This is the daily grind.

Today's Bible verse is John chapter 8, verse 31 and 32.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,

If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Today's title is anchored in truth, walking in freedom.

Jesus made it clear that to be a disciple is to abide in his word.

This is more than a cursory reading of his teachings.

It means to live in his word to make your home there.

His promise is that if you abide in his word,

you will know the truth that sets you free.

For truth is not an idea, truth is a person.

Reference John 146, Jesus said, I am the truth.
