ABC made a last minute switch to its prime time lineup, pulling the highly anticipated

premiere of The Bachelorette, just days before it was set to air.

The network scrapped the season, which was set to star Taylor Frankie Paul after resurfaced

video tied to a past domestic incident sparked controversy.

Instead of the premiere, ABC failed the time slot with the rerun of American Idol, giving

viewers a familiar alternative on Sunday night.

The decision came quickly, with executives saying their priority is supporting those involved

Beloved NHL reporter Jesse Pierce has died in a house fire in Minnesota.

Pierce, who spent years of covering the Minnesota wild, was just 37 years old.

She and her three children, Hudson, Kaden and Avery, were all found dead after the fire broke

out early Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to the home after reports of flames coming through the roof, but the

structure was already fully engulfed.

Pierce was a longtime contributor to NHL.com, and a respected voice in the hockey community,

known for her passion and warmth.

Tributes from the NHL and fellow journalists have been pouring in, remembering her as both

a talented reporter and devoted mother.

Anytime she would come, she had so much positive energy, she was just, she was happy to be a

part of it.

She was happy, you know, to smile.

And she's just one of these people that she was there to help other people.

She really, really cared about other people.
