1:19Welcome back one and all to another day another week here at The Damage Board. I'm John Arola and that's it. Just me. We're supposed to have someone else. They're not here. It's fine. We're going to figure it out. I'm enough. Am I not enough America? But anyway, I'm very glad to have you here. We're coming off of a big holiday weekend. I hope that you enjoyed it. I got to spend a lot of time with my daughter. She's very fun. She's talking more and more. And some of the things she says to me even make sense. So it's an exciting time at my household. It's an exciting time for America. Not only because wars every way you look, but also the midterms. Rapidly approaching. Don't look now. They're coming right at you. And the consequences to the Republicans for their terrible mismanagement of our government and our economy. Coming too. So lots of exciting stuff to talk about in today's show. Can you explain to the American people if this is not a war, what exactly is it? Well, I'll tell you what, a lot of people don't call it a war. I call it a military conflict because it's small potatoes for us.

2:21It's not a big thing. We did Venezuela. And we did this. And Venezuela will lost nobody and this will lost 18 people. Yeah, and the 18 people that you lost, you just described as small potatoes. Great little funny line in the last Spider-Man movie. Not so great when it's the commander in chief being like, get off my back, who the hell cares? 18 people. I don't even remember their names, what's the difference? So yeah, but there is a difference between Venezuela and Iran. Venezuela, I got a lot of issues with a lot of the fallout out of it. I got a lot of issues with that was one day. This is many, many one days, lots of them, actually months of them back to back mind you. It's a very long conflict. It continues and you apparently have no plan to end it. I don't even think you're trying to end it right now. There's no negotiations. And you're insulting us by besmirching the lives of those that you sacrificed for this stupid war that nobody supports. And so look, I'm frustrated.

3:22I know that he's frustrated too. And I know that because I checked his true social over this last weekend. And he is comforting himself with his digital binky that is AI slap. There's a lot of it. Here's one example. Yeah, Donald Trump is portraying himself as the green lantern using of course AI slap. I mean, I know that he's a billionaire. They could easily hire someone to make that and pay an artist for their work. No, they're doing the AI slap thing again. And I love almost every aspect of that. I love the imagery of him using the ring of power to make American manufacturing come

4:25back seemingly because his stupid tariffs haven't been able to accomplish it. Seems like a big tell that now you need magic to make it happen. But of course, the biggest issue is the idea that he's a defender against evil. That's what the green lantern is. They stand between evil and us defenders, except he's a defender of the Epstein class, and that's the funny thing about it is that you're trying to help elite pedophiles get away with what they're doing. But okay, I know that we're not supposed to talk about Epstein or whatever. We're supposed to just move on with our lives and pretend that it's normal that we haven't gotten any more documents in like six months and never going to find out what happened between Donald Trump and that 13 year old girl. And I guess we're just moving on with our lives. Okay, let's talk about current topical news. I was on a run. Let's go back to a run. So he's the green lantern, right? He stands against evil. It's weird because when you look at this war, there's a whole lot of evil. Makes me wish we had an actual green lantern. Maybe John Stewart, I don't know. Let's talk about some of the evil. So the Pentagon is now investigating the high likelihood they're calling it that an

5:29explosion in southern Iran that destroyed a home hosting a wedding. Yeah, that was our bomb. We tried to drop it on a nearby target and we just messed and we just killed a bunch of civilians again, was blew up a wedding again. And Donald Trump has ignored that, denied it. He was never going to admit it. Real green lantern behavior right there. Now bear in mind it's consistent though, because when we murder dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of Iranian school girls, they never owned up to that either. Green lantern stuff. That's blow up some girls and just move all of your life. Hey, Grock made me look like a hero, everyone. Or the dead school girls. But let's turn now to the wedding. More evidence is coming out. The strike on the home, which Iranian officials said killed at least four civilians and injured dozens more, was part of a larger wave of attacks on Tuesday in southern Iran. Attacks by the way, not in the middle of a war because it's not a war. It's a military conflict. U.S. forces launched an air strike in the coastal town of Kuhestok that targeted a communications

6:33complex. Target it didn't seem to hit it though. The explosion killed at least two women and two children between four and 16 years old. And it injured more than 90 other people. You know, because a bomb fell in the middle of a wedding, just like picture a wedding that you've seen in your life and then imagine a bomb going off in the middle of it. That's what we did, whether we ever own up to it or not. Now the officials are saying, well, I mean, it could have been something else. Maybe an air defense missile fell out of the sky. Yeah, maybe that's what it is. Maybe we were targeting the thing next to the wedding and we didn't miss it. An air defense missile that fell and then exploded on the ground in the middle of it. That's probably what it was. Now this might make you remember that Donald Trump tried to imply that a run had hit the school of girls with their own Tomahawks that they totally have and use. This is the sort of pathetic infantile avoiding responsibility that is very characteristic.

7:37Almost core to the identity of Donald Trump and Maga, not a big part of the canon of Green Lantern though. I'm not a big DC guy. I am watching the HBO series. They seem to take their ethics and responsibilities very seriously. And I'm not seeing that with Donald Trump, but that's only the beginning of the evil. There's more evil. As we showed you that video of Donald Trump saying it's not a war. It's not a war, which he's only saying because he doesn't want the War Powers Act to be invoked. And the Senate is so pathetic that they're letting him play this little game, this little charade or whatever. But it is a war, but he's not calling it a war and that is significant actually. You know who it's significant for? These small potatoes soldiers who died and their families because the Pentagon apparently is refusing payouts for soldiers who die in the Iran conflict, quote, because it isn't a war. And that could be very frustrating, I imagine. I mean, imagine your spouse, your son, your father is in the military. And Donald Trump gets elected and maybe you like it, maybe you don't, but you think

8:39to yourself, well, at least my spouse is going to be okay, you know, because he doesn't want to start wars, right? Remember that lie that he told us? And then he starts a stupid war. Then he refuses to acknowledge that it is a war, even though he keeps declaring victory, which is the thing you do at wars. You don't multiple times declare victory in a military engagement or conflict or whatever. But he doesn't want to admit it, so you don't get paid. And so Libby Kleiner is a widow who lost major Alex Kleiner, 33 year old husband in this war that we're in. And she said, my husband lost his life because we're in a war. And then I was told that because it's not technically a war, we lose out on something. It all comes down to principle. But this experience made clear to me is how difficult it can be for a grieving family to navigate classifications, terminology, and government processes at the very moment. We're at least equipped to do so. And shouldn't have to do so, let's be very clear about that. You should not be having to deal with any of this. Small potatoes, he says. It's 18 people.

9:39I think that's a lot. He thinks it's none. Okay, pay her, Jackass. You have billions of dollars. You made billions of dollars last year. Even if you had zero cents, the beginning January 1st, 2025, you made billions, give her $10 million. Small potatoes. And he'd even do a press conference. He could make himself look good or whatever. He could monetize the experience for himself for his own popularity. But he doesn't care. Do you think that he knows who Libby Kleiner is? Do you think he knows who major Alex Kleiner is? Do you think he could name one of the, like seriously, I'm not joking. Who would do this? Colin Collins, you're good at your job. I want you at a press conference. The next press conference you're asked at asking to name one of the soldiers who died in Iran. Any one of them, just their first name. Any one of them. And watch him squirm and sweat there because he doesn't know because he doesn't care green

10:42lantern. He is evil in almost every way that a politician can be evil. And the damage continues to mount. But that's one war. We're in other forms of war as well. Let's jump into this. Canada said they would and they are now fighting back against Donald Trump's trade war. New Canadian tariffs targeting roughly $20 billion in US imports officially snapped into place today. They're now active. They said they were going to do it. They're doing it. This range from 15 to 50% that of course being the level that Donald Trump put a new a bunch of new tariffs on. It targets things like American milk, perfume, video game consoles, golf clubs, fishing rods, steel, aluminum jackets and t-shirts. So wide variety of different consumer goods. Those last ones will face 50% tariffs. Cheese carpets and certain household appliances like stoves and air conditioners will be subject to 25% tariffs. Forklifts and industrial molds will face 15% tariffs. So clearly Canada is not backing down.

11:42I guess the idea was that they would. Don't Trump would just throw his way around and then they'll just do whatever he says. But that's not what they're doing. Donald Trump people are not scared of you. They're not impressed by you. They don't respect you. They mock you. And he can't make them do what he wants, but you know what he can do. It's the running theme of today's show. He could post online. So he posted this. Get up governor. You see, he hit a foreign leader knocked him down. Now he's on the ground in a sport that Trump definitely could play. And if he were to try to skate, it wouldn't be one of the most embarrassing things in his life or anything. Because he's an athletic man. He's an alpha male. So he knocked him down. He says, get up governor. You get it? Because he's not the prime minister of Canada. He's the governor because we have so much power over them except just in the form of true social posts, not like interactual trade negotiations. We can't seem to get anything we want in the real world through carrots or sticks.

12:42Nothing works. He won't even try the carrot. The stick doesn't work. But don't worry. Natalie Harp, she printed out something for him. It's a little cartoon. She made it on chat GPT or whatever makes him feel much better among other things. And so what is he doing? Okay, so he's now threatening to bar Canadian aircraft mania factor bombardier from selling its planes in the US. This is very important to him, very near and dear to his heart because he's in the Epstein class. So private jets are all he knows. Does he know though? You bring up the message again. Does he know that the company employs hundreds of workers in Kansas, which isn't exactly a like Royal blue, commie stronghold? He says no more selling bombardier in US. Their products aren't good enough. They make the products you jackass 500 people work at their headquarters in Wichita. I guess they suck at their job. All of those maga people working in Kansas or whatever.

13:42Trubbs not impressed with the work you do. He says the era of unfairness is over. If they won our capital M market, they must build here and stop treating America like a piggy bank by American flying American Airlines, enjoy American liquor and beverages. Sail on Lake America, America first. Yeah, but it's like, okay, so now you're posting another meme, except that we're in the meme cinematic universe where this meme references a past one. This one will not improve our position. The last one didn't objectively. They still did the tariffs that you were trying to threaten them away from doing. And this is going to do even more damage. We keep profiling all of the ways that sure this war is going to hurt Canada, but it's also going to hurt us. Here's one way. Bombardier supply chain includes about 28 hundred distinct US companies across 47 states. Among other things, wings for its business jets are made in Texas.

14:44Flight control components are produced near LA. Hey, they're local. And they said Bombardier values. It's great partnership with American companies and its US employees. Our plan is to continue to invest in our people, our customers and the communities in which you operate across the country. And that's what they said publicly. And I'm sure privately they're like, what the hell did we do to get involved with literally any of this? And nobody can explain. Nobody can predict who's going to get drawn into it next because all of this is the deranged, demented flailings of a degrading falling apart man who looks out at a world that he no longer has any influence over, but he desperately needs to feel strong and he needs to project strength and memes can only do so much. He will do economic harm to them to have a sense of strength once again, but the issue is that you cannot harm them in a way that does not catch countless American individuals, corporations and states in the crossfire. We have been telling you this entire time that that's going to happen.

15:46This is just the latest example. And Bombardier, I feel bad for the companies that are going to lose out on business if they can't buy the jets or whatever. I feel bad for the employees who I don't know might lose their jobs theoretically in Kansas. What if Mark Carney decides, okay, you want to bring Bombardier into this? We're going to hurt him. We're going to make them do know US headquarters or whatever. But bear in mind, that is just one tiny little sliver of the damage that's going to be done from this war. With all those different product categories, you know why I said it's targeting $20 billion in US imports? It ain't going to be $20 billion in US imports. Thanks to the tariffs, there's going to be much less trade there. They're going to be about by less of our products. We're going to buy less of theirs. We're not going to sell as much. Donald Trump just made his Treasury Secretary look like a massive idiot during his latest unhinged AI Slopfest online. See, a few months ago, Scott Bessent was questioned, but Donald Trump's stock trading and how it's clearly corrupt. He's using insider information to do individual stock purchases and sales to benefit himself constantly. Being tied to tariffs going up or going down, the war starting or seemingly ending, he's not at constantly. That's how he's making a big portion of his money. So here is what Bessent said at the time to try to defend Donald Trump for these accusations. You and I agree that it is a conflict of interest for members of Congress to trade stocks. Do you also agree that it's a conflict of interest for President Trump to trade stocks?

17:52A couple of things Senator, one, President Trump is not sitting in the oval office, engaging on high frequency trading strategy. Clearly he had an outside manager who was doing that. Yeah, and he couldn't call them or something. He couldn't be like, hey, I'm about to tweet something that's going to juice the stock price or hey, the US is going to buy a bunch of a company. He couldn't have communicated with him Scott Bessent if he isn't individually doing it. But so that was stupid to begin with. And Donald Trump, I have to imagine that from the sheer specificity of the way he's making Scott Bessent look like a doink, that he watched that and then went to Grocken and was like, how do I make this guy look like a jackass? Because Scott Bessent's defense was Trump's not like sitting in the oval office doing it. And Trump's like, hold my Bloomberg terminal. And so he post this. I do this for our country, not myself. I've made hundreds of billions of dollars on stocks and many other, many other type holdings.

18:57I don't, something's missing there for the USA, not myself. And all I do is get criticized by the radical left Democrats. Very unfair, but what can you do? Well, what you can do is continue to engage in corrupt acts that personally benefit yourself and your family and your corporation. But yeah, really fast, I apologize. Go back to that. It's him in the oval office trading the stock. Now obviously it's not real. But he didn't need to put that. Is he just trying to make Scott Bessent look like a doork? I don't know. But I love the idea that Donald Trump, a guy who has been so left behind by technology or whatever, that he has a human printer printing out memes for him because he can't look at the screen or whatever. He has her doing his tweeting or whatever. He tried to send a text message to Pam Bondy and he accidentally blasted it out to truth social. Remember that. And yeah, yeah, yeah, he's got four monitors or whatever on his desk. And but the one thing that's accurate about it is that the font has to be so big that

20:00only like now 95 takes up a whole monitor. I guess that's because his vision is going. I don't know. I feel like he's mocking himself in this. The thing is he is trying to pretend that the criticism there is about his government investment in Intel or whatever, which is already a weirdly sort of socialistic thing that he's doing. It's so strange that the right doesn't problem with it. And then that gained money. That's the stock trading. No, you massivity it. That's not the criticism we're doing. We're talking about your individual stock trading. Now maybe those things are more tied together than we think because he said, I've made hundreds of billions of dollars on stocks and many other type holdings. I don't think anyone knows exactly what he's talking about there. They did purchase shares in some corporations. Is that the stocks you don't, what are the other holding like I literally don't know. Maybe he's indicating that there are other corrupt acts that we don't even know about. But I am content to just criticize him for his personal stock trading using privilege

21:01information. The most obvious insider trading that has ever existed in the history of stock exchanges. Scott Bessett knows it, Donald Trump knows it, Elizabeth Warren knows it, you and me, you're granny and you're auntie know it, everybody knows it. But nothing is going to be done at least until the Senate changes control and there can be actual investigations. Very little will be done at that point because I don't imagine that the White House is going to be playing ball with the separation of powers and all that checks and balances. That said, hypothetically, he's not going to be president always. Maybe at that point we can get him on some of this stuff. I can't wait to see the Supreme Court decision that says that his alerting his financial manager to tweets is about to put out is him doing his duties as a president. But don't worry, I'm sure they'll come up with something. In any event, he really did go on a slap-ender. I'm not going to show you a ton of it. I can't take it honestly. But he posted over 40 posts in a 10-hour period on Sunday before starting again on Monday.

22:0440, I don't know if I have posted 40 posts on social media in the last four months. He did it on Sunday as president golfing at one of his golf courses with a big ass family. He's got corruption to do and he put up 40 tweets. You know what I did yesterday? I hung out with my daughter. That's what I did. I bonded with the next generation of Iterolas. I don't know if I posted anything online. And that's what he spent time doing. Now, looking at his defense, it's important stuff that he was tackling, like his fantasies about renaming New Mexico to New America. But you wouldn't name it New America inside of America, you jackass. The new blank naming convention is when it's in a new place. That's what it means. Like is he even thinking about it? Or does he not know? Is he literally just looking for Mexico or Canada on a map to find a thing to rename? Those are American citizens, many of them Republicans.

23:07I think they like the name of their state. I don't think they want it to be named. He used to have an ability to control these distractions and stuff like that. There was like almost a savvy. It was like an immature savvy, but he had it. Not so much anymore. This sort of reminds me to land on this. So like whether you like him or you hate him, Dennis on always sunny has a certain charm when it comes to ladies. But there's a scene where he talks to a woman at a fantasy football event over Chile. And he demonstrates that he just doesn't have it anymore. And I feel like the New America thing is Donald Trump talking about his sister farting too much. 24:52You could pretend just on this one day to give a damn about people who are not members of the Epstein class. They'll fly around on private jets. But no, unfortunately he's not interested in doing literally any of that. Even for one post. Here is what he put on social for Labor Day. Happy Labor Day at all, including the radical left lunatics, the sort of people that got you Labor Day. Communist and Democrats who will do anything positive in this dryer country. These deranged people after fighting for 10 years should finally acknowledge that your favorite president, me, thank you for the reminder, I didn't know which one you meant. Knows how to win. They should be exhausted by now, but sadly they're not. They're going to give it one last shot at ruining America, but we're not going to let that happen. We're going to win the midterms, big and save America. Okay, so minimal points that he did at least say happy Labor Day. That is something. There's a lot of holidays, mainly the ones that he shares with Melania because they're marriage that he often forgets to even acknowledge on social media. So I guess that's good.

25:52But yeah, that's the only points that he gets because there's nothing there about struggles of workers. What workers are asking for, what they deserve, all that they've produced, how they've made America the place that it is. It's about him. I'm great, I'm your favorite president. I'm going to win, win, win. It's all about me. A guy who's never done an honest day's work in his life is taking this one holiday. This one minimal, shallow acknowledgement of the fact that we made America what it is, and he's instead making it about himself. And I think it's kind of like a bold thing to do considering what workers think about Donald Trump these days, but don't just take my word for it, take a look. He was trusted more than Harris by 20 points on the economy, but look at his net approval rating now amongst those who are employed full time. It is 41 points underwater, way down there we go down into the Hudson River. We're talking about a switcheroo in the wrong direction of 61 points on this Labor Day.

26:57We're talking about those fully employed and how they view Trump in the economy. It is not a happy Labor Day indeed for President Trump. Yeah, well, I mean, in terms of the polling perhaps again, he spent at golfing like he is a billionaire. He's robbed his followers blind, he's committed corrupt acts, he's taking money from to the American Bank. I think it's happy enough for him. He didn't have to work. He barely works at all. But anyway, let's also acknowledge that we might have had a happy day in that maybe some of us didn't have to work. But previously Trump has said, like over the weekend, whatever fans have said, he's like we have too many holidays. But you're saying that on the weekend of Labor Day, I think I know which one you're talking about. There's a lot of reasons that workers are mad at Donald Trump. Him insulting them is probably low on the list. I think mainly it's that he's wrecked the economy, that they put him in office to fix the problems that we had. Inflation, stagnant wages, a job market that could certainly be stronger hadn't yet fully recovered from the pandemic. And instead, it's worse than it was when he got inaugurated.

28:01And that's just not just me saying it. That is the worker saying it. If we bring up a screenshot, is it a good time to find a quality job? In 2024, Q4, when the election happened, bad was it 54%. That produced a change in party control of the White House. And now it's 72%, it's way worse than it was. That means that there are real problems. We've shown you the jobs numbers month over month. Now, yes, this last month, there was okay jobs numbers. Remember, this is the first month where the new plant that Trump put in the BLS is in charge of those numbers. So who the hell knows if it's really representative of anything at this point, but it has been for a year and a half really bad. That's what people are frustrated about. And what is Donald Trump doing on a day when maybe he could be inspired to pretend he cares about the affordability crisis or jobs or wages or whatever. He's posting AI slap like we said, he's trying to rename New Mexico. None of that solves any of our actual problems. But to be clear, I did not come here just to criticize Donald Trump.

29:03That's why I came to work today for the most part that's kind of what the show is. But that's not what I did this video for. I want to show that there is another way to do things. And it was actually demonstrated on Labor Day by Zoran Mamdani. You know what he did on the holiday? He didn't talk about how great Zoran is. We're going to win, win, win. He created the first in the nation office of worker power. He says to put the full weight of city hall behind the people who keep New York running. The nurse working a double shift. The teacher working a second job. The warehouse workers organizing for a union. Every New Yorker working hard to build a life and support a family. On Labor Day, we honor the workers who came before us by fighting for the workers who came next. That is not just objectively a better message for a political leader to put out on a holiday like Labor Day. That is what populism is supposed to be. Everybody just says, whatever Trump does, I guess that's populism. Bragging about yourself, talking about private jets is populism. People really need to rethink these definitions. So this is what it is. Using government power to benefit actual workers to acknowledge their struggles to solve

30:07their problems or at least try, provide them a little bit of aid in dealing with those problems. And that's what he is aiming to do. He says, this is the first of its kind office in the country and we're setting it up to help workers organize an economy where more and more is stacked against them. He says, well, you utilize city government to help workers organize themselves and build power to improve their working conditions and their lives. Helping them organize, giving them information about their rights and those sorts of things. A central trustworthy point of contact to help them retake what is there just share in an economy. That's what he chose to do on Labor Day. Donald Trump said, hey, everybody shut up about not liking me. I'm your favorite president. Shut the hell up about it. The economy is great and I'm going to maintain control over everything. A wonderful way to acknowledge the holiday. So you probably saw the news that Democratic gubernatorial nominee Amy Akden was attacked at a local fair near Youngstown, Ohio. We are still getting initial details from this, but they say that an armed individual, I believe they had a taser and two guns, I think they said, a tactor on Sunday at the Canfield Fair near Youngstown, according to our campaign in the state highway patrol.

32:11The 38 year old suspect, Patrick Havis, knocked over multiple people at the fair while trying to reach Akden, that's according to the Ohio state highway patrol. Havis had a taser and two pistols, yes, so I was right about that. Before you can see a photo of him right here. Now, the good news is that he did not actually shoot Akden, that's good news. Now there were people who were injured in the mania and Amy Akden pulled a class act. She's actually a physician. So she stayed to help people who had been injured in it. So that's awesome, you love to see it. And thank God that it wasn't or as it could have been. I could have pulled his two guns and started firing. So thankfully that didn't happen. We don't yet know. And I've seen evidence that he's a Republican that would make sense. It's going to take more time for us to know exactly what he might have posted online if he had a motivation, if he's just out of his mind or if he's out of his mind and had a motivation. I don't know. Here's what she said coming out of the event. Yes, we had a rough day yesterday. I'm so thankful for our first responders and our state highway patrol and everyone who

33:14helped out the people who were injured and our prayers are with them. But see, I am a fierce warrior in this fight and that's exactly why I'm running. Okay, so by the way, let's acknowledge she's got to be pretty shaken, right? Like her mind is producing other ways that could have gone, that that could have pulled a gun. She's going to be scared probably rightfully so going to events in the future. Other candidates in the cycle are going to be scared. So good that she put out a strong statement like that, but also understand that she's probably pretty shaken and her family and friends are going to be shaken. The staff is probably scared of the events too. So that's I think using a little bit of compassion, a little bit of empathy, my attempt to understand how these people actually feel based on what appeared to have happened. The right is reacting to it in a different way. Now, if what appears to be a Republican, carried a couple of guns and then rushed at a democratic nominee for office, how do you think the right has responded to that? Do you think that they thought, hmm, maybe we should be careful. The way we talk about things, we said that the left should do that even though they don't talk in the blood, there's the way that we do. So maybe we should take our own advice.

34:15No, there's no acknowledgement they might have gone too far constantly talking about the tree of liberty needing to be watered with the blood of tyrants and all of that. Second amendment solutions to problems and all that. No, there's just a clearing to false like that's what it is. It didn't actually happen. So Eric Doherty posted this. It's got an alarm at the beginning of it. You know what's serious? Just in update, Amy Acton is now being accused of grossly exaggerating a so-called attack of the attack. And Ohio Ferry yesterday after she was seen possibly drunk and slurring her words before the incident. Let's pause for a second there. What I love about this is his update is that she's being accused of that. That's what this post is. You're accusing her of that. Don't try to like create a layer of journalistic objectivity. You're the jackass doing the thing that you're citing in the post. Anyway, the suspect has only been charged with a soul and disorderly conduct. Police say he did not brandish or touch any weapons, but was instead holding up a phone.

35:16And there appears to be absolutely zero videos or photos of this attack. Okay, so did it happen or not? Because this guy is implying that the entire thing is made up. That's fake. But then he says, okay, he assaulted her, but he didn't hold the gun. That's not scary. A guy with multiple guns didn't draw. That's not scary at all. And there's no video, but you're saying that he did it, that he attacked her just not with the gun. These people are so deranged. It's probably not even a person. It's probably about anyway, why am I engaging with it? Anyway, he says and they want to make the right out to be violent and call this an assassination attempt. You're engaging in baseless speculation before we know the full details. You know what alternate way you can do that? You can cite what has been provided thus far and then say let's pump the brakes and figure out what's actually going on. And you know who did that? Me two and a half minutes ago, I did it. I'm not immediately being like, every right way, every right way, every right way. You're the one doing that except you're doing it on the wrong side of the issue. Okay, your side is the one that appears to have rushed a candidate with a couple of pistols.

36:19So maybe just put the brakes slow down a little bit and let's see what's actually going on here. And then now that he's done his speculation while implying that it's other people that are doing it, he then says distraction tactic for sympathy votes. And this mere Republicans as violent just like the far left is, you have made up a scenario in your mind, made up a motivation for the scenario. And now you're declaring it to be true before you have any information to inform literally any of this. But don't worry, he does have this. He cited Laura Loomer. So the idea is that she sounds drunk. The candidate, not Laura Loomer. Well also Laura Loomer. Have you ever heard Laura Loomer and she didn't sound like she'd been drinking? Come on. So the idea is, I see what it is. Okay, so she showed up at this event and then she's drunk. She's an irresponsible candidate. This is going to look bad for us. I mean, she is drunk, but we're the AIDS. We got to save her. Okay, everybody, find a guy.

37:20Given two pistols have rusher, have them get arrested. His life is over. This is my on the spot, audible I'm calling to save her from her drunkenness. Or what is it that she's frequently drunk so they just have a guy waiting in case they need to rush her with pistols in a tazer? This is a serious, ostensibly, a serious speculative proposal about what actually happened. Is it they were on the ball like we need an assassination attempt to distract from the fact that she sounds drunken? Since she doesn't, by the way, and Laura Lumer has repeatedly been exposed to slow down video to make people sound like they're drinking. By the way, Laura, you want to pay attention to Pete Hegseth for a little bit, see how he sounds? Hmm, Donald Trump sounds pretty sorry. I don't think Donald Trump is drunk. What's going on with him? They're not interested in that. They're interested in providing cover for, as far as we know, this wasn't an actual assassination attempt. And they don't give an Iota a quantum of a damn about that. Immediately, it's we have to defend the guy who might have been trying to murder our political

38:24opponent. That's what they're doing. They're running cover for a possible assassin. I'm not even saying that he was, I am actually comfortable waiting and finding out, but they are immediately leaping to his defense, unpaid PR by these monsters of somebody who might have been trying to kill someone that they disagree with. And by the way, it's not the only instance recently like this. A Fort Worth man was just charged with threatening to kill US Senate candidate James Tallerico. Now maybe it's just because he's worried about them losing a Senate seat. So he's like, I'll kill this pastor or whatever. Or I don't know, maybe it's the fact that this guy's been driven absolutely insane by Donald Trump and Laura Lumer and Fox News and Benny Johnson and all these people implying that James Tallerico is going to train your kids and steal your meat and then eat it and then throw up or something. You could talk like reasonable people about policy. You could do what we mostly try to do. I don't hold myself to as much of a standard as I do James Tallerico, but James Tallerico talks policy.

39:25That's what he talks about. He talks about he talked about goddamn economy talks about policy. John Aasuf talks policy. That's what we actually do. You're trying to imply that there's like a both sides going on here. Like sure, maybe we had a guy who tried to kill Amy Akten, but you guys are bad too. No, we're not actually. We don't talk in that way. We don't encourage political violence in that way. It's just you guys. You guys have always had the problem. You guys evidently in this cycle continue to have the problem. There's going to be more of this. I expect that it's going to get worse as the likelihood that they lose control of the House and possibly the Senate really dawns and more and more of Magga. And as they look out and see that Donald Trump is barely even trying to campaign, his presidency is an absolute failure. He's doomed us, but I can't actually acknowledge that. So I guess I got a grab in A or 15. That has been for a very long time, my main fear. More and more so as Donald Trump's rule becomes more tenuous, shakeier. They can see it about to end. I'm more and more worried about that.

41:41We love a good staffer, the staff does a lot of work. They work very hard on behalf of whoever they're working for. I don't know if that's quite fair to the American people though that unelected staffers are running the show for Senator Mitch McConnell. I think we've got to play it fair here. And notable, two months is a long time for her congressional ally. They're on the health of the same state. From the same state. Yeah. I'll say it. If he does not come back in September, he needs to step down. I'm not of this already. So that is good that they're pushing back 86 days into this. They're pushing back. But also, you could see how comfortable they were. Tommy Lawrence, it's unfair to put it on the staff. No, no, it's not unfair to put it on the staff. It's effing wild that you've disappeared for three months and you expect us to believe that that's cooler that we should be fine with that. Then the first guy was like he's been gone for two months, I don't believe it.

42:4286 days. What month? Two months, add up to 86 days. And then the tiebreaker for fifth place or whatever, forget her name. She's like, she's so uncomfortable. She's like, wait, this is Fox, are we allowed to Chris? I mean, I know Trump doesn't like McConnell, but we do still need him. And then the last guy, I don't remember his name. I don't think anybody on the panel did either. He was, he went to Harness, he said he should step down. So that's good. Unnamed guy. Thank you for saying that. And maybe they're being unfair though. Maybe they and I are being unfair because we are very close. We're one week away from James Comers, little September 14. I don't know if it's like a deadline or a prediction or whatever that Mitch will be back. Because his staff said that twice now. They've told James Comer, he will be back in DC doing his job. His heart is going to be pumping blood through his veins and his body's going to take an oxygen and then let out carbon dioxide or whatever. Like he's going to have an actual alive non-corp-sea trip to DC, not just lying in state, but lying

43:44on the Senate floor. And I'm on edge of my seat to find out, I really am. I think it would be the craziest outcome would be if he just like marches in. Maybe does like a little Willy Wonka roll. Like he's about to fall over, but then he jumps up and he's fine. How wild would it be if he was fine? But anyway, I don't think that it's likely to be the case. What I love about the James Comer video and I'll probably end on this is. So last week we covered him saying, I talked to his staffers and they said he'll be back. And he got a lot of criticism for that. Because like you're one of the leaders of the house and you talked to his staffers after 80 days. So then a week goes by and he's like, yeah, no, I talked to his staffers again. After that, you still just talked to the staffers. You were like, hey, could you put him on the phone for a second? Could a Mitch just scream if you're alive, buddy? Nothing. Nothing. That is freaking insane, okay? Come on James Comer.

44:44I mean, I know that your job is to lie and pretend that the insane things you say are reasonable and literally anyway. You did the whole hundred Biden five million dollars thing when Trump is breaking in billions of dollars and crypto scams and all that. But come on. You know that on the inside, Comer is at least as uncomfortable as everybody on that Fox News weekend panel was about this ridiculous charade anyway. And then finally, another weekend has gone by and they didn't even put out another photo. I don't even want the photo for proof of life anymore. They're just so charming. I just want to see one, the romance for the ages of him and Elaine Chow. I just want to reminder that love is still possible in this world. We've been on the couch just talking about how much we love this. I think this might be my favorite policy ever that Trump has brought. It's definitely a political winner. I see what the president is doing, but I think it's a terrible idea. Well, a little bit of a disagreement there on Fox and Friends with Campbell's Duffy,

45:49I'm going to say thinking that some policy, and I'll explain what it is, don't worry. Best thing that they've ever done better than tears, better than the Iran War, better than no woke or DEI or something. And then Lawrence Jones, a little bit uncomfortable about it. Why? Well, the policy they're talking about is Donald Trump's plan to extend federal childcare subsidies to families that have a stay at home parent. Now that is the most charitable way to describe that policy. I'll give you the truth of it in a minute. But basically the proposal, being championed by Vice President J.D. Vance, would allow some married couples with a stay at home parent to tap money from the $12 billion child care and development fund. The program currently helps low and moderate income parents afford childcare while they work, attend school, or receive job training. Under the draft rule, qualifying families could receive roughly $9,000 per child annually. And all of that sounds good so far, but I know something about this that's going to maybe color the way you look at this program and the way it's going to be run.

46:49And now I want to give you Lawrence Jones's opposition to it and bear in mind. He and I don't like this policy for about as different reasons as is possible to have, but let's start with him. The socialism, just give me the money. Just give me more of my money. I don't want you to just go. But you want just a tax, like a lower taxes. Just lower my taxes. I don't want all these programs. Again, I understand that this is a political winner in this new age of populism. But the government consistently choosing who they are going to give these tax benefits, instead of just giving us the money. And if you want that money to pay for lower childcare, then you can use that money for that. But for example, I would not fall in this category. I'm definitely going to pay for it. Instead of the government choosing what money and what you should do, just give me my money and not decide which different sectors they want to support. I'm so fascinated to hear, I'm like, wow, okay, let's see my hair.

47:54I'm so fascinated to hear the point you're making. Hold on everybody, you're sitting at home or you're on your phone or whatever, and they're like in suits and ties in a Fox News studio. And so you think, well, they're probably intelligent people and they're making new on interesting arguments. No, no, no. Lawrence Jones' entire point there was, hey, I don't like some of the things that the government does with money. They shouldn't do it. Then they just give me the money instead. That's the entire point that he was making is that he has discovered that there are some government programs that he doesn't personally benefit from. And so he would prefer if we don't pay for those so his taxes could be lower. Welcome to government, welcome to the arguments that are ongoing in every election about what the priorities of government should be. I got news for you, Lawrence Jones. You don't like that particular $12 billion program. Do you know what portion of the federal budget $12 billion is? Would you like to Google the cost of the United States military?

48:57Yeah, I have a bit of a problem. I don't want my tax dollars to go into blowing up Iranian school girls. Can I get my taxes lowered by us not doing that anymore? I don't think we should be subsidizing the fossil fuel industry. I don't think we should be subsidizing almost every corporation in America, which we are doing right now. There are a lot of different programs. The vast majority of which don't benefit me personally, make an argument against the policy, not just a general. I'd rather have money than not have it. Okay, that should not earn you a spot on cable news, a little bit of nuance, a little bit of understanding expertise or whatever I think would be preferable. But anyway, I did allude to the fact that I have a problem with this. Here's the problem I have with this. If you want to make money available to working families that have a stay at home parent, that is not necessarily a bad goal, especially with how expensive child care is. Okay, so maybe can't afford it. So what? So hard because we need two incomes.

49:57But like your income doesn't even pay for the child care. So okay, so you stay at home and then we get a little bit of money. That sounds good, right? That sounds good. So notice, they're not increasing the fund. They're not doubling how much the child care and development fund has and now allowing people with stay at home parents. No, no, no, they're just making it available to those people. The same amount of funding which used to only go to families where both the parents are working or it's single parent and they're working. Now is also going to be fought over by people of a stay at home parent. And again, I don't have any like ideological problem with a stay at home parent getting the money. But if you think they are a group that deserves it, haven't been getting it, increase it. Make it 20, make it 24, make it 50, whatever. Instead, you're simply saying, I don't want those people to get the money. I want these people to get the same dollars, you know why? Why would JD Vance be pushing this? Why is he all of a sudden cheaper than because he wants more women to not work and to stay

51:00home? He's social engineering, that's what this is. It's not also acknowledging those people. It's giving from the working Americans who are struggling to the state home ones. And by the way, let me just be clear, because there's less funding that's going to be going to people who are work and then that money goes to childcare to daycare or whatever, that means daycares around the nation are going to take a multi billion dollar hit from this. I don't know if you've like talked to a daycare or whatever, it is tough times right now, because the economy is so bad that many people can't afford to go to daycare anyway. So lots of daycares are shutting down. This is going to accelerate that by the way, which is going to provide even more of a burden for working families. But again, JD Vance doesn't give a damn about that because of the childcare places closed down. If there's even more demand for the fewer remaining ones and prices go up, then you know what, I guess you'll have to stay at home, won't you? Because it just won't be feasible for your salary to pay for the daycare.

52:01So both sides of this, on the funding side and on the ripple effects of it, is social engineering to produce the sort of gender roles that JD Vance wants to see in the world, even if economically, that is in no way sustainable for working Americans. So instead, I want to see some Democrats in 208 say, okay, yeah, no, we're going to allow state home parents to get access to this and we're going to make the fund $50 billion or we're going to make it $75 billion. And then there will be more than enough money to go around. Steal this away from JD Vance while stopping it from being used as nothing more than shameless, Christian nationalist pandering to social engineering. Okay, and fortunately we're way over.
