South Florida Surf Forecast Monday March 23rd: Calm Seas, High UV Index, Rip Current Risk in Palm Beach

Here's your surfs on forecast for South Florida, issued Monday, March 23rd at 4.16am, starting

up north in Palm Beach.

We're looking at a high-ripp-grant risk today and tomorrow.

Highs will be running one to two feet, with northwest winds around five miles per hour

this morning, shifting to the northeast by afternoon.

Water temps are sitting in the mid-70s, so it'll feel pretty nice out there.

Just keep an eye out for those rip currents near any structures like piers, jetties or groins.

The sun will be intense today with a very high UV index, so definitely get that sunscreen

on.

High temps should reach the lower 80s.

If you're heading out Tuesday, expect more of the same conditions with that high-ripp-current

risk still in play.

Down in Broward County near Fort Lauderdale, the rip current risk drops to low today and

tomorrow.

Surf is minimal at one foot or less, which means it'll be pretty calm out there.

Northwest winds in the morning, becoming easterly by afternoon.

Water temps in the mid-70s again.

High temps around 80 degrees.

Another sunny day with that very high UV index, so come prepared for the sun.

Over in Miami-Dade, conditions mirror Broward with low-ripp-current risk in one foot or

less to surf both days.

Similar wind patterns and water temperature with highs near 80.

No thunderstorms expected, just sunny skies and then intense UV radiation.

Finally, heading down to Collier County, covering Naples and Marco Island, we've got low-ripp

current risk and minimal surf under one foot.

North winds early, becoming rest early in the afternoon, upper 70s for the high temperature.

Another beautiful sunny day with that very high UV index.

Bottom line, spectacular beach weather across all of South Florida for the next two days.

The only thing to watch is that elevated rip current risk up in Palm Beach, but elsewhere

conditions are calm and inviting.
