Who are the best free agents left for the Denver Broncos in NFL free agency? In this video, the DNVR Broncos crew breaks down the top remaining targets for Sean Payton, including Calais Campbell, Dallas Goedert, Cam Jordan, and Tyreek Hill, as Denver continues to add pieces after re-signing players like J.K. Dobbins, Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins, and Alex Singleton. With Campbell still available entering his age-40 season and Tyreek Hill on the market after his Dolphins release, the Broncos still have intriguing veteran options to boost both the defense and offense. It's been all quiet on the Western front for the first 48 hours of Broncos free agency.
But don't worry, there are going to be moves that the Broncos make.
And we're going to give you the top free agents that are available that the Broncos should sign.
And I'm going to go to Ryan first, Ryan.
Who's your top guy that the Broncos should be going after right now?
I would love to see the Broncos go and get Calais Campbell.
Bring him home.
If this is still his home, he's been gone for a long long time.
That's probably been gone longer than he was ever here.
Right.
But no.
No, actually, you're right about that.
It's crazy that he is still as productive as he is.
In his age 39 season last year with a bad team.
You know, you could maybe have said, well, he's on a really good team.
And they're always in the lead and blah, blah, blah.
No, he had six and a half sacks from the interior of the Arizona Cardinals defensive line last year.
That's really impressive to me.
And so I would absolutely love to see the Broncos bring bring in Calais Campbell.
On a one year deal, a little homecoming for a monster of a man who is still producing at 39 will be 40 years old.
I was a high schooler when Calais Campbell was his rookie in the NFL.
And now he's entering his 40th season and can still play.
I wanted the Broncos.
Not his 40th season, but his age 40.
Right.
Exactly.
I wanted the Broncos to get Calais Campbell in what was that 2016, 2017?
Ten years ago.
Yeah.
Yeah.
One of again, I would absolutely love that, especially, I mean, the homecoming story would be awesome.
But this makes so much sense.
Broncos just lost JFM because he's a damn good player and went and made a ton of money with the Tennessee Titans.
Getting Calais Campbell fills his hole for one year.
And then you also still get to develop Savion Jones.
You still get to develop any you was a reek.
Those guys would still get playing time while you would also have a veteran past rushing presence.
They're a big body, a great leader for this defense just to add their man.
You might not have a drop off in terms of that play this year.
If you go out and get Calais Campbell and you be able to do it for much cheaper than the $21 million JFM got.
And that six and a half sacks is like top 15 at the position.
What was JFM last year's right there?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And obviously JFM adds more.
I'm not trying to discredit what JFM does.
It's a big loss there.
But Calais Campbell is just as steady as it can be with being that good of a player.
Yeah.
I think he actually tackled Jerome Betis in that Super Bowl.
That's wild.
Doesn't that put things in perspective?
And how cool would it be?
Calais Campbell has never won a Super Bowl.
How cool would it be if he comes home for like one final year?
Who knows?
He might have five more years left in the tank.
But let's say this is his final year and the Broncos get a Super Bowl with him back.
Our Broncos Ray Bork.
Oh my gosh.
Really Parker.
It was Willie Parker you tackled.
Not sure.
But like even more of a dent, even like more of a hometown connection too.
Yes.
Oh, come on.
Okay.
I love that.
I love that signing Ryan.
I'm all in Ford Henry.
Who do you want them to go after?
I look at the Titans.
I think they're just aren't a lot of spots where they really need somebody, especially given
the level of talent that's still on the board three days into free agency.
All right.
It ends a weird one.
You already paid Adam Troutman.
You have Nate Adkins.
You have Evan Ingram.
That's a lot of Titans.
But I do think that you could go get like a Dallas Goddard, especially given that they don't
have a full back at the moment.
So you could move Adkins around a little bit and it could open up some staff.
It makes it easier to carry for like Dallas Goddard's a guy who had 11 touchdowns last year.
Touchdowns from a tight end sounds like make believe there is an option.
If not him, Zach Hertz could be a cheaper option.
If he's healthy by the start of the year, that's, I'm going to get the Titans and I think
Dallas Goddard at this point is probably the best one available, even if he might not
be what he used to be.
Yeah.
And I mean, in terms of a multifaceted title, right, multiplicity, probably the best you
can get there.
Yeah.
David and Joku doesn't quite do it for me, but I think Goddard's the place I go because
there's aren't a lot of names that I can see that makes sense for the Broncos at this
point.
Place Campbell's great though.
And someone who watches a lot of Eagles games, he makes big plays for them.
Right.
I mean, 60 catches for 600 yards and 11 touchdowns last year, that would be incredible for
the Broncos this year and you are able to use him different than Adam Chapman.
You are able to use him different than Evan Ingram.
So he would fit there.
I would, I would like that signing as well.
I'm going to give you guys three names here and I'll save the splashiest one, flashiest
one for the last one.
And I'll start with the least sexy one right up front.
No discredit to the fullback position, but I'm going to go, Broncos need a fullback.
Sean Payton always has a fullback.
There's two fullbacks available on the market and they were both then for Broncos last year.
We're bringing back one of them this year and Francis and Michael Burton are on our free
agents right now.
I'm going Adam Prentice.
You are coming back.
I think he was like, you know, that's third alternate.
Everyone wants to bring back another one of there.
Very good.
Well, you know what, when there's only guys on the market that were from your team and
no others, you're kind of forced to bring one of those back and actually Adam Prentice
all joking.
So I did a really good job when he came in for or he got better throughout the year.
He did.
He did because Michael Burton got hurt.
Broncos have to have a fullback with Sean Payton.
So they used him and or they brought Adam Prentice in, shout out to the Colorado State
Rams.
Adam Prentice and he did a good job.
I think the Broncos looked draft fullback.
That's my prediction.
Well, they do have two seventh round compensatory picks, which would be a good time for a fullback.
Are you saying Mr.
irrelevant?
Is a fullback?
Fullback of 30.
Yeah.
Wow.
See, because you had the, the Bama fullback last year was the big name.
Yep.
But not anywhere close to a first round.
No, no, no.
No, but he is now a Robbie outs.
He is now a Super Bowl champion just for what it's worth.
I think it's not sure who this year.
No, no, no.
Oh, oh, I remember because I've been told about him before.
His first name is Noah.
Last name Kowski, right?
I don't think so.
No, it's all one.
It sounds like Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Riley, Noah Kowski, six foot two.
I like, I like the shorter stock here, guys.
Kind of a tight end H back fullback.
Yeah.
combo.
Okay.
So that's, that's our guy in the draft.
So there we go.
Okay.
So I'm still bringing back one of the one of the Broncos.
Competition.
Got to keep.
Got to keep Adam Prentice.
Now I'm also going.
I'm not going with the Bronco, but another Sean connection.
I'm going Cameron Jordan come to the Broncos.
It looks like he is going to leave the Saints and you talk about an old guy that can produce.
That is Cam Jordan and Clay's Campbell.
It's those two guys, Cam Jordan, 10 and a half sacks last year.
And I know he hasn't played a three four defensive end position.
He's been a four three defensive end those aren't the same.
But at 37 38 years old Sean's not going to have him do everything.
He's going to have him be a past pressure and he's going to say, you are taking JFM's
role as our past pressure alongside Zach Allen next to DJ Jones.
And you're just going to get sacks, get after the quarterback.
So it's going to be a little bit of a transition forum.
But man, if anyone can do it, it's going to be him with Sean Peyton.
So that's if they're not able to land Clay as Campbell, I'd like to see them.
And guys, I think it's potentially maybe realistic too because Sean loves his guys.
And he absolutely loves Cam Jordan.
You heard it here first from Zach.
You can teach an old dog new tricks.
Yes.
Yeah, absolutely.
No, the cat guy, but I'll take it before it's true.
Yep.
He's cat's new tricks.
I've heard Broncos country.
They are pounding the table for offensive playmakers.
Broncos have missed out on a couple of those guys right now.
There's still one out there.
And if you want an offensive playmaker and you want to gamble on a guy to potentially
give your offense an unbelievable explosion, Tyree goes there.
And it's going to be interesting to see where his mark goes.
He was a guy that was never going to go in the first wave.
And so it's going to be interesting to follow him.
The Broncos are going to have to make a decision on the person himself.
And if they're willing to do that, if they are, they're still taking a gamble on the
player because his knee was completely shredded.
This is a guy.
The man, he has been so incredibly productive and there's one guy out there on the free
agent market that could potentially be a number one for the for for for a team.
And that's Tyree kill.
So yeah, I think there are several Broncos fans who just threw their phone when you said
that.
Yeah.
And that's fine.
I'm not pounding the table for it.
But like, you want explosion.
If you're throwing your phone because Broncos aren't sign of playmakers, I would throw
out Brandon IU because another one who could potentially be a one there.
Yeah.
As a resident of Denver, keep Tyree kill away from my city.
Crime rate does not need to be doubled just by bringing one man down to his.
That's who he is.
I don't know.
That seems like an exaggeration.
Well, but I'm not an expert on crime rates.
Right.
Neither am I.
So there are what that's six guys that the Broncos could potentially sign.
Let us know who you want the Broncos to sign below.
