Tomorrow in Hollywood tie town, they're gunning for a Guinness World record with pad tie.

The plan is to serve and sell 1,200 plates of the stir fry noodles in just 60 minutes.

This kicks off at 10 a.m. during the 17th Thai New Year festival, also known as Songkran

on Sunday, April 26th.

Tickets run $38 and come with your own plate to chow down on.

35 restaurants will fire up massive walks outdoors to pull this off, feeding a huge crowd

all at once.

The festival runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. packing in 5 stages of food, music, a beer garden,

and even boxing matches.

Organizes from the DS9 market, who've been hitting this event for years, pitched this

bold idea to shake things up after 16 years of the usual, they're pumped, calling it

totally doable and epic, all to shine a light on the tight knit Thai community.

They first eyed Mangal sticky rice since its vegan and crowd pleasing, but ditched for

being tricky to prep and bulk and not screaming Thai enough.

By name, Pad Thai won out as the perfect symbol of unity and flavor.
