En: In the Tatry mountains, near Zakopane, stood the Cozy Cottage.
Pl: Otoczona była ośnieżonymi drzewami, a ze środka dochodził blask kominka.
En: It was surrounded by snow-covered trees, and a warm glow emanated from the fireplace within.
Pl: Na zewnątrz śnieg sypał nieprzerwanie, a niebawem miał nadejść czas karnawału - Zapusty, pełen zabaw i radości przed Wielkim Postem.
En: Outside, snow was falling incessantly, and soon it would be carnival time - Zapusty, full of festivities and joy before Lent.
