Good one, two, three. Clap! Hello, ladies. Hello, ladies. We missed you. You missed you week. I've been attending. I know. Since we last saw each other. I know. I feel like everyone will also think it was grace. Miss Bizzy B, who made us had a week off, but it was me, I must admit. She was ready to rock and roll, but I was... You know, when you're in that crazy, great outfit. Yeah, you're like, just fucking do it. I can do it in 10 minutes. Let's do back to back and you're like, can we just, I just need a minute, sorry. Let's do it about to explain. No, yeah. Grace was launching persona in Sydney, and I was so close nearby, but I went home for a funeral to New Zealand. And the funeral was meant to be earlier. So that's why I was like, oh, the pot will be fine. And then it ended up being the day before we were going to record.
And that day was just like, obviously so exhausting. And I was just sleeping like terribly back home. So yeah, we took a little week off, but very different weeks were had. I was like, so... I was doing the... What's the thing? Just like escaping reality into your amazing magazine launch from afar and looking at your fits and thinking, God, I need to hear more about this dress. But tell us, tell me everything. So I went back to Sydney for three days, which I do not recommend. I basically was like, I will... It was either bring Eli and be there for ages or go in and out because even three days in Sydney is like five days away from here, which was like very tricky to coordinate. But I... Yeah, so it was a very quick fly in fly out. And it was really intense as in.
It was just like... When I got on the flight back, I genuinely was... I was like, wide awake even though it was tired for eight hours. So I was like, I have to process like three days worth of things. I didn't even have like the downtime to launch. So crying, child. With this grandparents. Yeah, the launch was so fun. It was just like crazy. It was one of those things. It was like on the minute every minute after landing was something. And even just like, I have so much respect for what you do throwing events because like events is crazy. It's just... And like we had a person doing it and it was still just crazy. Like there's just so many things to think about. I know. I always forget. I always forget a lot to the day of. That's the problem. It's just like there's never... I don't know. There's always something. Yeah, there's always something. And I always think like I'm really about it delegating.
I love to like, I just want to be across everything because I'm a control freak. And so... And I also think I can do more than I can. Or like I'm very... Even when I have interns, I'm like, I'll do it. I'm like, you're doing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's up with that? I let my intern like leave early one day. And then I was like packing boxes by myself. And I was like, why? Oh, why? It is... It's so hard to do. Or like you get fixed. Like there was one day where I was trying to get the label maker working. And Paulina was like, I don't worry. And then I was like, no, no, just one more minute. And then it was like genuinely like threatening to derail our whole day if I didn't just leave. And I was like, I just... I can't. I'm just having a sort of fixation on this. Like I can't. I'm too far down. Like anyone else can figure out how to do this. You know what I mean? Yeah. But it was, yeah, it was really, really fun. I mean the party was so fun. It was like... If... Throwing your own event feels like you're wedding. Like everywhere you turn, you're like, oh, you're a princess.
You're a princess. People started getting us to sign the books. And then someone goes to grace. And then there's a little signature sign. And I was like, I feel like I'm Angelina Jolie. Give me that. So good. It was just really fun. And then it was like... We had it at this place called The Cross Art and Books. And it's this amazing guy called Gavin. It's basically he owns like thousands of... of vintage... Fashion books, art books, design books. Like... He ever. Whatever. Like biographies were just a million amazing like kind of coffee table books. They were his own collection. And then he converted part of his house into a bookshop to sell some of it because he had so much stuff. It's so special. It's so special. He... I think so. I'm the cell obsessed with him. I was like, Gavin, do you want to stay for a cosmo? And he goes, that would be my worst nightmare. Oh, I love Kiwis and Aussies and Brits and our humour.
God, I know. I needed a bit of dry fucking... Yeah, dry dry. Dry dry dry. Did you... Everyone's like, what? Really? Everyone's like, amazing, of course. I would love nothing more. I'm like, someone just be mean. Be can tanker is. So he was upstairs and then we had the place to a nine and you bet your un-9. Oh, 8.59 he was out. He was like, get the fuck out of my house. Yeah. Lights are off. Lights are off. He's still signing. He's signing his book. Yeah. And then we ended up at Paradise in like Puts Point. It was really fun. It was just a fun... The crew went out. I could see the one line. Like all that old Mac friends. The Mac Macs. Yeah, the Mac Hags out on mass. It was like real... It was just like a good vibe. Not to bore and hump. It was a really good vibe. It was really fun. Yeah. It looked very special.
I want to... I know you're going to carry on but we need to just pause to talk about the dress. Okay. Let's sort of have a guess. Let's try it out. Where is it from? What brand is it? Okay, it's Edward Cumming who I had this really hilarious conversation with Thomas Townsend which I wish I recorded for you. Because you know, when you can't even remember, he's like literally the person ever born. Yeah. We just... But if you like tried to repeat it, it just wouldn't sound funny. He was saying... Where's your dress from? I said Edward Cumming and he was like, isn't he Australian? And at the same time I was like, I thought he was Australian. It was just too dumb idiots. I was like, talk to each other. And I was like, yeah, but when I emailed to be like, I actually bought it for something else that I didn't... And that... And not being dressed enough to wear it for. So I had it. And for that thing, I'd emailed to be like, hey, can you get ship it to me quickly? Because your website saying like six shipping days or whatever. And I think it's used to definitely... Just based in Spain, because the response was like, hola exclamation mark.
But we were convinced that Edward Cumming is Australian and has once showed on the Australian Fashion Week calendar. So now it's unknown. But... Worth a little Google. But yeah, I... I thought when you said, when you said, when you said coming the first thing, I thought was British. I guess we were. No, we'll never ever know. But I... This is what we started laughing about about Edward Cumming being like incognitive. It wasn't even... I can't even remember what it was. But we did this whole bit that went on for so long. About your like stupid British thing in Spain. You don't even have a full... You don't even have a full pick on your Instagram. Your very own Instagram. I was flicking through trying to find it again. I know. It's a cropped one. I need to manage your Instagram. But I don't have my own. Where have you fully deleted? No, I just noticed. I wasn't bored at home. Let me just say that. But like I was in my hometown where there was literally nothing to do.
Yeah. And I was having a great time doing nothing. But I just found I was just like on... I was just on my phone. And I was just scrolling and scrolling. And I was like, oh my god. And then... So I was like, I'm just gonna delete Instagram off my phone while I'm home. So that I can do something. Just like literally anything that's mildly like productive. It was just like that with... Because it's just never ending obviously. But usually at home I can like, I'll just stop and do something else. But there I was like, I'm not in my own space. So I deleted that off my phone. And then I got back onto Facebook. Facebook? Oh, and did you know it was like... I was like, what am I gonna do? I'm gonna take out, I deleted the threads. I will get like stuck on that fucking thing. Yeah, some of my things. Um, deleted, three, two, three. I deleted TikTok, which I haven't used in a long time. I deleted Instagram. And then I somehow was on Facebook. And I didn't realize, like people back in New Zealand. And I don't know about Australia. I don't want to speak for the country. But like people definitely in New Zealand are using Facebook.
And they have like stories and stuff, which I had no idea about. Oh, so they're using it like it's Instagram. Yeah, it's like, it's like a pop it off thing still in Hastings. And stances? Like in the vein of how we used to post or... No, just stories like Instagram stories. Oh, yeah, yeah. Um, but I started going on that and then was looking up. Because me and I was staying at my best friend, Ash's house, who we met when we were 15. And so she was talking about all these high school friends of ours. So then I was on like Facebook looking up all these old high school friends. And then to the point where I was like, I now have to delete Facebook. Sort of deleted that. And then it was just while I was home. But I really, I haven't missed it. So I'm just not having it on my phone. Yeah, that's cool. Although I miss every single thing happening in the world. I woke up and like made a coffee and made breakfast before I found out Dolly Parton had died. Like I was like, what the fuck?
Someone in our house was like Dolly Parton's day. Dolly Parton's dead. They got like a alert on their phone. The emergency alert. They got to like, no, no, no, but you know how they do that. They're like, wildfires going on. Yeah. It's like Dolly Parton. They should have happened. But also, yeah, like I swear to God, I'm like a New York Times. I don't know, I don't get any alert. Yeah, it's good though. It's nice to move through. I need a revet back to that now. I've been like way too. I've been like thrust back into the online world. And I'm getting like the fatigue thing. Totally. I'm like, ugh, like you just start, you're just scrolling to the sake of scrolling. And then you get, it's like so. You get, it's the dopamine, which you would have gotten a lot of. Of, on release. And then you're like chasing it. You're chasing it. And it's literally like the poker machine thing. Like you're just being like, what's in it? What's, show me something else? Show me something like it's really, really crazy.
So then when the Galeano stuff was happening, I was like, when you're in that headspace, then you like linger in the comments. Then you, I don't know, it's really interesting how easily it happens. Like I've been watching all this Lindsay Clancy trial stuff. Cause so many people talk to me about it in Australia. And I know it's massive. But it just wasn't, I was aware it was the thing without feeling any compulsion to go deep into it. And then I feel like when you're in this like online headspace, you're just suddenly like in the little cracks and cracks and I hate it. I hate it. It's a good thing. Yeah. No, it's been, it's been really nice. And I got Alex to do it too. And we just probably haven't got out my phones. But I do fear I'm not going to be able to, I'm going to find other means of like finding shit for the pod. Cause last night I was like, oh, I'll go on like the magazines. And there was nothing happening. But yeah. Okay, so the launch party was really fun. The magazines almost sold out.
I saw it for a few covers. It's pretty crazy. Cause we basically were like, we'll sell, we'll start by just selling it directly to people. And then we'll have like a few stockers. And then like to freight the stuff over to the UK and America is like really expensive. And time consuming. And I was like talking to our guy and I was like, can we send it by ship? I'm learning about, you probably know about this stuff within time. But I was like, can we send it by boat? Cause it's cheaper. And he was like, yeah, but it could take anywhere between like six weeks and like seven months. Like he's just, no way of knowing. I was like, wait, how is that even possible? And he says, we'll talk to anyone who works in manufacturing. This is your whole issue. You get one order like, you know, the street of her moves happens. So crazy. Also, what's the deal worth getting them? Let me know if you need help in the US if you want to like ship it to my house. And then I can take it to Skylight. Oh, it was. That's very interesting. You mentioned it.
Obviously, it's right right now. It's already coming. Paulina's coming over to New York. She's going to bring some coffees to give to Skylight. But we're just, but it's hard to not have that like manic energy of like just everyone needs to get it tomorrow. So just spend a $1.00 on like FedEx. You know what I mean? It's like, yeah, not gonna be calm and slow and considered like people have bought it. Even people bought it in the UK. And then we sold out of, I bought coffees back from Australia with me. And I thought that was going to be like heaps. And we ran out of that before I could even ship all the UK. So now people have got to like wait a bit longer. And I felt so anxious about it. And then I think the whole purpose of this whole thing is something that's like. Time to be loved and endure over time. So it's okay to wait like seven days. No, I thought beyond noise. Because I did the Sharon Stone cover for it. Yeah. And it arrived. I bought her cover maybe close to three months ago. And it just arrived. Love. Love.
I'm not saying we should be. I was referring to that because I did too long. I did. I just, it was more like it wasn't even. I wasn't even like annoyed that it came that long. I was more just like, is it coming? But then it arrived. We're like a chill kind of customer. There's like different. There's different customers. There was someone we said free shipping for. We said free shipping for the first 48 hours. And I can actually really empathize with seeing that. And then the free shipping not pulling through. It's fucking annoying. But if we had a like at those like one. There was like a couple of regions where it wasn't pulling through. And then for about like four minutes, the Australian one bugged down. It wasn't pulling through. So we had like three orders that we had to refund it on. And someone was like, and again, our defense we missed this person. It'd been challenging for you. They shouldn't have been. But they sent like four emails of like Instagrams to like me, Paulina and the account of different multiple different Instagrams. I would say we got 20 pieces of correspondence on this.
And it was within like 48 hours. And I, you know, when I was like, I can relate to this energy, but I can't. I can't get it increasingly. Just like jean yourself up more. Like scammers. This is how Caroline Holloway got. Got. Yes, cancer people get that like energy on man. And it's dangerous. Yeah. And I was like, I promise you. It's coming. It's coming back. Yeah. I'm like so, I'm so the opposite that the other day I paid for parking. And I like, I like tapped my card. And then after, you know, as it's like processing, it was like $300. And I was like, wait. And I was like, sort of go, wait, what just happened? Why was it $300? And I was like, oh, fuck, sorry. Like I literally have no idea. And I was like, it's all good. And he was like, it'll come back into your account. And I was like, when do you reckon? And he was like, next couple of weeks, I was like, okay, I just drove off. And I had like no way of contacting him. No evidence. Nothing, no evidence. And I'm like, literally last week. I was like, I wonder if that ever came back.
And it did. It did. Good. So that is your like, oh, that's going to come back soon. And that'll be a little treat. And then you realize it already came back. And it just covered into your fucking horrible finances. Totally. Well, I'm very excited to get my copy. I ended up going for the number one cover. That's the one that's, it's basically sold out, which were very, we have quite surprised, like not surprised, but we, it's sold out really quickly. We're very excited. Yeah. You think we've got like 20 copies left or something. And then the other, there's another one that's only got a few left. Not too, not too like, ask when the baby's coming, when you just got married, but when, when you planning for like, the issues to come out. I think we thought it would be, we want to do twice a year and maybe like go up to one more, maybe do three.
Ideally, we said four a year, but they're quite, that's a lot. The point of it, yeah, the point of it is that you work with the person. And that's not fun if you're like, chop chop. You know what I mean? I'm gonna take time. Like we, the thing with Bella worked because we'd be like, can you send us something like, do you have anything from your archives we can look at? And then we'd like look at all of this stuff and then we'd be like, you made all these like movies with John Malkovich, that's sick. And then we'd like email John Malkovich and then we'd have to wait. You know what I mean? Like that all, it's just, that's the fun part. So if you start like rushing that, it's, loses the specialness. So yeah, I think we had this exact conversation because when you go back, it's like, everyone just by nature of it is trying to put it in the box of like, okay, so is this like quarterly or thing? How do you advertise? How do you blah blah? And we're like, you know, we have to remind ourselves that it's, it's the whole point of starting it was, that it's just this like special, collectible thing. And so I think we'll do the next one, next February.
I mean, March, September is kind of the like, yeah, it's going to say March. Is there conventional wisdom? But I think we benefited from doing an August launch. Like people are like, oh, you like August is the dumbest month to launch anything. And I'll say it's our, I think it's quite fun to be like off. Yeah, also, yeah, I don't know. Also the September issues come out in August. They come out in August anyway, really. And then yeah, but it's fun. What would be fun about doing September and March is you get women's fashion weeks. You can do like little events at Paris Fashion Week to launch, you know, or London Fashion Week, obviously. Yes. And yes, stay tuned. Which would be very fun. Also my birthday March 18th. There was a little issue release then. We can do an issue dedicated to you. Yeah, I'm the feel bad for you. You're the cover. You're the whole issue.
Dressed in the pocket. Dressed in Kmart. I went back to Hastings and do you guys have Kmart in Australia? Yeah, for sure. Oh my god, I went in there with Ash. And I was like, this place is beyond special. And I do believe that if you live, I don't know about the Australian one. I can't speak for it. But the New Zealand one. Very good clothes. Very good like random little amazing dog bowls. Elevated. Beautiful colors. Ceramic. Bits and bobs. And the tops, they had these amazing long sleeve scoop neck tops. Six New Zealand dollars. The same fabric makeup as many brands that are like 100 USD for the same thing. I was like, I literally was looking at the fabric tags and being like, this is crazy. Bought them all up, light blue, light pale yellow. They're so, so, so cute.
Heaven, shout out to camera. I had a similar thing where I went with my mother and mother's here at the moment. And we went into a little charity shop. And I was like, in my head, I was like, I'm over these charity shops that aren't going. Because it's always like really bad stuff. And I found these long-sleeved scoop neck shirts from like, I have to check the back of my tag. But like some came out asc brand. And I was like, these are literally better than like 90% of the shit you would buy for 100 USD. And they were like, four pounds. No, that's special. I also did some shopping in the Hastings. I went to like, have look North has some bougie shops and I went in and they have like a, whatever, second hand, resale one. Gorgeous little Kate Silvestre de Ress, which is this Kiwi label. It's been around forever. And she recently closed down, which I'm very sad about. And found Vivian Wisswood pants. It was like amazing Vivian Wisswood trousers. They weren't like crazy cheap, but they were much cheaper than they would be anywhere else.
They were like 100 and 60 New Zealand. Which is cheap, but I'm used to like a $6 bargain at Kmart at this point. Yeah. And they fit perfect. So like these grey wool striped trousers. I was like, what's going on here? And then, as C by Chloe, cute little ruffle dress for 20 New Zealand dollars. Cute. Love to, love to find good stuff in store. Agree. So, I just want to think of any funny stories for you, but I can't. Yeah, do you have more in persona? No, I was trying to just think of something funny that happened in Sydney, but maybe it'll come to me. I had something. Do we talk about Galeano? I honestly like, I know it's not true, but I was like, did we manifest this? I will say.
The only person I've seen be negative about this is you and I, and we were very mild, but I'm like, he was hardly in my experience being hounded out of this exhibition. No, I will say that out of everything, every piece of content I listened to on the topic, we were the most critical. I felt no joy in it being cancelled. I felt, as we said, that it was like misguided to put it on right now, but I don't see the backlash, which makes me think the backlash was don't are related. It was behind the scenes, because there was not a big social media backlash to it at all. I feel like there's a backlash to the cancellation. Oh, really? So, it doesn't look like it's in the neighbourhood, but it's not. I think this would be a lot of things to understand. Perhaps this round of Bosnia Fox, which we pass back to was really if there's Christmas wine at home, I would be happy to say, oh my, I was beaten up.
and I love his work, I would love to see a fucking exhibition full of it. But I really feel the temperature online from what I've seen just with like, like, liars and Susie mankeys and like, Sam at night and I don't individually name just those people. It just, it seems like everyone. It seems like the response is like very, very negative to the cancellation. Yeah. Yeah. People are being very like, can no one ever atone for a mistake? Like, this is outrageous. This is, yeah, it's like very interesting. Yeah. And Anna Wintou was like, it's a shame, it's like, I'm very sad and then it's not going to happen. It's just kind of like, it's just kind of, it feels like setting him up for failure in a way, because to me, I felt like, oh, this is as we said, like, the temperature of this moment seemed like the wrong time. So then it seems like
he's being like somewhat humiliated globally by them having to cancel it when it's just being avoided in the first place, you know? Yeah. You either do it and you commit to it because you know there's going to be backlash and you've like, explicitly said in the press release, like, you've prepared for the backlash by saying you're going to address these things and like, whatever. Or you don't do it. You don't do it. You don't know. They say we're going to do it and then cancel it is crazy. Crazy. Like, I really wanted to know. None of that would have been unanticipated. That like, that's the whole thing. And surely they went through all of the, you announce it internally to everyone before you announce it. I wonder if the reason it was cancelled, because I can't imagine it would have been just kind of a public backlash alone. I feel like maybe the reason it was cancelled is because there were some big sponsors being like, we're not going to support
like big, big money donors. I think it was sponsors and donors to the people on the border. Yeah, I think it was all behind the scenes pressure. Yeah. Like, they just weren't going to raise money for the means, like, enough money or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. Very interesting stuff. And maybe even guess, I wonder. Yeah. Do you have some guess expressed concern about attending? I reckon it. Yeah. I feel like it's like some, some huge multi-million dollar donations coming in. Yeah. I think so too. Be interesting. It's interesting because I think it's the last one was technically Chloe Miles first met Gala, but this one feels a bit more technically. Like, I know it's still at a windtools thing, but it's, I feel like they're under pressure right now for these met Gala's to continue to be like the thing, you know? So it's quite high stakes.
Yeah. Because the new Lackma over here that opened last year, and it was like a, I think the building took, it was like a 20 year project, and that's where do you all hold this show in LA, and that's where the pretty sure the vanity fear Oscars after money was, they're trying to make that a spot. So it's kind of interesting because it's like if the met starts, if people start going to the met less, and then suddenly the vanity fear Oscars after party is like more elite and at this like amazing art institution, maybe, I don't know, that might start becoming more of a like interesting place to be. Because yeah, something is a little, something's like a verging on a little bit shardier about the met Gala not to say, wouldn't like absolutely die and cut off my left arm to go.
But it's like, yeah, no, I feel like you're seeing a tide change in like they're still able to bring a high caliber of people obviously, but I felt at the last one, I don't know if this is actually backed up by the numbers of who was there, but I feel like you can feel that it's not, it used to feel like the power dynamic was like Beyonce thing, blah blah blah, like Taylor Swift, they will come to the met Gala of Ask, do you know what I mean? Whereas now it feels a bit more like, I'll like, Rihanna will do Vokasolid and go. You know what I mean? Like that feels like what the vibe is now. Yeah, yeah, it's like that's swapped around a bit and and I think a lot of it as well is about celebrity sort of having to do contractual stuff with the brands they work with. What was the beginning of the end? Something up like, I know that it's not like Lively's fault, but in my hit it is. Well, she's synonymous with like a certain type of thing that the met Gala and it's peak represented.
Do you know what I mean? I think now it's like, yeah, I don't know. No one's really like gagged for Blake Lively in a, if I thought she'd gown at the met anymore. Yeah, I think also the bathroom selfies. Maybe it was like that bathroom selfie era that made it feel so, it was like made it feel so relevant and interesting and young and cool, but at the same time like, we were letting on something that we just like, I don't know, shouldn't have seen something. Yeah, we should never have seen. No, there was something to do with the performances or something. I know what you're talking about where I think it just became clear that it was like behind closed doors. It was a bunch of people that don't know each other like awkwardly sort of sitting around. You know, like it's, it like was the behind the curtain of Oz type thing. Yeah, it's also just a long day, I must say.
Like it's like you just, we'd be getting ready for so long, you'd be like so tired by the time you actually like finish on the road carper and then you've got to sit around and have dinner and like an uncomfortable dress. Like what's the upside now I guess as well? Like if I get if you're like a, you know, like candle general haley b or something, it's just your like you are the product and having it out there and being doubted to millions of people is thing. But if you're, if you're like a celebrity that's not in that area, I'm like it's, you open yourself up to a lot of like viciousness on the internet for just not that much upside. Yeah, I feel like the main thing, the main upside is keeping relevant. Like it's, it's so crazy to me but and I don't know if this is truly what happened or if it's just it looks like what happened online but like haley beaver the other day
went to sushi park and she was dressed really cute and she had all like this sort of silk camisole and jeans and a herpel back in a barn and there's like wide aerial shots of her um telling the paparazzi we had a stand. And then she walked past them and they got the shot. Yeah and it's crazy to me because I you obviously know that those pap photos happen and and um a lot of the time when you see a celebrity looking good at it's a it's a pap photo but with that I was just like I just don't see what in what world haley beaver needs to be organizing paparazzi to stay relevant. Do you know what I like I feel like it's like those I reckon with that honestly that there's stuff like every time she's on the daily mail road sells like nine percent more lip losses like I reckon it's I think the machinery of it is literally I saw the create sorry this is a long winter tangent but
I promise it it ties back to this um I watched the craziest interview of John Stewart with this guy who's named my forgotten which I feel bad about because he's really smart. He's this guy who's written this book about like what's called algorithmic pricing and algorithmic wages and it's basically that what AI is doing or what companies have been trying to do now for a while but can do really effectively with AI is mine as much of your daughter as they can as possible and they will make the cost of things you buy online catered to you what they think you'll pay. So if they think you're like a dumb dumb like me and you who are impatient quick over pay for you want to mean like people with the low impulse control they'll literally charge you more because they know that like whatever and then people who are like more restrained conservative buyers but then it extends to like I don't know how much credit card debt you're in how much what area you live in how often you buy stuff and
then the wage thing is even more sinister where they basically said that employee employers are getting hold of like a lot of really detailed information on applicants and are basically offering algorithmic wages based on like their desperation index so like they know if you're super in debt and like have a low university like sorry a low like qualifications they're just gonna offer less to do the same job so apparently uber started by doing this where they switched out like when we used to be that the uber driver just got paid what we pay them and uber took a small cut and then at some point in the last few years it changed because uber wasn't profitable so that the driver has to has 20 seconds to accept a fair not knowing how far it will be not knowing how much traffic there is not knowing anything they just accept a flat fair and if there's any surge pricing if you change the address that's why uber's drivers get really upset when you
change the address now because they accept a flat fair and whatever you do from then on with uber that doesn't come through to them oh my god great so I got an uber home from my friends that's where I party on Saturday night and it was it was the other side of the city so it was I think it came up as 60 like eight dollars or something and then I was almost home and Alex was like meet me at this bar around the corner which was like five minutes from the house and I cheered and I was like do you mind if I change the address and he was being like kind of funny and then I went to change it and it was gonna add 30 more dollars to drop me five minutes further and it went over or went over and that's why he would have been annoying it's so I actually think I was like I'm going home but these things are like a moral like it's crazy like there was this thing recently that I can't stop thinking about and I like really try to never get uber roots or deliver who now they're apparently in the UK a bunch of the uber roots and delivery drivers like go like live are unhoused like think and that because that's
how little money they make and but they're like just given the equipment by delivery and and uber roots. Fucking hell. It's so it's like absolutely insane but anyway that's a long way to say that the level of algorithmic data people have now is like a horrifying Haley Veevich that these people should be doing Pepsi. I swear they literally will have down to the number like you have to do for pap walks a month here here and like they'll be they will probably inherit like deliverables to ELF when she sold the business. No totally yeah where her skin looks perfect and juie and she looks fresh yeah honestly. She's probably wearing some color that's like soft launching the next fucking thing like it's crazy. No you're completely right because I was kind of like I don't understand how she needs to stay relevant and I do also know that that obviously celebrities have affiliations with brands and they need to be seen wearing the brand stuff or like it's good
for them to be seen wearing the brand stuff to keep the contracts going or whatever but yeah I didn't think about the fact that yeah she probably literally steps out of the house and people are like look at her skin I need to buy some more road. Yeah that's a lot of pressure. What'd you say? It's a lot of pressure for her. I think she's okay. She's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. I saw her at um Billie Eilish's brother's wedding and I was on her Instagram account and I was like what a gorgeous girl. I know also how gorgeous is Billie Eilish's brother's bride Claudia. I know he's stunning. She's just a vague video. I was like how many of these fucking videos am I just gonna watch? I just love to appear. I'm like I know I just watched the whole thing too long waiting for you. She's such a beautiful girl. I really I love her you know I've met her once. She's just like friendly, lovely. She deserves the world. I'm happy for her.
Yeah I also love stunning like breathtakingly stunning. I was like um very very aware of the colour brown that her hair was. I really liked it. Yeah yeah yeah. Just like a deep brown not super dark. Nice deep brown. Yeah. And uh she wore Oscar Diller into she wore a really beautiful drop waist sort of princessy gown. Um very big like they added volume around her waist when it come when it what was the word when it kind of came out of the tip the bottom um and this cute little scarf run her neck and her hair pull back. I think she looked really gorgeous. Billie Eilish officiated. She looks very sweet. Her green. Yeah they always pop a bright like they always pop a girl in them. Always a nice. I'm like made of honors and bridesmaids and
they're always in some sort of I want to have green. I want to get married and have bridesmaids just to like fuck with you guys. Yeah I was gonna say what are you gonna put me in? I just feel like it would be fun to be like like I just want to be like super like tranny about it and be like you all have to wear this and you all have to stamp beside me in these photos and just like make it make it a joke but like on each side. Yeah literally I want to do like old photos like that. That's actually really cute. I wanted us to do it like that us for us skiing down in mountain. I know but I'm getting married in summer grace. Okay wait wait wait wait wait wait we've done we've jumped four five steps and actually let my dad in. Sorry it's like a fucking zoo in here today. Okay I know people are gonna be like wait what? Yeah. Yeah. Hmm. Well. There's nothing to know. There is nothing to know I just we're gonna get married
at some point. Um and I just like sit in Utah. Yeah but I sit as a joke. Yes, today I go are you gonna propose there as a joke and he goes well I fucking was and now I'm not and I was like fuck. Easy. Yeah so and I go just do it because now I'll think you're not gonna do it because we had this conversation. He was like just shut up like literally stop talking you're pissing me off. Yeah. So hard not to do you're like I'm just gonna be relaxed. I mean you know my story. Yeah I don't know if I'm willing to share this. This might be a Patreon source. That's really it honestly. It's like it's like quite to range but that's a sad face though. Let's do it on the Patreon. Oh do it on the Patreon sorry. I just um because yeah. Yeah. It's weird because it's like it's just it's about a surprise. It's honestly just about the element of surprise. That's what does my head in. Yeah I don't like surprise. I'm so I'm realizing I'm realizing more
and more how much of a control freak I am. Like be like it's beyond like Alex was like he goes do you know that every time I like suggest we do something you your your first response is that you don't want to do it and he's like it's because and he's like it's because I suggested it and you haven't had control over like the idea or the plan and then it takes me a second to come round to it. Like I'm like I don't know I just want to be the like I just want to be in control. He's like I feel like I'm like constantly having to be like this is gonna be fun and then I end up having fun but I just want to I just want to know I want to be like in control of what my win-signite is going to look like. Yeah interesting. I think I'm like pathologically in the other direction where I've like had to learn recently how to even be in tune with what I want. Yeah you know like I'm always like let's go wherever let's do what you know and you do that enough and you're like I'm just never doing things I'm choosing. I'm just going at the wind. I'm going to the wind. Chalk and chase. It's so funny.
Okay exciting yeah okay so summer matching you could do like an ombre effect of different shades like that. It's gonna be an ombre effect everyone's gonna have on the same little strappy sandals and you're all gonna be holding ugly flowers and I'm in control of your hair and now it'd be fun for like a roast but you guys can wear whatever you want but I do think I was like thinking the other day and I was like I do want to maybe bring back bridesmaids because I do think they've gone out of fashion. They have gone out of fashion. I have to say I in my perspective which I had a little just a bit more of an official bridesmaids. I was too not sure what. And I think it was more like this is like the most you thing ever but it's more like because you didn't have official bridesmaids. Obviously like fades made of honor like me and Tilly like encates super close and around but it was more like um they're going to be getting ready for
your wedding because we didn't have shit at the ha- like it was like everyone gets really everyone got ready separately and then you were just like I'm by myself. I was like should I'm coming like do you know what I mean? Yes yes. It's like but yeah it's um funny how they've gone out of fashion. It is like so weird doing it but like well I guess it's we're choosing your favorite friends and you have to have like the same amount of favorite friends as your partner. Yeah yeah yeah that's like that's funny that's the like walking down together is so cute you have to do that. No I wanted to have to and I'll be like paired with one of Alex's friends. Yeah and then you guys have to burst. Yeah they're more burst later on. It is so funny even like the bridesmaid thing is so funny like we're I'm doing like a hens at the moment and I'm like I find that the dynamics in the group chat just so funny. Oh my god you actually getting it. No way it's it sounds like I get served these like this woman right always it's if people reading out like text from they're like either from their mum group or from like crazy bridesmaids trips where they're
like everyone must wear this color tonight and and if you're wearing a different color including oh they said everyone must wear silver and if you're wedding band is gold you have to take it off. And people lose their fucking marbles around this stuff it's really fun. I know and then um there was another one where this woman got really angry because one kid from the the class brought Oreos as her snack and so she's seen in the mum group that no one's allowed to bring Oreos and he brought was like um like you can't control it. Yeah. Where the her special daughter gets Oreos and yours doesn't. But then I also do feel like sorry for the girl. But yeah it is like fucking you know like I already feel that now and I'm sure people feel about me but like you're just trying to get your kid to do something then there's just that one parent that's like a fuck it have Oreos for lunch and then you're like okay so now I have to like explain everything else they have going on. Yeah totally. I also grace um okay wait this sounds bad to
Eli but in his but he is like far too young for me to like talk to him. But now that my god sons are like 11 and 8. I was like having 11. He's so fucking cute. I was like having a boy is so cool. They were it was 7.30 in the morning like literally 7.30 a.m. in New Zealand and I was out shooting hoops with the younger one. I was like this is so fun. Being around boys is like where I'm out just out and about constantly yeah because they're just tearing around like outside in nature. I was thinking I know there are a lot of like sporty girls who like do activities but to go back to the thing we talked about about men knowing about history. Like a good vibe to be out in the great outdoors. Yeah totally. Tearing a little heart out. Yeah you know definitely more tiring in terms of like verse looking after my gorgeous friends girl who just
who literally she'll be like can we put on Ariel and I'm like yes and then we watched the little mermaid and I like nap and go on the real real and this was like this was literally he was like his mom Ash was like just leave as he she's sleeping and I was like what's up I was like in bed and he's like can we play basketball at 7.30 before we went to school I was like yeah so cute. Oh anyway um all right girls we're gonna go but we will see you on lip-pick surround you all be cried bye
