The Toronto Blue Jays get blown out by the Minnesota Twins, losing 7-1 in the first game of this series. As per usual, Kevin Gausman did not get any run support. However, this was not his best outing as there was struggles with his command and velocity throughout the start. In this episode, we discuss all the key highlights and performances from this game, while breaking down our concerns with the Kevin Gausman’s start. We then discuss the left handed pitchers in the bullpen and their roles moving forward, as well as what the offense needs to do differently to be more productive right here on Locked On Blue Jays.

Lots to get into on today's episode, an absolute horrible effort.
I think we got to talk a little bit about what was going on with Kevin Gossman's outing,
the offense of course.
And then just the remainder, right, the last three games of this series, why this team
needs to bounce back, how they can be effective a whole lot to come.
This is not the brand of baseball I wanted this team to kick off this series with.
That was pretty pitiful.
After we just talked a lot about how things were starting to look up, good things were
starting to happen, it's this brand of baseball we're presented with.
And especially for me, going down to Minneapolis, which I will be down in Minnesota, so you
guys can come see me all be in section 107 on Saturday, 108 on Sunday.
Come say hi.
I'll probably have a couple beers.
I was looking forward to watching hopefully good baseball and I still am.
I just pray to God that it wasn't a game like yesterday because man Carter, that was, that's
pretty bad.
That's not great whatsoever.
Funny timing.
We kind of talked about it before the episode.
Is it too early to say that the Toronto Blue Jays are back and then you kind of, we've
both made each other put a definitive answer on it, which was definitely going a little
bit ahead of the ball here.
We probably got a little bit too far ahead of ourselves.
Again, three series wins are very good and I still expect them to play some very good
baseball down the stretch here in this series, but not a very good start.
Started the boss or Ed Sox series pretty much the exact same way with the five nothing
lost there.
This one 7-1 where you have a lot more mishaps, some of the defensive laws that we saw
earlier on in the season, definitely not good when you see just mental mistakes like
that.
And it's absolutely dead.
It's so much worse watching Bailey over, just strike hitters out and get soft contact
on an 83 mile hour change.
If that looked very good, the change up was phenomenal today.
Then he blows 88 by some of these fatters and it's like, this is almost like home run
derby type pitching, especially when you see other starters that are throwing 98, 99
until and see one of them on the Toronto Blue Jays.
You go to Bailey over.
You think that you should be able to hit a guy that isn't throwing the fast ball very
well.
It's only just not very competitive at bats, not a lot of great swings.
One of them has his satches just to call out one player in one at bat throughout the game
a lot of them.
We're like this though.
3-0 count the top of the fifth inning.
There's two outs.
I get you want to do something, but swings pretty much through a 3-0 fast ball just flies
out.
If you're going to swing 3-0, you got to have a very, you got to put a good swing on it.
Unfortunately, all throughout the game against Bailey over and honestly the entirety of the
twins pitching staff.
No offense.
Tough score runs.
Kevin Gauss in the comment theme again.
He's on the mound tough to get this offense to do literally anything it seems like.
Just an unfortunate start to a four game series, especially when you're going to be boots
on the ground the next couple of days.
Yeah.
To be honest, I'm not really giving Kevin Gaussman a big pass on this game either.
I think we'll get into more of it, but the stuff looked not very good.
It didn't have much control today.
But it's the offense.
I mean, in totality, this is what we are big complaint was is that it's very hit and
miss on a day to day basis realistically.
George Springer was above and beyond your best hitter.
And this is a guy that is coming off the IL.
This is his second game back at the top of the batting order, which we were concerned
about, but he did his job.
It's everybody else.
Vladimir Grotto Jr.
Get to hit today and he's clapping.
You broke your bat flared one of the outfield.
Those aren't good at bats.
Yeah, it was frustrating to watch.
You talked about the Hazus Sanchez at that absolutely sickens me to my core.
I don't know if there's something in baseball that gets me more pissed off than swinging
3-0 unless you're Aaron Judge.
Even Vladimir Grotto Jr.
I give a little bit of leeway to if it's your pitch, you take it.
Hazus Sanchez?
No.
Red light.
Throw up the fist at third base.
Red light.
No go.
No go.
It's frustrating to watch because this team prides itself on doing the little things right.
It prides itself on being smart at the plate and taking the walks when the walks are given.
It prides itself on defense, which at some points throughout this year so far, you've seen
games where good defenders have lapses and judgment.
Make bad throws, make bad decisions.
Kevin Yosmin was pretty annoyed within the first couple innings because Hazus Sanchez
probably should have caught a ball.
There are a lot of things in this ball game that were bad.
And you know, me and Dal talked about the last horrible game, Carter, but how do you just
sweep this one under the rug and keep going?
To me at some point this year, you got to stop as much as I want them just to hate, forget
about this one.
Sweep it under the rug.
It is what it is.
Why are these games happening?
And that's something that they're going to have to look at internally of, hey, why are
these lapses happening?
Why are these defensive mishaps happening?
Is it the people who are putting out on the diamond or what is it?
Because I, it's, yeah, as Blue Jays fans frustrated to watch, give me a few things to respond
to there.
I want to start off by going back to the Hazus Sanchez part of this all.
If you are batting in front of Vladimir Kro Junior and it's a 3L count, can we make this
just a golden rule where you're not allowed to swing the bat no matter who you are?
It's two outs.
It's the fifth inning.
You are down one run, but with Vladimir, how good he has been, why would you want to take
the bat out of his hands with runners on base when things have not been going well against
Bailey over?
You kind of have to get, you have to run with what you're given in a lot of these games,
especially with, I don't, you want to tip my cap to Bailey over.
I don't even think he was that good in this game.
The changeup was good, but again, the fastball, the curveball, the secondary is that he
started.
It didn't look like it was unhittable.
Whereas you watch some of the at bats and you might, you know, depending on which
I bat you're watching, you might think, oh, this guy was absolutely unhittable just
because the Toronto Blue Jays approach was absolutely horrific in this game.
Looking at Kevin Gossman specifically, he has had some philosophy fluctuations throughout
these games.
Today he sat 92-3, which on the year has kind of sat 93-8, has been a spot 93-94, 2-93-95.
We'll put it in a general range.
But we've seen him be 92 at the start of the game, kind of being upticked at 95 at times,
can reach back for a little bit more if he does need it in very specific scenarios.
You saw him reach back in advantage counts, or if it was a two-strike count, sometimes
had the ability to throw that 95-96.
But with Kevin Gossman, you said it yourself, Kevin Gossman was not at his best today.
I think the command could have been a little bit better.
The splitter didn't look like it was the most effective that it has been throughout
his starts.
So Kevin Gossman has been producing for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Now with all things considered, especially with the philosophy fluctuations that we have
seen, does any part of that concern you a little bit for what Kevin Gossman can do for
the Toronto Blue Jays?
Just in terms of his durability as well for the future.
So the velocity is, the fluctuations are always going to be Fee, right?
What's off?
Why isn't it where it should be?
But that just happens.
I mean, some guys just, you go out on a day and you don't have exactly the same stuff
you had the day before.
What concerns me is the ability to locate, especially with the OSP, Kevin Gossman is known
for using that splitter so, so effectively, but it has to be on point.
That is his pitch that wins in ball games.
So when that's off, it makes everything else very tough to play with, right?
Even if you're not using your splitter effectively and then you go and try to throw a 92-mile
an hour fastball, well, hey, guys are probably just going to sit at a 92-mile an hour fastball.
It really comes down to that pitch for me.
And if he's not having a good day with that, which today definitely was not, I mean,
just watching some of them, I was getting, or I could tell something wasn't Kevin Gossman
and his batsden.
And you brought this up, Carter, many times, start the last couple of years, we've done
the podcast.
Pictures have 10 great starts, 10, okay, starts.
And then 10 bad starts.
To me, this was a Kevin Gossman bad start.
I, some people argue that it wasn't horrendous.
This wasn't good Kevin Gossman.
This wasn't great Kevin Gossman.
This was bad Kevin Gossman.
And it all comes down to the location of the splitter and where he's being able to just
control.
That's it.
It's control.
I argue it's maybe somewhere more in the middle.
I don't think this was absolutely horrendous from Kevin Gossman.
And we already said this is more so on the offense with Gossman.
I think the main issue here was specifically with the splitter on the first pitch, whereas
Kevin Gossman throughout the game just didn't really have the control as we said.
First pitch strike percentage was 48%, but specifically with the splitter.
You throw the fastball in the zone, eight out of his 14 first pitch fastballs were in
the zone.
You throw that splitter.
You want them to get that swing over the top.
They're sitting on the fastball.
You want to be a competitive pitch.
And the issue with the splitter is especially when he was throwing it on that first pitch.
It just was not even a competitive pitch whatsoever.
It's a ball out of the hand.
Hitters aren't even offering at it.
We talk about a badge counts all the time, especially with swinging miss guys.
You use least Kevin Gossman most of the time swinging miss guy has kind of fallen off
with a little bit of the width and the chase in these last few starts.
That's kind of why I brought up the question, but especially for a guy that gets that swing
and miss, you want it to be at least start as a strike.
It didn't look like Kevin Gossman had the movement that we traditionally seen with the
splitter.
Again, some pitches throughout the outing were better than others, but in totality, I thought
Kevin Gossman, at least from a stuff perspective, definitely did not have his best stuff was
able to work through this game.
And just with the Minnesota twins with Kevin Gossman, doesn't have the greatest history with
that ball club.
David Popkins being around from 2022 to 2024 with the Minnesota twins really gave them
a very good game plan.
Seemingly, every single time they went against Kevin Gossman, really being able to lay off
that splitter just going over his ERA against the twins against some of this, like these
starts are from like 2014, 2015, not taking as much regard as to that.
But since 2022, the twins have had a relatively similar team throughout the years, but with Kevin
Gossman, a one in six record, again, not very good stuff, but a 643 ERA 82 strikeouts over
15 appearances.
So Kevin Gossman has pitched a time against the Minnesota twins, definitely hasn't gone
well a lot of the time we remember the playoff starts with Kevin Gossman, not even him
necessarily pitching that bad, but again, just never seemingly to get that run support.
Looking up and down the line up, Vladimir Groat Jr., as we said, not very good at bats.
George Bringer was the one of the better hitters in this game.
We said that probably shouldn't have him as lead off hitter at least for the first game
back.
Well, just we were wrong, obviously on that, George Bringer is available, just having
lead off at this point.
And then just throughout the lineup, I wanted to just give a shout out to really the only
other guy that offensively that you can give one swing a shout out to, and that is Dalton
Varsho called him out a little bit said he hasn't really done a lot in the last week.
We got one swing, a change up that was left higher in the zone, actually it was a fast
ball.
It's just barely over throws 88.
A change up, but gets launched into the right field stands.
Yep, one run, absolutely great, but one run is going to be real tough to win baseball
games like that.
Yeah, again, we're going to talk more about this offense because there's a few more things
I want to touch on.
It's going to be tough to talk about the bullpen.
We're going to have to do a little bit, obviously, still lots more to come, right?
There's still three games up in this series.
We're going to have a lot more to talk about, so stick around with us.
We're going to take a quick break.
We'll be right back with, and still a lot.
So maybe a little bit more complaining as well.
Today's episode brought to you by Fandall.
You guys know how much we love Fandall here at Lockdown Blue Jays.
The NBA playoffs are here, and every possession matters.
If you're looking to get even closer to the action, Fandall has a great offer to get
you started.
Right now, new customers can bet just $5 to get $150 in bonus bets if your bet wins.
That's right.
Turned five bucks into 150 in bonus bets just for getting started.
I say this all the time.
I'm not a big NBA guy, but when it comes to the playoffs, and if I got a little coin
wagered on the game, I tend to care a little bit more.
So you know what?
I got a lot of friends that like to watch ball basketball that is.
So I end up watching with them, and so how do I get into the game?
Hey, you know, I picked their brains.
What would be good for a same game, Parley?
Maybe I throw five bucks down.
Maybe that turns into 150 bucks in the bonus bets.
Why not?

Carter, we talked a little bit about the offense, and I want to touch a little bit more on
what makes this team successful compared to what doesn't.
And I think what we've seen a lot of this season so far, and when this team is winning
ball game, it's really not when one or two of your top five guys are doing well.
It's when the bottom of the lineup turns it up, and that's what makes games unreachable
for other teams in terms of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Brenna Valenzuela does get a hit today, but I mean realistically, everybody else in the
bottom six does nothing.
And that's not to take away from some of the top guys doing nothing either.
But I think it really was the difference maker last season is the past of a ton mentality
that the Toronto Blue Jays have, right?
I can take a walk here because I trust the guy behind me.
Now, a worry for me this year is, is that sustainable from last season?
Is it sustainable to trust every single guy?
And can you trust this guy or this guy on any given day?
It seems like it is a little bit of hot and cold baseball right now, isn't it?
I hate to use this excuse, but just looking at the bottom of the order and the guys that
are there right now, like David Schneider gets put in the game for your 100 Penango,
which I have my own gripe with.
I think like a very competitive bat at bat in his first half out, I'll kind of leave
this story for a little bit at the end here, but I thought he had a very good at bat.
Like, give this guy a little bit of runway, like he's you're struggling a little bit
offensively.
It has been better recently.
But for a guy that's a left-handed hitter or gets a guy that isn't throwing that hard,
I would have liked to see Penango have a few more chances in this game specifically.
But looking at the bottom of this order, Penango being a rookie on this team, don't think
that we're going to be relying on him farther down the stretch.
You have Andre Semenas who will be here, Brandon Valenzuela just as the catcher
position in totality.
You haven't really gotten a whole lot from either of these players in Brandon Valenzuela
in Tyler Hydenman, just looking at the stats.
Both these guys are not playing very good Brandon baseball.
Waiter once again plus for Brandon Valenzuela is 85, which is fine for a backup catcher.
Again, you have your main catcher go down.
One of the best in all baseball.
It's going to be hard to replicate that production.
But Tyler Hydenman has a nine, waiter once again plus, that's 91% worse than Lee Gavridge.
The only thing that this guy can do right now is bunts and the Toronto Blue Chiefs are seemingly
going away from the bunting strategy, which I'm not exactly sure why they're doing that
either.
So looking at the bottom of the lineup, Andre Semenas kind of has fallen off at least
a little bit just in the last couple of games.
I don't want to say fall enough, probably wrong way to put it, but it hasn't been as good
as it was to start.
You're probably going to have a guy like maybe a Hazoo Sanchez, maybe Ernie Clement goes
farther down the lineup, Nathan Lucas, but he comes back.
These aren't going to be guys that you're relying on throughout the entirety of the season,
but as you said, when you have Okamoto at the top of the order, you have Torch Prager
who you can't blame this game on, but Vladimir Crowe Jr., a lot of these at bats, at bats
were not very good.
You have to rely on the bigger dog.
So I'm not going to worry as much about what the bottom of the order is doing, especially
because these aren't going to be the guys down the stretch that you are relying on, but
last year you had guys like Andre Semenas and Ernie Clement at the bottom of the order.
Now you have Brandon Valenswela, it's a little bit of a difference there, but last year
you're right.
A lot of the time when the Toronto Blue Chiefs were having these big innings and starting
these rallies, it was the 7, 8, 9 hitters that were getting on base for the big dogs
out the top of the lineup.
This game we didn't really see that, but as you said, the Toronto Blue Chiefs offense
as a collective, the entire offense isn't hitting, it doesn't really matter who's trying
to get on base at which time.
Games like this do happen.
It's not like this is the first of it's kind, the only one we'll see all season.
There are games where your offense doesn't show up, and that's fine, I think it's baseball
fans we understand that.
The problem is it has to happen less than the times that they do show up, otherwise
you're not winning too many ball games, you're not going to be a successful ball club.
Jesus, I was Buck Martina's right there.
Almost Kevin Bigeo asked him that one.
Sometimes.
Yeah, so you have to be able to have more success than you don't.
It's easy as that to say, and I hate to break it down in generality terms, but that's
what it is.
You need this entire lineup to be better more consistently, and it comes down to the
consistency of this team, which so far, whether it be injury, I totally get that.
I understand that, but like I said in the past few episodes, you can't just use that
as an excuse because you have to be able to keep your head above water.
And again, a series that you should win, and to start behind the eight ball, this badly
isn't a good look.
And now you got Patrick Corbin on the Mount Carter.
If you start O and two against the twins in this series, you're at best getting a split,
which normally would get you a series loss.
The top guys got to be better.
They can't have games where Vlad, he drops the ball, Azuz Sanchez drops the ball, Okamoto
doesn't do enough for you, like you can't have three of your top five guys, not do legitimately
anything.
I'm excited there because the saw it off at that was just, it was bad, it was bad swing.
You got the saw it off, he gets it lucky, he gets it based luckily, that is part of baseball,
but that wasn't a successful at that.
It's so much worse just with Bailey Ober on the Mount and the pitching that you did have
as well.
Again, watching a guy throw 88 by you is always going to be frustrating, especially when
you see some other guys where the stuff is just no offense to Bailey Ober, but just a
lot better than what Bailey Ober did throw on that Mount.
Then you had Kevin Gawson on the Mount, debatable your ace to get Dylan C's Kevin Gawson, whoever
you want to go with, but you had the pitching advantage in that game, and unfortunately you
just didn't get the win.
It is one game, the Minnesota twins have not been playing a very good brand of baseball,
you have Simium Woods Richardson on the Mount, which we will get into, so another advantage
I'd say for the pitching matchups and another guy that in theory, you should be able to
get hits off of, but your offense is going to have to show up again, you got a score
runs, believe it or not, two win baseball games, and if the Toronto Blue Jays are only
going to score one run, they're not going to have a lot of success throughout this series.
I think against the Minnesota twins, for me, if it's a series tie, I think that's a loss
for the Toronto Blue Jays, just with the way things have been going, and with the brand
of baseball, the Minnesota twins have been playing.
One more thing I just wanted to go into before we do break down the second game of this
series is just talking about Joe Man supply and Mason Fluarty, and just their roles going
forward on the Toronto Blue Jays.
Two lefties, I think we both believe that is a beneficial to have two lefties in your
bullpen just to have the matchup, the platoon advantage, as we know, John Schneider definitely
likes to do.
Mason Fluarty, up to this point, has been not great is the way I'll put it.
I was expecting a little bit more from Mason Fluarty after this point, and on the other
side of it, we talked about Joe Man supply in the last episode.
He has been very good, again, not going to blow you away with the stuff necessarily, but
a little bit of a unique Garmango that has been giving hitters fits.
Putting you on the spot a little bit didn't prep you for this spot, but Joe Man supply
and Mason Fluarty, those are your two lefties.
One of them is going to have to pitch in higher leverage based on what you've seen this
season.
Who is your number one lefty in this bullpen?
To me, this is a ride the hot hand situation.
It really is because your top guy originally is Brennan Little, who you send to the moon
because God thanked Christ, and then you're...
I don't want to say you're stuck with, but you're left with Mason Fluarty and Matt
supply.
At this point, Carter...
Yeah, okay, so it's Matt supply right now, but in three weeks, it very well could be
Mason Fluarty again.
I think it's just using your head a little bit and understanding this guy's on a roll.
This guy's not doing well.
Who am I throwing here?
I don't think it has to be a definitive one-a lefty, one, you know, two lefty.
I think it can be a little bit of a, hey, this guy's one-a right now, but then, oh, yeah,
three weeks, he's one-b, and that's what you have to do because you only have two of
them.
You've got to use them wisely and you have to understand what the guy is the best for
which scenario, and, yeah, who's on the hot streak, I think that's the best answer I can
give you.
Yeah, so I guess long story short right now, it's probably Joe Man supply, but for me,
I'm going to add a little bit to this answer just because Joe Man supply's a lefty, I don't
want him in the game over guys like Tyler Rogers over Brennan Fisher or Louis Vuitton.
The matchups matter to a certain extent.
Joe Man supply has been good, but I'm going to trust the guys that have been in the high
leverage situations for an extended period of time, the guys that we have had this built
up confidence in.
I'm going to trust those guys in these higher leverage situations, just because the talent
over, you know, the platoon matchup or the matchup and variance that you get.
Totally.
I think we see what Tyler Rogers could do against lefties as anybody.
I mean, Tyler Rogers, how many hits has he given up that have gone out of the infield
on this point?
It feels like I could count him on one hand.
No, exactly.
And so, yeah, I'm not saying that, you know, high leverage for one of these either Mason
Fluority or Mans supply would be an eighth inning, like ideally, that's where Tyler Rogers
is, right?
And he can, yeah, like you said, face anybody because he can do just as well against lefties.
So it almost is like having a third lefty in your bullpen, but it would be your 1A, guys,
so, but he can do it to anybody.
So I, yeah, 100% agree, I think that's a great thing.
And then just one more thing I wanted to add talking about the lefty situation.
This one is not Mason Fluority's fault.
And the world happened in that eighth inning.
You have an infield fly ball.
Every time this happens, I always get a little bit nervous, especially when it doesn't
really look like someone is taking charge.
But in this situation, it did look like Vladimir Grov Jr. was calling for the ball, but
looked like he was being a little bit locks a days ago, getting to that ball does stumble
a little bit over the mound, but you have a runner on base, Mason Fluority does have
it out already.
But then you let the ball fall, Okamoto, maybe could have called them off.
And again, if a player is taking charge and calling for the ball, I think it's kind
of universal, especially as a baseball player, you get the hell out of the way.
You don't want to be right in the way of Vladimir Grov Jr.
And then of course, you add field, the fire, the ball falls, but it's Kazuma Okamoto
too.
He throws the ball into center field, not exactly what you want.
The Josh Bell hits a ball off the wall.
They get the ball in on just minutes.
Have Josh Bell caught between first and second base and on just minutes, one of the best
defenders, if not the best defender.
On the Toronto Blue Jace spikes a ball in the dirt.
It gets by Ernie Clement and another Ron Scors, about point six one.
The game is over, but it seems like this has happened so often this year, where I'm
not going to say that's the direct reason the Toronto Blue Jace have lost the game, but
in a spot where it is a big moment, and they have this mental lapse that puts the game
out of reach.
When maybe there wasn't a good chance that they could come back, but you lose, you're
sorry, you give up two more runs in a late inning situation like that.
It's almost impossible to overcome.
Yeah, there's team realistically this season, if we go back over the defensive mishaps
in late game scenarios, could potentially have two to three more wins and two to three
more wins of the difference between being above or below 500.
So yeah, it's not like they don't matter.
And yes, maybe this one slightly less because of where they were already and where the
offense are still doing nothing at that point.
I was going to say did somebody throw a blue line out there because Vladie tripped on
it.
It was after the fact it was funny to watch it at the time, it was a hat slam on the table,
but afterwards hilarious.
It looked so funny.
But then everything that happened after that, it became a comedy routine.
I thought we were watching Dom and Dumber or something and just watching or what the three
stages are it ever it is.
It was just horrific.
Yeah, it was pretty much like watching some of our slow pitch teams.
I think we've actually played better defense than the Toronto Blue Jace did in that eighth
inning.
Not exactly what you want to see, but as we said at that point, didn't really feel like
the Toronto Blue Jace were going to come back anyway.
If you want to spin zone, Toronto Blue Jace didn't really use any of their big bullpen arms
or high leverage bullpen arms, they'll have them available for the third or the second
game of the series.
But you do have Patrick Corbin on the mound.
Maybe this guy goes like eight, nine innings, it's been you know, pleasantly surprising
up to this point.
If we can get even five for them, I think that's going to be a pretty good spot for this
Toronto Blue Jace lineup.
But as we are talking, we have to go over this game.
We have to go over how important now this game is for the rest of the series and just trying
to turn the tides, turn the page and rally for hopefully what is the fourth series win
in a row for the Toronto Blue Jace.
Before we do get into that, I wanted to bring up the every day or club perfect opportunity
for you guys to check out everything we do have to offer.
There is the ad free audio.
There's the exclusive birch search shop, the discord, so many good opportunities for
you guys to check out.
Like in the description if you guys do want to find out what is the every day or club does
have to offer again series that we still have to continue to preview preview and we will
jump right into that after this short break.
Today's episode brought to you by Game Time.
You guys know how much we love Game Time here at Locked On Blue Jace because we use it
literally for every single ticket we buy.
Going down to the Minnesota Twins and Blue Jace game, guess what we got our tickets?
Game Time.
We're going to Toronto Yankees in June where do you think we're getting our tickets?
Game Time.
The LV season is back and you can feel it.
I mean, fresh starts, big expectations.
The first crack of the bat, whether it's the break or rookie or division race that goes
down to the wire, there's nothing like being in the ballpark for it.
But getting tickets, that's the problem.
You know, the cues, the surprise fees, the price is jumping in the checkout.
It's really annoying.
My biggest hat tip to Game Time ever is that they show you the price up front and you're
not adding additional fees onto the checkout.
Nothing like that.
The price you see is the price you pay.
Get the guesswork out of buying it.
It will be tickets with the Game Time.

So Carter, three more games, Blue Jace Twins, Patrick Corbin on the mound.
Simian Woods Richardson on the mound for the Friday game again.
I will be there Saturday and Sunday.
If you're down there, come say hi, come have a beer or water if you don't drink.
I do.
I'm going to.
I'm at the ballpark.
Maybe a dog as well.
You know, I'll send a picture to Carter meeting a couple dogs and having a couple beers.
I'm sure he will be enjoying one or two himself.
Yeah, maybe not the dogs part of it.
You know, it's not a Tuesday.
I usually save the dogs for Tuesday nights.
But looking at this pitching matchup, maybe a good thing that you're not watching this
one.
You got the Friday and Saturday games or sorry, the Saturday and Sunday games because
those pitching matchups are a lot better than this one in theory and Simian Woods Richardson
versus Patrick Corbin.
I would think we could say that Patrick Corbin does have the advantage there.
A little bit about Simian Woods Richardson, obviously the Buberio's trade.
You have Austin Martin.
That is playing in this series that he does come from as well.
But looking at the sanding or stats, sorry, from Simian Woods Richardson up to this point
this season, six three ERA over 30 innings, only 15 strikeouts over that time, a 1.7 whip.
The games have not been going very well for Woods Richardson, 4.1 innings pitched in this
last start for Irrondarons, five innings pitch, three Irrondarons, five innings pitch,
six Irrondarons, four innings pitch, five Irrondarons, not very good.
But the way that again, if it goes anything like last game, you might go seven innings
of score this ball.
This is a game that you need to take advantage of.
This is a picture that you should be able to hit off of because every other team that
has played him up to this point has been pretty successful offensively.
Big bounce back spot for the Toronto Blue Jays.
I'm going to ask for a score prediction for the first time this year because I think this
is a pretty big game for the Toronto Blue Jays just to get the train back on the tracks.
Putting you on the spot one more time for this episode, give me a score prediction for
the Toronto Blue Jays here.
Six three Blue Jays.
I will take six runs any single day of the week, Patrick Corbin.
Give me six innings for Patrick Corbin as well.
I don't think the offense is going to hit that well.
I really hope they do, but I'm going to have a 4-2 game for the Toronto Blue Jays.
They do bounce back.
Hopefully we are right for this one.
You go down to the twins in the first two games in the series with the pitching matchups.
Everything considered not a very good spot for the Toronto Blue Jays to be in.
You got to win this game just to put yourself better, set yourself up better for the weekend
and just the series.
Hopefully that they can extend that to a fourth consecutive series when I'm just sick of losing
the bad team as well.
You lost the Rockies earlier, which I mean, they played okay baseball.
I guess up to this point, the White Sox, not a very good series.
Can we at least beat the twins?
Give me a twin series one.
Oh, God, I hope so.
So this one, this one would hurt, especially with me being down there and all.
Carter, just before we kick out of here, I think, you know, sometimes I like to bring
things back from ballpark so that I go to.
So what I'm going to do for you is I'm going to pick you up a pack of Minnesota twins
baseball cards, so you can have those.
Oh, I'm going to be so excited to get, you know, Roy Lewis, maybe I'll get an Austin
Martin from there.
I'm going to get a Jose Boreos from when he was with Minnesota twins.
Not a lot of players that, you know, I'm going to be looking for in that pack, at least
like if it is Minnesota twins players specifically, you know, at least get me like an MLB
pack where I have a chance to pull in a Toronto Blu-Jay.
No, that's not as much fun.
Like I want you to pull like a like a gold Austin Martin or something.
I don't know if that gets made, but if so, I hope you get that one.
You know, at the Toronto Blu-Jays win, you got to buy me a Simian Woods Richardson jersey
and then I'll wear that one every single time he's on the mound because the Toronto
Blu-Jays for good luck for the Toronto Blu-Jays.
So maybe just a little bit of support for an extra Toronto Blu-Jays.
Somebody would have to put a gun to my head for me to spend $200 on a Simian Woods Richardson
jersey.
Quinn's jersey at that.
Yeah.
Hey, Toronto Blu-Jays legend.
Another Toronto Blu-Jays legend, Tyler Fitzgerald.
I don't know if we ever brought that up on the podcast, he had such a, well, he had such
a huge impact on the Toronto Blu-Jays ball club.
So yeah, very sorry to see Tyler Fitzgerald go, but the Dodgers are going to somehow find
a way to turn this guy into an absolute superstar, just in the typical way the Dodgers find
some sort of luck.
Very skilled organization as well, but again, when things go this well, you got to be a
little bit lucky.
Yeah.
Good to be lucky, lucky to be good.
That's what they say.
Absolutely.
The Toronto Blu-Jays could use a little bit of luck as well here.
I definitely would not be opposed to that.
I'm bringing it with me.
Hopefully they do well in those two games.
Thanks, everybody, for tuning in.
Every single day to the podcast, again, if you're down in many, come out, come say hi, section
107, 108.
We'll see you guys there.
I hope you guys enjoy the weekend.
Don't be idiots out there.
I wanted to bring up the everyday club one more time if she could go down into the description.
Check that out.
Click the link.
I get ad free audio.
You get the discord, which is actually a lot of fun.
And the car are going to have a blast in there, plus you get an exclusive merch shop as
well.
Check that out all out.
But yeah, besides that, Carter, last episode of the week, anything else to say to the
people?
Not too much for me.
It looks like it will be myself and most likely Skyler Peters for the Monday episodes
of Brandon will be taking a step back.
There should only be two more weeks in me working the nights and being away from the
podcast.
So unfortunately, or fortunately, whether you like or dislike me or just like to have
new and fresh perspectives on the podcast, we will still be doing this little bit of
rotation here.
So hopefully you guys have been liking what we were doing.
Hopefully you guys have liked everything that Braden, Dalin, Skyler, if we get anybody
else in the podcast has been presenting you guys, yeah, and just a little bit of conflict
with the scheduling.
But we will be back in action with the regularly scheduled programming.
Hopefully only after one week, but it's most likely going to be two.
It has been okay so far since I've been gone, trying to boot you guys putting a couple
of series since I haven't gone.
Maybe Braden having the boots on the ground is a little bit of extra luck and the way
to turn the season to the right direction.
Thank you guys for watching.
We will be back with you guys.
Please all be back with you guys on Monday.
