T.Y. Hilton Retires from NFL

Former Indianapolis Colts star-wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has officially retired from the NFL.

The 36 year old made the announcement on social media after not playing since the 2022 season.

Over his 11 year career, he racked up 638 receptions for 9,812 yards and 53 touchdowns.

In 146 games.

Hilton spent most of his time with the Colts from 2012 to 2021 before a short stint with

the Dallas Cowboys and his final year, where he appeared in just three games.

He earned four pro-bowl nods from 2014 to 2017, often teaming up with quarterback Andrew

Luck for big plays.

Fans and analysts remember Hilton as one of the team's top performers, helping the Colts

reach the AFC championship game in 2014.

His speed and elusiveness made him a fan favorite, earning him the nickname The Ghost, despite

standing just five feet 10 inches and weighing one 183 pounds.

In 2016, Hilton led the entire league with 1,448 receiving yards.

He ranks high in Colts history, tie for third in receptions with 631, third in yards with

9,691, and fourth in touchdowns with 53.

With his cleats hung up, many see Hilton as a strong candidate for the Colts ring of

honor down the road.

It's been a great run, and he certainly earned a relaxing retirement.
