Good morning, it's Monday, April 27th, 2026, and here's your surf zone forecast for South Florida.
Starting up north in Palm Beach, expect moderate rip current risk today with surf running one to two feet. It'll be sunny with a high in the lower eighties, and the water's sitting in the upper seventies. Winds are coming from the northwest around five miles per hour, shifting northeast this afternoon. Things amp up tomorrow though. The rip current risk jumps to high, so swimmers and surfers should exercise caution. Same one to two foot surf, but mostly sunny skies and northeast winds between five and ten miles per hour.
Down in Broward County around Fort Lauderdale, today looks even calmer. Low rip current risk with minimal surf, less than a foot. It'll be sunny and warm in the mid eighties with that upper seventies water temperature. But watch out tomorrow, rip current risk rises to moderate, so keep an eye on conditions if you're heading into the water. Thankfully, no thunderstorms are expected anywhere along the coast today or tomorrow, and waterspout risk is nonexistent.
The Miami-Dade beaches are mirroring Broward's conditions pretty closely. Low rip current risk and barely a ripple in the water today with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid eighties. Tomorrow brings moderate rip current risk, so again, be aware before entering the water.
Head west to Collier County and Naples Marco Island, and you'll find the calmest conditions of the day. Low rip current risk both today and tomorrow with surf under a foot. There's a chance of patchy fog this morning, but otherwise sunny and pleasant in the mid eighties. Northeast winds today shifting northwest tomorrow afternoon.
One more thing to keep in mind across the entire region: the UV index is very high, so slather on that sunscreen regardless of where you're heading. It's going to be a beautiful couple of days along the water, so get out there and enjoy it safely.
