ABC made a last minute switch to its prime time lineup, pulling the highly anticipated
premiere of The Bachelorette, just days before it was set to air.
The network scrapped the season, which was set to star Taylor Frankie Paul after resurfaced
video tied to a past domestic incident sparked controversy.
Instead of the premiere, ABC failed the time slot with the rerun of American Idol, giving
viewers a familiar alternative on Sunday night.
The decision came quickly, with executives saying their priority is supporting those involved
as the situation continues to unfold.
The sudden cancellation leaves the future of the Bachelorette unclear, with no official
word on when or if the season will air.
Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindy talks about the issue,
and this is batting with Taylor, personally, this is bat for the children, this is bat

Netflix and HBO executives are sparking major buzz after a recent lunch meeting.
Ted Cerandos and Casey Blois were spotted dining together in Hollywood, fueling speculation
about potential behind the scenes deals.
The highly visible meetup comes as the entertainment industry faces major shakeups, including a massive
merger involving HBO's parent company.
Blois, whose contract runs through 2027, has been a key force behind hit shows like
Succession and Euphoria, making any potential move a big deal in Hollywood.
Forces say the lunch may not have been as low key as it seemed, with some insider suggesting
the public setting was intentional.
While no official plans have been announced, the meeting has already sparked rumors about
possible collaborations, or even a major executive shakeup.
For now, both companies confirmed the lunch happened, but what it could mean for the future
of streaming remains a big question.
