Welcome into Lounge presented by DraftKings.
I'm Ryan Mink here with Garrett Downing and we are just inside a month
till the NFL Draft.
So today we're going to talk about some of our favorite prospects in this year's class.
We haven't yet put pen to paper in terms of our seven-round mock draft, which we will
we'll keep working on that.
Yeah, I got to keep minkering.
We got some pencil.
We got some players in pencil.
My first one will pick maybe in pen.
But today we're just, you know, this is when you start to pick out guys that you like.
You watch the tape, you break it all down, you hear from the pundits, the analysts,
and you start to get some favorites.
So that's what we're going to talk about today.
And Garrett, let's start with the first round.
And I'll let you kick it off.
Well, I'll start with one who is the most popular mock draft projection.
And I think that both of us are really high on him.
And this is what you, I think we're alluding to when you were talking about guys in pencil.
Maybe, you know, get the pen, you're taking the, you're taking the cap off the pen.
The cap is off.
The cap is off.
You're ready to maybe put this one down for your mock draft at number 14.
And that's Penn State's Vega Ioni, offensive guard, 6'4", 320 pounds.
I think that he just fits what you want as a plug-and-place starter at that position.
A lot of people, including Daniel Jeremiah, believe that he's the best offense lineman in the draft.
Yeah.
And if you have a chance to get the best offense alignment at pick number 14,
at a position of need, at a big position of need, wouldn't that be a home run?
And that is something I think the Ravens, Ioni is going right or in that range.
Like he's, he's right, I think probably in that 12 to 20 range.
And so I think that there's a decent shot that he's on the board for the Ravens.
And I think that he's a player that gives you a really high floor.
I just have a hard time seeing him come into the NFL and not be a good starter as a baseline.
And then how high he goes from there is the question.
But I think for all those reasons, it just feels like he's a player that's easy to like,
easy to root for and you think you could come in and patch an immediate hole and do it at a super high level.
Yeah, I really like him.
I love the physicality that he plays the game with.
I think he'd be a tone-setter on the Ravens offensive line.
And that's what I think that they need.
They need, they need more guys up front who are going to kind of establish the Ravens dominance
in the trenches. And been rock solid as a run blocker, been rock solid as a pass blocker.
You know, the questions about him are about lateral ability, movement skills,
how much can he pull and be kind of one of the stretch zone run schemes.
When I watch him, I see him moving pretty darn well.
Yeah.
But above all, I mean, it's a power game.
And I think that he would definitely give the Ravens kind of reestablish that in the front there.
And I like the way that he talks about playing the game about how he wants to,
he wants to beat people up out there.
You know, he wants to play violent.
This guy talks and plays like a Raven.
And so, and he's just an established guard.
There's talk about Spencer Fano.
He was a tackle prospect out of Utah and whether he could be the pick of 14 because
people see him as a good guard, maybe even a great center.
You know, that's, that's all projection and I get it.
The NFL draft is a projection business.
That's what you're doing with every single player.
Right.
But there's less projection with Vega because he's done it at guard at a high level for three years.
Yeah.
You know, and so I kind of like more of a sure bet at 14.
You talk about the movement piece like how does he move?
There was a play against UCLA where he was lined up at the slot position.
They brought it kind of a funky formation.
Yeah.
They bring him out and he comes across the backfield and absolutely lit up the defense.
He'll destroy people.
Yeah, so look, move pretty well on that play.
Yeah, I mean, I think that he moves well.
I think that he's just more known for his power game.
That's his calling card.
And so, but to me, he does it all.
I mean, people are saying that he's the best pure guard prospects since Quentin Nelson,
who went number six overall, I believe, to the Indianapolis Colts.
And has been just right him in as a perennial all pro every year, he's healthy.
So if you have an ability to get that guy at 14, I know the position value,
positional value, that's going to be the debate.
That's going to be the reason why he's there at 14.
But you get the best offensive lineman in the draft at 14.
That's pretty good value to me.
Yeah, no doubt about it.
And I do wonder, like, especially seeing the contract that title,
Winnerbomb, just got us a center.
We had a lot of the same conversations going into that draft about positional value.
Do you take a center that high?
They took Winnerbomb later than 14.
But he just got a contract that totally blew away the center market.
It's like, we've seen the gap between left tackle and right tackle shrink.
Now we're seeing the gap in terms of payment for those guys.
Now we're seeing the gap between tackle and center shrink.
So I just wonder, our teams from a value standpoint,
looking at just the offensive line collectively, I know tackles are still paid higher than
guards, just generally speaking.
But I just wonder if that's shrinking.
And as you play that out over the course of the next decade,
do we see more contracts for guards and centers like what title,
Winnerbomb got?
And you kind of look at the offensive line just as an overall puzzle.
And you're not seeing the big disparity between tackles and guards.
Yeah, I think that's fair.
You look at the past two Super Bowl winners too.
You look at the Seahawks and the Eagles.
And how did they win those games?
Some of those interior defensive linemen, just eight.
And so you've got to be able to defend against that too, right?
I mean, those interior blockers can be the difference in winning or losing the Super Bowl.
Who the Seahawks taken the first round last year?
Yeah, exactly.
They took guard, Grace Able.
Exactly.
And so we talked about Jesse Miner fall on the path, you know?
Yeah.
And so Mike McDowell, so let's just do it in the draft as well.
Yeah, so both of us are high on Vega Ioni.
And I think that there's a decent shot that he's there because of,
despite us talking about all of this and how he could be the best linemen in the drafts and
all that stuff, I still think that guard prospects usually aren't going in the top 10.
And so I think that there's not a team as obvious of a need at guard,
as the Ravens have in front of him.
So, so if he's there, I think gives the Ravens a lot to think about.
And I think it'd be a really good pick for them at that spot.
All right, I'll give you another guy that I'm really high on that I'm excited about.
I don't know if he's going to be there.
The rest of these guys are more of a question to me is like the love.
I always tend to fall over these guys that are like, are they going to make it?
And so if they make it, then I'm like thrilled.
I don't really like to settle.
You know, you want to shoot for the stars, right?
And one of those guys is Mansour DeLane cornerback from LSU.
I see on your list because he should be.
He's from SilverSprank.
He's from SilverSprank.
SilverSprank, that's my neck in the woods.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Oh, I have that circled.
Okay, I'm worried.
Yeah, that's that's the main thing for you.
But comes from LSU, cornerback factory.
Like that's a place that knows how to produce defensive backs.
Six, one, hundred, eight, seven pounds.
Just like exactly what you're looking for in a really solid press corner, smooth,
moves really well.
Like, I think everybody looks at him and says,
this is a clear starting, this is a clear cornerback one.
And pretty soon, he could be a top 10 corner in football.
Yeah, it means very polished.
I mean, the crazy stat on him is the allowed 10
completions all of last season for 119 yards.
Yeah, that's absurd.
Yeah, right.
This is, you know, played an archbishop's balding.
Yeah, you're outside of Baltimore.
And so we got the hometown story.
Exactly. Got the hometown story.
I just, he's just the top cornerback in this class, in my opinion.
Usually the top corner doesn't last till 14.
But you look at the mock drafts and he's any, you know,
he's in those kind of 10 to 14 range, a little higher.
And at that point, it's possible, it's possible that he could get there
for the Ravens that the need isn't as obvious at cornerback
because you have your two starters.
Really three starters in Nate Wiggins, Marlon Humphrey,
and then resigning Cheeto, OZA.
You have three starting corners already.
But what's Marlon's long-term future Cheeto's
on a one-year deal?
You know, the Ravens usually like to get ahead of things at corner
and not be stuck.
And so Mansour, you know, when they drafted Marlon,
corner wasn't the top need on the board.
And that's pretty darn good pick.
Same with when they drafted Wiggins.
Exactly. So if Mansour Delaney gets
there, I think you have a tough pick.
Correct me if I'm wrong here.
But as I go back through the history,
first round corners, they did it with Wiggins.
They did it with Marlon.
And then Jimmy Smith was the one before that.
Am I missing anybody?
And in each of those situations,
it wasn't the most pressing need.
Jimmy Smith at the time, like, took him a while
to get on the field.
And he was hurt a lot, his rookie season.
But like, he heard on the opening kickoff.
Yeah, like he missed a lot of time for injury.
But like even his first two seasons,
he was used kind of more as rotational
than just come in and play every snap
as a starting cornerback.
Right.
And Marlon similarly kind of took him a little bit of time
to really crack into that starting lineup.
And they had starters who were established at the time
and same with Wiggins.
And so it could be a similar situation where you,
if you just feel like he's the best corner,
you can get him at that spot.
I honestly wonder with him if it's like,
you get to 10-11, would he be a consider trade-up guy?
Four.
I doubt it.
Because if you, if you feel like your,
if the Ravens feel like he's the best corner in the draft.
And we like to address, we like to get ahead of it,
like you talked about.
And you think you could get him at that spot.
It's rare that the Ravens are drafting this high
to even have a shot at getting the best corner.
If you can move up a few spots and get him,
would you consider doing that?
I think that I just put that middle asterix
like, is he a trade-up guy?
Another player that I put in that same category
would be Ruben Bain from Miami.
And there's been a lot of,
it feels like there's a lot of Ravens fans
and pundits you kind of in, you know,
cross your fingers in hope mode that he drops.
And with the whole shorter arms than average,
you know, hey, does that make him fall?
Does that he become the next Kyle Hamilton
that the Ravens get at 14, who's just a steal?
I'll rewind to the first time I saw the Ruben Bain
like highlights and watching some of the college football playoffs.
I was like, that dude plays like a Raven.
Like, there's just some guys,
it screams Raven to you.
Ruben Bain's one of those dudes.
I mean, physical, hustles, the motor, all of that,
you know, and then even hearing his interviews
at his pro day and hearing him at the combine,
the way he talks about how much he loves football.
Like, just this dude just feels to me like a Raven.
And, but I don't think he's going to get there.
I think that he's just too much of a dog a great pro day.
I think he's going to kind of break the mold
and people are going to take a chance on the guy
who's had high level production.
I mean, you're talking 20 and a half sacks
over the past three years.
He was a monster in the playoffs with five sacks in four games.
Like, I think he goes before 14, but I really like him.
Yeah, Ruben Bain, when they first came out of my radar,
was when Miami knocked Ohio State out of the college football
off, he was a dominant player in that game.
And basically short circuit of that offense in that game.
And I was like, man, would be nice to have this player
on the Ravens and thinking of that at the time.
And then you look like, yeah, in a way, he's the top five pick.
And then in this process, as it goes along,
honestly, some other players, notably from Ohio State,
have helped themselves with combine performances,
like, sunny styles who performed out of this world.
And our Val Riz had a good, you know,
he's both of those guys who were more like,
oh, they're probably in that top 10 range,
and have seemed to firmly implant themselves as top eight picks.
And then there's Texas sex, David Bailey.
David Bailey is another one who's going to be a top 10 pick,
maybe second overall.
So the question is kind of how do teams stack that up?
Where does Ruben Bain come in?
Is he at the bottom of that tier or the top?
Yeah, I mean, there's talk after his birthday.
Could he go number two overall to the Jets?
You might go that high.
I'd be a little surprised, but maybe.
And so I don't know, it'll be interesting to see.
And some teams are just going to have trepidations
about that arm length and be concerned.
I mean, it's rare to draft a guy with that length of arms
in the first round at past pressure.
And some teams might be concerned about that
in any hesitation with such a high pick.
They're going to say, I'll take the next guy on my list.
Yeah, nine and a half sacks last year, 15 and a half tackles
for loss, six, two, two, 63.
Look, if you can add him to this defense,
that all of a sudden you're starting to feel like,
okay, we got him and Trey Hendrickson
and Mike Green and Tavius Robinson.
To me, that outside linebacker group
was looking really solid if you're able to add him
to that collection.
And I'm kind of with you that it's probably,
we're probably daydreaming a little bit.
But I think it's, the daydream seems to have come
to more of a reality in the past month, it seems.
This could actually, this could happen.
It didn't seem like such a far cry
to where we were at the end of the season.
All right, another guy that I'll give you,
and this is a little bit unique.
I really love the player.
Don't know if it would be the very best we'd do it at 14.
Is Jeremiah Love, the running back out of Notre Dame.
Okay.
Big guy, six foot, two hundred and twelve pounds.
The comp on him is Jamir Gibbs.
He's worked out pretty well.
1,300 Russian yards, 18 touchdowns last season,
last season, four, three, six, 40.
Big, fast, can do it all.
He's just a great running back.
And if you can get him at 14, like the Ravens
already have a stud running back, obviously, in Darecender.
So I honestly would be surprised if they were to take him.
But we're talking about players that I love.
And just on the surface, Jeremiah Love is a guy that I don't know.
Come on.
Yeah, I mean, home run threat.
He could be the next great running back
to come through this league.
And so, yeah, I'd be surprised.
I just, I just think that the Ravens where they sit as a team
with the aspirations that they have,
with Darecender being on the team and how much of a load he's going to carry.
To me, you're, you're close to being right back in the playoffs
and giving it, you know, maybe going to the Super Bowl.
So like, do you want to spend a pick at running back
where you already have Darecender?
That's the question.
Not just running back.
It's like, you want to take a backup running back at pick number 14.
That seems exactly right.
Exactly.
And so, especially you have some other needs
that could help you get over the top.
And so I would find that unlikely.
But yeah, I love the players.
Great.
And so it's like that he worked out.
The Lions had a pretty nasty once-you-punch.
You mentioned Jameer Gibbs.
Jameer Gibbs and David Montgomery did some work for them.
Yeah.
And so could you have that with Darecender and Jeremiah Love?
Yeah, it would be a elite tandem.
It would be a scary good backfield.
I think that like there's, for all the reasons
that it would be a little bit surprising if they did it.
But the player is great.
I think he's such a good player
that it at least would force you to take about it.
Yeah.
All right, this is one
that I'll be interested to hear your take on.
Why receiver Jordan Tyson out of Arizona State?
And I tell you, there's some things that concern you.
You know, the injury history there with him
had a major knee injury in 2022,
broken, clavicle in 2024.
I throw that out.
And now we're occurring hamstring injury,
which I don't like hammies,
especially ones that just linger.
But godly, you flip on the highlights of this guy
and look, premiere player.
I mean, people are saying he's a Mari Cooper Jr.
Jr. Jr. Jr.
And you go to 2020, Mari Cooper the Throne.
You go to his stats in 24.
I mean, 75 for 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns.
I mean, when he's been on the field
and everybody knows he's the ball's coming to him
and he's still getting open.
I mean, natural catcher can play above the rim.
Tough dude, you see him running slants all day long.
You know, physical run after catch.
Just a baller.
I don't like his receiver coach.
Would you say I don't like his receiver?
Who's that?
He's worth.
That's that's that's a column in the in the negative category for him.
So I just I just feel like, you know,
Ravens fans have been looking for this kind of big X,
you know, this guy who can go out there and a big body,
go up and make plays, contest the catches,
all those things.
But also has the speed and the athleticism
to make big plays after the catch.
I think that Jordan Tyson is a pretty interesting option there.
Yeah, I think
the the injury history gives you pause.
Yeah.
And so you're a little bit makes me a little bit nervous.
You'd have to get good checks on that.
I will point out that the hit like Jackson,
Smith and Jacob are coming out of college
had some major injury question
because he basically didn't play his last season
with with the nagging hamstring injury that that was the conversation
at that point.
Yeah.
And obviously he's worked out.
Okay, so sometimes
you have something that feels like this is going to be a major problem
and then it turns out to be this was a college thing
and they get with NFL trainers and NFL weight staff
and you you're able to alleviate the problem.
Exactly.
So the medical checks are going to be important on him.
I think the talent is there for sure.
I kind of come back to like how big of a
how big of a need is it kind of similar to the question we had
at running back.
The Ravens wanted to add another receiver I would think.
I liked his walker and what I've seen from him.
But you have your top two receivers in Zayn Bateman.
And so do you are you using the 14th pick
on a number three receiver?
I think the need is greater at wider
seer than it is at running back.
I agree with that.
And I think that if you go three wide
I'd love to see what Declan Doyle could do with Zayn
Bateman and Jordan Tyson.
It'd be exciting.
I think it's a great talk about given Lamar Jackson weapons
and given this offense weapons
that would be a weapon.
And you go I honestly think
Vega Jordan Tyson if they're both on the board which way do you go.
You know you think about is how much of a weapon is a guard.
You know now of course it's a different conversation.
You got to stir up the trenches.
And that's a very high priority.
Jim Harbaugh's quote.
Yeah I feel like offense Lamar weapons.
Yeah exactly.
And so
but I'm just saying the talent there will be alluring.
Yeah the talent is alluring.
I think it's an injury question.
Daniel Jeremiah made the point when we talked to him.
He had some concentration drops.
You know and but like a lot of guys.
I think Daniel Jeremiah put Jordan Tyson on his list
of some of the one of the most polarizing prospects in this year's draft.
Right.
So it's so where do the Ravens fall in that?
Yeah.
Do they really love this guy or not so much?
I don't know.
I really I when I watch him on tape
I love the talent.
I love the player.
Yeah the talent is hard to look away from
and feel like you could get a dynamic playmaker at that spot.
Hard to pass that up.
Yep.
I think it comes down to need
and then the injury questions are a big piece of it.
Yep.
Another weapon that I want to mention
is Kenny on the CD.
The tight end out of Oregon.
We all know the Ravens and their tight end needs this guy.
I mean he's one of the better pass catchers in the draft.
51 catches for 560 and 8 touchdowns last season.
I also really like him as a blocker.
I mean you look at the competitiveness
and his desire to put dudes on their back
and then tell him that he put them on their back.
See that a lot of that.
And you know Isaiah likely it was a weapon.
Very versatile.
Can line them up in a number of different spots.
What could Declan Doyle do with Kenny on Cedique?
I think he'd be for me a little bit more of a trayback option
from the team.
Yeah.
But love the player.
We started to see some we've seen
tied as it go in the first round of course.
I mean, Coastal Loveland and Tyler Lawrence
were both first round picks that came in
and made a big impact.
So like long history of that.
Yep.
So Cedique and that's also one of those positions
a little bit less valued.
Similar to the conversation about guard and safety.
That you can maybe get the best tight end at 14
or even later.
You can be trayback and potentially still get him.
I think he's a really dynamic player
and has the production and is an all around tight end.
He's just the best tight end.
I just like everybody.
Everything you hear about this class is
that there's really good tight end options
in the receiving category throughout the entire draft.
So do you just say like a look you can get someone
and as we've talked about the Ravens have a great track record
of drafting mid-round tight ends.
It turned out to be really good prospects.
So look at Isaiah likely.
Do they try to do that again?
Yep.
All right.
Last one for me.
Depends on tackle Peter Woods out of Clemson.
Justin Robertson.
Our editorial intern would be very disappointed
if we didn't mention him.
I mean, Clemson guy.
I like Peter.
I think that he's you know twitchy detackled
the movement skills he athleticism.
The ability to get in the backfield
makes flash plays.
I really I like.
He was going to get another guy that was on
Daniel Jeremiah's kind of most polarizing.
Most polarizing players.
I like him.
I think that he got a lot.
The production kind of dipped his final year.
He got a lot of attention.
A lot of double teams, even triple teams.
I mean, everybody knew he was the dude
on Clemson's deep funds in front.
And so you know, good makeup.
I really I like Peter Woods.
I think if nom the if the Ravens have
how much information do the Ravens have
about nom the in his future.
If nom the is not going to be playing in 2026,
Peter Woods sneaks up my draft board a little bit more.
That's exactly what I feel too.
If you've if Matt Beek is back great news,
then I don't think that that's really a need anymore.
And I don't think that he would be the pick at 14.
Yeah, if you feel like you need to address that spot,
then it changes things.
And Woods could be a really good player there.
He's another potential trade back option as well.
Yeah, let's take a quick break.
When we come back, we'll mention some other guys.
I got another Clemson guy for you who could be
picked for the Ravens as we look into the later rounds of the draft.

Draft King Sportsbook, the crown is yours.
A day two pick, I mentioned Clemson Prospects, T.J. Parker, edge out of Clemson.
I think you could be a round two pick for the Ravens.
In 24, huge production, 19.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks.
Dipped last year, went down to 9.5 tackles for loss,
5 sacks, 64, 265.
I think he could come in and like,
the floor for him is a good edge setter on this defensive front.
And I think the Ravens could definitely still add,
look, there was talk of them,
pairing Trey Hendrickson and Max Crosby together.
So I'm not going to be surprised if they end up,
they're going to draft an edge at some point.
And I think it wouldn't surprise me if it happens
in the first three rounds.
And T.J. Parker could definitely be that guy
who can get after the quarterback and set the edge,
kind of plays the game the way you want
for a Ravens defensive outside linebacker.
My edge is Malachai Lawrence out of central Florida.
26 over the past three years, he's had production,
beats up tight ends, beats him up, sets that edge, hustles,
like the motor is high, good combine.
I think he's an ascending player, I like Malachai Lawrence.
I'll give you one else, another player on the defensive line.
This is medical piece here, going to be huge.
A couple of weeks ago, we were talking about him
as a potential first round option, Caleb Banks.
Yeah, he's, I mean, he's huge.
I mean, he talks about six, six, three hundred and thirty pounds.
Yeah, rare human, rare athlete coming off an injury.
So yeah, could you get him at a discount?
I think that's an interesting option on day two.
And his injury situation is kind of doubly complicated.
He broke his foot at the combine
and reportedly had surgery after that.
So the fresh injury there and the foot injury
lingered all of the last season.
And so I like that he played through it.
He did, he worked his way back.
A lot of people thought he was done,
worked himself to get back on the field.
Then which of the senior bull?
Yeah, I played through it, but came back.
Yeah, came back and then at the senior bull,
caught the attention of a lot of people,
was the best player on the field at the senior bull.
And the Ravens value the senior bull.
Right. And so like how far does he fall?
That's honestly the question.
He was potentially a first round pick.
That seems unlikely now coming off the foot injury,
because you get him in the second round,
and you feel like the value was there for a guy
that all reports are he's going to be ready to go by training camp.
That's what the indication is.
But I think you might be able to get some really good value
with a guy that can be a force in the middle.
All right, if the Ravens don't go with Vega,
Ioni in the first round, second round,
I like Oregon's Immanuel Pregnant.
I mean, you talk about another Mauler 64-314.
This dude plays with a ton of physicality.
I like him.
Chase Passanthus is another really intriguing guard prospect.
I think both of these guys are probably going to go
in the second round.
They could go right around where the Ravens are picking.
Midway through the second round.
Passanthus is a little bit more known for movement.
He's a little lighter, a little leaner.
Bill had to get out and pull and those kind of things
get out on the edge and block.
I like Immanuel Pregnant and the way he can just play
really physical and beat people up.
I like Chase Passanthus.
I mean, young player and has the physical makeup that you want.
So I think that you could bet on a young player
that could continue to develop and feel like you're still
getting a player that played SEC football at a high level
and has good experience under his belt.
Well, also having a lot of room to grow.
And so I like Passanthus,
so they don't go off that's alive in the first round.
I think he could be a really good catch in the second.
We talked about the depth that tight ends.
Eli Stauer is out of Vanderbilt.
Is my receiving guy that I like.
He might go earlier than he'd probably hope for,
but after he blew up the combine,
I mean, one of the best combine showings ever for a tight end.
Converted quarterback, college quarterback.
I like that.
I think it gives him a unique perspective on the game
and how to get open for his quarterback.
But he had big time production last year,
765 receiving yards and four touchdowns at Vanderbilt.
Made some highlight reel catches.
I mean, this guy, he's an intriguing player to me.
And then the athleticism they showed at the combine,
it really intrigues you.
It was ability to go up and play above the rim.
His vertical jump was insane.
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, the rapists are going to draft,
the going to draft the tight end.
Yeah.
And it could be stowers.
The only thing he could go in the second round
and need in the second round,
how big is the need at that point?
I don't know.
Maybe.
Yeah, I think that if you could wait a little bit there
and then get him in the third, I'd love it.
Well, yeah.
And if he's gone, maybe you can still wait
and then I'm getting a really good pass catcher
and rounds three and four.
Yeah.
All right, last one for me.
Running back Mike Washington, Jr. out of Arkansas,
he was kind of one of the combine darlings,
burped down in tears after his 40 yard dash.
You ran in four, three, three.
Look, six foot one, two, 23,
and you ran a four, three, three.
Yeah.
I'm intrigued.
Yeah.
I mean, average 6.4 per carry adds
a little something as a receiver.
I think he has the ability to eventually turn
into a number one lead back.
Well, the Ravens are looking to replace Keaton Mitchell
in the production that he had last year
as he's gone in free agency.
He could be an interesting option for them
as a home run thread.
So a lot of talk that we're going to be going to break down
over the course of the next few weeks leading
into the NFL draft as always.
