South Africa is a world leader in having women in politics, but no positions of true power in the government are held by women. Nearly all of South Africa's political parties are led by men, and men fill most parties' executive positions. In a country where most registered voters are women, and women suffer the awful gender based violence, why are women being kept out of positions of power?
