Sheba - When Peace Is Threatened Again. (2 Samuel 20: 1-26)

If chapter 19 showed us the slow, hopeful work of restoration, chapter 20 shows us how easily that work can be disrupted. When we open this chapter, the kingdom has barely begun to breathe again. David has just returned to Jerusalem, but old wounds are still tender. Trust is still being built again, and into that fragile moment steps a new voice of division. 

His name is Sheba — a man with a loud voice and a dangerous influence: And he declares.  “We have no share in David!” And with that one sentence, the nation is shaken again.

 In this episode, we’ll see a new rebellion arise because of the power of this divisive voice. Sheba’s cry spreads like wildfire, and the fragile unity of Israel begins to fracture once more.

 But we will also see David respond.  — Leadership is required, and David must act quickly and wisely. And David must navigate a path for a kingdom that feels like it’s slipping through his fingers.

So, let’s explore a chapter filled with urgency, tension, and the ongoing pursuit of peace…. Welcome to the episode….
