Solvonis Therapeutics CEO on SVN-114 and PTSD market opportunity

Salvonis Therapeutics. Very good morning, Anthony. You've selected SVN 114 as the lead candidate

for your PTSD discovery program. What convinced you to select this compound?

Thank you. Good to talk to you, Steven. The decision was made and was driven by the pharmacological

data generated in studies conducted on our behalf by EvoTech. SVN 114 demonstrated the

balanced modulation of the serotonin dopamine and norigenin receptors that were targeting in this

program. That profile suggests to us that this compound can influence the brain systems involved

in emotional processing and social behaviors, which are central to the effective treatment of

post-traumatic stress disorder. Following review of these results are scientific advisory

commission, which is led by the esteemed Professor David Knott, decided and agreed to select SVN 114

as the lead candidate for our post-traumatic stress disorder program.

As you mentioned, SVN 114 works across serotonin dopamine and also the norigenin pathways.

Why is targeting these systems important when it comes to treating PTSD?

Good, good question. So PTSD, it's a complex brain disorder involving interconnected

many several, I beg your pardon, interconnected brain systems rather than a single pathway.

So serotonin, dopamine and norigenin all play important roles in regulation, mood and social

emotional processing and social behavior. By modulating these brain mechanisms, we hope to

allow and enable patients suffering with PTSD to process the traumatic experiences and engage more

effect, the traumatic experiences driven that drive the PTSD and engage more effectively in therapy.

And importantly, SVN 114 emerges from a novel series, novel chemical series,

discovered by self-honours, which we believe represents a differentiation approach to addressing

trauma-related psychiatric disorders. PTSD affects millions of people worldwide,

but treatment options remain limited. Antony, if this program progresses successfully,

I'll significant to the commercial opportunity before SVN 114 in the global PTSD market.

Stephen, Stephen, great question, very, very pertinent question.

Unfortunately, PTSD affects more than 20 million people across the US, the UK and the key European

markets. Yet the pharmacological treatments, options remain limited and outcomes from existing

therapies are very often inadequate. Now, this creates a significant unmet medical need. And so if

compounds like SVN 114 can demonstrate meaningful clinical benefits, then there's obviously a clearly,

clearly a substantial opportunity to improve outcomes for patients and also to create value for the

company and very important for shareholders. And importantly for us, this campaign emerges as

I mentioned before from a novel series, but it's a series that we have composition of matter

patents filed, which gives us a strong intellectual property foundation to support the potential

future commercial opportunity here as the program progresses.

Well, not only by densifying the lead candidate, what's the key steps required to move SVN 114

towards clinical trials? Yeah, so we've identified the lead candidate, and the focus for us is to

progress is in advancing the remaining pre clinical work required to support the ultimate clinical

development of SVN 114. And very importantly, consistent with our disciplined capital-efficient

orange model, we will be pursuing non-dilute of grant funding in both the UK and the US

to progress this work forward. And I look forward to updating you and our investors and shareholders
