Hello... Philadelphia!
I'm Bruce Buffer!
E-e-ee!
It's time!
I'm...
For.
The Anthony...
Corgano!
HOOOO!
Live from the Xfinity studio. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Happy, happy Thursday
to all across the Delaware Valley. This is the Anthony Gargano show presented by the Bet
Park Sports Book online. You can see the app and our good friends from Xfinity. Well, yesterday,
it started the heat up. We have the the tampering period next week. The new year begins next week.
The NFL calendar year begins on March 11th of next week. So already some heat happening.
Most is to home. Mike Garofolo from the NFL Network. Mike, he'll be on the Marrow. He reported the
Eagles are looking for a Quinn Williams type of trade. Remember the Cowboys.
We remember what Quinn Williams with the Jets, why not getting a one and a two
straddle the years. So it looks like the Eagles are looking for multiple picks,
high picks for AJ Brown, which makes sense, right? Quinn Williams went, uh, you got from the Cowboys,
he went up getting a one and two and Mazzie Smith, uh, who can't play, who's just kind of the throw in.
So I think the Eagles have already kind of set the market that this is what we're looking for
for AJ Brown. If you come knocking and how he's brilliant, right? Like how he knows how to play
this game. You could play it in his sleep. You see it anytime they're all the GMs are around
and how his name comes up. They all get a little quiet. They all go, ah, you know, I don't know
about dealing with how he. So look, how we, I'm sure let it be known to Mike Garofolo that like,
this is kind of where it's at. Like this is what we're looking for for if we're going to move
off from AJ Brown, well, this is it. This is the hall that we need. And we saw a big hall yesterday
from McDuffy. Like, wow, it was funny. With a chief trade McDuffy to the Rams. So right away,
I text bags. And you know, my man's not happy, like, you know, lose in a great player. Like McDuffy is
kind of like it's about the long term deal. The Rams are getting a, this is talking about the
balance of power in the NFC. It shifted greatly to the Rams when they get McDuffy because
what was their one weakness? It was secondary. They have a really good front seven. And now you
add McDuffy to the secondary. They're going to be dangerous. Like scary. Looking at the power
rankings, adding McDuffy to that team automatically, they're going to be the team to beat in the NFC
next year. I have that kind of talent added to that secondary, which wasn't problem last year.
Like we saw Smith and Jigbaugh and in the end, when in those two Titans out West, go head to head,
but it was the Rams secondary that folded. Now they got a studge. Where did chief do it?
Chiefs, man, they, they lost. Sneed. They lost. Now McDuffy, big time defensive place. I,
my poor smacks. They think he can develop corners into anybody into, into studs. And he's great at
it. But man, no DC wants to lose that kind of talent out of the secondary. So you got the Rams
getting McDuffy. The Eagles are going to be looking to move AJ, lower behold, no coincidence.
Stefan Diggs will be released by the Patriots. That was reported. And of course, the AJ and the
wingland thing is just front and center. And that's going to be the big thing. Everybody looks
at next year, like it's next week, when the new year starts, fascinating stuff going on in the
any NFL. And we haven't even begun legal tampering. This is, this is amazing, right? So yesterday,
yesterday, I was in hog heaven, all right, mean heaven. I went over to NFL films and I spent
six hours with ball the yesterday looking at receivers, right? I got some good stuff, man. Oh,
I got some great, great stuff. I like, there's some good receivers that they can, they can get.
So we're, we're just all like football, football at NFL films and watch the college game,
watch it. We were watching the, I wanted to see the Mendoza in the championship game that run he
had for the touchdown. And it was just awesome. I was, I was texting my man Joe Buck. I sent him
the play. I go, dude, what are you? What's Joe Buck? Because he's a big Indiana contributor,
right? Like, and loves it. Went there big thing. I said, what do you think? Go back to your
memory bank when you see this? What, what, what was Joe Buck doing? Said, I was screaming like a
little girl football, football, baby. I know it's smart. I don't care. I'm freaking love it.
Good morning, VG. Huh, say, oh, huh, huh, man. You smell like, I don't know what, man. It's
like a living head today. You and Baldi creeps up in that room together. It's good or bad.
Oh, it's, it's okay. It's not great. It's not great.
Oh, my God. I was wondering why you're so giddy this morning. Yeah. Baldi. Yeah.
Little slumber party, Baldi and Gargano, up late pillow fight watching wide receivers.
Yeah. He's been six. I was like, I want to take a look at Chris Bell from Louisville.
And so the best is like, when you have that tape, right? Like, it's just so all
there for you to see whatever play, every play you type into the player, the, you get the,
the highlight package. And you can do the whole season highlights or you can do the,
the games. I, so can you, can you do Chris Bell only third downplays? Can you like do it like that?
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Very interesting. So, but what, what, here's what I like to do.
So I like to see one game early, two games late at all. And I, and I, and I only want to see
competition. So it's like, who you're playing? No, it's funny. Like, because I was watching
McIleman from USC. And I mean, the kids, the kids, the son, but I wanted to see him against press
coverage, right? And Notre Dame plays press coverage, which you're going to see in the NFL.
And he didn't really like pop against pray even beat press. He didn't beat press. So I was like,
you know, three games, three games for sample size. You feel good about the three games.
Yeah. Because here's the thing. I, I'm going to go into, I'm going to, I'm going to look at
mid-October through the playoffs against the best competition. I mean, because it's called
football, right? So when you're playing these other schools and you're having these big days,
I mean, what, what can you learn from facing a cornerback who's got no hips, who's playing off,
like, yeah, you should go dominate. How detailed can you get? Can you watch him, like,
just blocking plays? Can you put it just Chris Bell blocking? How about like on the sideline to
see what's the meaners? No, no, is it possible or no? I don't know. I didn't ask for sidelines.
I just want to see play and move. So what happens is, like, I'm a loser, right? I don't want to be,
like, this whole exercise is, like, I want to, I'm going to want to be, you know,
facing all these guys, right? Like, so I go, I, I watch all these games and because I, it's one
of my favorite things. I love college football, right? So I watch these games and I make notes and
I have one notebook for the season and I go back into it and I put a little bit of a asterix
and maybe a couple sentences on what I like of a player, right? Like, I watch this game and then
I do this every year. Every college game you watch, you're taking notes. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I mean,
I'm like, like, sitting there like the player pops and I see something I like, I just write it down
because what it does is I'd like to watch games because when you watch these big games,
you get a way more feel for a player, right? So again, there's a lot of mismatches through the
course of the years and when you, and you're not going to learn anything about a player when you
have all those mismatches, yeah, right? So I like to look at it and say, all right, and I'll make my
notes and then I put together a list of guys and I went through my notes. I put together a list
of guys that I want to see. And I want to see certain situations because that'll tell me a lot
about, you know, and, you know, we have, I had it, I have all the combined stats when they ran,
if they ran, if they didn't run, right? Shuttle times, all this stuff. And so, but like, to me,
it's all about what I see in a game. Yeah. Like to me, it's like that to me. I know what they
run is a big deal. But like, I want to see them beat press man. I want to see what you do. Yeah.
Can you run away? Like, first, I love this kick, Chris Bell, right from Louisville. He reminds me of
AJ Brown. All right. Okay. He's not AJ Brown, but he reminds, he's big, all right. Strong kid.
Very strong, strong hands. I really like him. Like, I love this kid. What he also does is run
away from Dbacks. So twice, I saw him run away from Miami Dbacks because Louisville played Miami.
And he ran away twice from Miami Dbacks. Now that means something like with the ball. Like,
yeah, he had won. He scored on and won. He got tied like, but he ran away. Like, if you're,
if you're that big, I'll get his measurables, but you're, if you're that big and you're running
away from a Miami defensive back, that's something. Yeah. That's something. Man, you just live in
your best like yesterday. You know, man, I'm man. No wonder that one five questions came up
today. You just didn't have it. Yeah. I do. I love it. The best I was thinking of him because
ball. He's like, I get there. I got there around 12 o'clock. I get to the show. I left
when I write down FF films. And he's like, uh, because, uh, he wants something. And I go,
now I'm good. And he's like, all right, I'm going to capture. I'll be back. All right. Sit tight.
So, you know, I'm like, making no, I'm playing around all the toys and you know,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Try on this March. Yeah. Right. No, I didn't do that.
Diversity jacket is cool. I have to say. So he comes up and he's got three slabs of, of
state. All the same state. Right. I go, we got he goes, it's my, yeah, it's my meat. I go,
I go, what do you mean? He said, I get the chef. I bring the meat in. And I get the chef to
cook up the meat. Yeah. He brings his meat to work. Right. And then the chef cooks up to me.
All right. So many of those what he likes, man. He's not trusted. I mean,
he's sitting there with, what a piece of filet. The job. No one on it.
All right. What do you want to see? Chris Bell. All right. Chris Bell.
And he's got the meat. And he's got the meat on one hand. He's typing.
Ah, classic. And I'm just pounding because he's got, they're the good, I like their coffee
machine. All right. You're like a detective working late nights with the coffee,
trying to bust the crime. I got to find him to run more coffee. Yeah. Oh, dude.
Maybe some Chinese out of a container. Did you go because Valdes always talking about,
like, he buys a jacket there. Do they? Do they have a store that you can go and buy stuff at?
No. No. I don't think he got, I don't, I don't know where he got it. He said there. He said,
they had a sale. He said they had a ratchet. Maybe once a year, they come in with stuff.
I don't know, but I think like you got to like to get in that building. You have to cure.
There was too security changed since we used to go all the time. From last year, but now
you got, you know, ESPN, but it's like a whole big thing going on, right? Yeah.
Because they bought it in a film that looks like hanging out there sometime.
Right. Yeah. Right. All kinds of people there. So you have a, you have to walk for the metal
detector to get into the next, in the lot, to get into the lobby. So you have, you know,
a lot of security. Yeah. That ball, man. Absolutely classic. Absolutely.
We really got to get you on a low level, a low dose gummy in there and video and then record you
hanging out with Baldi on a gummy. Your head would explode. Yeah. I can't do the,
you see that? You see that? You see that? First of all, Spain, Baldi, see that?
No, I mean, we're just like analyzing it. Like we're not, I'm freaking out. Like, you know,
six hours of watching tape by the end of it. My eyeballs were, you know, but I love it. It's
one thing that I love that I know I could be good at. Like in another world, like another
lifetime. And I know like if I could tell my 18 year old self, I would have been like, hey,
go volunteer for the football program. And what are you like doing? But you're like watching
video like this or you're like writing? Well, it's, you know, that's my two loves.
A little pick one. If you could do it all over again. I don't know. I can't pick one.
They're my two, it's my two favorite things. Sophie's choice.
I'm writing. Right. I mean, it's close.
Writing probably. Although, but I could, I could easily spend like a life just watching you
just spend six hours for free. Wait, wait, wait, I text, I text my wife and I go, she got to
think you're out of your mind completely, right? Yeah. Because she's like, what are you doing?
Yeah, right. So I sent her, I sent her this tape of me and Baldy, right?
What's the tape, right? And she responded with, with, with that emoji, describe that emoji, whatever.
It's like big, crazy, like, I don't know what that means. Like, like confused, scared,
gave me a little boost. So she goes, this must be what men feel when women dissect fashion.
Yeah, it's probably pretty darn close.
All right. I have the daily five for you today. So much right. I worked the last
in the chat. There needs to be a raffle or charity auction for a day where you and Baldy
over in NFL. You know what? That's a great idea. Yeah. I would love to share that with people,
like, you know, he's so great. Like he's, I love that too. Right. So he's just a key,
you know, he's just fond and, and it's, and it really is just, it's full. And I imagine the
software just makes it so easy to pull it. Yeah. A big TV, a little coffee, all big TV, the glow.
Yeah. Right. And you're just, you know, hey, run that back. Let me see the end zone view.
Yeah. Right. Like, because, you know, look at the different angles. You know, it's, yeah.
It's, it's everything when it comes to that stuff. So you have all that. Yeah.
Fight me over next time, maybe. All right. Yeah. It might get through security. Yeah. No,
you would, you would actually, I think you would dig it. I think anybody who's the sports fan,
like, you're a sports fan, Eric's a sports fan, anybody's a sports fan would, would appreciate it,
because it's, it is fun. It shows like, this is why coaches can work 18 hour days, just get sucked
into the film stuff. You, Joe, Joe's so right, so right. Like, and I remember that, that was Andy's
happy place. Like, right. He didn't mind spending six hours. Like, you know,
Nibblin, coffee, whatever, whatever you like, but you're, you're just engrossed in it.
Mm-hmm. You know, you're just saying, do you only think better probably is being on the field
during practice? Like, that's fun too. Yeah. Right. I can relate. Like, you know, in a recording studio,
there's no clocks, no windows. And you'd be there, you're like, holy crap, we've been here 14 hours
working on this song. Well, it's funny. One of my questions was question two,
bucket activity with the best. All right. Mm-hmm. So this is your bucket activity. You could,
you know, jam with a band. You can cook with a Michelin chef. Right. Yeah. Like, you could do
whatever you want. Yeah. Like, you could, like, so what would you do? What would be your short,
like, what band would they, I'm going to assume it would be music. Yeah. I've done the music thing.
I want to be in a writing room with either the South Park guys or Sarah Night Live. Go
through Sarah Night Live for a week of that turnaround would be fascinating to me as a writer.
So I think I'd lean now. I always want to be in a great writer's room. Oh, dude, really?
pressure of like, oh, we got, we got four days to put together some skits and then maybe on
Friday, some news breaks and you got to put together a new skit or update it. Yeah. That's
the joke that you would like to do like a Sarah Night Live. We're South Park. Yeah. It's something
like, I like the pressure of how we got quick turnaround time to make something pertinent and fun.
You know what? That's, that makes sense because you and I always talk about the writing at the writing,
the writing, the process, right? Yeah. And I'd like to write by myself. Yes. I know because you're
paying the ass of trying to write something with. I just like, I like to write like that. I wrote
my friend Vinnie. Like, we have a good, you know, we've been doing it for years called stories
and stuff. But like, even when we would do it, I would sit by myself and actually craft it
and write it. Like, I'm in my head. I find that more difficult. I'm doing one through that now,
but yeah, the little herb with a group full of people and put together a project. You know,
it's funny. Like, I can't do, first of all, I can't do herb. Like, I can't, I can't be,
like, I could have a couple of drinks, but I don't even like to do that. I truthfully like coffee.
Like, yeah, I could be like, it's like a little bit of an upper. I can't be going. I can't be,
like, spacey. I need to be lost in the 1960s where people on dope or all, they just sit like,
cows, it can't function. Like, well, no, no, it's tailored now. You can be very productive. No,
but you get my point. Like, I don't want to be Seth Rogen can't function without it when he writes.
So you could be highly confident. Yeah. Listen, I'm sure there's a million strains. Yeah. Yeah.
Like, I get it. In fact, I found this one. My wife got it for me. And it was like this lemon
haste. Oh, yeah. That locked you in. Sure. And it was good. Like, yeah. But I don't need,
like, I just give me a couple of like nine espresso and I'm good. Yeah. And I can lock in.
I'm a loner, Doddy. And yeah, like, like, I'd like to just sit even this just show that I'm working
this college football show that I'm doing with Ron Shelton. He writes and sends me I write and send
the head. Yeah. I mean, you guys jammed together like musicians. And then we, and then we'll get on
the phone. We'll talk it through. Yeah. But never do you impulse to jam together and just do it
to collectively. No, I don't say that if here's mine, here's you. Listen, that guy's established,
right? That guy build door of all these big things. So I'm just not, you know, like, I just like
two o'clock in the morning on a kitchen table by myself. Yeah. And in my head, like, you know what,
I'm trying to do. I'm trying to work on it in a club because I'm always envy. You just,
I just want to jam with like I envy musicians who can just jam together. So I want to do like a
night at a pub where we just jam as writers and create a short story as collectively as a group,
like almost like an improv jam. I can see that. Like, that would be fun. I wouldn't want to do that
every day. Like, oh, yeah, no, no, that's not what I like to do to do that once. Yeah. You know,
see how it goes. Like, I would do that. Like, like, you know, that'd be kind of fun.
All right. We got lots to do. Speaking of writing. We have the editor today is,
we'll give you the rest of the daily five. Come up a little bit later in the show.
D five, Ben, our social media guys. Like, hey, you got the D five questions. I was like, D five.
I like D five. I'm out on D five. You know, like D five has to tell you five, man.
Okay. Five. Oh, we did. It's like D three's bad with the qualities get lower, lower.
Oh, I do. I think five. So if you compare it to that, yeah, you know, I got you. That's
first thing you came to your head. Yeah. I got you. Uh, so past going to join us coming up shortly
to go through the stories of the week. Uh, EJ Smith is going to join us. And we got to talk a lot
of eagles, right? A lot of football, man. Uh, a lot of news is already started a little bit later in
the show. Uh, I want to go through the, uh, world clan, the world baseball classics about to
begin. I'm very excited for that. Yeah. All right. Uh, we're to go through the rosters.
Also, congratulations, Colombo. You got your bike back, dude. It's a wild story. Yeah.
Later on, I'll tell you that that could be a hero. Like that's a great episode of something hot
dude. It was wild. All right. So V's, he got his bike stolen. All right.
Because somebody left the alley gate open and he was able to retrieve it. Took me three days,
three days, three days. You're like, you should be a pack. And was like, I knew you were,
she's like, when you get this and you stuck in your crawl, there's nothing going to stop you
until you got it. That's fantastic. All right. That's absolutely fantastic.
We'll get to that coming up. But first, uh, a word from our friends.
Let's talk about the Ben Park sports book online. You can see no app. The, uh,
always another way to win on that app world baseball classic. You can have some fun with that.
Of course, hoops and hockey, sixers win last night against the pathetic Utah Jazz,
who don't even try to win. It, I mean, it's shameful. What the NBA is sometimes,
it's absolutely shameful. But you're going to some fun with it. Maybe you could
profit off of it, right? Like there's always other with when it comes to try lost the third quarter.
I know. I wish we started this early on the Ben Park's app, which is bet the other team for
the third quarter. We'd all be rolling in it right now. All right. All be rolling it.
Let's check it out. And, uh, new customers got through a thousand dollars casino bonus back.

Imagine that. Restrictions apply. All right, welcome back time now to go to the Editor's desk.
X3, X3. We're all about it. This just in ladies and gentlemen and all the ships that see,
it's time for headlines from the editor's desk with Pat McClune.
My favorite time of the week, I get to visit my good friend, the editor. Pat McClune,
great Philadelphia. Good morning, Anthony. Good morning, TJ. Anthony, it makes me happy
to know that you were like a kid in the candy store. That's your kid in the candy store experience.
I love it. Yeah, that you would love it. Like, you know, this is driving through football
tape, man. It's the bus. There you go. Absolutely. VG's has to do something with like being
in a recording studio for some gigantic band that he's a fan of, I would think.
Yeah, I mean, it'd be fun, I think. Yeah, like I see you back in a day with VH.
If I get time travel, yeah, David Lee Rolth in the studio.
We don't know. Just leave it in. It sounds great.
Yes. What would you, what would, uh, with yours be?
Well, I want to stay. Let me take a guess at it. It's you on
pick any coach, coach K, you, whoever it is, John Wooden, you on that, on that staff
as an assistant. I would love that. I would absolutely love that. I would also love to have a
couple of my local jackass friends from Habertown in a kind of a collaborative room writing
like a comedy thing for a thing that I would like to with real fun. Yeah, let's do it.
That I would like. Yes. Yeah. But I really had a chance to be the kid in the candy store and I've
told you about this before was years ago when I would go up once a year to the commissioners
meeting for the APS CD Associated Press Sports Editors, you would go up there, be like 15
sports editors around the country and the first day you would start with David Stern and you'd
have time in the NBA offices, then you go to NASCAR and all this. Well, anyway, the one year
Saturday, it goes back to Tagliabo. On Saturday, we go back and it's Tagliabo and it's, you know,
at the garden and it's the day of the drift. Wow. And you know me and the drift and we go walking
in and I never asked for any access or anything, but whoever the PR guy was at the time,
we're walking in the meat. Tagliabo said he'd give us time that morning. And we're walking in and
we walk by all the old helmet phones and stuff like that. And we got 10 seats out here if you
want to watch the draft. And I was like a kid McCambie storm, but it was my anniversary.
And I'm chasing it coming back. I've told you and I'm like, uh, God, now if I knew it was going
to play out like that, she would have been, oh, no, no, no, no, you know, she certainly would have
been good about it. But I thought, uh, I would have been at Kid McCambie storm watching them run
up with the envelope and the picks hand and that that would have been good. That would have been cool.
Opportunity lost, but that's cool. And it'll, you know, it pays off for you, Anthony, you'll
the better, you'll the better feel for the draft because of it, you know. Yeah, I do it every year
and I am it's because of that. But if we're going to talk draft, I watch Coles football. So
the other, the next step is to review all the tape this way, you know, you can, you can be,
you can have the real conversation, right? You're going to have free films on or Baldi. At
least, you know, you can talk intelligently. Right. And you're in a place that's built for that.
You're up where you went NFL films. Is that where you did it? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, where's that
Mount Laurel? Yes. Okay. Yeah. I can imagine it's like space age stuff over there. And
Baldi's probably got something on his hand that he's flicking like, you know, he meant that thing
like nobody's business. Yes. They're with the clicker. We just go back. Fourth, you know,
and give me an end zone view and zone view. Yes. Oh, that's off. That's tremendous. That's a good
thing. I'll put a smile on your face and you have one right now. That's yeah. Yeah.
So let's get to it. The headline of the week, my brother.
Well, we're fishing a little bit think a lot going on and a lot going on in the next couple
of weeks, which would be great. So it's a little fishing this week, but I've got Eagles NFL in general,
so flyers college basketball in the future. Wow. All right. Um, let's go flyers. Okay.
Our headline on the flyers is late skate to playoffs. And there it is. And that's that guy
right there. Danny Breyer is the man of the hour as I bring up two questions to you guys.
Can the flyers pull this off in 22 games? And we keep looking at the draft at all, but today tomorrow
is the trade deadline. Yeah. What's in Danny's head? What do you think? So it's funny. I had on
Frank Saravoli. He used to work for you. A good daily news man. Yes. And who's now the
Adam Schefter of the NHL for PSN Canada. And he said it's going to be a quiet, probably a quiet
deadline. Uh, Bristol line in would be the only one that probably the flyers will move,
which makes sense. Because if you're the flyers, you still want to, you want to sell any kind of
asset, right? And the only way you're buying is if you've got a guy that you like that you think
can grow with you. Right. I did see a little of that. I was really glad you talked to Frank. And
how about him pouring cold water on any big dreams we have of free agency? I know. Oh, man. Yes.
Guys, at some point, they got to go all in. And you really hope that there's a couple of big
names there, you know? I know. And this isn't it. Yeah. Yeah. And now I think you're going to have to
wait until the following summer. And I mean, who knows? Like teams are resigning their stars.
That seems to be the trend. Right. And that's asking a lot. And I guess the next big hope is that
Peter Marton hasn't disappointed at all at Michigan State. And maybe, maybe he's the big deal.
Who knows? Yeah. I'm really excited for him. Like I'm pumped up. I was, it was funny. I was telling
Charlie who does such a great job covering the flyers for us. I go, Tom, like you got to go out
and and you got to go shit with Porter Marton. Like I want to hold big 2000 word piece about
what he's up to and this incredible season he's had. Absolutely. Flyers fans would love that.
That's the kind of stuff that, you know, you're holding that hope and you've got guys like that.
You just need a guy or two to anchor everything around. Yes. You have a lot of pieces,
but they need some anchors. They need some star quality people. And if it's not in free agency,
it might take a little bit longer. As you'd say, there's a lot of the fans. But back to the thing,
VG can they pull this off? They're six bags. I don't think just because there's like three teams
ahead of them, two teams ahead of them. And I was going to ask you, do you want them to pull it off?
You're just, we're talking about how the agency's drying up, but you don't want, you don't want
your small percentage to get a better draft pick. No, no, absolutely not. I want, I want,
I think the fans deserve a playoff round. I think the players need a taste of the elevation of
playoff hockey. I totally understand what you're saying, VG. But for me, get into playoffs and
begin it for 12 years straight. That's what I want to say. I'm torn. I'm in between. There's a
problem. I see both sides. I think you're too far out to tank. Like you're too far out to root for
lottery because you have to get to the 11th worst record to even be part of the lottery. Right.
So to pass point at this point, let's go win. Let's go try to make the playoffs.
I'm just trying to see how far out they are that one, two, three, four, I think 70. So 64 points
is 11th. They're 67. They're actually closer to the 11th worst than they are in the playoffs.
But there's a lot of teams. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I would want them, man. I want my falls to have
the Sixers and Flyers both in the playoffs. Let's, let's get a return to normalcy. Now,
I do feel a little sense of disappointment over this flyer season, but they are ahead of where they
were. After 60 last year, they were 26, 26 and eight. And now they're 28, 21 and 11. So
they're like seven games ahead of where they were this time last year, you know.
That goes to the goalie. Yes. That goes to the Lodar, man. He's so good. Yeah. He's played well.
That was a great, great, incredible sign. I guess, let me see, because we have a live comment
here from Mark Shark. He's saying nobody's asking them to tank, but just trade the dues you should
trade, like every other smart organization. I grew that. I think, I mean, listen, like I wouldn't
keep the line in to make the playoffs. Like I, if I could get an asset, I, I would, you know,
I don't think anybody else is going to, I don't think like nobody's going to trade for
Victoria. No, you might be able to get something while you probably, you will get something for
tip it. TK might get you something. I think that's where people's heads are. Yeah. I don't, I don't
think that's, I don't think it's crazy. All right. Let's go college hoop. Okay. College hoops,
our headline is The Parals of Pearl. And I realized the way that I found this guys,
do I love this drama, Pat? Pardon me? I think I know where you're going. And so I love
the drama. Yes. And I'm going to break out the dreaded S word for the second time in our
existence. Bruce Pearl is a strapper of the highest order. Okay. Stop for the week.
Do I agree with you? And there's a great juxtaposition here between how I found it,
because he was reacting to Joe Lennarty's and Joe Lennarty is the opposite. Joe Lennarty
is a Philadelphia treasure. Joe Lennarty is somebody we should be really proud of.
I mean, yes. Imagine being better at something than everyone else in the world.
And that's what Joe Lennarty is. It's a guy that was grinding on his blue ribbon book. And he just
got so good at this thing. Now he is Mr. Bracketology. But anyway,
Mr. Strapper, Pearl, he goes on and here's the other thing that's a shame about it. He's in a
position now where he's like the main guy on TNT for the tournament replacing Jay Wright.
And another wonderful guy who was fabulous on TV. I mean, Jay, Jay was so good on television,
so good. He's like a veteran and he's thinking he'd be doing it 20 years right here. And now we
got to have to deal with. That's a good point. I want to miss him this March, man. Oh, me too.
Me too. You know, my friend Jeff Sherry, you guys met. He's a villain over player and him and Jay
at the same time. And he had it. And Jay said about that that he prepared so much. You know,
that's why he was so good. And you know, Jay's done. Jay's had his fill of preparing for everything.
But anyway, to the point of why I bring this up. And the first time I brought up the Strapper word,
it had to do with the SEC again. But this time, this guy goes on there and impunes the Red Hawks.
And we can't have that. No. You can't impune my Emmy of Ohio, which is now 30 and oh, 30 and oh.
And Pearl says that Auburn that if my Emmy of Ohio gets tripped up in one game that Auburn
will be more deserving than my Emmy of Ohio. Now, I'm all for a guy who's back in his kid,
his kids, the coach. Right. And they've had a couple of wins, but you know, let's be, you know,
let's tell people what it is. My son's coach in there. He said this at a time that Auburn had lost
seven of eight. They won the other day to go 16 and 14. Lanardi is 10 SEC teams in. Yes.
Not one of them. And he's making an argument that they need an 11th in over the Red Hawks.
And I love this entire Miami of Ohio story. I told you, look, they're not, they're not going in
and round one and beaten Kentucky. That's not happening. But I'll be rooting like hell for them.
The heat. He's saying they would and they would be less in the 810. Yeah.
Behind the pole. Totally out of control. You got to think like hell coming out against them.
And I got the coach. He's like, oh, Bruce is a great guy, but I'm not calling Bruce and asking
for opinions on my team. I'll respect them. Yeah. I love the 8D went back. And you know,
there was a way to do it. I mean, Bruce Pearl could have said, hey, I don't know if they went
head to head against my son and then he tells people you're transparent and all that.
But I mean, come on. Where's team? And he just, he takes it from, it just, it's a strapper move
right from the jump. Yes. That's what it needed. It needed to be called out. Meanwhile,
this Miami of Ohio, I don't care whether you're in the Chessmont league. 30, you know, is 30,
you know? Exactly. Yes. You know? And I love the way they're doing it. It's crazy. They've won
seven games by three points or less. They've won two games and over time, where both teams went over
100. After Bruce Pearl made the point, they beat Toledo by two. It's unbelievable. They just,
you know, again, they're not winning any tournament or anything, but 30 now is 30 now.
And every time they need one, before Toledo, they beat Central Michigan by two, you know,
they're just winning these games. And it's, you know, I love a cool story and underdog story,
a Philly type story. And that's the Miami Red Hawk. So Bruce Pearl, he's going to have to pick
another thing to dive in on. That's a strapper move, boys. Strapper. Oh, he is a great
strapper. That's he's in the crap on that story. That's right. He's exactly right. That's so good.
Such a great use to the word stone strapper. Here's this quote. Am I rooting for my son to make
the tournament? Of course, I am. Did I help my son get the job? Nepotism? Of course I did.
Yes. Yes. Yes. And you know, listen, he was crafty about that too. He resigned at a certain point
where they had no alternative other than to give it to his son. Not against the sun, but he used
to be a good coach. But, you know, you know, now would I do that for for Anthony or Massimo?
Yes, I would. Yes. Right. I do something for my kids too. But I know you would. Next time, you know,
what he, but he's got a line. I completely, I like it. Completely agree. That's a good way to put it.
Maybe he's got Bell Jay's ahead in the broadcast booth. All right. Let's go. I'm, I'm very
intrigued by this one future. Okay. The future. I don't know boys. I'm all about embracing the
future, but it is there's some nuttiness to it. All right. Julia with a fine search there or
comes up with a man named Hunter Armstrong. Nice stumbled on this this week.
Guys Hunter Armstrong is an accomplished swimmer. He's won two gold medals for the United States of
America. And why are we talking about Hunter Armstrong? We're talking about Hunter Armstrong
because Hunter has announced that he's going to appear and compete in the enhanced games.
Now, do you guys know what the enhanced games are? I didn't. I'm afraid to ask. I don't, I don't know.
Exactly. The enhanced games will be held in May in Vegas. And these are games for athletes
who want to use PEDs. I'm kind of into that. Let's see how it goes. Let's see some records broken.
Let's see. PEDs are okay. Do whatever you want. Come on in. Be enhanced games. You know. What's next?
The cocaine games? What is going on here? You know. I mean, I tried to. Let's go. You know,
Bogota. Yes. Bogota stadium. Yes. Brought to you by. Don't even get me started with that.
But can you believe that? Well, they say they make it clear. The people running the enhanced games,
you don't have to be on performance in hand. Drugs. But it's okay if you are. And Armstrong's
not even saying he's going to be on the juice. But it's okay if he is. I mean,
there's like, we love these sports. It's just everything kind of keeps going to. There's no rules.
You know, we're going to have a 33-year-old quarterback playing on his 13th team. Everything's
insane. It's an interesting thing though. Like, if you're him, like, A, I want to see how good
these athletes are when they're all juiced up, but B, like, I would like to see if he can beat them,
not juiced if he can beat juiced up people. I'm pretty intrigued by this. I got a question. Is
Johann Rojas in those games? You know, and that's a great point. And my thing on that is a
couple of people pointed out to me. I'm sure you guys did too. You got to get a better,
you got to go to a better PED store if you're if you're Max Kepler or Johann Rojas. Yeah, I don't
know who's beating these pills. Really? Come on guys. You don't hear nonsense about this. You know,
you need a wire and saucer about going from 20 to 56. What's Rojas done? He's going to go from 188 to
197. What is he doing? He's sick. No runs. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He'll be all swollen.
Then he'll be a center field. And now he's down and it kind of exacerbates the
Harrison Bader issue with the Phillies, you know, they got nothing now except behind Crawford.
And they got nothing but marsh out there. You know, you know, hey, check this out while you're
talking about PED since the start of the last season baseball. There's been five suspensions for
PED pro far twice. Rojas Kepler and Alvarado three Phillies and pro far. They're the only
suspensions. Oh my god. The at least the enhanced division. I love it. I love it. All right, sit tight.
We just got to take one quick Tio and we'll get back to the headlines one and two. My sense is
they are football related. Yes, they are. I love it. Word for my friends. Hey, you're

All right, back live with the editor. So we have a big wrap party today for BG, right? So
BG's first season of unblocked concludes today. So we're having a little party. We're getting a little,
so we got food, right? And we got skinny Joe's bringing two steaks and
celebrities is bringing pizza. Now, you've been to celebrities, right? Like it's a fill-off
these things. Absolutely. Yep. Yep. One of Rich Ashburn's finest, finest hours,
celebrities. Right. Go with the quote. What's the quote? Well, the quote was that
celebrities used to often deliver pizza to the booth. And at some point, the Phillies or
the station went to Harry and Whitey and said, look guys, we have a pizza deal. You can't be on
the air raven about celebrities. We like it too, but we have a pizza deal with say pizza hunter
somebody. You know, we got to take care of our own pizza thing. So they said no more mention of
you know, celebrities or something like that. And so Whitey had something about a birthday came up
and he said, oh, and that's a birthday of the twins playing in pepperoni, which was his
signal, the celebrities they get the pizza over it. That's the fact that's around between
between celebrities and skinny Joeys, you know, you're doing straight fill-y right there.
Yeah. Oh, Pat, do you like their specialty pie? The pizzazz?
It's not never had it. Never in blind. Never in bowling. No. No, it's not pizzazz.
pizzazz. Ah, you're like, no, it's crazy. It's a fancy high level pizza. It's a pizzazz.
It's a pizza pizzazz. It's a pizzazz. You feel like a filling guy with the pizzazz. It's a pizzazz.
It's a pizzazz. It's like a pizza pizzazz. I order it then and they're all the time. No one's
ever given me a hard time. Celebrities feel I've never once corrected me. I'll take two pizzazz.
One pizzazz here. I get two pizzazzes, please. No one's his pizzazz, Pat. They must feel bad for
you. That's why. Come on. They go. Hey, you're trying to elevate you guys a little bit.
Hey, here comes that cool guy that says pizzazz. Yeah, he's a fancy boy. This guy's a smart. He
must be from France. Pizzazz. Yes. Yes, he's guys an aristocrat. Oh, God. All right.
headline number two. Well, we got NFL and Eagles. Let's go in the NFL. Okay. And that's
basically coming off of last week and the combine. And our headline is landing the lane. And I
went into the archives. There is the Eagles drafting one lane Johnson in 2013. Wow. Look at him.
Look how lean and mean he is. At that point, they said he was 6 6 303.
And I went back and I looked at that a little bit because really, that's the Eagles biggest
challenge is landing a lane. And I was bummed out to here. God bless him. He calls it like he sees
it. But Baldi doesn't, Baldi doesn't love this group. Baldi doesn't love it. There's no lane
Johnson's there. Let's wait and when would there be, you know, right? So that's that's a concern.
But just to go back to where it happened again to bring people back 2013 chip Kelly's the coach
and chip would have screwed this up. He would have screwed this up. On February 7th of 2013,
he brought in Jeff Stowell and so Stowell had his say. So here's the way the draft goes.
Lane's the fourth player picked. Lane's the third tackle. He's the third tackle picked.
Wow. The first pick in the drift is a chippewa. The first pick in the drift is from central Michigan,
Eric Fisher. Yeah. Yeah. To the cheek steak, scoop player went about eight years or so. Yeah.
Here's but a two two pro bowl six seven three oh six solid player. The second pick and I won't
even pronounce his name right was with the jaguars. And it was Luke jokal or jaco. Okay. Luke jokal.
Yeah. Okay. And uh, Texas A&M. Yeah. Another six six three oh seven. Yeah.
But he, he, you know, he only lasted five or six years. Yeah. Jokal. Yeah.
People loved him that year. I'm not for that. Yeah. Yeah. And so you know chip would have done this.
If chip had the third pick, they're not picking Lane Johnson. He's picking his zone guy.
Dion Jordan. Yes. Yes. What a bust that guy was. Yeah. We were thrilled. He was one of the
defensive. He was an edge guy like a 240, 235, 240 pound edge guy. Yes. In fact, if you remember,
he became on the market at some point and like we, we had all extrapolated about him. You're
right on. He was definitely going there. Yes. Three time wound up getting suspended for a year,
three time, uh, he would have been better in the enhanced NFL, three time, uh, ED guys.
And uh, you know, it's so now Lane kind of falls in their lap. The, you know, you remember
the stories that quarterback turned tight end, turned tackle and uh, uh, it's definitely a whole
famer. Yeah. Yeah. The best. He's the best. I mean, you know, anchor, great dude, just
he should be first, first one out. Yeah. Yeah. So a couple of things out of the combine kind of
saddened me. One is if there's not necessarily a great lane guy. Along the lines of my allotted that
uh, alignment in Arizona state and treats me just because he is, uh, he's from Africa and he
hasn't played much football. And you know, who knows? Maybe he's just a great hard-nosed
athlete who could go somewhere. But the other thing that bummed me out is that, uh, our guy
Sidney performed him right at it. Right out. He's the, you know, he's going to wind up. I just,
I'll be cringing that he, I, I don't need him going to the, you know, uh, cowboys or anybody like
that, you know, so I'll be cringing about where that not only the vehicles aren't going to get him,
but I'll be cringing about where that goes. And we'll have plenty of time to talk about the
draft, but I'm so with you. I love Kenyana Sidney so much. He's the perfect answer to what they
need. And it sucks, man. He's not going to make it pay. He's not going to make it there.
No, I'm probably going to go to the new power. Number one, the Rams, the drafts got the Rams
taking him. Well, no more because they use that pick to trade four. Oh, they got the 13th from Atlanta.
I traded it. They traded it back in. Right. They're the other one. Yeah. Oh my god. Yeah. Yeah. And
like again, another great boldy thing. He's showing Sidney and he's showing these creative
blocking things where they do these run plays where they pull Sidney and he crushes people.
Oh, that was him. You know, he's got great hands. Oh, my god. He's such a
much better. I know. I Saturdays, I do a Fox show with, uh, with, uh, friend of my shorts,
right? He used to play for the Giants. And he, uh, he's an organ guy. And Jeff was talking about,
he's been talking about Sidney. Right. I'm like, dude, I love this kid. All, all Kyle's football
year, like all you always hear. And he's like, dude, he's a great kid. Like when do you meet him?
I'm like, oh, my god. Yeah. Yeah. Just watching Penn State this year, he just popped off the
screen to me early in the season. I get the close eye on him. So that's, that's, that's a sin.
That's a sin. But we'll see which brings us to the Eagles. And our headline there is flight moves
because things are about to take flight. Anthony, we are less than 100 hours away from free agency.
Okay. Now listen, we all know that free agency starts on Wednesday at four o'clock.
But we're talking about the enhanced free agency, which is the, what, the legal tampering,
which is when it starts. And that is noon on Monday. And so that stuff, you know,
Safequan was signed on Monday for the, he was, he would, they got the Safequan thing went down
on March 11th and free agency didn't start to March 13th. So, you know, things are going to pop.
And so I bring the question and you'll get better answers from a better man right behind me and
EJ Smith. But did he's moves that you saw yesterday, portend anything with Brown? Do you see the
Eagles signing Jalen Phillips before Monday? It's a great question, man. Let's go AJ first,
because Mike Garafolo yesterday reports that the Eagles won a million Williams type of pick,
right? So Mike is a close friend of ours as we know. And I'm pretty sure that's a how we
salvo to the marketplace. This is what we're looking for. Now, on the same day, Stefan Diggs is,
is going to release. And all that Patriot stuff, I know that AJ Brown loves the Patriots.
We already know about variable. I mean, I don't see how that doesn't happen.
Yeah, I mean, it's all there. You could even make the argument that the McDuffy thing has
some reverberations. You unload the big thing of McDuffy with the chiefs. And could the chiefs
want AJ Brown? The bottom line there is the more potential buyers, the better off the Eagles would be.
Yeah. So it does, you know, it does look like the New England thing could happen. But I don't see
them getting a one in a three. I think you get a one and run. But I, I'm with you. If I get a one,
I'm good. Like, yeah, when I like a sweetener, player, another pick next year, whatever,
right? The four becomes the two, whatever it is. But I'm with you. I get a one. I mean,
it's clear it doesn't want to be here. So, you know, and what about Phillips this time last year,
the Eagles locked up Zach Bond? So here's my question to you. I like him a lot. Right? I like
the kid. I think the kid is great. Great kid. Great spirit. Like he's, he's, I like him.
But man, 25 to 27 million. Yeah. That's a lot of money. And look, I know, you know, he was healthy
last year. It was great. Came in mid in like a meeting impact. But he kind of quieted it a little
bit as just actually went on. I agree with that. And those 25s, 27s, 30s are going to become 32s,
34s and 40s when the Eagles have to sign somebody's guys. Can you imagine the number of Quinyon
Mitchell's going to get? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like, and here's the thing, like, I can't pull a
chiefs and not sign my best quarter in corner. Like, I know Spags was upset yesterday. Like,
that was a big blow to him. He loved McDuffie. You know, all those, all those man's heroes and
all those pressures. You can hold up at the back end. Right. Yes.
I don't know, man. It's a lot of money. Now, it's going to be interesting because you got
a Hendrix in out there. And it's crossed me going to get dealt. Right. So you have two other big
time ends. And where do those guys go? Do the cowboys make a run at one of those guys? Do the
bears? Like, they're just talked that the bears are going to go on in on crossby. Yeah.
The bears had to set back with the guy retiring on them, the center of Dalman the other day.
So, you know, they're, you know, they're going to need to make a little bit of a splash. Yeah.
But the point is, the point is is that, you know, I went and reached out for the future and some
other things. No need from now because we got all kinds of football stuff about the pop. We got
the world baseball classic. We got March madness. The five categories are going to write themselves
for me for the next few weeks. Yeah, man. Thank God. I, I, I, that, that last month was depressing.
Right. Yes. And it started with the, like, the championship weekend I enjoyed. I thought the
championship weekend was fun. Good games. Obviously, we missed the Eagles. We were still looking
at our wounds. Yeah. But the Super Bowl was the drag. And yeah, the week before, off before
the Super Bowl, and to the Super Bowl, nothing happened. And because nothing's happening,
the speculation in all it just goes crazy. Yeah. A lot of different fronts. Yes. Yeah. Like,
how many Brown stories you want to hear? The Sixers? Like that. This is your situation. I know
you're not in your five, but I mean, how do you even write? They have gotten blown out. What did
you say? How many times they lost by more than 40 at home? Three times in the loop. Three times
of one season at home, it's a record never happened. Three times they have been beaten by 40 or more
points at home. Yes. And you know, and I heard for you, you say this, I think by John Clark.
You know, how many times the team has lost by 40 or more at home in NBA history three times?
Never, never. Yeah.
I mean, come on. I like it. Yeah. It's been like, I get it. You know,
brain, Joe, obviously, but still like, you can't, like, I worry about Maxi.
Yes. I do too. I do too. Yeah. Yeah. He's just a quick NBA. We're on the NBA.
The worst 10 teams in the NBA right now are on a combined 44 game losing streak.
That lost four or lost one lost two lost four combined four game problems. Anthony,
do me a favor and try to find out at what weight in the enhanced games would EJ have played at
the fact them. Could you imagine him, EJ in the enhanced games at the fact them? He would have
been a terror. I love it. I love it. Yeah. Thanks, my brother. Okay, guys. I love you, buddy.

On the extended mobile call in line. Oh, man. E.J. Smith.
What's going on, guys? How are we doing today? You're going to go do the enhanced games?
Yeah, I'm not familiar with the enhanced games. I got to be honest here. I didn't know either.
I educated us on them. And it's competitions that allow PEDs.
Well, I mean, for my own personal health, I probably wouldn't do them, but I try to make
sure I get to the gym and move some weight around every once in a while. But all natural over here,
all natural. Yeah. Get the shot everyone. So I was not bad.
Yeah. All right. We got a lot to unpack. It's on the unpack. So let's start with A.J. Brown,
okay? Because obviously Mike Arafalo, Friends of the Show reports yesterday that the Eagles
are looking for a Quinnian Williams type of trade. Yeah. Yeah. So it's a one with a sweetener.
I added to it. My read on that is similar. I heard that you heard you with Pat earlier.
You know, my read on that similar to yours where I think we're at the stage here where the Eagles
asking price is probably a little bit beyond what's realistic and the offers that they're getting
are a little bit below what I think is also realistic. Now I think this probably does. If it does
get done and I still think it does get done, I think it settles around a first shot pick.
You know, I think that there's enough. There are enough teams now who have a pick in the later
stages of the first round. And I think that is probably A.J. Brown's value. It's a little bit more
than what the what the Seahawks got for DK Metcalf last off season. And I think again, you look at
the Patriots, you look at the bills. I would even have the Chiefs in there now that they got number 29
for McDuffie there. You know, there's enough teams where I think there will be a bidding war.
And I think that one of those teams should use their first round pick to get A.J. Brown.
So I think I'm with you here because New England, Buffalo, Kansas City. I mean, you know,
let's throw Baltimore in there. Yeah. They all need receivers. Like
you get A.J. Brown's ilk. Like you got he's still got he's still to me has three to four,
you know, very good years left. Yeah. No, I completely agree. I think he is just a tick above
DK Metcalf. And all these teams are contenders. All these teams have urgency to win in the short term.
So I think A.J. would make sense for them. You know, when I saw that Stefan Diggs got cut by the
Patriots, obviously there's other stuff going on with Stefan Diggs, the injury and the off the field
stuff. But you know, just further, you know, solidifies the fact that they they could use a player
like A.J. Brown for that offense. So that's the reason I think it's going to get done. You know,
I've said on the show a lot that the Eagles clearly have a price that if they if a team meets it,
they they would move on from A.J. Brown. I know some fans don't want to hear that,
but it's clear that that's where we're out in the situation. And the reason I think it gets
done is because I think that there there's going to be enough teams that somebody's going to pay
that price. And here's the truth in the matter. You know, he's not loved. He, he, you know,
he doesn't want to be here. That's, I mean, that's the problem. I mean, the real, the problem isn't
through the Eagles want him. Of course, they want me. Everybody does me think everybody knows this,
though. I mean, he won the Super Bowl. We're like, all right, it's cool if he's winning. He wins
a Super Bowl a couple of days afterwards. He's like, eh, wasn't great. Didn't float my boat.
Still not that happy comes back to next year. He's a little more demonstrative and vocal about us
this place. It's only going to get worse when he comes back again. I don't know. I think everybody
knows he can't come back. My only, the only thing I would push back on a little bit is I,
I've been in the locker room as much as I have. I don't think that many guys are affected by,
you know, how he is on a day-to-day basis if he is frustrated. But his play, I think,
is where you saw it last year. You know, I think that you could see the ripple effects and how
the situation unfolded in the way that he played and really the way that he regressed with the
latter half of the season. Well, I agree with you. And no one would he mean, I love AJ. So, you know,
but I do think it's if he's unhappy, but you don't want a guy that really wants out.
Like you never want someone that doesn't want to be with you.
Yeah, I mean, he goes to have a track record of moving on from those guys. You know,
Zach Hertz, Carson Wentz, Hassan Reddick are all examples of players who were unhappy with the,
you know, being with the Eagles, and the Eagles found good value in a trade for them.
Now, I think Hassan Reddick and Carson are good examples of they only made those moves,
because they got the compensation and back in a trade that they needed to justify it.
So, that's why I always couch it with they have to get, you know, the pick, you know, in return.
But yeah, I do. I think that, you know, for whatever reason, you know, I think they're,
it's pretty clear that the Eagles have made an effort to move on from guys that don't want to be
with the team. I think it makes sense, you know, I think like there's a certain fragility to a
contending team, you know, a team that is trying to achieve what the Eagles are trying to achieve.
So, you need guys to be, you know, moving in the same direction. And that's not to say that AJ,
if he came back would be, you know, trying to sabotage anything.
Yeah, I don't believe that.
But again, I think that you can just, he's a type of player where, you know, what, understandably so,
what, you know, how he's, how he's feeling about the situation does affect the way that he plays.
I think most guys, you could say that about.
Yeah. Yeah. Now, and it was a weird day, man.
Dude, the Rams getting McDuffee. Yeah. I mean, they're like, they now become number one in the
power rankings by far because if they had one weakness, it was the secondary. And now you're putting
McDuffee back there. Oh, God. Yeah. No, I, I don't, I didn't like that trade from
a chief's perspective. I understand you're, you're trying to reload on picks.
And the defensive corner, he did not either.
Yeah. Exactly. I mean, McDuffee's a great player, man. You know, but I also thought like,
you know, tangentially, now listen, some people will, will accurately like, you know,
criticize me, but give me some flag here for making everything about AJ Brown, right?
But, you know, if McDuffee can go for a one, I think that AJ goes for a one. I think that
their value should be close enough. You know, so, but no, it definitely makes it, it strengthens
the Rams even more. And that is kind of, yeah, they're setting the bar early in the off season,
which is why, you know, we'll talk about Phillips here. I do think that how he's going to make
some splashy moves this off season. I think that that the Phillips extension is one of the easier
levers to pull just because of the fact that he's already been around. They know him. So I think
we, I think we actually disagree on the Phillips thing. I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm, I mean,
my thought is, your ass can be personally, like Pat asked me personally. And I like Phillips
a ton. He's just, that's a lot of money, man. Yeah. No, I mean, it is. I, I understand that's
a big investment for a guy. Look, you need an ex guy. So he's the easiest route to fill in that
need. So, like, I would, I don't disagree with how you assess it. Yeah, I think you look at it
like, yeah, and give them that contract. That's all. No, I hear you. I think if you do it,
it's, there has to be an off ramp after the second season. You know, it's probably two years
fully guaranteed. And then some, something that you can do to get out of the deal from there. So,
I think you probably frontloaded in terms of guarantees. And, you know, the thing is, the way I look
at it is you're either going to commit to Nolan Smith or Jalen Phillips. And I would rather
commit to Jalen Phillips at this point. So, you know, whether that means you're trading
Nolan this off season, whether that means you're not picking up man, I think your option.
You want to trade though? I don't want to trade though. I don't think you're going to trade in
but you, you probably could get some value back for him. But either way, they're going to have to
rebuild that edge group. You know, they only have two guys under contract going into the next
season. So, for me, I'd rather build it around Phillips and Jalex hunt. You know, I think that if
you, if you told me those are your two guys at the top, now you can go into free agency in the
drafts and fill out the rotation. So I don't know. It might be a move point though, because Phillips
might want to hit the market and see what he can get. And if he gets close to that 27 million
number that we're here in, like, I don't think the Eagles are playing and I don't think they're
fishing in those waters. So, you know, the decision might be made for the Eagles, but I do think
they want to get a deal done with Phillips. I think it makes sense.
I mean, I don't mind. Like, like, like, he got lucky with the injuries. He's got injury history
and he just, I mean, it's your point. I mean, 2023 eight games, 2024 four games. Yeah. I mean,
I mean, I mean, and again, the sack numbers. Yeah, he's sack production is not great,
but he's around the quarterback a lot. And I think Vic values that. I think Vic is always kind of
poo poo. I agree. Yeah, he's got numbers. I mean, I think like, I don't want to, I don't want to
I don't want to poo poo on because I like him, right? Like, I really do. I like. Yeah. What,
man, I mean, I listen, I get Nolan Smith plays violent and there is injury concern with
who comes with that. No, I like Nolan Smith. I do. I mean, I think you need a rotation
with him, Gaelic's high and Phillips can work. Well, like, I can't trade Nolan Smith, man.
Yeah, the thing with Nolan is all the reasons you like him are all are also the reasons you probably
don't want to extend him. You know, he plays hard. He plays 110 miles an hour. So I, so let me ask you
this because I've been going through this experiment. You know, we're doing a quackatology on the show
at two o'clock. We're going through all the free agents that the Eagles might want to sign and,
you know, trying to figure out who we think they're most likely to sign. And in the back of my head,
I'm not saying I'm arguing for this, but in the back of my head, I'm thinking, you know,
it's a good safety market. You know, I think I know we've talked about read coming back. I think
that there is still a possibility for that to happen. But could they surprise us and really invest
in the secondary and sort of leave the defensive front at the edge group in particular, leave that
for the draft? You know, like, wouldn't I, I could see a world where Vic is pushing for that instead.
You know, like, give me a second corner that I can really count on or give me, you know, a
versatile safety. If Reed ends up signing elsewhere, like, I could see them doing it. It's so,
it's so against. You just used to use the stack around pick on a safety, right? Yeah. But if
read walks are going to have to, they're going to have to address that position. So are you spending
big on Phillips? Are you spending it's spending big on a different edge? Or do you use that money?
Again, if read walks, it's a big F. But if read walks, are you using that money on the
jacket? I keep hearing he's coming back, but I don't. Yeah. We'll see. I don't, you know,
yeah. I think that there's like that inkling of a chance that his market takes off. But yeah,
I agree with you. I think that they, they see the value in him. And I think, you know,
he obviously enjoys being here. So I mean, I, I wouldn't go in that. I wouldn't go to safety
route. Yeah. To me, they just, they've stepped around him before, you know, like they've, they've
had, it's cleaner now. You want to go get me KB2? I don't know. I mean, I, I, again,
the, the issue is I got like such a great nickel in coupe. And I got a middle of field guy,
right? So how much do I really need? I really need edge. Yeah. I can, I can, I want to develop
someone else back there. But I need an edge guy, man. Yeah. No, I agree. Yeah. No,
how is history? Your point about Vic makes sense. But here's the other thing. Vic's got a year
left. I mean, I mean, I mean, I'm almost he's staying, right? Yeah. Yeah. That's
favorite retirement for the last couple of years. Yeah. So maybe they're not going to build it. You're
going to, I, you know, I still believe in the edge. Right. Yeah. I was going to say it really goes
against the way that the Eagles have built their defenses under how he roseman. You'd expect them
to invest heavily in the past rush. And I do think they've kind of figured this formula out,
like where they can get that veteran outside corner opposite Quinion Mitchell. And, you know,
trying to, you know, sort of fill the gap there. But I don't know, like a guy like Alante Taylor,
you know, maybe you, you start to talk yourself into having him and Cooper DeGene as the two very
versatile, you know, secondary pieces. So I don't think it's likely, but it is something that,
again, it's been an exercise I've been going through this morning about, like, could they sort of
leave it for the draft, you know, try and prioritize getting an edge guy on the second day of the draft.
And instead of free agency, because again, it's like, you know, think about like Xavier McKinney,
the year that they were in on him, you know, Marcus Williams was another one. Like they have,
like, sniffed around some of those top of the market safeties in recent years. So I wouldn't rule
it out. I wouldn't say I think it's likely, but it's something that's on my radar.
What about options at edge at end? Like, we're obviously got the two big pieces, Hendrickson's now
out in free agency. And you got the Mac stuff, you know, like I, I would imagine, because I know that
Lane and Max are close. I would imagine that Lane would have fired some texts off to Max.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, I'm sure I think the question is less about if Max wants to come
to Philly and more about, yeah, if Eagles are willing to pay the takes to get him.
Even he listen, he's a great player. I think it'd be, it'd be fun to add him to this defense,
for sure. I think it'll come down to what it really, it'll come down in a, in a strange way,
to what they do with AJ, because of the fact that the financial repercussions,
yes, impact your ability to get Max Crosby. I know it kind of feels like it'd be the opposite,
but the dead cap hit would actually be a big factor there. The other, one of the other name I
wanted to add there is I think Bradley Chubb, if you lose out on Jalen Phillips, I think he makes
a ton of sense because they lose Jalen Phillips. They're going to play the compact game. You know,
they're going to get a third round pick next year because of the contract that Jalen Phillips
would sign elsewhere. So you're not going to want to really go heavy in free agency, which opens
the door for a guy like Max Crosby, obviously, but also, you know, Bradley Chubb got cut by the
dolphins before free agency. So he doesn't count against the compic formula. And I just keep going
back to like when we were talking at the trade deadline, it wasn't Jalen Phillips clearly above
Bradley Chubb as a player that we thought the Eagles should trade for. You know, it was kind of like,
you know, you kind of pick your, take your choice there. So yeah, I think that he would make a lot
of sense. The other name that as we, as I'm going through this exercise, looking at these free
agents is Arnold Ebbaketty. You know, he's got the, the draft pedigree, you know, obviously he's a
Penn State guy. And he's an intriguing player. I think he kind of reminds me of like, I mean, I,
I guess I would say like the like the Roddy McLeod type where it's like you think that their best
football is still ahead of them, you know, just because of the fact that he played for, you know,
in a system and for an organization that maybe didn't get the most out of him. So he's one I
throw into the mix there too. But yeah, I think that Bradley Chubb is kind of like, you know,
break if in case of Jalen Phillips signing elsewhere to me. Yeah, I would. Okay, with Chubb. Yeah,
I mean, you know, I mean, I like Phillips better than Chubb, but yeah, he's younger. He's definitely
out of higher ceiling, but Chubb is, it's played for Vic. He's got the draft pedigree that the Eagles
always seem to really care about. And yeah, I think he, I think he'd make some sense.
Uh, all right. Would he hear a God or a lot of, a lot of people, you know, walking that out,
walking him out the door? Yeah, it seems like, I mean, it seems like what would be obvious to me,
which is that if he has a really robust market at the start of free agency, I think he's gone.
You know, obviously the Eagles, you know, they only brought him back on a pay cut last year. I
don't foresee him signing something a big multi year deal with the Eagles. If his market kind of
stagnates and he doesn't, you know, get what he, what he expects, then yeah, I do think that
they're still a road back, but yeah, I think that it's going to be that it has to be, you know,
after some time passes, I think, you know, I don't think the Eagles are like pushing him out the
door, but I think they're expecting him to sort of, you know, have a, have a market and go elsewhere.
But it'll be interesting because, you know, a lot of what we heard last year was, you know,
if Dallas got it was on the open market, he'd be worth this. And that's why that was kind of his
argument for, you know, what he wanted to get paid. And now he has a chance to prove that. So,
you know, it's, it's a, it's an interesting market for tight ends. I do think Dallas got it
toward the top of it. And if he does get paid, you know, a multi year deal, I do not suspect it
would be with the Eagles. What do you hear about in Joe Cook? Because somebody brought one of the
insiders brought him up. Yeah, yeah, it would think it was a, yeah, Elliott Short Park's brought him
up there. Yeah, I mean, he is like, he's got the physical profile that you would want at that
position. He's not quite the blocker that you probably would expect based off what he looks like.
Yeah, he's, he is like, he's a name to watch. You know, I did a top three, you know, tight end
targets, you know, yesterday I put, I put that, put that out. You can check that out on our
Instagram. And I had him as my number three. I like Charlie Kohler more than him, the kid from the
Ravens. He seems like a player that I like. He got caught in the wild jam. Obviously,
exactly between Andrews and I say likely. Yeah, likely. Yeah, he's a blocker. And he actually
in calls could catch the football. Exactly. I would say if you do your homework on him, like,
you know, we've done our homework on him and you kind of can see the complete picture that you
can have there. So, you know, he is a threat and receiving game, even though he hasn't shown it
as much in the NFL because he hasn't had the opportunity. And you watch some of the clips of this
guy blocking outside zone for the Ravens. And it's just like, this guy is perfect for what they're
going to bring. What's on menu? It's going to bring the Philadelphia, you know, the outside zone,
wide zone running scheme. He's made for it. You know, how your O's been has talked about
needing, you know, tight ends that are better in the in the run game, you know, guys who can
hold the edge. And I think that is Charlie Kohler. So I think he's interesting. But my guy is
Chico Conquo. I think if you bring him in as your number one tight end and you can get the dirty
work tight ends in the draft, you know, it's a good draft for day two, day three tight ends that can,
you know, be a factor in the run game. I think that that chick makes a lot of sense for them too.
He kind of has that like he's got the traits I like it at tight end where it's he's good after
the catch because he's just physically imposing. He's a vertical threat. He's not he's not
a nothing in the run game. You know, he's solid in the run game. So yeah, I think he makes sense as
well. So I think in Joku is like part of the group. I think it does depend on kind of who goes off
the board early. But I think there are some better options out there for him. Uh, Michael Mayer.
What do you hear about the Raiders? I mean, obviously with Bowers, they're going to look
to move them. Yeah, I like him. I like him as a trade target. Uh, you know, especially if you are,
let's say Phillips walks and you're really trying to make sure you are playing the compic game and
you don't want to pay big at tight end trading for Michael Mayer. He's another one. You know, he
leans into he's he's a solid one. Yeah, he's productive in college. You know, he has a high motor.
I think he would make a lot of sense too. If you if you wanted to play that game where you didn't
want to wait into the free agent's waters. Yeah. Uh, receiver. So obviously you're going to do
if you if you do move AJ, you're going to need receiver. The name that comes out because it's
a pretty thin class with the one name. And it's funny. I've always liked them, but he's never
lived up to what he could be. Yeah. Darnel Mooney. Hmm. Okay. Like Chicago, Atlanta, like,
you know, I've always thought he could he could do something. He just never he's never really
put it all together. But I think he's got the ability. Yeah. And those are the types of guys you
kind of expect them to be in for at wide receiver, especially in free agency. Um, yeah, I think
whoever whoever you bring in, you can't be like the jahon dots in mold where it's a guy that
kind of does everything well, but nothing like exceptional. You want somebody who's really dynamic,
you know, with the with the few touches they're going to get, especially if AJ Brown is back,
which you know, obviously we talked about, we think he will be traded. But if they bring AJ back,
especially that number three receiver is only going to get, you know, a couple targets of game.
You need you need someone that can really change a game without that much opportunity. You know,
you want somebody who can stretch the field or somebody who's dynamic with the ball in their
hand. So, um, yeah, Darnell Moody's an interesting one. I I don't think that that'll be in this
market, but Romeo dobs is somebody I really liked, you know, a big physical receiver, especially if
AJ does get traded. I think, you know, he'd be a good compliment to Devonte Smith. Overall though,
I think that you're addressing this in the draft. You know, I think, you know, if you if you're
going to really the investment, you're going to be multiple receivers. So for sure. Yeah,
yeah. And you want to build that room out. I always get the sense that Nick is in the basketball
team mold. You know, he wants different profiles in his receiving core. So yeah, they have to build
that room out. I think they will address it in free agency to make sure that they don't force it
in the draft. But yeah, I think that their big investment probably comes in the draft. Yeah.
Moody's nice. He's still fairly young, 27, 28. Yeah, he's like 13 yards of catch last year,
last two years. Yeah. Yeah. Those are the guys that I think they need, you know, especially if you
drafted, even if you draft somebody to replace AJ early, that number three receiver, you want them
to be, you know, efficient more than they are like a volume player. So yeah, those are the guys
that I think you got to look at. That's amazing, right? Like we're talking about this new offense.
And if they do trade AJ and you're sitting with, here's Manion, the new offense,
hey, you got one main thing. You just got Devote. Like you got, you know, so you got to get
two tight ends, two receivers. It's pretty, it's pretty dramatic. Like, yeah, it's a big
overhaul. It really is because, you know, you're going to a lot of work to do. And Jalen's got to
get connected. You got to get a connection with, with guys like I believe in that. I believe,
you know, I'm sure that Jalen will go throw with those guys at some point before training camp.
But yeah, I mean, we've seen it with Jalen. Like he doesn't throw the ball to guys. He doesn't know
very well. So, you know, they trade AJ, they bring in a bunch of new faith, the Dallas Goddard signs
elsewhere. I mean, maybe 150 plus targets isn't unrealistic for Devote, Smith, just because
that's going to be one of Jalen's few guys left, you know, right? I mean, think about it, right?
I'm trying to remember the last time the Eagles went in with that kind of
remake in both tight ends and receivers. Yeah, I mean,
well, like the year that they got Jeremy McLean, I think they, they had a couple of
the two or three receivers. Yeah, but they already had the Sean there at that point, right?
No, it was, so probably the year that drafted the Sean, because they had McLean in 2000. No,
they had just on an 08 and McLean in 2009. So that's a year where they really remade it over two
years. Yes. I think I had to think about the Alshon year. Like when they got Alshon,
yeah, that's the time when they really had to turn it over. I don't know. I mean, they always
had to make, they always had a tight end. That was a mainstay, right? Yeah, whether we'd sell
like her earth, like you had a guy that was always there. Yeah, I mean, that year they had an
Alshon and Dallas got it. That's probably the closest thing you could compare it to, but that's
different. And you know, that's not for nothing. Like, he goes and done pretty well drafting
receivers in the first round, but obviously they haven't been perfect. You know, the, the
Jalen Ragers of the world, you know, J.J. R. Thagle, right side in the second round. It's,
it's not like I was just saying they were pretty bad. I feel like they've been pretty mediocre
except for the bond they've been better. Yeah, recently they've been better, you know,
with Devante. I guess, yeah, it really is just Devante though. So, no, I mean, it's not a sure
thing that they're going to, they're going to add a receiver and it's just going to be perfect.
It's a big overall. And you have a new, completely new offense, man. Like the new offense,
man, it's, do you think it's better? I'm starting to think, like, I think this is going to be a,
I know, I know in how is mine, right? It's, they got to retool it, right?
Yeah. So this feels like a step back year. Um, I agree with that. I don't know that, like,
it's not going to be a rebuild, but I think he's, I think he's got to take a step back to go two steps
forward. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's right. Yeah. I think that's a big reason why they had to
overhaul the offensive staff too, right? Cause they couldn't just run it back. You know, like,
their, and their, their system has been so talent focused. And that's not necessarily going to
be an option for him this year. So I mean, I think realistically, what are we going to be talking
about a few months from now? It's going to be built around Sequan. And I think it's going to be
built around trying to get the run game fixed. You know, it, cause it jumped out to me when Nick
was talking about Manion system. It was a lot about the vision he has for the run game. And you
know, the fact that the run game is more in line with what modern NFL offenses, modern principles
would suggest. And I think that that is probably telling. And the fact that if you could hang
your hat on something, it's Sequan in the offensive line. I mean, obviously that, those that,
the, you know, the offensive front's got question marks too. But, uh, yeah, rebuilding this
receiving core is not going to be an easy task. It's going to be a lot of projection.
I mean, the good thing to keep you afloat is that you have this defense, right? So yeah,
you have such a really good defense that that alone will keep you with games.
Do you, do you guys think that, um, AJ not being around, even though it's a lack of talent,
it would be easier for a manion. So he doesn't have the pressure if I got to get him the ball.
It's like that becomes a thing. I think if you're Sean Manion, you want AJ Brown as,
you know, catching, catching deep crossers, you know, and running, running after the catch,
I think he's such a good fit for what Manion is, what we assume Manion will want to bring to
Philadelphia that I think he's probably hoping that, you know, that the Eagles keep that high,
high price tag and then nobody pays it, uh, because yeah, if you're at a first time offensive
coordinator, first time play caller, I get what you're saying about like, you know, AJ brings
pressure to make sure you're getting them the ball, make sure you're keeping them involved. But
at the same time, if you're Sean Manion, you probably tell yourself, I'll get him the ball,
you know, we'll figure out, you know, how to, how to make sure he gets the opportunities.
Yeah, I mean, you think you're going to get him the ball, but who knows when it comes in the
gameplay of the ball goes his way. Sure, sure. Yeah.
Wow, man, it's wild. Real quick, the, you know, what's interesting part of this conversation is
the rest of the NFC, right? Because we talked about the Rams to start. Seattle's not going anywhere.
Chicago is going to be better. Like Chicago could be in on Crosby, right? One of the edges.
And then like, what does the division guys do? Like, what is Dallas?
Washington, the Giants, what are they doing? Yeah, Dallas is the one that stands out to me because
their offense wasn't the issue last year. They've got the talent to be a top five offensive.
They got an edge. I think I'd be worried. Yeah, I would be. Yeah, well, I was going to say like,
I think they're going to, their defense is going to look more like the Eagles defense stylistically,
you know, personnel wise. I think there's a real chance for it. Yeah, so I mean, and even if Christian
Parker can get that defense to just middle of the road, just mediocre, you're talking about a team
that is going to at least give you a tough game each week every week. You know, they're going to
be able to put up points and they're going to be able to get stops when they need to. So,
now I think Dallas will be dangerous next year. You know, with, with Washington, like,
Jayden Daniels is the ultimate wild card there. They could turn it around, but I don't know.
I just feel like they, they, they, they probably set themselves. I believe in Daniels. I just thought
they made horrific decisions around them. Yeah. And I think that those decisions last
off season set them back. You know, I don't think it's going to be an easy one-year fix one-year
turnaround. And then the Giants, I mean, I think they could be fun next year. I think they could
be frisky, hardball. Yeah, but I'm with you. I'm not worried about them. You and I, we're in
the trust tree, right? Right? Nobody's really listening. Yeah.
I'm worried about, I'm worried about the Cowboys a little bit. I, I really, and I think,
I think that is underrated. I can't believe I'm saying this.
I agree with you. I agree with you. He's underrated. Like, yeah, I hate to say it. It's the
roof. Like, listen, I know that come big games. You can have meltdowns and not play well, whatever.
Man, with those two guys, as he has pickings in the land and he's got, they got
the foreign oil is good. Like, they got weapons and he gets the ball out. He played really well
lost in a, you know, kind of a mediocre season for them. He played great. Like, I watched, you
know, we watched her games. He gets the ball out, man. And he's accurate. He had all those
weapons last year. Yeah. I'm worried. I think cash strapped out with the cap.
Aren't they like, yeah, they're going to figure out the pickings. They're going to figure out the
pickings thing. But I don't know. They have, they had some levers to pull because, you know,
being an indie, I was asking around about the possibility of them signing the Kobe. And, you
know, what I got, what I heard back is that they can make a couple moves to clear enough space
to be active in free agency. And I mean, they were top five offense last year. You, you added,
semi-competent defense to that team. And yeah, you're talking about a team that's going to
challenge to win the division. I, I'm with you because like, I don't, it doesn't, it brings me
no joy to say. No, I'm worried about it. Very good. I'm worried about them. I actually think
this is the next next year's their year to come up and jump up. And I'm like, I'm worried about
them. I am. Yeah, there's a reason that you don't see teams. Just the NFC East has been such a
competitive division. You know, the Eagles are the first team to win it back to back. And decades,
it's, there's a reason for it. It's the, you know, these teams, you know, as much as we like to laugh
at some of these teams in the NFC East, they've been rocky recently. It's a tough division. It's a
tough division. Yeah, man, you know, man, the chat is not happy. Big far says this segment's nauseating.
Any rights that's caused these to lay off the herb and fit dad with a $20 super chat. I will not
listen to any of this stack praise. Ha, ha, ha. He had all those same weapons last year.
It did go there with it. Stop it. The offense wasn't the problem last year. I hate them.
I sympathize. I've said it with a bunch of sympathizers. I sympathize them. Be worried. I think
you guys, I'm telling you, I don't, I'm worried. Yeah. I'm worried. I am worried. I have to admit.
Yeah. You guys have me now believe me, Leon. Yeah.
Mostly just carry Jones effect. You know why? You're not very, very, very Jones effect.
I listen, I'm hoping that's the case, but I'm, I'm well nervous. I can't even bear my soul
be and give you a fear. No, I was just, this is where the trust tree. Yeah.
It's almost for the trust tree. Yeah. Right. Probably $20 of my face.
Yeah. Thanks, brother. We love you. Talk to you guys.
Yeah. See you later today for the beat down. See it blocked the big.
Oh, he just walked in. Thanks, pal. Love you.

All right.
You know what's funny?
We were talking about that the cowboys and I'm like nervous.
Yeah.
I'm kind of a little worried.
And I feel like
you'll get the reference.
I feel like Duke that you know, Duke is
Ethan.
You know, Duke was
Duke was Apollo's trainer.
All right.
Hey, Duke is only one to V Duke, right?
He's actually two dudes.
It's Duke, Apollo's trainer and a Duke football.
Oh, well, I was just saying midnight run with how to Duke, Duke.
I'm like right.
Jonathan Mardukes.
Yes.
Oh, you got the Duke.
I got the Duke.
So there's many great Duke.
Apparently.
So he's watching
the news footage of Rocky hitting the meat.
And he's like, yo,
can't just better come over here and look at this dude.
Yeah, yeah, I'll smoke him in three.
That's me and fit that.
Yeah, you would fit that.
I'm like Apollo.
Oh, man.
I just don't want to be a Christian Parker.
I like Christian Parker.
You get a defense.
I'm a little worried.
Like I freaking I hate it.
The last thing I want is I have to worry about that.
Oh, that'll give me odds in it for all sees, right?
But I am a little concerned.
You guys are like, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, man, we're Apollo.
All right.
So this is a great story.
And I want you to tell it.
Then we'll get to the daily five.
Okay.
So you lost.
You got your bike stolen.
I come back from my house on my mom's house on Sunday.
I live down a gated alley.
My gate is unlocked.
I'm like, what the heck?
So I looked through my ring camera to see why my gate's unlocked.
And as I'm going through, I see a guy come in my alley
and walk out with my bike.
My next neighbor left my gate unlocked.
They thought they locked it.
So I got a picture of a guy who takes my bike.
We do the show.
What's a neighbor say?
They felt bad.
Yeah, like a bite bite.
But it's a massive bike.
I felt bad taking their money.
So we do the show Monday.
I hit the pavement.
I go to the pawn shops.
I'm hitting used bikes.
Places.
I take a lot of down street.
He's like, we have to we've got the same three bikes here
for two years.
So, uh, and I put a post up on the Facebook Queen Village's
neighborhood group.
About three o'clock.
Now my bike got thrown about two o'clock.
Six o'clock that night, I get a tip.
Some ladies are like, I'm going to DM you.
She's like, this guy comes around fourth and
pine, fourth and spruce trying to wash windows.
He got a bucket and a squeegee.
He was there today, but I just saw your post late,
but he came around like three o'clock.
All right.
So yesterday, he had the bite.
He was on a bike.
Yeah, I said, she sent me a picture.
She said, he's just your bike he was with today.
I was like, yeah, that's my bike.
He's like, you, you identified the bike
through the adventure.
Yeah, I got it.
Forget about actually do great.
So the Tuesday was rainy.
So I went, I was like, he's probably not going to be out,
but I went to like O'Neill's.
I went to bars in the neighborhood.
You guys know this guy puts, if you see him, text me.
So then yesterday, I do my rounds.
Go around the Society Hill.
Go around Queen Village.
Nothing.
It's like, let me spread the word a little bit more.
So I go to one of my favorite sandwich shops.
I was freeing at the Vita, third shathering.
Yeah.
I'm called, I'm called Big Don loves him.
And I say, hey, you know this guy's like, nah, nah, nah.
Like, but if we see him, we'll hire him.
And we'll call you when he's here.
I said, all right, cool.
That's a good move.
I go across the street.
How about it?
Did you go see Michy Tools?
Uh, no, yeah, I was making my rounds.
I go across street to the new wave.
I show everyone this picture.
If you see this guy in the neighborhood, text me.
As I'm walking out the new wave,
he comes riding down on my bike down third street.
And I see him coming past the window of new wave.
And I'm like, what?
And I said, do I run out?
And then how do you approach him so he don't run away?
We had the sting.
The counter lady, Kathy at Farina,
DeVita is like, I think that's his guy.
So Jason, who knows Farina comes running out, flags him down.
He's like, yo, yo, buddy, you doing windows?
He rides back.
I think he's got a job.
Seventy bucks, he thinks he's going to get a job.
He puts my bike down and me in two buddies, Greg and Alec are at the new wave waiting
in the four year to pounce on him.
But it's my bike down.
Get the squeezy.
I think he's got a job.
And I also got a tip.
I knew his name was Julian.
So I come popping out.
I'm like, yo, Julian.
And he's like, hey, I was like, give me my bleep and bike back, man.
You bleep and thief.
And he's like, huh?
I showed him a picture.
I was like, did you steal him my bike, dude?
And he's like, I didn't know it was yours.
I didn't know it was yours.
He's like, you knew it was yours, bro.
What are you doing?
So I took my bike back.
Got it.
Safe and sound.
And the kicker of all this.
After I walk my bike back home,
I go to free to DeVita,
tipping the Galady 50 bucks for helping me out.
They're like, he came back in,
trying to get the money for doing the windows.
No!
And he upped his price because he needs a new bike.
He went to 75 bucks and said,
He's like,
Julian, listen, he's trying to make the money.
I was like, come on.
Julian's trying to make a doll.
So I owe thanks to free to DeVita for the sting,
my backup muscle at New Wave,
my tipsters on the Queenville's Facebook.
You're a great detective.
Yeah, I will get props.
The cops came out to report the day after it happened.
And last night, a detective called me.
I was like, who's going to follow up with a bike stone?
Yeah, the detective's reached out to me.
Oh, he said, give me your footage.
This could be a guy of interest.
We're looking for, like, now we know his routine and stuff.
But yeah, bike is back.
You got the bike. That's big.
I was at a walk in my back and bike back up third tree
and there was a woman on a bike ride.
I don't know, but I think she watched it all go down.
She's like, did you just get a stolen bike back?
I was like, bleep, yeah, I did.
He's like, that's unbelievable.
Never happens, never.
Never.
But when the detective called me,
he's like, you got your bike back and I told him to sting
out for reason.
He was hysterical to bring sick operations.
He was so happy.
He thought he had a big job doing windows.
That is awesome.
Yeah, dude.
That is great.
I felt the whole community felt good.
New wave I went there last night.
There was like shots.
We got the bike back.
That's a, you got everybody involved in the caper.
Yeah, dude.
That's great.
That's a great episode of something.
Yeah, it was fun.
You know, fun tracking them down.
Like a fun little one.
Yeah, you know, what was that show on HBO
with Ted Danson was in it?
He was like, do you love that show?
Yes, we're the death.
Yeah.
He's just working as a writer,
ain't making up the money because of P.I.
And yes, like that's like a great episode for that.
Like the neighborhood people.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was great.
You know, that's cool.
It's a good day in the village yesterday.
That's great.
All right.
Well, congratulations.
You get the bike back.
Thank you.
Hey, let me get you real quick on the daily five chat.
chime in on this.
This is our daily five
for today.
Now, I want to hit you up.
Whether you're a did the one question,
which I thought was fun,
which is what you would,
what you, you're, you're bucket list.
I know you do, right?
Like I was doing tape.
I like to tape with how he'd sit back and watch that.
I was kind of text him like, dude, I like this dude.
It's fun because you know, you want to drop the nays
because then when they drift and you will be like,
yo, yeah, well, the funny thing about it is like,
I like my assessment.
Like my assessment drive jived a lot with his.
All right.
So it's good validation.
Yes.
Yeah.
All right.
Give me three Eagles moves that you would make next week.
All right.
I would, I would trade a number one.
Nolan Smith.
There's maybe a later on pick from Max Crosby.
Okay.
I like that.
I would sign my Gevens.
All right.
And I know I'm going to ruffle some feathers,
but I would trade Jalen for Barrow.
What?
I'll ask.
That's just not a, uh,
that's just not a, like, hey, by the way,
I would change your entry.
They put them in order of importance.
No.
Yeah.
All right.
I don't think we, I don't think AJ Brown goes anywhere.
If that's the name, probably not.
Question number three.
Well, Ethan, what would you do?
Ethan, let me throw this by you.
Give us one.
One.
One move that you would do for the birds.
That's hard putting me on this five.
I'm trying to think of something that's not
just so common.
No, you don't have to.
It's me.
Whatever comes your mind.
You already got a fire.
Nick fire.
Nick fire.
That's probably how to do it.
I want to do it.
All right.
Think about it, Chad.
What you would do.
Question number three,
since we did number two,
is this the three best
Philadelphia trades of this century,
because AJ was the trade.
I misread the question.
I figured the last 100 years.
No.
This century.
Oh, man.
That changes everything.
Well, you know, all those are back in the day.
All right, AJ is number one.
I mean, I mean,
think about it.
The Sardo might be number.
The Sardar is the top three.
That was a good trade.
Well, I mean, if you want to go fill his picture,
you got it.
Doc.
Well, I forget what they gave up for Doc.
Kyle Trebeck.
I mean, it was way out of a bunch.
Because JT was a good trade.
They gave up nothing for JT.
At least you got to go.
It's a good move.
Yeah, I go.
AJ's number one.
Because they turned that into like six picks.
Right.
Every built the franchise.
It felt like from the Carson Wednesdays.
I mean, well, the went to himself trade.
Like the went train.
Like how he's made some great trail.
Yeah, he's a mover and a shaker.
Yeah, yeah.
Call well Jones for Moses.
No, you didn't.
Yeah.
Carlton for employees.
Oh, my God.
I was like, last 100 years, I call well Jones.
Be well.
Nobody is.
You know, call well Jones was.
He was the six or statter.
He wore number 11.
He was six.
He was the six or statter.
Is that right?
Yeah, I think you were number 11.
611.
No, he wore number.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And see well.
Oh, well Jones.
He was a statter.
And he was like a weak link.
For the sixers back in the day.
Oh, yeah.
I'm seeing like a career fall off after.
That's great.
Yeah, yeah, they swapped him for Moses.
Him and a one for Moses is one that you stole Moses.
I need to say swipe them.
Yeah.
Question number four.
I love Kyle's football, right?
Like I tell you that all the time to you.
Give me something in sports.
You wish people were more into.
I mean, obviously for me, it's Kyle's basketball.
I think it's a sport everyone should be watching.
But I will say locally, man, I got into it.
This high school basketball is cheap.
I think games are good.
Yeah, and it's a good little high school football too.
Same thing.
Yeah, I think high school sports is a good hobby to have.
I agree.
Yeah, yeah.
Then you're up on like the kids go in the college and everything.
Yeah, it's a high school sports.
Good answer.
Where do you got even something in sports
you with other people were more into?
I think fantasy, any fantasy sports, but not in the sense of just like I'm here to make money.
Like I love fantasy sports.
I love participating in that.
But I don't almost all my leagues are free.
I do one money league a year.
And it's just with my friends is 10 bucks.
Like I love that for the the archetypes of the pure.
Like like like it's not about my yeah, like like following,
following players like like almost taking my own viewing of everything
that I consume and actually putting it to something in my own decision-making.
Like I control my team.
I do not have fantasy, man.
I love that.
I love that song.
I do.
I like that.
Say you were saying rugby F1 and curling.
Awesome.
Rugby is yes.
I'd like to get into F1.
I'd like to know what I would love to get in there.
A lot on your penis.
I'd like to say just my good event.
I got like the, you know, the Italians that I'm friends with from Italy.
They love that one.
Get up early and have coffee.
I think I'm watching F1.
Yeah.
My friends who aren't really into sports,
it's the one thing that they're,
and tell you all the other songs.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm with you.
Something about it.
That's cool.
I'd like to get into that.
Like I got, like I'm glad I got into soccer.
Because I enjoy like I'm looking for the World Cup.
And this time of the year, like, you know, yeah.
So like that early morning,
Sunday morning, yeah, you know, like that watching the world,
watching the gold medal game was fabulous.
Awesome.
Awesome.
All right.
Last one is all for the new Peaky Blinders movie.
What TV show needs its own movie?
See, I'm not even trying to irritate you.
You're going to hate this answer.
But it's a TV show that only did one series.
And it was great.
And it was too short.
Freaks and geeks.
Seth Rogan knows you guys a great cast.
And I love a movie because you only had the one season.
It's like, guy, give us an updated movie on what these
this crew is up to.
All right.
It's good.
It works.
I didn't what's it about?
High school.
Yeah, yeah.
It's different crews, different clicks.
But the cast is stupidly good.
James Franco is in it.
Oh, wow, get out.
Yeah.
Jason Seagull.
You have one?
My favorite show of time is Breaking Bad.
I don't know.
It did the movie.
Yeah.
It did the movie.
It was good.
Yeah.
Fit dad would like to see the walking dead a movie.
That's a good.
That's a great answer.
That's a great answer.
I also watch a lot of anime.
So I don't know.
I would have to think about that.
But they do do a lot of movies.
And they unfortunately do a lot of live action,
where it's just not nearly as good.
My auntie watches that.
Nice.
Auntie watches that.
A lot of that.
All right.
Let's go back in the day.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
Back, back, back.
We're going back, back, back, back.
We're going back, back, back, back, back.
We're going back, back, back, back, back.
Back in the day.
We're true, Mark.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
There we go.
This is awesome.
Look at it.
1982 Dr. J. O'Casellum Street
in the trash game with Oscar.
That's awesome.
Dr. J. O'Casellum Street.
Don't get, or Oscar.
Yeah, he dumps out a few people in the episode.
I watched some of the episodes.
We can't play it for copyright reasons.
But I was like, I'll dock in the trash can.
That's a great picture.
That's a great picture.
That's fantastic.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
All right.
Everybody.
Have a great day.
We love you.
See you tomorrow.
You're all sitting like the mayor.
The Anthony Gargano Show
