He dreams often, and usually there is always something a little wrong—some small detail that makes it obvious afterward that none of it was real.

This dream was different.

He was riding in the family car when an emergency warning suddenly appeared and his mother told him something was coming. He woke with the overwhelming feeling that someone was standing in his room watching him, but eventually convinced himself it had only been a nightmare.

The next day, while riding in that same car, another strange feeling settled over him. Something was going to happen.
