This year was a life to have a baguette's share on Cannonball Island. And it will be a great addition to our event and the lineup of cars. We've also got a couple of nice hypercars like Senra's and a GT F4 GT as well, which is really, really good. It's a very proud moment to see us and join the event in the 17 years we've been working on Cannonball and building it. And every year the cars just got that live with better. We also have a lot of Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. They're all big crowd-pleasers. It's always just exciting as a car and who's just a CQR register. It's a very much like a surprise for a company on a daily basis. We have 212 cars in this year's event in total. So it's one of our larger ones. The light is now with it with the response from everybody. And I'm really excited to come into Canada Claire again. We're here last year as well. The Cannonball will be passing through Claire on Saturday afternoon, stopping off at the folds and any stymon.
So what can the people of Claire expect? Probably we travel through a kind of Claire. You'll see a convoy of very exciting colorful cars. A car is like Ferrari's Porsche's Lamborghini's Mazurazus. And you will see all the cars up close at the commit gennestymons for our lunchtime at the F4 GT F4. We've all departing reserved in their third the cars because it's quite tight. But they're very excited around the entrance and along that route. And we make a way there from there to Bonratting for a recoup before we finish and remember it's that nice. Then we could have the big finish line up as well. So quite exciting, but really can't declare it would be our second time in a row to come back. And we also have another event lined up for can't declare in November or four by four events. So yeah, can declare a seal out of Canibal, this year. There's 450 crew members and participants involved in getting Canibal up and running for this annual event.
I guess can you tell us logistically how this gets organized? Well, I suppose to give you some figures is 450 participants into the additional 60 crew. So we 500 and 10 people to try and manage. You know, it's about it's aboutfully planning from one end of the year together, which believe we're working on 27 28. We've always worked a couple of years ahead with amazing experience crew. And they know what to do. We break it like down to production crews and to the other three and target persons. You know entertainers and entities. They all come into town. Build up this amazing finish line plug into our screens. You know, wire up all the speakers and then it becomes like, you know, a real carnival atmosphere. Our DJ comes over from the UK every year. She's been on Canibal for three or four years now at this stage. We are currently. So the event for all the other kind of energy and to as well, it all kind of work like colorful car to stick apart.
The atmosphere of the last thing. And to free event for people to attend the early period. I ask you something makes the nation to our charity, which is one of the kind of house for sure. A big part of it, I guess, is the fundraising. It's not just about seeing these fantastic cars. It is about the charity. So can you tell us why this year the recipient is Ronald McDonald House? Over the years since we started in 2009, we've worked with multiple children's charity. So I think, you know, it's important to spread it around. And Ronald McDonald has approached us a good number of years. Well, we said we definitely both consider it was one for the future. I was both that time has come now. We're excited about parking with them because I think they're really, really good charity. And their new facility is a 52 bedroom house and it's open very soon. And that's in a lot of facility for families from all around the country to use. If they have a child that's in Elend and to be the overnight. And I don't even get the tour of what you see how important that is.
We're looking forward to supporting over the next couple of years. And we hope to make a big difference to the charity. Over the years, Cannonball has already raised 2.28 million euro for Irish children's charities. As the founder, how important is it that you continue to see this annual growth in supporting charities? It's a big figure, but the figure that we're not going to rest on yet was very driven to make. That's only for our charity partners. Hopefully this year that will cross to 2.5 and part of confidence. Well, we're at 2.3 now, actually. And I think, you know, and that's made up from a number of days like book of corrections, charity, auction donations. When you put together an event like Cannonball and you bring it to a town, to see the support for people is amazing. And it's great because we have our auctions and we raise them to, you know, a series of money for our charity.
And that money is, we are with the system, we're going into something very tangible. So something like, well, I'm not going to have to have this thing bring it by a brick, you know. So it's great to walk by and say, well, look, you know, Cannonball and in the two year partnership or a three year partnership of that charity has some raised, some renderings until 600,000. And as, you know, a chunk of that building has been paid by our event. That's a very rewarding thing. And I suppose it would make you proud to be involved with something like that. And I think all our participants will be proud to even buy that building and pay for a chunk of that. There's an economic benefit as well to the towns and regions that the Cannonball will pass through. There's an estimated benefit of approximately 2.5 million euro. This is incredible. Can you tell us about that? That is over a period. So what we would normally do is we do an economic impact report in every couple of years.
So for instance, we've carried one out last year for Sligo. And to give you an idea for one evening in Sligo between our direct spend, which is like 265 hotel bedrooms, 450 people. Does a direct spend there or less, but to secondly spend is very interesting. So the report on so a lot of people who attend and Cannonball are the mainly families. And because the free event, you know, most people will probably spend time in the area. So, you know, when you bring in the event and you put on a good show and you have to 110 cars, 250 cars. It attracts thousands of people just going to be definitely a benefit of the economy as a result of our live event finishing there. Well, all the information about this year's event would be on our website, which is Cannonball.ie, our social media, which is Cannonball Ireland, Facebook and Instagram. We'll have a live tracker over the weekend. You can see exactly how far we are from the phone hotel. You'll see exactly what we're on.
And on our website, we have a very, very cool new feature for you to phone. And it'll give you a voice recording of where we are. It'll text you the live location. So all of that is on our website and our social media.
