we're finally getting Hispanic brand new day.

First life action spicy for men movie,

That is insane.

I cannot believe it's been that long from home.

That's we when I Googled about that,

it's what they say 2019 will yeah.

But what.

The way, Hom came out in 2021.

That's when I miss I can ever keep them straight you know me,

that's why I wanted you to host,

Where was it? No way home is 2021. Okay. Right? Yeah, that's right. I remember it was after

coming. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. So doing it in five years. Yeah. It's crazy. Crazy. Indeed.

What is your hype expectations? You and I have not watched this trailer yet.

Through the roof. My hype and expectations are our sky highs that could possibly be every

single thing I've heard about this movie has at the very least intrigued me at the most

completely excited me. And it's like, oh, this is exactly what I want. I do think that there's

probably going to be some stuff that I don't like. That's fine. I think that there's a lot

writing on this. I have loved the entire Tom Holland trilogy. And on top of that, I love

Daniel Lesson Kretten from the from Shang Chi. Of course.

Shang Chi. So I said that wrong. Destined Daniel Kretten. And his eye for action and just camera

moves and all that I think is going to be right at home with the Spider-Man movie. And I get

very, very high expectations. Where are you at? I can't wait. I, you know, how much I love Tom Holland

the Spider-Man universe that they've built over there in his portrayal of Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

You know, um, the Doctor Strange Spider-Man whose name I can never remember left me like in

such a lurch, right? Like I broke my heart to see Peter Parker and see everyone forget about him.

So to pick this up. And again, we haven't watched this trailer. But I've seen enough, I look

away on the internet. I can't. I saw an IGN that this is four years later from when we last

checked in on Spidey. I'm excited to see what they got up their sleeve when they're going for this one.

Yeah. So I have not seen anything. I've been fathering. Yeah, even a couple days. So I have not seen

anything from this trailer. But on me, I have been keeping up with as much as I possibly could

from brand new day over the last couple of years. There's been a, you know, a lot of casting

announcements made both officially and, you know, semi-efficiently when it's like a disgusting film

talking about as opposed to a Hollywood reporter or variety. But in, and that's not to discredit

discussing film, they have over the last couple of years, I think legitimized themselves in a,

a niche, very similar to like kind of funny versus IGN, you know what I mean? Yeah, 100%.

It's definitely more reputable. But it's, oh, there's, there's something. They know they're doing, yeah.

Yeah. So I'm very interested to see what pieces they put together here for us to kind of

extrapolate like what this movie could be. Because again, my biggest questions kind of from this

trailer is, all right, we're coming off of the biggest multiverse movie of consequence that we've

had so far in the MCU with no way home, right? Like Deadpool Wolverine, I obviously think that

there's an argument to be made for how important and big of a deal that is, especially bringing

back Hugh Jackman entering the Fox universe into Marvel Studios, all that, like that is so big.

But getting the three Spider-Man is an all time cinematic. Amazing.

Feet that we just never thought would be possible, but they did that, right? And the big question

then was like, all right, we're going to like, we're stripping of his powers. This is the most

traditional Spider-Man Tom Holland has ever been as we saw at the end of no way home.

Are we going to get a more grounded street level story, which always felt impossible after

as crying the stakes got in no way home, right? Yeah, especially as this is the final, the final MCU movie

before June's day. That's crazy. So yeah, and that's this year as well, must they move it from

June. Anyways, I'm so excited to talk about this stuff, Greg. It's been so long.

is like, where are they going with it?

But like, what I love,

because there's multiple comic storylines

they could be going down,

where there is the man spider stuff that we see in the animated 90s show,

right?

That like, we all had the Toyota for some reason.

Like, that was such a...

That toy.

Everybody had the Toyota.

Everybody had the Toyota.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And then there's also the comic storyline, the other,

which it kind of kicked off with the Ezekiel stuff that like...

...the spider totems.

They touched on it in a very horrible way in that way.

Though it connects us all.

But the comic story is one of my favorites.

And I feel like over time,

people have kind of soured on it a little bit.

But I still really, really like it.

And it kind of kept going into the storyline

of the crossover event called the other where he...

It's kind of what leads to a lot of the brand new day.

Like all that stuff of the...

redoing the spells.

The comic version of what we're seeing.

Right, right.

In these movies of like the version of Remembering Peter Parker type stuff.

And he kind of gets into situations because Morlin,

who is one of the inquisitors,

is...

There's like scary ass vampire.

In the comics, the origin source of the spider verse.

Like the spider verse storyline is this Morlin guy

and his family hunting all those totems.

So like a lot of different storylines are kind of like connecting.

But part of that involves to kind of deal with fighting the vampire.

Spider-Man is like evolving almost into more of a spider.

And like gets like scary ass like claws.

And like...

And to more of a spider, more fangy type stuff.

So it's like...

The man spider story isn't the only...

Sure, sure, sure, sure.

So it's like, will he sprout freaking arms like the cartoon?

The bigger thing is my takeaway from just seeing the trailer of like the tone that they're going for.

I like that it seems very much like an inverse of Remi Spider-Man 2.

Spider-Man 2 was...

A web block.

A web block where he's like, I need to be Peter Parker.

I can't be Spider-Man.

Spider-Man.

This is very much like, I'm going full Spider-Man.

And what's happening there is it's enhancing his stuff too much that is causing him to go crazy

and, you know, just webs everywhere.

Yeah.

But yeah, I'm like super, super intrigued with that.

Because I feel like that's going to be a very interesting thing for them to pull off.

And like when I think about the mysticism side of what we saw on Sean Chi,

like I feel like they could cook with this in a way that's not too much going on.

Because it's like you hear about all these characters.

And there's even some characters like Sadie Sink is confirmed to be in this movie.

And there's been a lot of conversation about who she may be playing.

Does that mean he jumps to Mary Jane with the red hair?

But a lot of people are saying silk, right?

Which wouldn't line up.

So a lot of that stuff is...

I will say my initial take on the trailer is I'm a little let down by the look.

But I don't think that this looks nearly as good as I expected it to.

I thought there'd be more motion like this shot.

I feel like it's like one of the only times you really get something like this.

And this otherwise, it looks fairly similar to what we got in the previous trilogy.

And I just kind of expected something more from what I saw in Shang Chi even.

Um, even in the first trailer for that movie.

Um, but also, you know, all the hype of seeing him in this amazing suit.

Like, oh my god, this is so good.

I thought one of the bigger light downs of the last trilogy was we're not,

we didn't get any real swinging scenes through New York, right?

And so it's like, oh, let's, let's try to get them in from what I'm seeing here.

I'm like, ah, the same touch and amazing Spider-Man or rainy so far.

I kind of thought that they would wow me with that in this trailer.

Interesting.

Do you know, I would think you'd stay away from a two degree because we've seen it so many times.

I mean, that's what people are looking for you.

Yeah, but I mean, look, we're getting into that.

This is more action than action.

I don't want to say it could also be that are holding back, you know,

they like want to like keep the real good stuff like for when we see it in theaters, you know.

Like from an actual plot him thinking about it and like going full Spider-Man

because of the events are cool, but four years later dealing with this.

I mean, he's in love, man.

And maybe this is just the opening though, right?

We see this and all of us have a feeling that our hearts are like, oh, man.

They're not meant to be together.

perception. Now, of course, we're using a lot of superior there. We are. I was thinking

about that Greg like, that is one of the comic storylines that I absolutely love. And

I think it is one of the stronger overall arcs of Spider-Man. But I wonder if we'll ever

get to a point that that's the movie we're getting. Why? We've gotten so much. We've

gotten so far into this that I'm like, we might actually get there. Yeah, I mean, one

of those questions here in the way that lining it up, obviously him getting scanned, talking

to Hulk, Yadda, Yadda, they want us to think it's going to be banner doing this, but could

it be in the auto Octavius? Yeah, interesting. Here's the Hulk. Where is a little device

so he doesn't turn into the Hulk as always. What is that in the back? Is that just some

kind of real science thing? I don't know. Or is that the test rack? Because it's a cube.

Is it a cosmic cube in the back? Or is it just a cube? He's talking about a cork. I

know that's a real thing. I don't know anything about it. Yeah, I don't recognize.

Gladys Quantum Chromo Chroma. Hi, that makes. Yeah, I don't know. Not familiar. I'm

a Google Chromo dynamics. No, it's just real. That's just nothing. That's not fun. That's

not fun. Super. We go. We talk about the him evolving. When he does this thing to pull

back and shoot himself off, it looks like he loses control. Are we saying his webs are

too strong there? You think there is that what's going on? Is he trying? Can we get a roll

back to where he's doing the poll? Is he using his organic web shooters there? Is that really

quick? I just wanted to point out his computer screen here, which I think this area is insiduated

to be wherever he lives. This computer screen to the right looks similar to the scan that

we saw earlier as well of his body. So maybe he's doing tests on himself. Oh, you think

so that I've that screamed over there and saw me act to me in like, you know, the here's

the crime blotter and he's listening to the police frequencies. You see a wave form on

there? I don't think I think that. Sorry. I think Peter's using all that salvage tech

in that shot, right? He's got a bunch of like CB radios and bullshit piled up. I would

assume that's just like, yeah, that's cobbled together. Yeah, looking at it more closely.

It looks like kind of like a scan of the city or something. Yeah, exactly. I think it's his

spider app for lack of a better term. We see another shot later in the trailer that

has this same monitor and it looks like it looks like a bad guy walking towards it. So

I'm sure we'll see that. But my theory here is I think that there's a we're missing a

hole. Oh, yeah, because I was going to say, yeah, the way he does this is weird, right?

But it still shows it on the building. But yeah, maybe he gets grabbed and thrown. I'm also

trying to see if he's got the web. Yeah, no web shooters on there right now. Of course,

they like to take things out of the trailer all the time though. I do like the cut though

of for better. The next shot is this. Like I do think, yeah, it's Hulk pulling him through

that. That's very cool. And who's this? You think this is Sadie? I imagine this is Sadie

Sink, right? Like for the mystery here and everything going on. I also want to clear that

like I am right there with most people that are like, why would Jean Grey be in this movie?

But I'll a lot of doubt him seeing this trailer with my control shirt. I'm like, yeah, she

probably is. Yeah, because we see him fighting the hand. That's not obviously going to be the

power of a hand person, right? Did jump around? I mean, I can see you can give anybody anything.

But like, I mean, even right here, right? Like this, like this to me is the evidence where it's

like this, this, the tent, the tank that was like Roman through the city was with her. And it's

like, why would this old lady be doing it now? We see it kind of transferring through here.

Oh, yeah, no, no, no, this is all mind control. And it seems like one person slash being jumping

between people. Yeah, I'm with you on that. That's not traditionally a Jean Grey thing.

Yeah, I was going to ask like, is that usually how her power works? Because yeah,

this feels like a specific consciousness being able to move between beings rather than

Jean stuff. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, see, it seems like she's got to be around it at this point, maybe, but again,

maybe they're playing with her powers, maybe whatever's in that room has dampeners on her.

I imagine you, you call that tank, what the tank, I assume is either helping her in a convoy

or she's trying to take it over to get in there to break her out of wherever she would be.

Well, did you guys watch Wonder Man? I did.

So freaking good. Like, as you haven't watched it, everybody, check it out. You're

missing out on absolute greatness with that show. Fantastic show. That show set up.

It had our, your boy, I forget his name, the Mandarin, but the head of damage control.

Yes, um, succession. So he also was in no way home, right? Yeah,

he was the one that was interrogating Peter and them. And his kind of, well,

I mean, I can say this because it's like his plot for the entire season. I won't spoil where it ends

up, but it's like, he is like hunting superpowered people, right? And mutants without saying mutants.

So we have the guy from Severance in this who I imagine is going to be part of damage control as

well. So I think damage control is kind of a big part in this movie.

Wait, who's the guy hunting these people?

You're talking about the same guy who, what guy from Severance is in this?

Oh, we'll see him later. Okay.

So yeah, interesting. Probably is. Who is she going to be? Yeah, here we go. Pay off on the

scorpion stuff. That's huge. Can't go back. That's the thing, man. It's definitely a little too

little too late for me on the, what's the payoff here? Because it's like, I feel like him

knowing Peter's identity. That was the payoff. So unless they play with some, with some like that,

it's a little payoff. I mean, I call that back, but yeah, somebody to fight the scorpion suit.

I think that's all that I'm looking for out of this. Also does he know Peter's identity?

No, I was more sort of a moment of him asking Vulture a lot. Remember, he was about to

Vulture act like he didn't know. So maybe he could have known, but then of course he got thrown

into the Morbius universe. Nobody knows. Yeah, nobody does. Yeah. Hope he came back. Hope he came

back. Hey, I think I'm here because of Spider-Man. Can we go back and watch this a little frame-by-frame

because it's Spider-Man getting thrown again through his own webs. It looks like he had something

set up over here. He's looking at his body. See, like, right, he's got something's going on there.

Maybe he's out of control with his webs. Maybe again, this is the fight like you're predicting with Hulk.

I don't fully get why the webs are already there. Maybe he's trying to catch the Hulk.

I mean, it might be a thing where instead of shooting one web, he's, he can't control it.

So he's shooting way too many webs. He's pulling him too fast. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Not a control hits that poor bird. The bird's glue do his chest. That's going to be a funny moment

when we get him trying to get the birds off him. That's sick.

Two more webs. I love him just standing on the side of it. And so you think that's rogue.

No, I don't. I watch his trailer once. And I was like, she's wearing green and has a white

streak in her hair. It's, I doubt this is rogue. And I say that mainly because this doesn't look like

an actress that would play a rogue. Like I plus rogue would never be New York Jetspin.

Potentially, but I don't, but I do think that it's a bad idea to put somebody that

is in this color shirt with that color hair in a marble thing that may have G gray in it.

in season two of Jared Evel, where it all ended. It is interesting though. The trailer has a

bunch of like words about rebirth and you know, all that stuff. It was referring to Spider-Man, but

remember they had their whole zombies. They stay rebirth in this shot with all of them. Yeah.

That's a six shot. I wonder I get, you know, it does kind of have that no way home trailer

look where it's like there's a lot of room for other characters potentially to be in it. I

hope it's not though. I hope it's just fucking Spider-Man versus all of them and just insanity.

Yeah, or it's like he looks completely different in the shot if they've changed anything, right?

Yeah, yeah, he's got the full spider man spider, whatever we're calling you.

Oh, yeah, exactly. God, that'd be crazy. We actually get man spider. I'm all for it.

And then yeah, here we go. Our final little thing here.

That's the thing is like at the end of the way home, she said like I'm going to figure this out. And

like she, you know, debatably, I mean, she didn't figure it out in far from home, which is like I

knew it like when he tells her. So it's going to be interesting of like what I wonder how this

place, right? Like is she going to, is she going to figure it out? I think she does.

I don't know if that's like a needed thing for her character, but then it's like,

what does that mean for them? You know, yeah.

Can't wait, man. I 31st can't get here soon enough. That's really cool. And again,

yeah, I wouldn't look at the amazing fantasy cover. It's very gray. It's very gray.

It's, but like it's, there's color to it. Gray can have color and gray can look like mush.

That looks like mush to me. You're mush. That's what I say. No, you brain turned to mush since

you left. Hold on, bring it up one more time. It compares to even like the looks of the sky

and the other shots. It's because it's a different day. It's a brand new day.

Spider-Man movies like have, we have expectations and things that we're like we care about.

So I just feel like this is a bad call. I think it's less of like the gray. It's like the weird

kind of like combination of like the CG motion with the kind of like gray sort of like overcast

color grading that they're doing that makes the like even just in motion makes it all look weird.

But yeah, I imagine this is like maybe this gets touched up because yeah, I think you guys,

you guys are right. Like these are going to be quick shots at the very beginning of this movie.

So yeah, like all of them in motion just feel weird.

Because there's yeah, BVO and be done with it. Can you go back to the the rogue quote-unquote

thing? What's going on with this? Oh, it takes on fire.

Hmm. Looks like you're probably got shot by Punisher in the ass, right? So it's like

billowing smoke. I liked it. I don't care what you say, Tim.

I'm excited to say, but I don't want to say it because it has one. It's a little potential

spoilery thing. So I'm going to tell it to you after this. Why don't we just say we can say
