Hello, this is Todd Royal. I'm your host of Geo Power Energy and Real Politics and Boy
Today, are we going to get real? We definitely got real last week when I want to talk to you
about how Net Zero is an absolute fantasy. I really want to focus today on just containing
that fantasy. And I want you to know that something I don't do is, I don't name people
by name when I disagree with them. I think that's a real problem that goes on in public
policy, energy, this podcast, world media. You know, you're supposed to say, oh, I hate
Tucker Cross because he said this. I said that. No, I may disagree some things he's doing
right now, but the body of his work is pretty unmatched. And that regard, people that I really
talk about often, whether the Breakthrough Institute or Tilek Dossi, Doomberg, which we're
going to get to here in just a minute, but someone that I folks that deeply respect
had said something recently that we certainly know what's going on right now. We certainly
know that the Iran War people disagree with it or they agree with it, but that there's
this whole notion that you see people who typically vote Democrat or consider themselves
green, environmentally friendly, that renewables will save us. In the US, it's going to be Professor
Mark Jacobson from Stanford who had deeply disagree with and whose work has been thoroughly
discredited. I name him by name because what he says is dangerous. In that regard, I'm
not going to name this person by name because they're not dangerous, but somebody, there's
a quote that came through things that I regularly read and to pull back the veil on the
show. I typically prepare for this show about 25 hours a week. That's how long it takes
to be able to talk for this amount of time. But something interesting was said, one of
my sources who I love, you heard me talk about Tilek Dossi, I would also say Ed Wreen,
Joe Kotkin, Wendell Cox, these are people that work they do. It's incredible. California
Globe does great work. Doomberg is somebody I think is probably doing just about the best
work out there right now, along with Tilek Dossi. It's hard to dispute the work. It's so
heavily sourced and researched and typically what these guys are writing about. It's coming
true. Not only they're not just reporting the news, they're giving analysis and what
I would say is predictive analysis. And most of the time it's correct. But there's someone
who I absolutely love wrote something that I absolutely disagreed with. And he said this goes,
this suicide drones winged through the skies of the Middle East bringing a sizable share of
global ass, global oil, global oil and gas shipments to a grinding halt. That's not really true.
We have lost a lot. It's not a grinding halt. And let me say about this too. When somebody says
it's to a grinding halt, that is a political issue. I've talked previously and I'll say it again,
World War II, the world we currently live in. That is a choice to let the Strait of Hormuz not stay
open. That problem could be solved right now, all the Gulf states and if everybody in NATO invaded
Iran and did total war, total war is every single person is considered a war combat. In many
ways, you could say that's how Iran is conducting this war. Hamas does it that way. His ballad does
it that way. I'm not advocating the targeting of civilians. I realize there's international
law. I understand all of it. I've studied it. I've degreased it. But this problem of saying the
Strait of Hormuz cannot open. The Houthis are going to shut down the Red Sea. You can solve
that problem. These are political issues. If NATO wanted to fully go in, fully get rid of the
Iranian terrorist mullahs. If you wanted to completely wipe out every single person that has
balla, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, if you wanted to wipe out everybody, every person in al-Qaeda,
all the Taliban, you can do that. You politically decide you don't want to do it. Same thing with
Mexico. If you want to get rid of the cartels, you can do it. If you look at the history of warfare,
the Romans solved the problems they wanted to solve, not telling you it's easy, not telling you it's
not costly, that many, many lives will not be lost. But don't say as an analyst, it's a grinding
halt. No, we've made a decision. All that decision is based on leftism. It's based on this Marxist
ideology, this environmental global warming ideology. These are ideologies that have infected Europe,
which goes back to World War One, where they were traumatized, and World War Two, the Europeans
have simply given up and said, we're going to live the good life. Don't blame them. Europe's a
wonderful place. Marriage and children are very hard. I have both. Working and not just being single.
Those, that's a very nice way to live. That means you're going to ever sustain your entire continent
because you won't. But this notion of the straight of hormones cannot be open. Absolutely
could be open. You're going to have to invade the country. You're going to have to level Tehran,
the way Berlin was leveled in 44 and 45 by the Allies, led by the Russians. But these problems can
be solved. It would be analogous to saying, oh, the Pacific Ocean is closed down, the Japanese
have closed it down. Okay, people go, well, why are you attacking Iran? Iran's been attacking
America for 47 years. So the Japanese attacked us one time, killed thousands of people, embarrassed
the United States. The Iranians have done it for 47 years. They've not had a Pearl Harbor,
but please make no mistake that the Iranians have been attacking the United States and American
Allies for 47 years. Don't tell me that something can come to a grinding halt. That is simply
untrue. World War II teaches us. Look at Andrew Roberts' book about Churchill. Churchill, the best
single-volume biography you will ever read about Churchill. When he said unconditional surrender,
I believe he said it at the Tehran conference, to Stalin and he took him by surprise.
Do not say that something cannot be opened. Do not say you can't get rid of the Houthis. Do not say
that the Saudis and the Miradis and the Caterians, the Kuwaitis, the Baranians cannot join a coalition
with NATO led by the United States and you cannot go level Iran. And this notion, too,
let the Iranian people rally around the flag like Joe Kent just said on Sean Ryan's show.
Mr. Kent has done things. God bless the man that protection is done for the United States.
The man's earned the right to say what he wants. My only
nuance to what he would say, and both those men have earned the right to say whatever they want.
However, yes, I ran as a massive country. Yes, it's a horrible terrain. All of those things
are true. You cannot say something can be solved when the Nazi army, the Hormac, the SS,
was fully ensconced all over Europe. I understand that they used resources to kill the Jews.
They could have gone to the German war machine. I understand all those things. But make no mistake.
That was a war machine that made some strategic errors when they attacked Russian declared war
in the United States. If they had never done that, I would contend with you that right now the
Europe is speaking German and using the dutch mark. If the Japanese had wanted to march right
into the west coast of the United States, they could have. So don't say that, oh, you know,
the straight-of-horn moves, it's closed down. Don't give me that. Don't give me that.
It's closed down because that's a political choice to close it down. That's not because it can't
be done. You're telling me all of these Marines, all of these, yeah, you're telling me that all of
these Marines, all of these different people, all of them. You're telling me that in no way they can,
they can't take back. You're telling me that in no way can the United States, the French, the British,
though they're both feckless, the French and the British, the Poles, the Italians. I don't care
that Italian young people are against war. We're all against war. Who's not against war? I get it
there's a lot that aren't there for it and the Neacons, but most people are not for a war. They're
not. But I hate to let you know we'll secret. Tell me what happens and no one will talk about this.
Tell me what happens when Iran gets a bomb. I said it a few podcasts ago. Tell me what happens when
Israel is their early warning systems give them 30 seconds as Iranian nuclear weapons are streaming
in the skies toward them. What do you think they're going to do if I were them and they would? Okay,
our motto is never again. Never again. You're never putting us on rail cars to Auschwitz. You're never
raping our women, cooking our children alive, experimenting on us and slaving us in the worst possible
fashion and think that we're going to allow that to happen again. They're not.
The straight of oh, the world is oh my gosh, we're going through economic turmoil that you
caused yourself. I would tell anybody, please go subscribe to Bloomberg. I don't get any kickback
from their organization. I don't know who Bloomberg is. The green chicken, you know,
what's it called? Avatar that they use. I think is brilliant. Great marketing. The riding is superb.
The sourcing is good. The prognostications they make. It's as good as anybody going. If I were
intelligence agencies, I would have them on a speed dial. There's a great article that they
had that came into my inbox today where he talks, he talks about North Dakota, North Dakota and
Australia and Australia is in horrible shape because they refused to, they refused to drill for
anything because these fools believe in global warming. The same goes for the British, the same
goes for New Zealand. I want to be sensitive to somebody who goes, but the earth is uncontrollably
cooking. Didn't you see this professor's data and didn't you see the hockey stick and didn't
you see all of these things? I'm not a climatologist, but I'm an analyst who can read this stuff.
Whether you are a creationist or an evolutionist, whatever you may be, however old you think the
earth is. There have been times before the industrial revolution or before the use of fossil fuels
where the earth was colder, it was warmer, had more CO2 in the air, had less CO2 in the air,
had more particulate matter in the air and it had less. This was all before the explosion of
the longevity of life which has led to billions of people because of fossil fuels, because of the
industrial revolution, because of urbanization, because of vaccines, medical care, sewer systems,
mapping, HVAC systems and all of this because of fossil fuels that we've lived longer.
We have seen a minuscule uptick of it getting a little warmer. Then you'll read, well it paused,
then you'll read, well the CO2 does nothing. It's a trace gas in the universe. I don't believe
anything, any of you are saying, because it didn't factually, not because I'm a, you want to call
me a denier, call me a denier. I would look at President Obama and say, factually it doesn't,
you don't make the case. There's a ridiculousness to all of it. So don't tell me that you Australia,
you did not decide to drill for fossil fuels because you believe the earth is warming.
These are facts. Right now the Chinese are building more coal plants than the United States even
has in use. The United States is the only one to meet the coyota protocol in the Paris climate
agreement. The only reason it is is we went from natural gas to oil because we have formations
in North Dakota, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, particularly Texas and Louisiana that have trillions
upon trillions of cubic feet of natural gas and we have built pipelines and systems to turn
that into electricity. That's it. The other stupid thing about all this and this is all connected
to bringing sizable share of global oil and gas shipments to a grinding hot. You will see
fools like a professor in Australia and I want to be able to get this fool's name correct because
it's such childishness and God bless Duneberg. They said, talks about this professor who is
published in the Sydney Morning Herald professor Thai Christopher, a member of the faculty of
engineering at the University of Wallingong. When asked if more oil and gas drilling is the
answer to preventing future crisis like the one about to smash Australia, he had to say this,
BS, he's the real world, real world. Also you know when people start cussing and have to watch
my own self that your argument doesn't really hold merit. The solution for this problem is to turn
the dial up further on the pathway we're already on. We're lying on renewables and electrify
everything we use. In the last quarter of 2025, we hit 51% of our electricity coming from
renewable sources. We're already well on our way to that. So why on earth would we go back to
expensive fossil fuels? Nobody is going to war over sunshine and wind, which we have an abundance.
I'm going to call this God by name because you're a fool. If you are an engineer and I've known
brilliant engineers, I've written three books, I co-authored all three of them with it with a
50 plus year engineer named Ronald Stein. If this guy is an engineer, then I'm an astronaut.
If he doesn't understand the second law of thermodynamics, and I do, if he doesn't understand,
what's so funny about the electrify everything movement is these people go, where do you think
electricity originates? Electricity is nothing. It is an electron that has to be produced. I wrote
an excruciatingly boring book called Just Green Electricity, which talks about this. It drives me
insane when I hear electrify everything. Okay, where do you think that electricity originates?
Remember this, a solar panel and a wind turbine. Every single component comes from fossil fuel.
Everyone, one of the most energy intensive things you could do on the planet is make a solar
panel. It has to be from silicon, and it becomes polysilicon, and you have to grind it. You have
to put the panel together. It is an excruciatingly tough endeavor with massive amounts of energy
it's required. So reason the Chinese have 70 to 90% of the market, and it's all done by coal.
You can have that panel for 20 years. You'll never get over the carbon intensity it took to make it.
It doesn't work. This nobody is going to war over sunshine and wind, which we have in abundance. No,
what you have is a country on the verge of collapse, because a fool like you believes in man-made
global warming. And you think by killing your grid, which this is an engineer by the way, a grid
has to have 99. A whole lot of nons after it, hitting that grid at all times. Otherwise, you have to
use an inverter. An inverter is a ridiculous way to balance a grid from a solar panel. Same thing
with a wind turbine, you have to shut, you know, you have to shut them off if it becomes too windy.
Typically, it's about 15 to 25 miles per hour is what it can take. Most wind turbines and
solar panels at the most they run 40% of the time. At most,
where does Professor Christopher think all of the rare earth metals and minerals originate?
It sure is an Australia. It's their a belligerent next door neighbor or very nearby China.
What happens with these people? This is an ideologue. We're all ideologues. Atheists are agnostics
like to claim the high ground and say they're not an ideologue. Sure you are. You're just an
ideologue, you believe in nothing, and you think you have superiority because you don't have faith
in anything. No, that makes you not believe in critical reasoning or Pascal's wager. You're still
an ideologue. I am an ideologue for Jesus Christ. I have an ideological belief that Jesus Christ
is the savior of the world and there's one way to God or Yahweh or the God of the Jewish Bible,
and that is through Jesus Christ. That's an ideology that I have. Professor Christopher has an
ideology that goes against all laws of physics, all laws of the second law of thermodynamics,
which is physics. It goes against the chemistry, the engineering, it goes against how grids are
actually built, the technology, and I would say this to Professor Christopher. I truly hope that
renewables can work. What he's also doesn't realize, which makes you go as an ideologue. This is
a professor. This is probably a PhD. This is someone with an engineering degree. Those are hard
degrees to obtain. This is an intelligent human being. Renewables, not only do they barely work,
they take up massive amounts of land, 300 to 700 times more than a conventional
fracking site to extract oil and natural gas, coal-fired power plant and natural gas plant,
even an oil-fired plant. Certainly a nuclear power plant. If this person really believed in
electrifying everything, they would be building nuclear power plants faster than you'd have.
Australia bans nuclear power plants. The rancid stupidity that Australia is under what this entire
empire barred me, this entire endeavor in a rancid shown is not only, as Secretary Rubio said,
why don't we just take all the troops out of Europe and you take care of yourself,
or as President Trump said, you're a paper tiger, NATO. What it shows is all of these people,
whether the European, Australians, the New Zealanders, the Taiwanese, and their foolishness
of shutting down their nuclear power plant, all of these fools, every single solitary one of these
fools have done this. They think in the name of global warming, climate change, if they use
something that will never, ever return the environmental benefit they think they're getting
by using something that probably came from China or requires more energy than it's ever going to
be offset by using it. By the way, when somebody says the wind and the sun, good for you, that's the
marginal cost. Yes, when the wind's going through a turbine and the sun is hitting a solar panel,
that's the marginal cost. Yes, that is free. I hate to let them know that people do go to war over
the wind and the sun. Yes, they do. People go to wars over, they're not typically going to war
over Antarctica because there's not a lot of wind in the sun. They go to war over places with good
with good climates because good climates tend to have more things like oil, natural gas,
they'll tend to have rare earth metals and minerals, they'll have ports, they'll be on ocean sides,
they'll be in places where oh no no no people want those things and yes, Professor, they do go to war
over the wind and the sun. There's a reason that Africa has been raging for centuries
because it's got a lot of things that a lot of people want that has the wind in the sun hitting
it. It's a foolish, foolish argument. And if you, if you, and let me credit Doomburg because the EIA,
the US Energy Information Administration published a detailed analysis all the way back in 2013
of Australia, Shell, potential and the numbers were, let me quote Doomburg to put it mildly
rather impressive. It concluded that the six largest Shell basins in the country, Australia hold
an estimated 403 billion barrels of risk, Shell oil in place with 17.5 billion barrels as risk,
technically recoverable, Shell oil resource. The way it works and you're about to see this in
Venezuela, when you open something up, oil and gas companies are going to go drill for it.
When somebody says something is not technically recoverable, what they're typically saying is,
there isn't the political will or fool or fools like this Professor, Professor Christopher or
the fools who run Britain or the other fools who run the EU or the, or Angela Merkel, the former
just destructive president of Germany who did their energy transition and shut down their
nuclear power plants and their coal and their natural gas and no fracking going on or no exploration
hardly at all of any oil and natural gas in the EU. That means you've made it so expensive and so
onerous, similar to California, oil and gas companies can't go drill for it. But yet somehow they
can go down to Guyana and millions of barrels a day of oil is coming out. It's taken them less than
10 years to do it. Don't be surprised that Venezuela not only hits 4 million barrels of oil in
day but between 6 to 10 before the end of this decade. Once oil and gas companies, and I'd make the
argument, the most brilliant people on the planet or petroleum engineers and you can make a case
that's some of the greatest technology right now outside of like Apple, the video and others
is probably Saudi Aramico. You can also put rose atoms, the nuclear power company out of Russia.
But typically the most brilliant people you are going to find are these oil and natural gas
companies. Simply they're the majors, whether total out of France, Italy, British petroleum or
Shell, the former Royal Dutch Shell and then certainly like Exxon, Exxon mobile, Chevron,
Conaco Phillips. When you open things up to these folks, they can go get it. Funny how things become
recoverable. Sure is funny how Texas was broke under Governor Anne Richards, gets a Republican
governor who's not a crazy environmentalist, says we're going to open this thing up for business.
Now Texas at last count is either the second or third largest Texas producer of oil and natural
gas in the world. So please, please do not tell me the straight of hormones has come to a grinding
halt. What this podcast is is about reality. These are political issues. That's all it is.
What then drives me even more crazy. And again, the person who wrote this,
you guys do great work. But this is not great work on this, I would say factually. It says the
strategic significance of electrified technologies looms indisputably large. Again, where do you think
that electrified technology comes from? Comes from China, comes from Russia, but in particular China.
The proof is now in the pudding that solar panels are helping countries reduce exposure
to natural gas scarcity and resultant price spikes that electric vehicles are valuable for
de-risking oil import dependence in that mass produced fleets of armed drones are disruptively
changing how militaries fight wars. That is produced. That is true. But those drones are coming
from Iran, Russia, China. How do you think they're making them? Long pause. How does anybody think
that they are making them? Well, let me tell you, they are making them because they use fossil fuels
in their factories to produce electricity. What's so foolish about today's US Democratic Party
or somebody in Australia who believes in this nonsense is they think, oh, well, I just turn
on a light and the light comes on. Truly, go ask AOC. Where does electricity originate?
I would bet a year, a year salary shouldn't give you an answer. Chuck Schumer, before he decided
to become a deranged leftist, a deranged Democrat. Okay, you want clean energy technology,
Senator Schumer? Where do these come from? Do you want to, do you want to
ensure the manufacturing under the United States? Do you want to do the dirty,
energy-tensive work? It takes to mine, process, refine, and then produce the magnets that are
needed for wind turbines. These are MGN magnets, Robert Bryce, great work. If you want to read
about magnets and what it takes to make them, no one's dead and better work on this than Robert
Bryce. It's a fools game. Even this, the drones. What do you think those drones come from?
Does anybody think that right now Ukraine, which is producing drones, are doing them from solar panels?
Wind turbines? You know what? You guys blew up our electrical grid. Let's put up some more solar
panels and wind turbines. The Russians won't hit that. And I mean, Ukraine is always so sunny and so
windy. There is, it's such a madness to me. It's such foolishness and it's getting people killed.
If you really, if you wanted to stop Iran without invading them and unfortunately having to slaughter
millions of them in the process, every single country in the EU start drilling for oil and natural gas.
Australia start drilling for oil and natural gas. If you really wanted to bring down the Russians,
and again, I will credit Doombard for this because he's the one that opened my eyes to it,
bring every single molecule of oil and natural gas on the market and crash it. And then to make
sure all companies will continue to do it as opposed to giving them trillions of dollars that
have been given that was just chronicled by Michael Shellenberger this past week. He said,
two trillion dollars has been wasted on green technologies. Take all of that money moving forward
and give it to oil and gas companies and say, hey, what we really want to do is crash the price
of oil down to about five to ten dollars a barrel and we want gas almost in the negative territory.
But we're going to give you money to make sure you still stay profitable. You would in Vladimir
Putin in a heartbeat. You would, if you on short every rare earth metal and mineral and did it
all in the United States, if you took away the refining capacity that the Chinese currently had,
if you expanded the electrical grid 4x in the next ten years, you would collapse the Chinese
Communist Party. The reason I called this show originally geo power energy in real politics is
for this reason. Geo power, which is how nations, which is really how the world interacts with
each other, it's only backed by one thing, militaries and you can only have militaries if you have
energy. Hence the second part, energy and then real politics is saying, I want to look at the
reality of the political situation. So when somebody says to me, who I deeply respect,
bringing a sizable share of global asset, again, global oil and gas shipments to a grinding halt
and that now the proof is in the pudding that solar panels are helping countries reduce exposure
to natural gas scarcity. Those are false statements. You produced your own scarcity, California,
because you vote for Democrats, like that fool Gavin Newsom. You did this to yourself,
Australia, because you think that somehow you're stopping some false notion of global warming.
You did this to yourself, the EU, because you think, you think, oh, if we do renewables,
that's going to solve everything and let in tens of millions of military age radical muslims,
because we're so traumatized from World War I and II, we don't want to continue our society,
so we want to outsource everything from baby making to oil and natural gas to somebody else,
so we can just travel around our beautiful countries on our wonderful trains,
paid for by the American military and see incredible things, which it is incredible,
but we want to take no responsibility for anything.
Stop thinking this nonsense. That is geopower resides with the Chinese Communist Party.
Geopower resides with the United States saying, we're going to bring every molecule of oil
and natural gas out of the ground that we can. Okay, my name is Todd Royle, I've got to take a break,
I'm going to come back here for the second half and we're going to continue this.
Again, my name is Todd Royle, this is geopower energy in real politics and we're taking a break.

I am your host, Todd Royal. We had left off and we're talking about some very hard issues.
When it comes to the reality of Geopower, Geopolitics and what the Iran War has revealed
and leaving very critical, these people who go, oh, the straightest clothes, they'll never reopen.
Use renewables. Nobody goes to war over the wind and the sun.
The problem with today's world and the reason I recommend people so highly like the group Dumburg,
Tillig Dashi, is that telling you the real politics, the reality of how things are
physics, engineering, chemistry. My degrees are not in any of those, but certainly my tenure now
in the energy world and the executive part of the energy world as an analyst, as a
peon who used to look at land contracts when I was in college for an oil and gas firm,
mineral rights in the southeast United States, doing economic development. There are some
factual things that you have to look at. One of the interesting part too, you know,
factually, I love sports, previous podcasts, talked about LeBron James and it's fascinating
to LeBron James because he's playing at such a high level and when you look at his routine,
I would tell him to go YouTube, he gets, I read something or saw a video, he gets to the basketball
arena five hours before each game and his routine is just unbelievable. You see the guy with that
shirt on, there's not an ounce of fat. The man looks like and plays like he's somebody who's 21
years old. It's really phenomenal because factually, yes, he has the money to
sleep better, eat better, working out. There's a lot of people who have that kind of money and they're
not doing what he's doing. In other words, the man has factually said, I'm going to be working out
five hours a day to get ready for a basketball game where he's generally the smartest person
on the court. If not arguably the smartest person to ever play basketball. That's a fact.
There's a fascinating, as we're talking about this whole issue of, oh, we can't,
you know, we can't, the Suez Canal is at a grinding hall. Solar panels are reducing exposure
to natural gas scarcity, which is, if you look at our solar panels made, it's made with natural gas
and it's made with, it is made with a fossil fuel. It's not made with electricity. Electricity is a
byproduct that came through the energy which made a turbine spin which produced electricity.
In other words, you're saying things that are so, as Thomas Soul calls it, first stage thinking.
An electric vehicle, when people go, oh, if you use electric vehicles, see you would have to do that,
just with the grid. Go do an experiment. Get about 10 homes or so. Most of them will be hooked up to,
let's say, the same transformer. That's a lot, but a transformer is what's going to take the electricity,
put it down to AC, alternate current. Take that and all 10 people, let's say around six o'clock,
seven o'clock, eight o'clock at night, with people at home watching TV, eating dinner,
using high electricity appliances like their washing machine, their dryer,
their taking showers, baths, computers are plugged in, et cetera, et cetera. Go plug in your
electric vehicle at the same time. If you're two family home, let's say both of you have electric
vehicles, you'll blow the transformer. Can't handle it. The grid can't handle it.
That's what's so stupid about the electrify everything movement. A grid has to be built out. Now,
if you want to build the grid out the way the Chinese have, I think their grid is 4x larger than
the U.S. grid, which means that's larger than the European grid, then you can do that, but remember
all those components, which are highly specialized components, which then you have to go build
transmission lines for all this, which in the United States, the environmentalists don't like that
very much. So the very people who say go electrify everything are the same people who won't let you
build high voltage transmission lines, more power plants, or tell me do you want to dot the
countryside with solar panels and wind turbines, which every single one of those things
are made by fossil fuels. And all of those components, somewhere somehow oil has touched them.
You would not be alive without a barrel of oil. So what's so foolish in the reality of saying
a grinding halt, more solar panels, more electric vehicles, is even if the Chinese were not
a militaristic communist country, they're the ones that still control everything.
You never, that's common sense not to be exposed to one thing. You don't,
you have different car companies because you want different choices of cars. Same thing with
grocery stores, the same thing with clothes, but yet you want your entire economy to run on things
whose components essentially come from one country, and that is China. The level of foolishness,
it's just so, it's, it's unheard of how foolish it is. What's also so foolish is that if you look
at what the world has done with the, with the straight of hormones is the term is called leakage.
And Ron Stein, my co-author, has done great work on this.
Leakage means I'm California. And most people don't understand this, what I'm going to talk about,
it's not your full-time job. Go put into chat GPT or Google, leakage and environmental
stewardship, liquid, leakage and lowering your emissions. California now imports upwards
of 75% of all of their energy because they want to be seen as environmentally friendly.
We don't drill for anything, we don't have any pipe lines, so look how low our emissions are.
No, you let other countries do it. That's what's so foolish about the whole alternative energy,
your turbines, solar panels, electric vehicles, et cetera, stored systems. Those components
are coming from China. They do not work without rare earth metals and minerals, but the United
States is trying to reopen. But right now if China decided they're never going to send us
any solar panels, any magnets for wind turbines, any components for electric vehicles,
the markets would crash. Maybe Elon Musk would keep Tesla open, but just about every turbine
manufacturer, solar panels, et cetera, they would go out of business. The entire industry would collapse.
Get rid of all the subsidies and the entire industry will collapse as well, but that's a different
podcast. So when you've allowed now about half of the world's natural gas, ammonia,
things like helium, but just fertilizer, the components to make fertilizer, which one of the
biggest ones is natural gas. Half of all of that comes through the Suez Canal.
The rabid stupidity of the world to allow this to happen, and you have to always ask yourself,
well, who is it? Is it the United Nations? Sure. But it's also all of us.
We become fat and happy to West. We don't want to look at what our grandparents had to look at,
or great grandparents. How are things made? How does the world work? How do I get this air
conditioning, this car? How do I get the grass in my front yard to grow? How do I get this food?
Go watch the show Landman. There's now the famous monologue from Billy Bob Thornton where he talks
about how a wind turbine is not green. Good job Taylor Sheridan, seriously. If you wrote that,
Mr. Sheridan, you know more than 99.9% of the Democratic Party, academia,
law, certainly the very industry you're a part of in Hollywood. You are an intelligent man.
A good good job for you, Billy Bob Thornton, because you sold it. You did a great job telling a
big truth about wind turbines, and I love how you said don't get me started on solar panels.
I would have added don't get me started on EVs and storage systems at grid scale or what's
referred to as battery energy storage systems at grid scale. But the reality, the first part of
this program, this podcast, we talked about the reality of don't tell me you can't open something
up, because you can. And don't tell me a solar panel is saving the world because it's not.
In the same in the same breath, places like California don't tell me your gas is expensive when
you're losing people. There's an article that in the California globe, it said Los Angeles
County has largest population loss in the country. The US Census reports, why do you think that is?
I lived in Los Angeles for 26 years. It's a wonderful place. The weather's phenomenal.
It's beautiful. The light is perfect. Everything about it's perfect except a bunch of crazy
Democrats have taken over. And then you have these communists, which people go, oh, the left. No,
stop saying that. It's Democrats. When you say the left or even leftists, which I have a problem
doing sometimes, you're not talking about a Republican. You're not talking about the AFD in Germany.
You're not talking about the conservatives in power in Japan. You're talking about Democrats.
You're talking about greens. You're talking about socialist and communist. That's what you're
talking about. So use the proper phraseology. It says in five years, Los Angeles County has lost
over 322,000 residents. Why do you think that is? Go try to live there. What these
these fools have done is they don't allow you to build houses because they think it's global warming.
They don't want to build any power plants, pipelines, get rid of gas stations, make everything
expensive because they believe if you put everybody in a high rise building, well, and you
densify everything, well, that's better than people getting married, having children and living
in single family homes. That's a crazy these people are. Joe Kotkin has done work on this that said
this is absolutely wrong. It's so foolish. And places like California, honestly, you get
you deserve what you're about to get in biblical terms. You reap what you sow. Same thing for you
Australia. Same thing for you Europe. Frankly Taiwan. Same thing for you. And New Zealand and the
rest of you idiots that believe in this stuff. Energy is what runs the world. Energy is geo power.
Geopolitics is how nations interact with each other or how they're the phrase I think it comes
from Aquinas. Thomas Aquinas self-interest rightly understood. Geopower says who's going to win?
And in today's little stupid Western world, we don't want winners and we don't want losers and
we want everybody we want everybody to be equal. That's a fantasy.
What you want is a quality of opportunity. You do not want a quality of result. Guess what? None of us are
ever going to be LeBron James. Not only do most of us don't have the drive to work out five hours a
day like Mr. James. We're not six nine two sixty five and blessed with a body that seemingly doesn't
break down but then has the drive to eat perfectly seemingly not hardly drink. Stay married to
one woman be faithful to her or raise his children while still while still keeping a perfect body.
We're not equal. We're not equal.
Go look at a professional athlete. We're not equal.
But then go look at someone who can rebuild a car. We're not equal. Most people cannot rebuild a car.
Most people probably can't build a house. It's a fantasy.
California is going to implode on itself. That's a fact.
I don't know when. If this continues and I ran and if we invade if if the United States invades it
and if the Emirates join us which supposedly they're thinking about doing
if the Israelis continue to pound their Iranians
and their Iranians continue to pound the Israelis.
And if the French and the British and the Italians and the Swiss and the and the
feckless Spaniards with their socialist president who's who's allowed 500,000 illegal aliens
with the King of Spain. They just gave amnesty to because they're liberal globalists which really
means they're just satanic people and they're people in lazy who voted for them.
We'll make no mistake. Spain you're going to have a black out again and people are going to die
and if that's what you want the problem with wanting people to die is eventually it happens to you.
The problem was saying oh I'm going to
take down everybody else and live the high life. How'd that work out for Stalin?
How'd that even work out for Mao? Let's say they live the perfect life, perfectly fed and
money and power and the perfect relationships. Well what happens when you die?
That the world has allowed the Middle East to control half of everything, half of the food,
half of what it takes for food and over 20% of your energy which really is the things that are
going to make your food and your clothing and your shelter and meet Maslow's hierarchy needs
that unfortunately the people who have allowed that then you deserve what's going to happen to you
and maybe it will wake you up. There's a famous bobble story in First Corinthians where Paul
tells the church at corn. There's a man I believe he has slept with his, he either slept with his
mother or his mother-in-law or a daughter. I mean he's just done something heinous and he was caught
and Paul says and I don't think it was insesulous but Paul says banish him out of the church and
give him to save. Okay some of you may go I don't believe in all that okay just go with the metaphor
then of the story. Put him away from people and let leave him to his own devices. You can find
grim fairy tales that we'll talk about that maybe even a Dickens novel or Shakespeare go with me that way.
I'm gonna stick with the biblical version. They take the guy, they give him to Satan or whatever bad force
you want to think. I'll say Satan. Torments the man and the man comes back and says I was wrong, I
repent and Paul in Second Corinthians he says bring him back in the church. He's he has he has
repented so bring him back. Well here's here's the problem though when it comes to a nation
or a state like California. I can change my heart in a moment may take us some time but I can
reach that level I've reached a level of repentance or sorrow or I want to change. Ask how long it
takes to build a refinery refineries that close in California. Ask how long it takes to build
pipeline, nuclear power plant, natural gas plant. Give me an example. The three largest turbine
builders in the world hold anywhere between 50 to 75% of the market, G. Vernova,
demons and Mitsubishi have all said they're essentially booked up now about 2030.
Three and a half years we can't take any new orders from you and all three have said they're
building gigawatts worth of new factories and even then people are saying that's not enough.
So California and Australia what do you want to do? You want to die? Go right ahead. Don't think
we should save you. What do you want to say to the EU and NATO? You don't want to help the United
States? You don't have to agree with it. But US troops are there. The United States came to your aid
when Russian invaded Ukraine. What do you want to do? You don't produce your own energy.
What's been the point of this episode? The episode is going to is reality.
If this war continues there is going to be severe economic pain for people.
The Qataris will rebuild their gas facility. They've lost some but they're going to continue to
make money. Their country will continue. Saudis, the Baranians, the Emirates, the Kuwaitis,
the law continue. The Iranians, they will continue. The people who continue to not make changes,
I would say you got a couple of months or at most you got to the end of the decade and you're
going to start seeing some real problems occur. Taiwan has about 11 days worth of liquid natural
gas and storage. Does anyone not think the Chinese cannot blockade that island?
Starve these people to death? What happens when the Chinese figure out how to make semi-conductors?
Which they're rapidly doing? You want to go help Taiwan? You want China to be in charge of
semi-conductors? Everything we use as a semi-conductor? All that comes from oil and natural gas
or has to be the electrify everything crowd. There's a reality what's going on with the Suez
Canal that's been deeply revealed. Thank you for listening. This is Todd Royle. I'm the host of Geopower
Energy in Real Politics and God Bless.
