The 8 Forms of Wealth Model I Teach to My Billionaire Clients

About this episode

Most (not all!) of the billionaires, celebrity CEOs and famous entrepreneurs that have come to me for mentoring over the past 3 decades have one thing in common: they are ultra-rich yet happiness poor.

It’s just the reality. They are obsessed with success, needy for more and consumed with making their disruptive visions come to life. Nothing else matters for these humans.

I help them grow even bigger, better, more inventive companies while showing them proven systems and protocols to slow down, get super healthy, fill their days with more love and handcraft beautiful personal lives.

One of the ways I mentor them in achieving this delicate balance include teaching them, in heavyweight detail and with advanced advice, The 8 Forms of Wealth model so that they viscerally understand that money is only one form of wealth. This, then, causes them to pursue the other forms of abundance (wellness, family, service to others for example) leading to far deeper feelings of fulfillment. And significant increases in their sense of freedom.

My latest book “The Wealth Money Can’t Buy” is full of fresh ideas and original tools that I’m absolutely certain will cause quantum leaps in your positivity, productivity, wellness, and happiness. You can order it now by clicking here.

Hi, it's Robin Sharma and welcome to Daily Mastery. This is my short form podcast. We're all walk you through the insights, methodologies and tactics that I've shared with many of the world's most successful people as their mentor, including celebrity billionaires, NBA superstars, world-class artists, and global humanitarians. I hope you find great value in today's episode. What's a great life? So many of us are looking for guidance on, is it about family, is it about wellness, is it about meaning, is it about connecting to our soul's purpose, and I want to offer you some ideas. I have a framework, it's called the Eight Forms of Wealth. It's something I've taught to my top clients for over 20 years, and I've embedded it into my book The Wealth Money Can't Buy. Let me

walk you through them. The first form of wealth is growth. If you are growing and materializing your gifts and your talents and getting wise or each day, you have a currency money cannot buy. Second form of wealth is wellness. Health is wealth, and you don't believe me, just watch what happens when someone loses their health. Everything is all about getting it back. So protect your health, your longevity, your sleep, your energy. Third form of wealth is family. So build a great career, be a great crafts person, push wonderful value into the marketplace that delights all witnesses at the same time. Don't reach the mountaintop of success completely alone. My life family is such an important source of my joy. Fourth form of wealth is craft. So no matter what you do, whether you run an empire, whether you sweep a street, do it with pride, do it with devotion, see the reverence in your work,

study your work, try to make it better each and every day. Fifth form of wealth is money. Money allows you freedom and the opportunity to do nice things for people you adore. Six form of wealth. That's community. You become your ecosystem. You become your conversations. Your life looks a lot like the people you surround yourself with. You want a better life, surround yourself with higher thinking, greater performing human beings. The seventh form of wealth is adventure. The human brain craves novelty. You don't want to get into a rut. You want to try a new way to get to work. You want to read books that frighten you or delight you. You want to, if usually you eat Italian food, try Vietnamese food for dinner tonight. Then the seventh form of wealth is service. I think to give your life over to some kind of a cause to wake up in the morning and say, here's a mission that I'm on. And it's bigger than me. It's a great source of joy and psychic wealth. So if you're asking me,

Robin, what is a rich life all about? I would say it's those things. There's your framework. Or rather, our society says pursue FFA, fame, fortune, and applause. And I think the real game is pursuing J.P.F. Joy, peace, and freedom. Off the top of my head, I would say if you can slow down and notice simple pleasures, could be a breeze, it could be a bird song, it could be a beautiful piece far in the gallery. That is a great source of meaning. I would say you can deepen love with your family and with your friends and deepen relationships with the people that you work with or your customers. It's a great source of purpose and meaning that will flood your life with more joy. Kindness is a great way to live a richer life. Just a conversation with someone who you may not know leaves them better and leaves you feeling happier. So those are some of my rumour nations on what makes a rich life and I hope that they're helpful to you.
