, that is awesome.
I said, well, I still a little prayer for you every night, Hux,
or I can't wait to see you.
But as soon as he got home two days later, he was back again.
But I'm certain he knows how much you loved him, Jimmy.
I mean, no one loved him more at the time, right?
No, please, brother, please.
I'm 100%.
If he called me, I was the first one on the phone.
And we all, but you know, a lot of our little team
Hogan, we used to call it team Hogan.
We had X amount of rasters that were part of it too.
And one by one, through different things that happened
in people's lives, they kind of fell out.
But old Jimmy Hart was always there,
baby with the megaphone.
Jimmy, we are both shocked.
Me and Taylor that you are not a fan of karaoke.
I mean, I just figured you go up on a stage and you rock it, man.
I mean, I'm shocked by this.
It's the most shocking thing I've learned today, seriously.
Oh my God.
Well, we love you.
Hey, should we learn something from the day?
And don't forget April the 22nd Netflix.
It's going to be, it's going to be unbelievable.
So I hope you get a chance to see the Hogan documentary.
What was Hogan's karaoke song?
Did he ever go to song?
He always wanted me to get up saying, keep on dancing.
The song that we had a million of center up with the
gentries a year or so ago.
And I didn't like doing it because I just said,
you know, it was just very simple.
Like, keep on dancing.
Keep on doing the jerk.
You know, there's nobody doing the jerk anymore.
So, but, uh, but I'd still once in a while, I'd get up and do it.
I want to carry the last time we, he was there.
I won the karaoke belt for singing.
Keep on dancing.
I guess it was fixed, right?

We've ever seen one of the greatest people we've ever seen.

Jimmy, I should not be promoting this.
You should be promoting it on the way out.
So take it away, Jimmy Hart.
Well, first of all, we love you guys.
Y'all were awesome.
Hey, you got to check it out April 22nd.
Maybe the Hulk Hogan documentary, real American.
It's going to be unbelievable, baby.
You're unbelievable.
Thank you for doing this, Jimmy.
We love you.
Yeah, huge fan.
