On today's Coffee with Rich, we will be joined by Shane Kerwin. Shane Kerwin, aka "Doc K" – is the founder and lead instructor for Personal Survival Solutions, LLC.

Shane Kerwin retired from the United States Army with 24 years of service with the last 16 of those years serving with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Ft. Campbell, Ky. A large portion of Shane's time was as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant. He has served in the roles of Operational Detachment Junior Medic, Senior Medic, and Company Medic. Additionally, he has worked at the 5th Group Sniper Committee where he was a Lead Instructor, Senior Cadre, and Non-Commission Officer-in-Charge (NCOIC). Shane was honored to be placed in charge of the re-organizing of this course from a 6 to 7-week course and updating the curriculum to meet the needs of the ever-changing environment that Special Forces Snipers work in.

Shane returned to an Operational Company and was the Company Operations Sergeant before becoming the Operations Sergeant of Operational Detachment (Alpha) 5333. During his tenure in the military, Shane has deployed 8 times in support of GWOT. His educational background spans a diverse assortment of civilian and military schooling. He holds various certifications in both realms of medicine, as well as an extensive resume of firearms and tactics courses. Additionally, he is a current member of several Law Enforcement and Military organizations.
