But even with winter on the horizon, there's a crew of volunteers stepping up. Team Rubicon, a group led by veterans, is on the ground working to build emergency shelters and clear land so these shelters can go up. They're aiming to have plenty ready before the cold really sets in. The community here has been amazing, offering places to stay and even free showers for the volunteers. Team Rubicon's plan was to split into two groups, one clearing land and the other building shelters. However, strong winds have thrown a wrench in things, forcing them to pause some operations and focus on clearing fallen trees that are blocking. Roads The biggest hurdle right now isn't the weather though, it's the burned out vehicle scattered across the land where they want to build. Team Rubicon doesn't have the heavy equipment needed to move these wrecks and they're asking for public help.

1:01They've identified about 10 burned out vehicles across five different sites. Anyone with a tractor or other heavy machinery who's willing to land a hand is needed. Team Rubicon will guide volunteers on where to go and what needs to be moved. They're hoping to get these vehicles out of the way so they can get back to clearing land and constructing those much needed shelters.
