0:00This is the Daily Grind. Today's Bible verse is Romans 1, verse 16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Today's title is Faith That Speaks. Years ago, Annette and I learned the power of our words and the value of declaring God's truth in prayer and in confessions of faith, trust, and belief. It was a game changer in our faith journey. It's not complicated, but you do have to be intentional in searching the scriptures for truths that are declarative in nature. The confession of our hope is a bold, unwavering declaration that Jesus is who he said he is, and he will do what he promised to do. It looks like speaking God's truth when culture pushes back, holding your ground when circumstance is shake you, and continuing to declare Jesus even when it costs something. Use this simple declaration as a starting point.

1:01Father, your word is truth and I trust in your promises for me, our country and the world. I stand on your word and proclaim the truth that Jesus is Lord and Christ over this world. I will continue to declare and share my faith in Jesus as I go through my normal rhythms in this life. May you be honored and glorified in it in Jesus' name. Amen.
