They're not as good as this team even though They uh played like they were the night before and the other part is if Eric Spolscher starts this starting lineup again I'm literally gonna take a protest signs outside of the arena You can't you can't you can't right you can't Brady you can't tell me you can't you can't um He can against the tanking teams that are coming up on the schedule because it doesn't make a difference in those games He can't against good teams. They they it just it can't happen against they're just going to get absolutely torched teams that know how to play basketball offensively that can figure this out um just in general um I mean we could go down the line number one They just couldn't match the size defensively against that Cleveland team I'm lucky at like what they're able to do

4:12Defensively like they're rolling out that mobility Alan thing I mean, I think immediately everybody was thinking More aware bam in this game and they weren't able to get to that enough They got to for like a short pocket in the second quarter vote and that they weren't able to stay into that So they were just running throwing the ball over the top to Alan throwing the ball over the top to mobility hard And did a really good job for them Uh as you mentioned, I mean they were picking on pal and hero which is going to happen in those lightups And I thought the biggest story because the defense we knew was going to be cooked The defense is going to be cooked when they run that lineup But as I say before if you're going to run that lineup and you know, you're going to get cooked defensively You better score you better go figure out the offense thing and they haven't and I'm watching that weights the tonight I mean this this game was exactly This was like if there was a game five to the Cleveland series last year in the playoffs like this was exactly the same thing Like a blowout the way they defended them Uh And I just thought they they went into this game with the game plan they did in that series where it was like Let me just take Tyler completely at it Let me just

I would gladly take that take Tyler out of the equation and just go make you play four on four Um, it was kind of expected when they got over in power that it's like okay Well, they have a secondary score that teams can't do it as much but They don't operate off of each other well enough to make that work So it we're kind of just beating a dead horse here We're talking about the same topics over and over the lack of size defensively in this game And then offensively not having enough talent but like you said there was a couple times this game I was saying to myself like Embarrassing effort like they I just thought they didn't have enough effort But then it's also like they just don't have to talentically Like it's just it's a different level of talent So it's it's a little bit effort, but it's just where the roster is

It was very familiar But let me go through this starting lineup again because like I said I feel like this game was over in the first five minutes Four or five minutes So here are the numbers on these guys Davy on Mitchell was one of six from the floor two points Four rebounds four assists four turnovers in 24 minutes Hero 31 minutes four 13 from the floor 11 points it this only works if Powell and hero shoot the lights out that's the thing and against the team like that Like they have to be better than Mitchell and Harden For this to work Against the team that has better biggs And even on a night tonight where Mitchell and Harden were not great They combined to go five of 21 still not Still not enough norm Powell tonight 15 points five of 10 from the floor 25 minutes Bam was three of 14 from the floor. He's had a couple clunkers from a efficiency standpoint recently

7:1914 points three of 14 from the floor one of eight from three a lot of threes again Wiggins 12 points in 20 minutes They got more production off the bench. There was a little bit of a pocket there in the third quarter where they kind of made a push They got it down from like 30 something to the teams Hakez Larson had something to do with that a little bit of fun tecchio in there Alex, I mean It's talent right, but is he deploying the talent the best way when he's starting with a A smurf group That's one way to put it Yeah, I've been skeptical about this lineup To begin with after seeing the results and kind of the play style and what they're trying to be out there I just don't really see a cohesive unit so far in the minutes that we have seen This unit and that pairing with Powell and hero. I just I don't see the vision, you know Not only is like are you taking a hit on the on the defensive side when you're starting those guys But the offense is literally not getting better like tonight in just under 15 minutes

8:21You know, they had a 110 offensive rating, which is Not anything to be like that impressed by while giving up 140 defensive rating on the other end They got out scored by a bunch. She was like a negative 30 net rating And yeah, it's like what you said at the three point shooting isn't there if you're not getting scoring and You know a little bit of playmaking I just It doesn't come together the way that you would want it to the way they're trying to do it It's it's a little bit of that my turn your turn um And if you're just not making the offense better what's the point of all this really that's what it comes down to because the defense is not possible The defense is not possible with that unit you go up against a bigger team like Cleveland tonight um Like I understand that he wanted to try to Get some more reps for the unit, but it was one thing playing against Cleveland when it was um you know They started four guards the other night Versus now back to the mobile and Alan from court Like that just makes it so much tougher to deploy that unit and look like mobile is not gonna

9:25Post up Wiggins 50 times the game and destroy you like that But you know like that's not necessarily why I don't like the lineup. I just don't think it necessarily works Right like it's less about the one-on-one match up to me and more about the way that it all comes together When things actually play out and I just don't see the vision for the way that this lineup is currently being deployed Has he ever changed starting line-ups after win When ever when the same players are healthy. I feel like I've never seen it It felt like he wasn't gonna make an adjustment To Alan starting because they're coming off a win, right? Am I my wrong about that Brady? Can you ever remember him changing starting line-ups off a win? I mean there has to be some example went off the top of my head I mean he's not reactionary based on The opponent of trying to match up with them where he tries to hold his own ground with his roster and tries to make them adjust But I mean Cleveland's not going to adjust that lineup is going to eat you alive because they that's Been their consistent group. I mean that's kind of been what they've done with the double big thing and the kind of the the guard place

10:30So yeah, I mean, I that was immediately what I thought I didn't think they're gonna switch starting lineup Because I didn't think he would go to where starting just because of that But I think it was kind of needed. I mean they were they were small at the gate And I you knew that Cleveland was get attacked literally if you go back and watch the opening possession of this game It was a play call where they just sent mogul into the mid post and it sent Alan back side And it was like a high low action for them and he just threw it over the top down and Alan got an easy one Yeah, that's what's kind of gonna happen in these this situation when you're going smaller So yeah, I don't really remember many situations Now then there's also the flip side this which I think I say a lot, but it's I'm being honest like yeah They start wearing a match of a little better Still think they get blown out in this game like I think they match up a lot better defensively But offensively they they aren't matching that skill set on the other side of things So like is it changing the outcome this game? 18:45That's not happening like when you think about these past heat teams They just had such great role player shooting where they were able to find nights where Tyler could have an off game or bam could have an off game and they could still pull through because of that because of just shooting And I'm watching it tonight and I'm like they just don't have the ability like Fontechio Is a good shooter, but he's not the specialist that has the gravity of pulling guys over and just lighting it up like that Kaz I think you know supposed mentions one of their best shooters But still teams are not respecting him as a three point shooter that degree like they're still honestly helping off of him at certain points In games so like I'm just watching what Max is doing it just kind of puts in perspective I mean they've lost two of them obviously and they they've done a good job filling that hole because they find guys on You know draft the market and but I think that that hole needs to be filled pretty soon Like if they're gonna do it through that department which I'd rather them use a pick on it like maybe they can get a specialist Maybe in the second round this year something we'll see what they do, but Yeah, that's just like another thing. That's like it offensively when you're already offensively challenged And then you like having like no ability of like generating some type of like crazy like streaky shooter to get going

19:51You're just putting yourself in a much tougher position Um Thomas Bryant tonight have what was it he ended up with 11 points at 14 minutes plus four rebounds You know Keon Ellis would have been a good heat player Really would have a good heat player. He's he fits what the heat do Had a good night tonight also how many how many more do they need? No, I'm sure they have a lot of heat players. They just don't have a lot of stars. That's the problem I Do for this team It's it's funny watching struts do this And I'm not saying they should a page true. So it's you're talking 63 million dollars over four years Whatever and again, he's missed a lot of time Uh, but watching him do this and then I'm thinking okay, and now The heat are gonna be investing $60 million in two guards. 20:55He's still been effective as a general score, but he's not giving you that same juice As just a shooter that he was giving you originally like we know that Tyler is a great shooter But he is not a specialist by any means that it's not like the first thing he's trying to get to is just put up 10 threes a game like His game is a little bit more Well-rounded offensively. So I do think the specialist point is right, but it's just so frustrating that We have to even bring that up as a thing because it's like they have no They don't have consistent offense. So we're over here yearning for the days of specialists because it's like man At least when we had Duncan you can you could press the Duncan handoff buttons and you're gonna create some action You maybe you could uh, you know get a three for Duncan in the early days before they started running him off the line Like I definitely missed some of those actions too just from the the simplicity of it It's like they they would create offense off of that stuff and now like there's just so much of a struggle like you're not you're not getting great offense Out of the guys that you need them from You know, it's got another mixed bag of results right there is what hero and at norm have been

21:58Recently, um, you know, you're not getting like the bam scoring nights every night It just feels like I'm not even sure what this team is trying to be at this point, right? Like other than like what we know that they want to be on defense. That hasn't been the case consistently Right, so like we know that they've been like They've ranked highly in defensive rating throughout the season But when you look at them when you watch the games on their healthy, they Against good teams against good teams against good teams against good team But say you've made this point before and so is Brady If they're really trying to compete this year, then why not lean into the defense And just stop the hero power thing I he cannot cannot can I'm just gonna keep saying this He cannot roll the two of them out there at the two in the three spots. He can't If he wants to experiment with them in the back court and put Davie on in the bench and put another wing out there Okay, maybe we see what that looks like, but he cannot put it's not Davie on's fault But he cannot put the two of them out there with Davie on they're going to lead forward every single time He might have to lean towards more of a hard stagger

23:00We're like it not just what they were doing before where one comes comes off the bench But it's like you're trying to minimize as much as you can the amount of time that they're playing to get there Because they're going to play together even if one comes off the bench So I mean bringing one off the bench is a good start to try to do that That's kind of a good way to play that together Don't play them together at the two in the three. That's all I'm saying like they don't need a point guard out there with them If look if they're going to if they're if they're going to move If they're going to play together, they got to learn how to play off of each other anyway Right look up to me. It's a lost cause. Okay, and you can't you can't pay norm now because you're you're got heroes Contract into the off season. So that's kind of where they're at and I think that's affecting this No, because if you're norm, you know that right? See there's the human element of this too that we never know No, but nor okay, they're just gonna let him walk now like that. This is what we're gonna do now Do they have to because they're look there was a point this season and we thought he was gonna get extended early in the season There was a point this season that it looked like okay hero was out

24:00They were gonna try to move Tyler. They did try to move Tyler unfortunately, Janice there wasn't moving right They were gonna try they were gonna try to move Tyler and then you were you were gonna keep norm and Resign norm and then you had a more veteran team and you were gonna go forward with it That didn't happen. It's not gonna happen So now they've leaned back into Tyler. They've got norm norm knows now This is a place he likes he wanted to stay at he thought he was gonna get extended at Just like he thought the clippers were gonna extend him he knows now that the likelihood of him getting extended has decreased significantly You don't think that affects the guy's play I think it does okay? This typically affects guys playing they talk about it after so they have a mess They have a mess there and so slamming the two of them together at the two and the three and being undersized every night Is not the solution try them perhaps at the one in the two put Tyler back at the point I know he's not a point Put Tyler back at the point play that play them at the one in the two get some different actions going on and at least put two wings out there

25:02At least put Larson and Wiggins out there okay, and and so you're still small, but you're not as small right I'm okay with that. I just think you got to like bring down those minutes. Go. Yeah I mean, I'm not against that the only thing that I think you're wrong about is that I don't know if they should be playing the one in the two next to each other either But if need be yeah, I agree like they there's no there's no reason There's no reason why Gabion should be the the glue piece in the Tyler doing minutes like it just shouldn't happen And even more so than like giving the normal lineup that we all know Pella Wiggins and Bayon um I wouldn't mind them going to Bayon and where not saying that that's better defensively because I still feel like they'll put Either Tyler norm in a pick and roll and with where defending and I but they can work around that stuff Where I just think they're missing size like where they could just wall up around the basket a little bit more When you're running those lines of so like yeah, like that that's definitely the way to go about it I'm also at a point now and Ethan you made this point a couple weeks ago or maybe it was sooner

26:03Where I'm almost getting closer to the starting Caz thing like that just with yeah kind of this where the seasons going right now And I'm just like watching the way these games are going I'm like I'd rather just start him and one of Tyler norm and then just kind of see where this rest of the season goes Here's here's where I would go right now and I said this so yeah, I did say so we go Kaz Tyler okay see see how it looks All right and at least get at least get some physicality next to Tyler right Kaz Tyler Larson Wiggins Bam All right come off the bench with where Hawk is Davian he's not playing Drew anyway So uh Hawk is where Davian and norm All right just just go with that all right because he if you're not resigning norm anyway There's no reason to start him and I know we have others and I I respect eternal opinion as I say Well, you don't need you don't don't bring either in the back Tyler is under contract okay, so as of right now Tyler is is until they trade him We've talked about the seven straight-off seasons until they trade him

27:06He's still here, so but if he's not a part of your long-term future Why is that getting in the way of your short-term decisions? I agree, but that's why I say start Kaz that that I agree with But that's my thing I think that also applies to the norm conversation and of course to like whatever like just a general team building Whether draft wise whether who do you extend If you're not if you're not considering Tyler a part of your long-term Well, would you start Wiggins then still cuz Wiggins has a player option, but he may opt out and be gone Would you start Wiggins, but that's I don't think spoke things like that I don't think spoke is thinking about player options You know, I think he's just thinking about who he thinks is the best fit out there to help him win the game That night and that's why you don't see a lot of Kaz and where Starting you know like as much as we and other fans want to see that it just feels like that's not where we're headed I'm I'm I'm into it. I just don't see Like and I also again, like I don't want spoke to continue with this lineup But there's only so much he can do like I and that's not me saying he should continue to go with this lineup

28:08I'm saying like for people getting mad at spoke for trying this line about like this team was made Before that too Like I get why people are just overall frustrated More than understand it because this this team has just become this frustrating like mess of Of an experience where they're trying to you know that they're trying to balance the line there Like on a tight rope and they keep falling one way like they're they're like this close to falling off the tight rope with this With these two timelines. They're trying to manage right like you don't know what they're going for They're obviously not a team that can compete for even a first round win right like it's just But yet they don't play the young guys and you think they're supposed to be good at defense They have a good defensive rating all year, but they're actually not that good at they're probably more of an above average defense And an elite one if we're being real With which foe and bam, you know the other good defenders on the team have managed to cover up Um overall this is just not a very good team and I feel like it's it's been visible for a while now But man this gauntlet of of

29:08Games versus these good teams is really has really exposed them I'll read the comment here. We always appreciate the donations here. I reported that Okay, they tried to steal him away and Seattle You know somebody could throw him a crazy amount of money To be an expansion team, you know general manager president and head coach, you know So I never put it past it, but I think I think he's likely going to be in South Florida for a while I do so I don't think either of them is going anywhere They got to figure out a way to align on it because there is I'm not saying there's dissension between the two and the but clearly bam wants to win now Right the organization is kind of featuring younger players And Spowe is kind of caught in between and I'm not really sure what it is. He's trying to accomplish let's go through The let's go through the schedule here and the standings as we speak I don't know if anything's changed since I looked this up But right now the heater 10th We'll close with this the heater 10th. They're a half game behind the magic and the hornets the magic have looked awful lately The hornets look great the hornets just beat the mix They're rising the sixers got mb back. They've already lost the tiebreaker to Toronto They're currently three games back in the lost column to Toronto two games back overall They've got that last game against Atlanta and it looks like the hawks are gonna want that game unless They're already locked into either five or six and it's about positioning and they may not want to be six If they don't want to face the team that's three we've seen that oh my name not wb five if they don't want They don't like their matchup against St. Cleveland. I don't know which one they want but we've seen that before um To me the heat have to go seven and one the rest of the way To get out of the plan That's the number. I think they got to be at 46
