Ro: În mijlocul iernii, Bucureștiul era acoperit de zăpadă.
En: In the middle of winter, București was covered in snow.
Ro: Hotelul Internațional, de obicei plin de lumină și agitație, era acum în întuneric.
En: The Hotelul Internațional, usually full of light and bustle, was now in darkness.
Ro: Era Ziua Îndrăgostiților, dar pentru Andrei, un tânăr diplomat român, nu era timp de sărbătoare.
En: It was Valentine's Day, but for Andrei, a young Romanian diplomat, there was no time for celebration.
Ro: Întâlnirea diplomatică era la fel de importantă ca pacea într-o țară îndepărtată.
En: The diplomatic meeting was as important as peace in a distant country.
Ro: Într-o sală elegantă, diplomatul Mihai discuta cu miniștrii străini.
En: In an elegant room, the diplomat Mihai was discussing with the foreign ministers.

Ro: "Din holul hotelului, Andrei privea furtuna de afară.
En: From the hotel lobby, Andrei watched the storm outside.
Ro: Vântul suiera, iar zăpada înghețată se aduna în troiene mari.
En: The wind was howling, and the frozen snow was piling into large drifts.
Ro: Cu hotărâre, și-a înfășurat fularul în jurul gâtului și a ieșit afară.
En: With determination, he wrapped his scarf around his neck and went outside.
Ro: Aerul rece îl tăia, dar nu era timp de ezitare.
En: The cold air was cutting, but there was no time for hesitation.
Ro: Străzile erau goale, iar fulgii de zăpadă dansau în aerul întunecat.
En: The streets were empty, and the snowflakes danced in the dark air.
Ro: Andrei trebuie să găsească ajutor.
En: Andrei had to find help.
Ro: În depărtare, zărește un felinar aprins.
En: In the distance, he spotted a lit streetlamp.
Ro: În apropierea felinarului, un muncitor de la compania de electricitate repara un cablu.
En: Near the lamp, a worker from the electricity company was repairing a cable.
Ro: "Ai nevoie de ajutor?
En: "Do you need help?"

Ro: "Ce s-a întâmplat la hotel?
En: "What happened at the hotel?"
Ro: "Având încredere în muncitor, Andrei îi explică rapid despre defecțiunea generatorului.
En: Trusting the worker, Andrei quickly explained the generator's malfunction.
Ro: Muncitorul, neavând nevoie de mai multe explicații, își ia uneltele și îl urmează pe Andrei înapoi.
En: The worker, needing no further explanation, grabbed his tools and followed Andrei back.
Ro: Odată ajunși la hotel, Andrei conduce muncitorul în camera generatorului.
En: Once they reached the hotel, Andrei led the worker to the generator room.
Ro: După câteva momente de lucru, un sunet familiar de energie restabilește speranța.
En: After a few moments of work, a familiar sound of energy restored hope.
Ro: Luminile revin rând pe rând, iar sala de conferințe se luminează din nou.
En: The lights came back on one by one, and the conference room lit up again.
