1:01but a jocky underwear, 150 years of jocky underwear thing last night. Did you get your ID? You are pleased to know Maya that I did not model anything last night, but I did indeed get a pair of undies embroidered with the right initials on them. Were they a special pair? Would you just go for a nice black or white? No, just straight white. Sort of dark. Yeah, you'd have some. So I had a few hearts if you had some white ones, wouldn't you? I'm not like that white. And ahead of the weekend, I think it was just important to show the colors. You are very... I can't use the head of a big weekend. He's free, I'd say. Well, that's exactly it. So yeah, anyway, I didn't see any league last night. I didn't see any AFL either. Geez, that was a turn up for the books. Freeman's all getting absolutely pumped, but in any way, we look ahead to the weekend of sport. And obviously the all blacks is the big one. And the black ferns playing their first ever test in South Africa, which is significant. And it's been quite cool, because on the black ferns social media this week, they actually got to break bread with the South African women's team. And you could see what that meant to that South African women's team,

2:04just to be in the same space. And it was sort of like black ferns, South African. You alternated who you sat next to on that table. And it just shows how sport can bring people together and that it's bigger than just the game day experience. Some of these women probably idolized a lot of those ladies at it in that black ferns team. So I just thought there was such a cool experience heading into a very historic and significant game. Not only for the black ferns in the South African women, but obviously for the greatest rivalry toward the all blacks in spring box. It's a massive Sunday morning for rugby in general. And look, I think the black ferns on paper, you would think should do a number on South Africa. But I think it's probably bigger than kind of what happens on the park. It's just the fact that it's even happening for the first time in South Africa is just so significant for the women's game. And you know, that's a platform for them to build on and hopefully build the game over there and something bigger because I feel like it's kind of what what am I trying to say here.

3:04It kind of feels similar to what rugby league was internationally for a while. It was kind of the Kiwis Australia and England. And women's rugby wise, it's starting to branch out from just the black ferns. England, now you've got France, Canada are pretty good. Australia, we see get pumped by the black ferns quite often. But if they can just get more and more teams who are getting up to that level, it can only be a good thing and to take a game there and have a black ferns game in South Africa. A head of an enormous all blacks test, but let's just put that to the side. And a massive stadium like that, I think is significant for the women's game. And it would be amazing. If they could get 96,000 people ahead as a, I guess a curtain razor to this all blacks game that would be amazing. But for me, it just shows that this one game, sometimes you've got to take the sacrifice for the game, I think. And for the black ferns, I think you got likes of Amy Dupesy who's returning to really her birth country. And I saw something earlier this week. How proud she is to be a Kiwi,

4:06but what it means to play against South Africa in South Africa, seeing her grandad that turned up at the airport it shows that it's bigger than just sport. And we look at the likes of English Premier leagues, they come down to here to play the Auckland Fc and Wellington Phoenix. That's how I see this black ferns South Africa game. It's about like you said, building the culture, building the community around women's rugby. Yep, well said. There is also a pretty big fixture. Well, sorry, what was I going to say? What I was going to say before I get onto that was Grace Wiki, who we have later on in the show home, really looking forward to chatting to, because we were keen to get her earlier in the week when we were chatting about it, but still just good to have her on about the shape of Netball. And obviously she has signed a three-year deal with the new Sydney team, whose nickname escapes me, used to be the Swift's now. Sirens. Sirens, thank you very much from one edge to the other. She signed a three-year deal there, and that was what last week I think it was, that was announced.

5:07Yes. Well, earlier this week they come out with the fact that privatisation is the way forward for the ANZI Premier League. So I'm keen to learn from you would say our biggest name in Netball. Is that fair to say? Yeah, sure. Yeah. I would say she probably is. King to hear from her. Just about that whole kind of landscape at the moment and how she feels about it. Well, these discussions would have happened prior to last week. So this Suncourt Super Netball, as well as the what do you call it? Netball Super League in the UK had to have all their teams and by the 31st of August. And I would like to think, I don't think many of them would actually stay in New Zealand. In particular, the ones that have gone to Australia, it's seen as this SSN comp is the world's best league for Netball. So even though I feel like a lot of them would say they want to come home, I genuinely believe. Deep down there. Deep down. If they could get an opportunity over there, there was nothing that could entice you to stay

6:09apart from maybe mothers with kids. Yeah, right. OK. Well, I'm keen to hear from her about that. Michael says what happened to Auckland last night in the NPC? Well, I don't know what's going on with Auckland. Man, they are, let's be honest, they are a basket case of a team at the moment. 28-12 to Tarnaki, beaten by Canary in the first round and a close encounter. Beat Wellington, but it's not saying much is it. Beat and by Hawkes Bay, North Harbour and Bay of Plenty as well. Not any of them have been, you know, monumental thrashings, but to be one and five through six games for a monumental province like Auckland is a bit of a headscratcher. And what's interesting about this NPC table for me, your big urban city. So you've got Auckland, you've got Wellington and Canary is not doing too bad in consideration, but they're all outside of the top eight. So what is it about these provinces?

7:11Is it that provincial pride? Is it people returning home from their Super rugby teams? What is it about Auckland, Wellington and Canary? That just is falling flat. Yeah, I'm not quite sure the answer to that question because I've been trying to wrap the end of it as well. It's a funny old NPC season, but I think a good one, we've spoken about it a few times, but a good one to see the top of the table dominated by other teams this time. I know we're going to chat about this shortly in the agenda, but it'll be a great occasion tonight. The bunnies against the roosters, J-Aros, official 100th game when he gets to run on with the bunnies, then obviously get subbed off, but that's going to be a massive occasion. And then obviously the worry is buying four top spot in the minor premiership in this place. Full-time sports bar in Auckland will be absolutely rock in tomorrow night as well, Mounts-Merts stadium. Oh, we've been talking about it here with the staff here at full time. That's, I feel like it's old-timers day for the warriors. So you've got a lot of people in town. I knew they were going to captains run at the warriors today

8:13and then a lunch. So I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people post-game and pre-game are coming to full-time sports bar. What interests me the most is obviously the final game with Penrith and the West Tigers on Sunday will be the penultimate factor on who comes out top of that ladder and will be minor premiers. So I feel like Andrew Webster is going to be sitting in his couch really mulling over how that's going to impact our wars. Well, yeah, you would say the Penrith Panthers should do an absolute number on the West Tigers on Sunday night. And they've named near enough their best team. Well, a pretty darn good team anyway. There are one or two who are perhaps sitting out, but other than that pretty bloody strong Penrith side. So you'd think by weekends end, they would have boosted their points different by some margin. So the warriors might have to do the same. I think on tomorrow night against the Manly Seagals. Yeah, but the Tigers didn't they beat the Dolphin?

9:15No, the Tigers beat the Roosters only two rounds ago. So if there's anyone just to be a pain in the bum, I feel like Jerome Bluer is going to take that card and be like, yes, sir. I hope you are wrong, Maya. I hope you're wrong. I'd love to see the warriors lift that minor premiership. I think it would be just deserved for the way that they have played this season.
