The Croydon Budget Battle with Ian Underwood

About this episode

In 2022, the town of Croydon NH voted to replace the usual ransom demanded by the school administration with a budget offered by the taxpayers. The point of this change was to force the serious consideration of a number of fundamental questions about education that never get considered under the ransom model of funding. Unfortunately, the conversation was quickly derailed into a referendum about Free Staters. We'll discuss what actually happened in Croydon (beyond what the media reported) and our lessons learned. There will also be a never-heard-before epilogue! Learn more about the Free State Project at https://www.fsp.org#freestateproject #libertarian #porcfest
