Team USA knocked out the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic semi-finals

with a tight win in Miami.

The game turned into a pitcher's duel early on, but a key home run from Roman Anthony

gave the Americans the edge they needed to hold on.

The Dominican squad jumped ahead first, but their bats went quiet after that.

Star hitter Juan Soto had a tough night, going zero for four at the plate in a rare

off-performance for him.

Even in defeat, the Dominican players kept spirits high, walking off with music playing and smiles

on their faces. Soto focused on the big picture, praising the team's talent and energy through

the whole tournament. That roster packed some of baseball's top sluggers, and they lived up to the

height most of the way. One loss did not dim their strong run overall. Now eyes turned to the next
