Aug 10 -
You are Zeus come again.
You are healed and reborn
Now with all your strength
That never left you,
You who have found
How to proclaim your immanence
Above the sea
Below the clouds
Everywhere the heart beats,
The blood flows,
And the nectar noses sweet
And sweeter still to taste.
You eat the flowers
Like a madwoman
But they heal you
And you walk with even legs once more
To birth a girl to save the world
As Pluto moves to where they need to be
And we stand once more,
Forever more, to rite.

Write After: National Poetry Month with One Poem Only
Write After is a way to encourage poets to listen and write, and use National Poetry Month to highlight how listening to poetry makes us better poets. I know I write the best when I’m surrounded by beautiful poetry–it’s part of the reason I created this podcast, and I want to encourage others to share this practice. We'll get started in April. You can share to #WriteAfterOPO.
