Stars Climb Power Rankings, Pacific Division Flounders

The 2025-26 NHL power rankings for week 20 are out, and the Dallas stars have climbed

to the top spot after a strong run.

They've earned points in 15 straight games since late January, putting pressure on the

Central Division leaders.

Carolina Hurricanes sit in second, Buffalo Sabers third, Colorado Avalanche fourth, and

Minnesota Wilde round out the top five.

Meanwhile, the Pacific Division is a total let down this season.

Teams like the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, Vegas Golden Knights, and Anaheim

Ducks have all dropped in the rankings with Vancouver at the very bottom in 32nd place.

Goldening woes and coaching changes have left the whole group scrambling, and their winner

might not even beat some wild car teams.

Fans of the New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues are enjoying late surges, though.

The Rangers have won four in a row behind Alexis LaFernare's Hot March, while the Blues

win seven wins, two losses, and one tie in their last ten.

Thanks to Jimmy Snuggarude and Joe Holfer, its bittersweet since playoffs are about a month

away, and these streaks won't get them in, but could build momentum for next year.

Tensions are high after Anaheim's Rack Kogutas delivered a neon knee hit that sideline

Tarantos Austin Matthews for the season.

In the middle, Detroit Red Wings fans are worried after slipping from playoff contention

without Dylan Larkin, echoing last year's heartbreak.

Tevbe Lightning are ice cold at three wins in their last ten, but New York Islanders

and Ottawa Senators are rolling with strong records pushing.
