He's now moved, he's picked up an extra shot, he's seven under par at the moment for the tournament, four under through seven holes. Wow, we saw something a brilliant start to today's round is second round. So he's two ahead of the chase and pack and the other Irish players out Tom McKibbin on three hundred and Rory McElroy one under. Philus in first of all, how you enjoying it? What's the experience like? Yeah, certainly a pick up on even yesterday's crowds talking to people around here this morning, they're expecting the full capacity, 20,000 before the day is out. So the course is looking in absolutely gorgeous condition. I came from the North Car Pack across from Marity Morris, his house for those that are local and know where it is. And it was certainly very, very full this morning, these double decker buses are running

1:00up and down the road. So the crowds are certainly increased and we were out on the third fairway when both Rory McElroy and Shane Larry passed up, they're in back to back groups, which means they're attracting a huge, huge crowd around the course this morning. The two of them are certainly the top draw. And as you're saying there, Larry's having a morning to remember, he's having a fantastic round. So wouldn't be fabulous if he had an int weekend, he was up at the top of the leaderboard ahead of all the action. It would be a hugely popular winner, obviously. So yeah, fantastic software on here. So far field will obviously be narrowed down this evening. And once that weekend, Cot is made, but the course looking absolutely beautiful and the imagery and everything of Doc Moore being up along towards the Claude and up the first side of the Quilty, they're absolutely gorgeous. So it's just, it's a fabulous, fabulous couple of days. Yeah. And as you say, look, hopefully it all continues in that manner and it'd be great if we had an Irish winner, certainly Shane Larry putting a good one together before the Cot is made right. So let's look ahead to the weekend in the two US Clare senior hurling championship Derek quarter final stage. No second chances for anyone and four quarter finals naturally enough, all of them live here

Let's first look at the double header Ed Zimmer by my par key soak tomorrow, Scarif against Clooney Quinn from three and then a five o'clock throw in for the meeting of Crattlo and I need to kill them. Oh, no. Yeah, two real crackers here and I was just putting our plans together for the weekend there and in it, I was just making note that it's winner on the day and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if either or both of these needed that to decide a winner. I think they're four fantastic quarter finals. It's say maybe the one where they're all going with tones might be going the way at the town is just because of the iron channel, her suspension, but all of the three are just absolutely unknife edge. Scarif and Clooney Quinn is a really, really good East Clare Derby. Obviously, Scarif had their injury concerns coming into it. Patrick Ryan, that be of it. Not being available along with the likes of Seani Hartkick and just coming back from injury. That's a bit of a blow for them, but then it's offset by the fact that the Rogers, brother, as Marrican Paul will be lining out together again. And I think they're just a brilliantly potent duo up front. But Clooney Quinn are looking very, very balanced. Very much you could argue that they have the strongest set of six backs in the county

3:04championship. Conor Grogan, Evan Maxte, John Cannelli, John Cattle, Terry Curel, like these lights are absolutely fantastically solid at the back. They've got Keith Hogan back in the goal. I think he's having a brilliant season. And for me, Gerry O'Connor is the break out star. Like we saw glimpses of him last year. I think he's really matured in Tessine or Claude Horler this year. And that's without mentioning the intercounty trio of Jack O'Neill, Ryan Taylor and Peter Doggan. I think they're just very, very balanced throughout. And in Fergill, they've got a pro, pro Clooney Quinn man who wants to drive them onto that next level, lost on the final last year. They'll want to get back there again and rectify that. So you'd give them the slight nod to do so. But again, as I say, like qualify all that, I said, not without a huge, huge battle. And I think it's just a fantastic way to start off the weekend that game. Well, about Crattle and I need to kill them owner. Yeah, this could be the tale of injuries as well. Podge Collins is a doubt for Crattle. No, he was out around here on Wednesday at the program. And I met one of his football teammates who shall remain nameless, but he asked the question,

4:07how will the hammers hold up around the junes for Podge now on this round? They were getting worried about him. So whether he's available or not remains to be seen, the obviously be huge football game the weekend after against the breakings and that litigation as well. So it's just it's the dual mandate. It's very, very difficult to manage, particularly when you start picking up these little knocks. But like it's amazing to think Crattle have gotten to the quarterfinals by virtue of two draws and a one point win. So that will tell you, this is a team that don't know when they're beaten and are not beaten easily. And as for I need to kill them owner, I think this will be their biggest test of character throughout the championship. So they showed really good signs of it the last day out. There were playing to Lara in a game in which they were qualified anyway, but Lara made a really good start to the game and I need to kill them all to ward them down to eventually go ahead before it was a level match with that last minute free from your honor. I'll have to make it to I think 20 points a piece on the day. So I think Eugene Conlon knows that in terms of meeting a season battle hardened championship team like they're going to get that from Crattle.

5:07So this could be a seminal game for I need to kill them all as development. I think when this and you hit the semifinals with a real bit of momentum, a real sense of steel about the way they're going to have to go about it. An on paper like I mean, they're sensationally stacked with talent. You tie down Ed McCarthy. You have to worry about Sean rain. If Shane Woods is man is getting the better of him. Well, then James Hagerty goes back to help Fred Hagerty is developing into a fabulous scene or horror corner in a solid corner back. You know, Emma Fudy is bummed 95 on the jackpots down the field. So they've got it all over. It's just about getting it together on a day, which they've been doing so far like their on beaten six of the age teams in the quarterfinals this weekend are on beaten throughout the season. And now that's a mixture of draws. It's run into that as well. So again, it's also tight. I fancy the any kill the morning from the outset. 6:08Erdogan, Wolftons and then the three time champions, most recently three years ago, Clon Lara facing Kilemaley from a quarter two five. Yes, not often champions get back to a quarter final under the radar. And I mean that the greatest sense of respect and people that have watched their role this year will know exactly what I mean by that. They've been so, so steady with opening absolutely brilliant because they haven't had to be. They've just again got that balance. The test they got against Scarif, I think really, really stilled them. They were very impressive. The last day against Broadford. And I think they're going to hit the quarter finals with a real bit of momentum. It's already a big ask for Wolftons to take them down, but doing without our own channel, I think might just be a stretch. No, they're, you know, they're intercounty contingent, Rory Hayes and the low hunts and Aaron Cunningham and these lads won't go down without a fight. But I just think your own will have too much. Clon Lara is just a superstar battle. Like I've really been impressed with the way Clon Lara have had it. A real bit of steel, real bit of character. It's the way they're going about things in recent years as well. So I think the battle of who picks up being Galvan and can anybody limit column Galvan's

7:10influence around that middle third because those two boys link up their brilliant. The emergence of German stretch and Michael Collins into senior players has been a joy to watch as well. So will they take the next step in that development and for Clon Lara, who did they detail to take down the memo that is Connor Cleary on that inside line? Who marshals Derek Keen who's been brilliant at wing back and aid McGuin and Colin, the brothers have been excellent in defense as well. They're so tidy and understated and everything that they do. So look again, it's a really tough one to call. I think on form maybe clearly just hold the upper hand, but again, extra time penalties. They're all going to be needed this weekend. So don't be one bit surprised if that's the way this goes. Okay, between the golf and the hurling you've planned to just squeeze into a sideline view from six. Yeah, we certainly do. 8:13We'll hear from him. I also got a chance to speak with you for mention Pudge Collins and also a very interesting chat with Galway great Joe Canning. He's actually a member here in Dunbagged. Didn't realize that lives talking to Porto Mnagrete. So he spoke about the course, but also got his thoughts on John Moilers group and their new proposals in terms of the trial rules for hurling, increasing. One of them is increasing the number of steps you can take it with the ball in hand from four to six, two points for a sideline. The 65 meter free now will move back to the off the defense of 65 and a couple of other bits and pieces as well. So got his thoughts on all those and a good chat as well.
