often requires walking through difficult seasons, she brings a grounded, honest perspective on
independence, resilience and self-leadership. Andrea, welcome to the show.
Thank you very much. Well, thank you so much for joining us. So to kick us off, can you expand
a touch more on where you are today with your business and who is it that you love to work with?
Thanks for the question. Well, actually, I think if you are doing something for quite a long time,
there are times when you feel that you need to restart it. Sometimes you want to just stop,
because you get tired of the problems or you just get maybe too comfortable. That's also an
option here. But what I did about, I would say one and a half years ago, I just pushed pause and I
said, okay, I want to stop everything that looks familiar to me and I want to do it very differently.
So that was basically my original idea. From the smallest things, from the pen I used or to the
clothes that I wore or to the country where I lived, I wanted to change everything in my life.
And I said, let's see how it works. And this is the process that I mean.
This is so interesting. So always little things and then the big things. So yeah, the country you
live in, the pen you use. These are polar opposites. There are so much that goes into this.
So with your clients, those people reach out to you. What are they looking for help with?
What maybe not what you know they need? What do they want?
I think the people who reach out to me, they want to change. They want to see what else is out there
for them. Typically, they are in their midlife. And typically, they are women. Of course,
there are men as well, plenty of men. But I just found this pattern happening, you know, that
women in midlife who want to find their own authentic voice. And they are not patient anymore.
They want to do it now instead of waiting for another decade or another, I don't know, a couple of
years. So they come to me because they see an example. They see that you can actually do it if
you really want to. And I think I can help them with this.
So let's talk about that moment of choice because yeah, that moment. I think women, especially as
you, where so many more hats than men traditionally, parenting, family, jobs, there's so much more
responsibility. And all of this can lose ourselves in these roles and realise then, who am I? I mean,
you're on the unforgettable show, unforgettable yourself. Remember, remember you in this in your
life. But we forget our preferences, our boundaries, what we want to do, what we love. So what's
that moment of choice like when those women are like, okay, dammit, yes, I need to change, I need
something, but I'm not not quite sure what it is. Yes, it's something like this. I think
there are usually moments, as you said, moments when when women feel or I, okay, I don't want to
just talk about women because it's not only women, but but people usually feel that maybe they missed
a promotion or maybe they get sick or maybe they lose someone they love. And I could go on and on,
you know, there is a moment, you know, something like like a threshold, they feel that they need to
do something, they need to cross the boundary, they need to speak up now or never. And when they
feel that, there is no stopping anymore. And this is the moment where I like to connect with my
clients because I'm there for them to challenge them and also support them. And this is a very,
very good role I love to play because, you know, I love to see people thrive and grow from week to
week, usually. I heard very recently that we're coming where we're as from, that we're all
always in a moment of transition. Some are so small, some you can't see it. Some, and I think it
was a very woo podcast. The, the, the host was talking about your body knows when you're going
through a transition before you do. So there's, there's some energy, there's some resistance,
there's things start to happen. But these moments that you said, there's maybe a loss, but there's
definitely a transition. What's what are the emotions that your clients feel in this moment of
the crossover, if you will, the time before they enter that new, their new selves or they find their
new selves? There are many things that are in my mind right away because you mentioned first of all
the body. I think when we get to midlife, we tend to experience our, our body differently.
Either because, you know, you start having some issues, some back pain, some neck pain,
some pain here or there, or you just feel that you are not comfortable anymore. And actually,
my own transition started somewhere there because when I moved to Cyprus to, to this new country
and beautiful Mediterranean island, I started living a more active lifestyle. And within one, one
year, I lost 20 kilograms, which is quite a lot. And it started all with walking, walking, walking,
one step after another. So I think the listening to your body and really focusing on what your
body tells you, that's, that's a very important moment. And many, many people, they come either because
they experience something like that or maybe they want to experience something like that, that they
want to feel differently in their body. So this is one thing that I would definitely mention here.
And I could go on and on. So I give you a chance to ask another question because I would like
to go back on track. That's good. Well, no, that your on track, the body, listen to your body,
because yeah, in these times where, I mean, for me, mid 40s, my body is a bit different than it was
back in the 20s. It's harder to put a muscle now. There are these aches and pains that kind of come
on. It's, it changes for all of us. And again, women, you have more change with pain, menopause,
and menopause. There's a lot that happens hormonally. So we are never going to be the same,
comes out in episode last week. We said, you're never going to be the same person that you were
before. You want to maybe feel the same, but you're not going to be the same. So things have changed.
So listen to your body. That's fantastic. But how do you help your, your clients to actually see
what they want? And then give them the confidence and then direction to actually go after it and do
it. That's the next step. Well, when I decided to rebrand my business one and a half years ago,
because I, I felt that I really need to do things differently. As I said, I wanted to reach the
global market. And what I did, I came up with three main pillars. And one was, as you probably
mentioned in the beginning, the first pillar of my work or the framework is clarity. The second
one is communication and the third one is confidence. And I think this is how my clients also find
me. You know, they, they either connect to the need for clarity in their life or they feel that
they want to find their own voice that they need communication somehow. They want to improve their
communication skill or they feel that they like confidence. So wherever they come and contact me,
you know, I, I can show them that these are the three main pillars of my work. And actually,
if we start working on all three of them, because obviously you need clarity first in order to
communicate. And then with better communication, you will have more confidence. So it's all built up.
And I think this framework helps me to understand and also to communicate my, my message better.
And my clients also find it logical. So they can build on it. And then they will see the result.
Yeah, you said logic. I mean, this is an emotional journey, but it's a very logical process.
The clarity, the communication and the confidence. So how do you help to bring this back into and
move these emotions that they can take over? They can feel overwhelming. But emotions are,
they're just signposts. They're just telling us that some things good or something's bad. That's
all. So it's right. Something's wrong. It's just a feeling. It doesn't tell us we have to do anything.
So these are just signposts. So with the more logical side, what's it like for your clients?
Once they start to find that clarity, they start to be able to communicate better. What actually changes
in their lives? A lot. I can say a lot. Because I want to go back to this logic versus emotions,
because there are different clients who find me. Some people are coming from the business world
with very strong ties to numbers and all that. I work with some financial leaders who need more
of the emotional part in their life. So I think with good coaching, you can always offer
the, and you can always respond on the needs of the client. So if, for example, they need more
of the emotional part, you help them with that. Or I have the dreamers who come with big visions.
And you know, they need more logic and you know, down to earth approach. So this is what I love
about my work that I always focus on the person. And I don't really like to call them clients when
when we work, but we are, I don't know, we are together like travelers on her journey, something
like that because I'm privileged to be there with them. And I help with whatever they need. And
that's why it's very personal. Coaching is very personal from my understanding. But the main
three pillars that I mentioned before, these are the pillars that people find me with.
Yeah. Well, you say it's a very personal journey. Now it is for you because as a guide,
as a coach, as a mentor, you've been there and gone first. So your story is very, very authentic
because you've gone through this. You've made these, these, these different difficult decisions
and actually followed through on it. So can you just talk through like what, what was it like as you,
as you made those decisions, maybe even before you became this, this coach, this guide?
It's a very interesting question because when I think back of being a child, you know, I was a
child, a little girl. And I always had this entrepreneurial spirit, you know, for some reason,
I was never really happy to be in very like boxes, you know, with labels and stuff. I can also say
that I'm one of one of the few people that I know that have never really had a boss in her life.
You know, I was always working on my own. I was in different, involved in different businesses.
And I never really cared about hierarchy. You know, I, I felt that I don't know, I'm on my own
and I'm happy to do the things that I like to do in my own way. So my personal story is like that.
When I feel that something is over, it's over that I move on. And also my story about moving to
to Cyprus is it's like that. I felt that my story here in Hungary is over. I want to start something
else. And I think my clients can connect with this. Also, I didn't mention this, but I have for
children and being a mother of four children, you know, that's also it kind of lays you, you know,
a truck, you know, that you need to follow that, okay, this is what a mother or four will do.
And I questioned that. I challenged that. And I said, well, maybe I can do it differently.
Maybe I can be a working mother, a happy working mother, who doesn't have to give up, you know,
being a mother for the four children in order to do a business. So it's, I always like to play
around, you know, with, with these like set ideas. And I challenged that. And this, I think this is my
story. Nice. And so what was it about this line of work that you were like, yes, I need to help
more and more people with this. What was that like for you? Again, it goes back to many, many years
ago. It was back in Chicago when I was studying there. And I had a very nice neighbor. It was a
nice family. And Christoph was, was my neighbor's name. He was the husband of the family or the
father of the family. And he told me once we were sitting in his car, we were driving somewhere.
And he told me that Andrea, you have the people's kills. And I was 22 years old. And I was wondering,
what does that mean? You know, and then I realized that, you know, this is who I am. This is actually
what I do. And I'm, I'm the best at this. So I decided that I will follow, you know, my heart.
I will follow the profession that I'm, I actually do as a person who is, who is talented,
who is gifted in this. And yeah, so that's, yeah, that's, that's what I wanted to mention here,
because it was very important. It's sometimes you need to find one person or maybe you don't have to
find the person finds you and tells you something. And because he gave me this guidance, I felt that
maybe I have these sentences. I have these moments that I can share with people and that will
change their life. So this is what I think changes actually people that they find the right person
who tells them the right thing at the right time. And then things will change.
But sometimes we can't see it for ourselves. There is a, you know, we can't see it. We can't see
what for the trees, the label from inside the bottle. How do you want to phrase it? It's,
it's so true. So for you to be able to be told this and then start to put all this together,
what was it like as you then started this business becoming that entrepreneur? Because then you get
to bring all your experience, the modalities, the training, the way of guiding people into your
own system. So what was that moment like? Because that's going to be super duper scary.
For some people it's beautiful, but there's an awful lot that you have to do that maybe don't know
about. So those, those first few steps entering this world. What was that like?
It's like a cycle. I always say that because once you start the business, it depends on your age,
it depends on the location, it depends on the market, of course. But you have to, first of all,
you have to be on good terms with yourself. So I think everything that happens in a business,
it's rooted in your personal life. So you have to gain self-awareness, you have to focus on
or feel what you are going through and your business will reflect on what you are going through.
So I think what one advice that I would give to everybody when they are planning to become
entrepreneurs is that I'm sure that you know who you are. And it's not one thing that you find
at once and it will stay like that because one thing is constant change. So basically we have to
be prepared for that and reflect on that. So whatever happens, try to make your business work
around your life that serves you the best as a person as well and vice versa. So you also have
to make yourself a stable person in order to do your business and to bring it to success.
That's a great way of putting it. You have to be on good terms with yourself because we
will know that your thoughts are so important. Your emotions are so important. Your vibration,
whether you believe in the full woo that any emotion can attract and repel people,
it's a frequency that you have. But to be on good terms with yourself, no matter what's going on,
just raises your vibration. If you've done it, if you feel better, you'll think better thoughts
take better action, come across in a better way. As an entrepreneur, those sometimes I can be so
hard to do. I mean, this comes back into the works that you do to help these people to find their
clarity, have that confidence, but just sometimes it's so, it's the easiest thing or the simplest
thing, but just be happier. Find more joy. How has this helped you become a better coach,
a better guide? Well, I think why people come to me is my energy. Intentionally, I made a
commitment that I need to be well in order to help other people. Also, I spend a lot of time
with playing. I look at my work as my playground and I'm happy to do it because, and not in a bad
way, you know what I mean by this, that I like to experiment. I like to be playful. I like to be
creative. And I think this is what people want from me. And this is the energy that they want,
because many people feel stuck. And if they feel stuck, they can't move. And that's the worst
thing where you can be if it lasts a long time. And I think that's why people look for coaches,
mentors, helpers, because they want to be like them in a way. Not that we are perfect. Oh, no.
Not at all. But we are intentionally focusing on our well-being.
Well, this is something that you could have been very serious, very methodical with your
the processes, or you can bring play into it. Everyone coaches in different ways. So I love that
you mentioned this is your work as your playground. You get to play. Is this through maybe trial and
error or that you found that hold on. If I bring more play into it, if I am more playful with my
clients, if I have more fun, they get better results. I feel better. I enjoy this more. Was this a
kind of a you sort of found your way by taking action by doing it? Well, what I feel is that when
when I'm better, when I'm feeling really good about myself and about my life and about the things
that I do in my business, I feel that I get more clients, no wonder, because people connect with
our energy, as I said. And also, I think there are several emotions that guide many people, most of us,
one emotion I would say is fear. And once I read somewhere and I truly believe in this that fear,
and for example, playfulness or fear and gratitude cannot exist together. So I intentionally choose
every day that instead of being afraid of how my business is going, you know, or being afraid of
how I'm going to find clients or being afraid of, you know, so many things. Even in this podcast,
this is going to be a good one or a bad one. I don't know. I'm here. I'm showing who I am. And
this playfulness and positivity, I think, changes everything. And this is what I would like my clients
also to experience and to be able to be a child again in a good way, you know, and just play and
yeah, try. And then we will see. Because if they don't try, they will never know.
I think that's a great concept. So you're saying fear and love or fear and gratitude, whatever
the pedal opposite is, they can't coexist at the same time. Now, let's unpack that because
as entrepreneurs, as humans, as parents, we think we can multitask. Well, actually,
there is no such thing as multitasking. You're multi-switching. You're switching tasks. So you're
never multitasking. You can only ever put one attention or something at a time. Therefore,
if that is true, and that you can only have fear or let's say love or play. So it's, you've
got to flip the coin. So to understand that, you just get to flip it around, come back into that one,
come back into the right one. So this, this world, is it just about really awareness catching
ourselves in that moment and thinking, oh, Mark, you went back into fear. Let's change it again.
Is that an simplistic way, catching ourselves, flipping it around, and then going again?
Exactly. What the simplest exercise that I teach my clients that, you know, if they feel
overwhelmed or if they feel that they are not sure what they want, I just tell them that, you know,
use a piece of paper, draw a line in the middle and say, I want more of this and I want less of this.
And it goes the simple way. You know, I want more movement, more walks, less junk food. I want,
I don't know, more good conversations with my family and less squirrels. And, you know, like,
because sometimes you have to trick your brain and you have to make like a simple way of knowing,
okay, so if I get up this morning, what do I do? What is my life about? More walks, okay,
it means I have to get up and walk and just do it. Don't overthink it. Just do it. And I think
once you get into this and you understand the simplicity of action, because basically all you
need to do is take action, because that's another thing. People overthink a lot and they don't do
things. So that's, that's the first thing that I teach them. And I think people love it because
finally, it's not a book. It's not a course. It's not something that they have to spend hours
and hours or month. It's just a very simple, genuine exercise that they can use right away.
So with all this knowledge and this understanding guiding your clients, what are you looking
forward? What are you most excited about? What's coming up that's got you super excited?
As I mentioned before, I moved to Cypress a couple of months ago. Let's say one and a half years
ago. And one of the opportunities that I saw in this move other than having a good or better
education for my children and just a better place to live throughout the year, I thought that this
is a very global place. It's a small island, but also I feel that it's a very diverse place to
live. And what I want to do is I want to reach clients globally, because as you probably notice
from my accent, I'm not a native speaker of English, but I love the language. I love the
opportunity that it gives me that I can connect with many people from all over the world. And this
is my biggest plan to go global, because this is where I feel at home in the global world.
And I'm hoping that 2026 will bring me opportunities to speak to people in, I don't know,
in Asian countries or African countries or the US or other European countries, because this is
where I feel that we can teach each other the most. And I want to also learn, not only give help
or offer help for people, but I want to learn. I'm curious about the word.
Yeah. So where is this opening up for you? Because a lot of people in the New Year, it's more
opportunity to speak in engagements. There's different clients for you. It's reaching out and
just making a bigger impact with your experience, having traveled the world, having done, having
gone first. So for you, is it a sharing this authentic message of what changes like what
traditions, what happens during these transitions and how other people can learn from not only your
modalities and your structures and your frameworks, but also through your lived experience?
Because I think that's that's actually a part.
You know, I'm excited to meet people who are on the journey already, but who are looking for more,
one Tony Robbins said that he's working with people who are hungry for more. And I like to use
this term, because I want to connect with people who are hungry for more, which means that they
want to grow, they want to improve, they want to gain more awareness, and they want to do it in a
way that they also share their experiences. And I think where people can connect with each other
and they're curious about each other and enjoy what they are doing, I think we just create a
better word. And maybe it sounds like, you know, big words, but I think if you have children,
and as I said, I have four, I want to create a better word for them. You know, this is what I want
to live as legacy for them and also for everybody else. Yeah. Well, Andrea, thank you so so much
for sharing not only the amazing work that you do, but your journey of what you've kind of gone
through to be here. And I wish you all the success as you continue to leave a legacy. And how about
the people? Leave their legacies. So thank you for joining us. Thank you so much. Thank you very
much. You're welcome. And look, for those people who want to know more about you and the amazing
work that you do, how can they find you? How can they reach out? Well, the easiest is to follow
my website and to look for it. It's very easy to remember because it's my name. So it's www.andreagameachie.com.
Or you can just, you know, connect with me on LinkedIn. I think this is where you can also see some of
my posts, some of my pictures. So hopefully you find some some good reads over there. And you can
just drop me a message as the easiest way to connect with me. Perfect. So everyone, if you're
curious or think this sounds amazing, go and check it out or reach out LinkedIn, start the conversation,
say, Mark sent you and and have some fun. And again, Andrea, thank you so so much. This has been
an absolute pleasure. Thank you very much, Mark. Thank you. Bye. Welcome.
Hey, Katie. Yeah, Mark. Wanna do an outro? I sure do. Sweet. Hey, thank you so so much for
listening and making it to the end. Yay. So what happens next? We ask them the things that podcast
are supposed to ask at the end of an episode. Can you please rate, review, download,
subscribe? Yeah. But why is it important? Because that's how our podcast gets noticed.
It's how people find us. It is. And we want all their earballs. All the earballs, all over
place. We do. Yeah. So please do all those things. We'll be ever so grateful. And then more people
hear your beautiful voice. Oh, yeah. See you next time. Bye.
