You're listening to The Hidden Lightness on America Out Loud Talk Radio.
I'm your host Jimmy Hinton.
Welcome to The Weekend.
We have a lot of breaking news and one hot topic story that I'm going to cover today
as we enter into The Weekend.
I think this is brilliant.
I think this is utterly, utterly brilliant.
And that is Gene Simmons.
Gene Simmons had an absolutely brilliant conversation with a reporter from TMZ and it just
I got to play you that clip and he could not have been more spot on.
I want to begin by playing this clip and then we're going to talk about this today because
man there is a lot of exciting things going on and his message couldn't be more timely.
It's so fantastic.
Listen to this exchange.
This is great.
I know right now Ben Stiller is calling out the president saying he doesn't want him to
use his movie clips for war propaganda.
I mean it sounds like a lot of people are kind of you know criticizing Trump like Hollywood
right now you know over this more thing because everybody in the world should listen
what actors and comedians say because they're so qualified basically shut the fuck up.
Do your art and shut up.
Nobody's interested in your opinions.
That includes me who I float for, who I like, who the fuck do you think you are?
People in America work hard for their living and they don't want to be lectured to by people
who live in mansions and drive roles, voices.
It's time for everybody in the entertainment interview to shut their pie hole and just
do your art.
Nobody cares what you think.
I don't.
Okay.
What will Mark Ruffalo power the fuck he pronounces his name?
Mark Ruffalo, yeah.
Well good.
Ruffalo, Buffalo.
Hello, what does Mark think about politics?
I don't care.
Yeah.
So you think celebrity should stay out of the politic talk?
Well we both agree.
Okay.
I know.
Or go to Kylie Jenner and ask him what you think so the war is so far.
I absolutely love that.
I don't care.
Whatever.
Mark Ruffalo, Buffalo, whatever his name is.
Nobody cares.
Shut your pie hole.
We need more people like him.
Just to let Hollywood know, like, you know, people are working hard.
Nobody cares what you think when you're driving your rolls of rice around and living in your
mansion.
We don't care what your opinion is.
You know, we'll talk down to us and tell us how much we're screwing up the world.
People don't want to hear that.
And Jean is absolutely 100% right.
So who knew that the lead singer from KISS would have so much wisdom?
I agree with him.
People don't care.
And just generally most people could care less what political affiliation somebody from
Hollywood has.
It doesn't matter.
It literally does not matter.
I want to contrast that a little bit with what James Carville says.
Now, James Carville, and I had, I had praised him before.
He's a strategist for the Democrats, and I talked about how he kind of had his finger on
the pulse of what's going on in America.
Well, I don't know what happened in the last few months, but my goodness is he off his
rocker.
That dude is messed up.
I just, I really want you to hear the contrast between these two.
It's so important.
It's so, so important.
On the one hand, you have Jean Simmons, who he's a rocker.
He's an entertainer.
He's actually criticized Trump in the past, but never really made to my knowledge, didn't
make like a whole lot of political statements.
He just kind of dropped a one line or something about Trump, and now I have no idea how he
feels about Trump.
I know he just received an award recently from Trump, but that doesn't mean he likes the
guy.
I just don't know.
I don't know.
It doesn't matter.
He's 100%.
Right.
Nobody cares.
It doesn't matter.
But I want to contrast the difference of attitude.
There is a radical, radical, radical difference.
All right.
Here we have Carville, James Carville, multi-millionaire.
He's doing pretty well.
I mean, the old guy ought to be on an island somewhere, just kind of kicking back and
join life and, you know, and join his retirement.
He could live very, very, very comfortably.
I mean, multi-millionaire, and man, he's about to have a brain aneurysm.
Listen to him here.
This is on the Bungino report, and Dan Bungino has a little commentary at the end.
This is classic.
Listen to James Carville just absolutely out of his, off his rocker, out of his mind.
Insane.
Good.
Because what I'm getting ready to say is what a lot of people in this country speak for
or I speak for, and I speak for a lot of people.
You hear me, you fat asshole?
This is what we believe.
You're right.
I got Trump, the Rangeman Syndrome.
I hate the mother.
And you know what?
I don't want to get rid of it.
I don't want to get better.
I want to get worse.
I want to hate him more.
I pray to God, you're having God, the rain, the righteous reign of Trump, the Rangeman
Syndrome.
Pray for me, Lord.
I'm your vessel, I'm your servant.
Pray for the people I listen to.
We want more.
We want to hate the son of a, so much that we can't see straight.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry about the, I don't know, I don't know what to tell you.
Do you see why they need the Maga Civil War now?
The Maga Civil War, listen to me, the fake Maga Civil Wars, all they have.
If they cannot cause the destruction from inside the tent, they've just given up from
outside.
The Carvill is giving up any sense of sanity.
Listen to you, the guy's foaming at the mountain like a rabid animal.
Yeah, he's absolutely right.
And he was literally foaming at the mouth.
He had drool coming out the size of his mouth and he's like, I got Trump to Rangeman
Syndrome.
Not God, I pray to God that he reigns it down on me more.
Wow.
Wow.
I mean, can you imagine, like, can you imagine riding in the car with somebody like that?
Yeah, come on, come on, grandson.
Hop in the car.
We're going to go for groceries.
I hate the, I want to hate him so bad I can't see straight.
Grandpa, can you pull over and let me out, I'm getting scared.
I mean, this is insanity.
This is what I'm talking about.
I mean, the more, the more I interact with people on both the right and the left, it's
the left.
It's the left consistently who are just absolutely out of control.
I mean, to the point where they, they literally are asking God to reign the terror of Trump
to Rangeman Syndrome on top of them and let me be your vessel, let me be your vessel.
I hate the man.
You know, like just total gibberish.
I mean, the guy needs, he needs to be locked in a padded room.
I mean, what possibly could compel you to hate somebody that badly?
I mean, what?
What in the world could cause you to hate somebody that bad, that bad, do you lose your
marbles over that person?
I just, absolutely nobody has that amount of power over me.
I just, I couldn't, I just can't wrap my mind around it.
You know, Mark Ruffalo, Buffalo, same thing, it's, the guy's a good actor.
Gene Simmons is right, shut your pie hole, go back to, go back to entertaining people.
That's why I like Jay Leno so much.
I don't have a clue.
I have no idea how Jay Leno votes, no idea.
Don't care, no idea, he's a great entertainer, brilliant entertainer.
And Jay Leno, you know, for last year, during the state's fires, people are trying to trap
him and, and get him to say, like, who's it fault for the fires and, you know, basically
asking him what his political position and, and Jay Leno was like, look, I'm here to
entertain.
I'm here to give some smiles to people to thank our first responders for, for what
they do, saving lives.
And I'm not here to talk about politics.
And I love what he said.
He went on, he clarified and he said, the second I open my mouth, I've proved that I don't
have a clue what I'm talking about.
I'm not a firefighter.
I don't know what it takes to put fires out.
I don't know who's a fault.
I don't know.
I'm just here to make people laugh.
I'm just here to make people smile, entertain people.
Gene Simmons gets it.
I put him right up there with Jay Leno.
I write exactly up there with Jay Leno.
You know, you have all these actors saying, you can't use my, you can't use my clips from
my movies.
Their musicians demanding the Trump, like threatening to sue him, he can't use their music
because he's a fascist.
Trump just, he just does his dance, you know, he does the Trump dance, you know, bouncing
his arms up and down and he doesn't care.
He's going to keep using their music.
I mean, this is wild folks.
Absolutely wild.
It's hard to take people seriously.
It's hard to take Mark Ruffalo Buffalo seriously when he's, he's an incredible Hulk.
Like, that's what he's known for.
And then all of a sudden, he's some expert on Trump's arrangement syndrome.
You know, like, can you imagine him and James Carville riding together on a road trip?
You know, never mind Carville's grandson, can you imagine Mark Ruffalo and the two of
them just like white raging in the car together, punch in the ceiling and it'd be, man,
I'd love to be a fly on the wall.
We got somebody ought to arrange that.
We ought to arrange a road trip with James Carville and Mark Ruffalo Buffalo.
You know, mount the GoPro's all over the car, get different angles.
I'd pay for that.
Heck yeah, I'd pay for that.
I'd be entertaining for about two minutes.
That is just wild.
I've never seen anything like it and that's exactly the definition of Trump's arrangement
syndrome.
When that term first started being floated around, I was like, yeah, that's kind of insulting
to people and TDS and, you know, it's catchy, a little bit funny, but I was thinking to
myself, self, that's a little bit offensive to people and so I didn't use it because
it's so subjective too, right?
Very subjective, but now I'm like, holy cow, like the urban dictionary will put a, it'll
put a screenshot of James Carville doing his rant, drooling out the side to both sides
of his mouth as the definition for Trump's arrangement syndrome, TDS.
That is the picture of it.
And so what Bungino is saying, I don't listen to be honest and to be fair, I just, I don't
listen to Bungino, I don't know, one, I just don't have the time, but two, once I start
listening to one commentator and I'll listen to people on both sides to be fair.
I don't only listen to people on one side, but I just don't have a whole lot of interest
to be honest, whatever, but I do agree with Bungino on that that the left needs this civil
war.
Yeah, it's all they talk about.
We're in the middle of a civil war and all heck is going to break loose in America and
it's all going to be at the helm of the, the, the trumpers and so you have the never
trumpers coming against the trumpers and all these fascists and, and white supremacists
or they're just so violent like you hear that all the time, even the, the left wing media.
They talk about how violent, right wing, it's so violent.
Then they throw their fake statistics about, you know, most of the violent crimes are committed
by MAGA and it's just, it's, it's, it's so crazy, it's so crazy and this is why they
also hate John Fetterman.
I mean, you want to talk about a D patron.
They can't stand, can you imagine Carville like anything that Senator Fetterman agrees
on that Trump does like, for example, the war.
Fetterman just flat out says, no, I, I think it was the right thing to do.
I don't like war.
I just, he's like, I'm not a fan of war, but given the intel, going to the briefings
given the intel that we were given, yeah, it's, it needed to be done.
And he even went a step farther.
He's like, I, I just have not, not going to lose any sleep over, over the, uh,
I don't know, Tola being obliterated.
He's like, I'm not going to lose a wink of sleep.
Whether that's making people on the left loser, they're like, wait, no, love, peace,
joy, everyone, harmony, and then like, you take a step back and you're like, wait,
you are very literally signing with terrorists, like you're, you're literally defending terrorists.
You're empathizing with terrorists.
No, we're not.
Yeah, you actually are, um, man, it's just crazy.
Gene Simmons, Gene Simmons for president.
There we go.
I think we ought to get Gene Simmons for press.
It's just so such a brilliant, brilliant mind.
And, uh, yeah, people don't want to hear people driving their, their rose
voices, tell them how morally bankrupt they are, you know, they just don't want to hear
it from all you people living in your multi-million dollar mansions.
So yeah, pretty, pretty interesting stuff.

Gene Simmons, a very smart man, I gotta play this clip again.
Absolutely, just sums up everything right about the world.
This just brought me so much joy.
So wonderful.
He's telling people, no matter what political affiliation you have, he's telling wealthy
people, entertainers, just shut up, shut up, entertain people, and basically enjoy life.
Nobody cares about your politics, nobody cares how you vote.
Nobody cares.
That really don't.
You gotta hear this clip again, brilliant.
I know right now Ben Stiller is calling out the president saying he doesn't want him
to use his movie clips for war propaganda.
I mean, it sounds like a lot of people are criticizing Trump, like Hollywood right now,
you know, over this more thing, yeah, because everybody in the world should listen
to what actors and comedians say because they're so qualified.
Basically shut the fuck up, do your art, and shut up.
Nobody's interested in European, and that includes me, who I vote for, who I like, who
the fuck do you think you are?
People in America work hard for their living, and they don't want to be lectured to by people
who live in mansions and drive Rolls Royces.
It's time for everybody in the entertainment to shut their pie hole.
And just do your art, nobody cares what you think.
I don't.
Okay.
What, what will Mark Ruffalo power the f***ing pronounces his name?
Mark Ruffalo, yeah.
Mark Ruffalo, Buffalo.
How do, what does Mark think about politics?
I don't care.
So you think celebrity should stay out of the politics top?
Well, we both agree.
Okay.
Yeah.
Or go to Kylie Jenner and ask her what you think so the war is so far.
That's just, you can't script that any better.
Just absolutely brilliant, brilliant.
So that interview took place on March 10th with TMZ.
Simmons by the way, there's a picture.
People did an article on this, and I'm going to read through this a little bit, but they
put a picture of Gene Simmons, Buffalo, Mark Buffalo, and Ben Stiller, all beside each
other.
I got to tell you, Gene Simmons looks pretty young.
He's 76 years old.
He looks pretty good.
Next to Buffalo and Ben Stiller, man, those dudes are looking rough.
I think that's part of what what hatred does to you when you're so full of hate and animosity
and you just don't know how to smile anymore.
Yeah, Ben Stiller, I still do.
I guess I said I used to.
I still do.
I love his movies.
I mean, dude's funny, very talented, extremely talented actor, but man, he's not aging
well.
He looks rough.
And then Buffalo, Buffalo, he looks rough below himself.
He's got this scale on his face, like his skin is all, he just looks rough, his color
is off.
He looks bad.
He does not look healthy.
And it's just, it's not good for your health to carry that much hatred and to be so angry
and so opinionated and you're just always lecturing people and telling you know, it's
like the, we had the term come out years ago, the term Karen, which still people are still
using.
But it's like the angry, the angry women and I apologize to anybody whose name is Karen.
I know several Karen's and I got to tell you they're the sweetest people in the world
and it's just unfortunate.
I actually don't use that term because I know a lot of Karen's who are the absolute
sweetest people in the world.
And even though it's funny, I just, I don't call people that, I don't use it as a slang
term.
That's just my personal, personal thing, you know, in my family, we all call each other
names and we joke around and everybody has a nickname, but that's just one I, I just,
I don't use it.
I just don't so whatever.
I mean, to each his own, it's a, it's a free country, I guess, but you know, we came
up with that term because there was a lady who apparently her name was Karen and I think
it originated in a park where a guy was, he was cooking out on a designated grill that
was in the park.
And she went on and on about how you can't have an open flame and just go and absolutely
crazy.
And then she calls the cops and then if I remember right, if that's the same one, and
I may be remembering the facts wrong because there are so many of these videos now.
But wasn't it, she was white and the guy was a black man and she was like threatening
to say or she did say that some black guy is threatening me like just crazy stuff.
And the guy in the video was like super cool, just very, very chill and I don't know.
So anyway, the nickname Karen got passed around for anybody who is like completely deranged
and then you started noticing, wow, like the people who are yelling and screaming and
shouting and hurling insults now kind of look alike and they don't look good.
And they're actually like, they've been, I've seen these things passed passed around
where they talk about what people on the left versus people on the right look like and
how people on the right are generally more attractive.
There's this one video and I'm not saying there's anything to this, I just, I'm just
saying this because I'm looking at Buffalo and Ben Stiller and I'm looking at their picture
right now and they just do not look healthy, they don't look good, they don't look well.
But anyway, yeah, they've done these fun things where they're like, yeah, look, we'll show
you a sampling of 50 people on the far left and then 50 people on the right and you tell
us who's who, who's on the left, who's on the right and they put these pictures beside
each other and I got to tell you, it is actually pretty convincing but I think part of that
is just it's that constant anger, you know, it's like the James Carville, I got Trump
syndrome, I don't want to get rid of it, I want it more, he's just drooling and yelling
and screaming and it's just not productive and I've seen people now where you just can't
even reason with them. Like if they even, if they even know, if they even think that you've
voted for Trump, it's like they just instantly change, they don't even have to know, they just
have to, they just have to speculate and they lose their minds and I just don't get it, I don't
understand, those are the people who we were supposed to listen to, get our moral compass from,
I don't know, so anyway, Gene Simmons, his whole thing, he's like basically shut the F up,
do your art and shut up, nobody's interested in their opinions, that includes me,
who I vote for, who I like and he's right, I don't care who, I don't care who Gene Simmons voted
for, none of my business, I don't want to know, I mean that's how much I don't care,
I don't want to know, it does not matter, at the end of the day that has nothing to do
with their acting ability, it has nothing to do with their level of talent,
you know, look at Jim Carrey,
and one of the most talented actors and he, I mean, literally started losing his mind,
he went on that whole thing against Trump and just the artwork, like doing artwork,
painting these grim pictures and I don't know, like I think he's starting to get a
sanity back, but somewhat, but I mean he just went off the rails, and he was so anti-Trump
that he just, he couldn't help himself and he just looked mentally not well,
so TD asked like people joke about it, but it really does, it impairs people,
listen to Carville, I want to be so, I want to be so angry that I don't see straight,
wow, I mean like he's asking, praying that he be a vessel of Trump to arrangement syndrome,
that God make him so angry that he can't see straight, and that's
one of the top strategists for the Democrats, they're in big trouble,
and I've been saying this for well over a year now, that I just don't see that party
recovering from whatever it is, I mean they just, they took a really dark path,
and I got to tell you, I want nothing to do with the Democratic Party, not that I do much
with the Republicans either, but I identify much less with Democrats now,
I mean when I see what they do to to John Fenderman,
I mean the whole party hates him, and then they rally around AOC, are you kidding me?
That's just not a party I'm going to vote for, sorry, now I used to vote, I used to vote
plenty Democrats, I just don't, I have less and less in common with them anymore,
that level of anger, that level of hatred, but then they're the ones staying that people
on the right are full of hate, I got to tell you, I live, I live in a something like a 95%
red county, and I've never, never felt uncomfortable around people, even people who hold
really strong political ideas, and we do have people, we have people who are very opinionated,
I mean they're like, Trump could walk on water, they just absolutely love them, and they think
he's the greatest thing, and I just don't fit in that category, but I've never seen people
be violent, I've never seen them force their opinion on other people, I've never seen them
reject people who hold a different opinion, I talked about this over Halloween,
you know we are walking around different neighborhoods in our community,
and people had their, this is back during the election season,
you know when President Trump was was elected this last time, we'd be walking around from
house to house, and there were more and more people getting pretty bold about putting our signs out,
their Kamala Harris signs, and so for the few people who did, and I do think some people jumped
ship, they jumped to the Democratic Party, and they didn't just jump like they would put their
signs out, where before it was like yeah you'd see some signs every now and then, but I mean
our town was littered with signs, and right next door you'd have people put their Trump sign,
it was like they tried to outdo each other to see who could put up the bigger sign,
and just be more in your face, and I'd see the neighbors going out like hanging out on each
other's porches and talking to each other and just chilling out, yeah there was zero, like zero
animosity, and I still believe, I still honest to goodness I believe, that most Democrats
unfortunately for them, because their their pain it is complete lunatics, I think most of them
are actually pretty reasonable people, I think most of them probably don't have much of a problem
sitting down with Republicans and being friends with them, at least the ones who I know,
you know most of them, they're a handful that are kind of off their rockers, but I think most of
this is being driven from entertainers and politicians, they're the bad apples making the whole party
look like they're insane, yeah so when I say am I identifying less and less with the Democrats,
a big part of that is because the politicians, you know they're the ones just absolutely
looking like buffoons, my own governor's one of them, and I voted for him,
and I just thought I wouldn't vote for him again, not not in a million years,
yeah it's unfortunate, just unfortunate, what's happening to the Democratic party, and the TDS,
and the the willful TDS, you know it's not like people just have it and they don't know it,
listen what Carville says, I have it and I want more of it,
I hate Trump, wow, wow you're a pleasant little fella aren't you,
and so that's why Gene Simmons is 100% right, people don't want to hear, people don't, I mean maybe
people don't want to hear my opinion, I don't know, I try to share good stories, positive stories,
but you know as far as I, as far as who I voted for, for president, it's not really anybody's business,
you know that's just I don't advertise it to anybody, literally the only person I've ever told
to my knowledge is my own wife, and that's just because when when she got home from voting,
we didn't talk about it before we voted, you know we didn't we never ask each other who are you voting for,
but sometimes after it should be like so how'd you vote, just out of curiosity,
and then we both say who we voted for and we move on we never bring it up again,
we don't, I mean we do not talk politics, my wife not, now some of my kids will bring some things
up stuff that they hear at school, and you know just things that are interesting, now I have a
daughter who's in youth and government, and she's, that's her first year, and so she asked me
questions, but like just informational, so yeah it doesn't matter, Simmons is right, nobody cares,
nobody cares how you vote, just go on, live your life, move on, all right we're coming up on a
break here, all of our shows do go to podcasts the next day after the broadcast is heard on talk
radio, you can hear them on Spotify, Stitcher, Pandora, I Heart Podcast, Apple Podcast, many more,
be sure to subscribe, break the show, share it, and when we come back we'll talk more about
just being a positive example, and mind and norm business, and if we all just do that I think
this planet would be a pretty happy place, we'll be right back.

he had a TMZ interview and they were asking him about celebrities like Mark Ruffalo and Ben
Stiller. Ben Stiller, I guess, has been demanding that Trump not use clips of his stuff for movies or
whatever and using it for war propaganda. So the lady was asking Gene Simmons what he thought about
that. He was like, yeah, I think these people should shut up, shut their pie hole. He's like,
nobody wants, nobody cares about their political opinions. And he's right, I agree with him. He's
like, just shut your pie hole and go entertain people. Just do your art. And he said, nobody cares
including me. Nobody cares what I think about the war and politics and things like that.
Yeah, these people are entertainers and they want to have this big platform, this big political
platform, and then lecture people about how to live their lives. And he said, nobody wants you
in your multi-million dollar mansion driving your rolls, Royce, telling people how to live their lives.
And he's right, we don't. I can speak as an average, very average, ordinary, hardworking American.
I don't care what celebrities have to say about politics. I just don't.
So yeah, he's right. And I want to prove Gene Simmons' point.
You know, like he's talking about how people are just hardworking Americans.
And they just, they, they want to go on about life and live their lives and not worry about
what other people think. And ironically, ironically, you can tell who the people are coming from
the left. Listen to the comment. I want to read some of the comments. That's his, be less the
celebrity opinion. So he should walk the walk and shut up about it. Here's another one.
Translation. I got an award. Leave my guy alone. Another one. Gene Simmons is his two faces,
his painted face persona. No one is interested in your opinion, Gene. What are my political
party these people belong to? I'm just, just, just guessing, just wondering.
Here's another one. Gene Simmons should take his own advice. Using other artists to work without
permission is not political. Nor is pedophilia, robbing America blind while cutting food,
healthcare, etc., promoting racism, religion, homophobia, xenophobia, or violence against Americans
and immigrants. These issues of right versus wrong, these are issues of right versus wrong,
and basic human decency. It's just having a hard time guessing what political party that person
belongs to. So crazy, crazy, crazy stuff. But Gene Simmons, I actually agree with him. I think
that most Americans just don't care. There's always that small handful. And then, you know,
you have the keyboard warriors and they want to come out and they just want to raise a stink and
be angry. But it goes back to Carville, James Carville. And he's not alone. I mean, like him saying
that he wants to be mad. He wants to rage. He's not alone. There are a lot of people who feel that way.
They just, they can't smile. They can't just enjoy life. And my question is,
what if they could? What if, what if people actually smiled?
Like, can you imagine saying, I want to be so angry. I want to be so mad and full of hate
that I can't see straight. Can you imagine, like those words actually came out of James Carville's
slubbery mouth. I want to hate so much that I can't see straight. Wow. You're a pleasant little fella
there. So what do you do with that? I mean, when those are the kinds of people that you're encountering,
and then they want to argue that nobody on the right wants to talk to them, give them the time
of day. Well, gee, I can't put my finger on it. I can't figure out why. You know, I just can't quite
seem to put my finger on why you can't reason with people on the right. Maybe it's because you're
spitting all over them and and cussing them out and talking about how much you hate them.
As my point is, if more of us took Gene Simmons approach and just said at the end of the day,
it doesn't matter whatever who cares. Who cares how you voted and that includes all of us.
Who cares how we vote? Just be a neighbor to your neighbor. If you're an entertainer,
just entertain people. If you're a Christian, just be a Christian.
If you're a mechanic, be a mechanic. If you're in the NBA, just play basketball.
If you're in the MOB, just play baseball, just entertain people. It's really not that complicated.
You know, this shouldn't be that difficult, but I think people want so badly to be validated
and to be heard and they want their opinion to matter that they lose all control.
And when that happens, we've ceased to be the United States of America.
But my plea is not that we all tone it down, that we all come together because honestly,
I think most of us do. Most of us are unified. And that's the hidden lightness in all this.
You know, there's this false pretense that that MAGA is about to start a civil war that
Donald Trump is starting World War III with what's happening in Iran.
And these narratives just take root and people take them and run with them.
But the reality is virtually most of Americans are pretty peaceful calm people.
And that's why I share these stories constantly all the time.
You know, kindness prevails. And we're not going to let hate win.
And all the false narratives and people claiming that MAGA is
dangerous and they're violent and they're destroying America. I just, I reject that premise.
I reject it because there's no evidence that says that that's true.
And then combined with all the stories, all the positive stories, look at the GoFundMe's.
I mean, it's just wild. I'd like five or six other stories queued up.
And I figured, oh, I probably ought to back off off of the GoFundMe's because
people might get tired of hearing it all the time, but just they're all over the place.
People helping people and raising tens and if not hundreds of thousands of dollars for people
who are in need. I mean, that's the America that we're living in. That's the America that I know.
That's the America that I see. And if everybody just went back to entertaining and, you know,
being unified and not talking about how much they hate the other side,
maybe the world would be a lot brighter place. And that's where I completely agree
with Gene Simmons. And who knew that Gene Simmons would be one of the leading voices of reason,
but he is. Yeah, a lot of my buddy, Jay Leno, but Jay Leno, I'm surprised he wasn't canceled for that.
Because typically that's what happens like the other powerful celebrities,
they cancel other celebrities and there's there are people who talk about it.
Rob Schneider's one, he talks about it. He said, you can't even hint that you'll agree with anything
that Donald Trump does or you'll get blacklisted in Hollywood. They will absolutely blacklist you.
There have been other entertainers who've said the same thing.
Look at what happened to Gina Carano. You remember her from the Mandalorian?
She was in a year's long dispute with Walt Disney company after she was fired from the Mandalorian
in 2021. She sued them for wrongful termination and discrimination in 2024.
Then in August of last year, both Disney and Carano confirmed that they had settled the lawsuit
for an undisclosed amount of money. She was fired in 2021 after getting backlash over a controversial
social media post. She sent a message that compared how conservatives were being treated during
the COVID-19 pandemic to how Jewish people were treated by the Nazis during the Holocaust.
Now, do I think that was appropriate? No. I have a pretty strong opinion on that that when you start
acting like you're persecuted when you're not, there's a difference between people losing their
minds, even what Carvill is doing. He's not persecuting people. He's a lunatic.
But he's not. I would never say, oh, he's these persecuting conservatives.
And the Holocaust wasn't, I mean, that wasn't even persecution. That was far worse.
I mean, that was flat-out terrorism. I'm still to compare anybody
to either the victims or the perpetrators of the Holocaust is just wrong. It's just wrong.
And that's why I bark about that all the time. And that goes for both sides. I don't care
if you're conservative or liberal. You can't compare people to the Holocaust. You can't
say that Trump is Hitler. You can't compare Christians or conservatives to victims of the
Holocaust. It's not the same. It's really not the same. So yeah, I radically disagree with her,
but should she have been fired? Probably not.
So anyway, if everybody just kept their opinions to themselves on both sides of the aisle,
Gina should have kept her opinion to herself. Nobody cares. Nobody cares what she thinks.
Now, nobody cares what Mark Ruffalo buffalo thinks.
Nobody cares what Ben Stiller thinks. Nobody cares what Jim Carrey thinks.
Or anybody else. Go on and on and on. Nobody cares.
So if people just keep their opinions to themselves and go on and live their lives and
entertain people, I would love to see a world where people just rolled up their sleeves
and helped their neighbors. And again, I'll say it probably a hundred times.
That's why I love Jay Leno so much. He did exactly that. He showed the world. He demonstrated
to the world how to just roll your sleeves up and make people laugh and entertain people and
have a good time and how to bring smiles to people in a time of need and encouragement.
It's really that simple. Gene Simmons, it's really that simple. Just be a decent person and
entertain people. Move on. Live life. Love your neighbor. Life goes on.
You know, it's all right if we have different opinions from each other. That's really not the
end of the world. Even on the war. I mean, I understand people have strong opinions about the war.
I get it. And that's okay. It's okay to have strong opinions about that.
But at the end of the day, if we're going to lecture people and lose friendships, blow up
friendships over that. That's what's the point? You know, for what? How does that unify us?
How does that accomplish anything productive? And the answer is it doesn't.
So yeah, I'm hopeful. I really am. I remain. I always remain hopeful. I'm an optimist. I have one
of my church members. He's like, you're such an optimist. I'm like, yeah, I am.
And it's not that I only look for the good in the world because I don't.
But even when things are really bad, I look for the hope.
I look for positive ways to move forward.
You know, life is hard. Life is tough.
And if we're just going to point fingers at each other and be enemies,
it's not going to make it any easier. I can assure you of that.
So the best option in my mind is for us to all come together and be one, be unified, be brothers
and sisters. Go back to enjoying entertainers and let them do their thing.
If people shared less about their political affiliation and just
entertained and did what they do, I think the world would be such a happier place.
Be very carefree. Think about the 80s, man. The 80s, my one son is right. He was born in the wrong
era. The wrong decade. The 80s were awesome, man.
And just people, people are so carefree. As a kid, I remember being so carefree.
And I was like kids are being traumatized and drug out to drag shows and all this weird stuff.
Told that they have to have a sex change and all this bizarre stuff.
Like just like kids be kids.
That my friends is the hidden lightness. There's so much hope in America, so much hope.
