Reagency is coming on and man, do I have a lot of questions?
Some quarterback questions?
Maybe some more quarterback questions, that one, and that one.
Maybe an AJ Brown question.
What's going on with Max Crosby?
Our good friend Jeffrey Chidi joins us to tell us
everything that is going to happen over the next six months.
We got quarterback questions that I mentioned that.
What's going to happen to Malik Willis now
that he has landed with the Miami Dolphins?
About the former quarterback to a turbo low
is now in Atlanta.
And of course, a quarterback segment is not done
without talking about Shador.
Cam Wolf joined us to enlighten us
about what he has learned.
No, no, that's not New Orleans.
That is Paris.
Our new buddies, Tally Fawaga and Tyler Schuck
from the Saints, join us from the Senn,
which is a river in Paris.
We're going to do an interview from a river in Paris.
It's pretty awesome.
Welcome inside with the insider, insider, one insider.
It's me, Ian Rappaport.
If you notice it, no one else is around me.
That's because everyone else is in Arizona
or in Root to Arizona with the NFL
annual meetings are taking place starting this weekend.
So right now I'm here talking to you and one we're done.
I'm also going to go to Arizona.
But before that, we had some new news today
starting with the Miles Garrett contract adjustment.
Colleague Mike Careful talked about this
on Good Morning football today before you left for Arizona
saying the Browns, despite the intriguing contract
adjustment to their star pass rusher,
are adamant they are not trading Miles Garrett,
but we're going to continue to follow up
because what else do we have to do?
The offseason is coming.
The Buffalo Bills made another interesting
and important signing for them.
Tomorrow have one of the best stories in the NFL.
Continued in Buffalo, he signs a one year deal
to provide depth in their secondary.
And then Najee Harris, one of the top free agents
or one of the top big name free agents out there,
visited Seattle early in the week.
He is going to visit the Las Vegas Raiders next Thursday.
Still recovering from a torn Achilles,
but he is going to make his decision after that.
Well, one of those teams I mentioned draft a running back.
Why any of the teams I've talked about drafts to anyone?
Yes, everyone's going to draft everyone.
It's going to be the best.
One of my favorite days of the whole year,
kicks off April 23rd from Pittsburgh.
The NFL draft presented by Bud Light.
I will be there.
I will be very cold, but it's going to be awesome
because it's a draft and I cannot wait for that.
But before we get into all that,
we've got our good buddy, Jeffrey Tadea,
joining us on the inside of Jeffery.
What's going on?
Thank you for joining us.
You have an article on NFL.com
that I teased just a couple of minutes ago,
trying to make sense of some of the 10 biggest questions
we have after free agency heading into the draft.
Let's start with maybe the biggest for me, I guess.
What is going to become of Kyler Murray in Minnesota?
And is he going to be the next Sam Dart?
That's a big question for me.
It is huge because we know Minnesota is looking
for that quarterback, tough division with the NFC North.
They want to get back into the game as far as being
a postseason contender.
And this is the guy who might be able to do it for them.
We know it did not work out for him in Arizona,
but he's coming to a team with a great supporting cast
with just a Jefferson and Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockinson,
a coaching Kevin O'Connell who's done great things
with quarterback.
And Jason McCarthy, the quarterback
who was supposed to be getting it done,
has not been doing it.
An injured, but inconsistent, great opportunity
for Kyler Murray to write his career with a team
that really needs him to get it done.
Yeah, and this was the spot every quarterback available
wanted to join Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota.
We are going to see, as you mentioned,
if Kyler Murray can resurrect his career
or in that another big contract.
For Aaron Rogers, more questions there.
Not going to earn a big contract.
Well, big compared to most people,
but not quarterback contract.
But still, if he decides to play in Pittsburgh,
we know what he's going to get.
But is he going to play in Pittsburgh, Jeffrey?
Yeah, well, what would he be doing this time of year
if we weren't talking about Aaron Rogers?
It's been a three or four year process now.
And so I do think he's going to play
because by now, he's had enough time to think about
how his last year went.
And his only year in Pittsburgh went, he played solidly.
He had 24 touchdown passes, seven interceptions.
Still, it's went and hired as old coach
from Green Bay, Mike McCarthy.
They made a trade for another wide receiver
and Michael Pittman Jr., who can be that underneath rep
to compliment DK Magcalf, the deep threat.
And so this team won the AFC North last year.
This division is still up for grabs.
And Aaron Rogers being there could help them.
I think we're going to be talking about this in June again.
I just if I had to guess, we'll see.
Anyway, I got more, I got more for you.
AJ Brown, one of the hottest topics during pregnancy,
generally for agency, resolves all things.
This did not get resolved.
What becomes of AJ Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles?
Well, I think it just makes too much sense
for him to not be traded.
At this point, he's shown his frustration
with the offense with what Nick Sireon has been doing
and they're bringing another offensive quarter in now.
This team has too much talent, too much potential
to always be dealing with his unhappiness.
And so look, it's a $27 million savings in CapHit.
If they traded MetroJune first, you saw the deal
that happened in Denver with Jalen Waddle,
first round pick, third round pick, fourth round pick.
That could be a nice comp for doing a deal like this.
I think AJ Brown is going to be out of Philadelphia
at some point this summer.
Well, another thing we're going to be talking about in June,
like we're still not going to be talking to you today
to don't go anywhere.
Thank you.
Obviously, I always appreciate you,
but don't go anywhere.
More coming up from you later in the show, NFL.com slash first
read to get more.
This guy got more, more money.
Malik Willis with a big contract in Miami,
signs right there, that looks like a happy man.
That is a happy man, a new starting quarterback
for the Miami Dolphins and someone.
We know it's going to be there every step of the way
plus all the other teams that he covers.
Our buddy, Cam Wolf, who is, of course,
based in Miami, we all know that welcome inside
with the insiders, Cam what's going on.
You are as well versed in the Miami Dolphins as anyone.
You obviously followed the Malik Willis signing.
It's close as anyone.
What's going to happen there?
What do we need to know about the future of the Miami Dolphins
of what is going to be a really, really fascinating season?
A completely new era and opportunity for Malik Willis.
And let's go to the Jaylen Waddle trade to start
because a lot of the questions that people had
was, why do you sign Malik Willis?
Did he know?
From the conversations I've had, they gave,
as far as John Eric Sullivan,
the general manager and the head coach, Jeff Hathley,
Malik Willis heads up a conversation
before they traded Jaylen Waddle.
He was in the know of this decision
and he is still all in on the plan,
just like they were when they signed him in for agency.
This is in a shock,
just meant to what particularly happened.
Malik Willis was signed because they view him
as a potential long-term answer there.
It's not just a band-aid addition.
He essentially has a two-year, 45 million year guarantee
for people who know him very well.
So he is there to be the starter.
The Dolphins do plan to continue to add competition.
So don't be surprised if they draft a quarterback in April.
That's sort of the way they want to have there.
But this is a clear runway from Malik Willis
with a young team to show that he can be the long-term answer
and give Jeff Hathley's squad something to believe in
in year one in the rebuild as well.
Very interesting you mentioned
drafting in quarterback John Eric Sullivan,
the new general manager in Miami.
From Green Bay, Ron Wolfe Disciple,
he believed in drafting in quarterback basically every year.
They also have Quinn Ewers there,
a young quarterback who really played pretty well
at the end of the last year,
someone that they can develop.
But you're right.
Malik Willis is going to have more than an audition
to be the starter.
He's going to be the starter, his contract says.
So can they get through this year's show enough progress
and then kind of continue to build
once they get through all this dead money?
There is still talent there,
despite the unbelievable value that they got for jail and waddle.
Meanwhile, there is of course still talent in Atlanta,
especially at the quarterback position.
We know, back inside two,
we know Michael Penning's junior is still there.
How is that situation, Cam?
Going to shake out in Atlanta.
Well, get your popcorn ready
in an old-fashioned quarterback competition.
Look, this is a really big opportunity for Tua
after the worst year of his career.
He said this past week,
I've got to play better after 15 interceptions.
He kind of alluded to things not being great in Miami
at the end.
He gets a fresh start with a new team
and they want to give Michael Penning's junior
their first round pick from a couple of years,
a little bit of a kick in the butt,
a little bit of a pep in the step
as he comes off of a 20 ACL,
new head coach there in Kevin Stafansky,
new general manager, new president.
And so they don't have to be tied
to the previous regime's picks.
And so although some people may think Penning's job to lose,
no, Tua has a real chance to win this job
and he's gonna have a head start in Kevin Stafansky's system
because he's gonna be the only healthy quarterback
in the spring and the summer.
And they do think Penning's will be healthy
at some point in training camp
to be able to have a chance to compete with him
and maybe win that week one job.
But Atlanta is wide open with a new mindset at the top
for Tua and Penning's a motivation opportunity
for them to bounce back.
God, the timing, Cam is gonna be so interesting here
because you're right.
I mean, Tua's gonna get all the reps,
assuming gonna get the first ball in the preseason
and preseason games.
And if he plays like the Tua not a last year
but two years ago and before that,
how is the job going to not be his
and how is Michael Penning's who's come back for an injury
could be able to wrestle the job
from is it gonna take him struggling
which this team around him is actually pretty talented.
They may not struggle at all with the new coaching staff
that knows pretty exciting and look,
it is going to be a fascinating quarterback battle.
But if Tua grabs this from the beginning,
it's just, we'll see what the future of Michael
Penning's holds because he's gonna have to fight
for this one as you mentioned.
Still seems it's gonna be a fight in Cleveland
for the starting quarterback job.
You got a lot of quarterbacks I ever mentioned,
Stora Sanders and the Open Sean Watson,
obviously still on the roster.
How does this one shake out?
Another open competition in Cleveland
where Deshaun Watson and Stora Sanders
in particular Todd Munkin,
new head coach there,
very excited to be able to coach those guys
and look, both players are very different
but they're both playmakers.
And there's a lot of excitement in Cleveland
about a head coach that will allow them
to do exactly what they do.
Creating plays outside of scheme.
Munkin talked to the combine about being
pleasantly surprised about the mobility that Stora has,
the ability for him to be able to extend plays outside of scheme
and make plays when nothing's there.
He'll get an opportunity to do that there.
And I know Shadour has been working
with this private quarterback coach Darryl Cobert
on being able to put that foot in the ground
and let it rip.
That's something that he didn't do as consistently
as they want it as a rookie.
They think more reps and a system that helps him
will give him a chance to win this quarterback competition.
And look, the Browns have two first round picks at 6 and 24,
but my understanding is they're more likely to use those picks
to supplement the offense, keeping eye on them
at wide receiver and left tackle at those spots.
And maybe they wait another year for quarterback
and allow these two guys Shadour and Deshawn Watson
to be able to show what they've got with the new head coach.
And no quarterback additions there,
but in addition of a quarterback guru Todd Munkin,
I think probably a surprise cam
for a lot of people as the head coach.
If you followed him in Baltimore,
if you see the work he did with Lamar Jackson,
they think he'd do just a little bit of that.
Just to make this a quarterback friendly offense
for Deshawn or Shadour, whoever wins
that starting job, this team can get better
and maybe get a little closer to having a quarterback
in the future already on the roster.
When Deshawn Watson has been healthy,
he has been effective.
It's just a matter of staying healthy, cam.
Great stuff as always.
There was the announcement, the New Orleans Saints
are headed to France in the 2026 season,
playing in Stadda France
and what should be an unbelievable environment.
Can I wait for that one one of several international games
for the NFL as it continues to expand?
And our guys, Tyler Schuck and Tally Fawag
are already there, spending the last several days
in France doing promotional appearances
and other fun things to soak up the atmosphere
and get us ready for this big time game next season.
Very happy to join them to welcome them now
on the Insiders in Rapportalong with Omar Ruiz,
Tyler, Tally, what's going on?
I will start with you, Tyler,
where in the world are you guys as you are talking to us?
Bonjour, what's up, man?
It's good to see you.
We're on the song right now.
We're with a bunch of the people.
It's been an amazing experience to be here
to represent New Orleans, Louisiana, America, here in France.
So, so far we've had a blast
and we can't wait to come back.
What's been the most exciting part of the trip so far?
I know this is day three for you guys promoting this game
that's going to come up in the season in October,
but what's been your biggest takeaway?
Man, I think just seeing the historical things
around this place, man.
We went to the little, not too long ago,
so it was pretty cool to see them want to leave some, man.
Even though it's kind of small,
but it was very exciting to see, man.
And get in the middle.
So, you guys have also done some fun stuff, Tyler,
having breakfast with Mrs. Benson
and an ambassador and other officials.
I know you have some other community events planned.
Kind of take us through Tyler.
What this has been like, like,
obviously, you know, if you walk around New Orleans,
people recognize you like,
what has it been like as a football player
in this environment kind of selling the game a little bit
while doing all these activities?
It's been amazing to be around.
I mean, the first time we got here,
you know, we were at a local bar
meeting New Orleans Saints fans from France,
from all over France that I've traveled.
And just their knowledge of the game,
their questions that they were asking was just amazing.
So they're excited for us to come here.
You know, we've been kind of doing all this stuff.
So we got to meet some kids yesterday at a local school
and just talk to them about a flag football
on the kind of the presence that has here
and all the work that the NFL is doing.
So we're honored to even be here.
We're having a blast.
So, I mean, it's been kind of full circle.
So to come back here and be able to come back here
and to be here now.
I read that some of the fans came in from Belgium
and Germany just to meet you guys the other day.
Have you been able to imagine being at the stadium itself
what that's going to be like in October
and how you anticipate those emotions of playing
and representing the Saints in Paris?
Yeah, I can't imagine.
I mean, I mean, it's going to be 80,000 plus people
and they started it for Hanson is a great venue.
And I know there's going to be people coming
from the States as well.
So I know the tickets are going to be hard to find,
but I know Saints Nation, who that nation is going to be there.
And I mean, we got a lot of who to have fans here
in France as well.
So it's unbelievable.
I want to hear from both you guys on this.
Obviously, a lot going on right there in France,
but here in the States free agency just ended
and New Orleans was very active.
Travis ATN, who we used to call him now, it's Travis HN,
Travis HN was one.
David Edwards, another playing with Tully
on the offensive line.
I'd love to hear from both of you guys, Tully,
starting with you.
What do you think of how active these Saints were
with some big time signings in free agency?
I mean, I think we got some great players, man.
I've seen Edwards a little bit at the bills
and I've seen some of his film.
And I think he's actually speaking louder than his words right now.
He's very quiet, dude, but man, if you watch the film,
he's the hell of a player.
And he had Josh Allen MVP years old, man.
He's a great player so far.
And HN, man, I mean, you guys watched the film, man.
He's a good player too, also.
So excited to have those guys in the building with us.
Both of you guys are in Paris representing the Saints.
I think that would be signified to us.
What sort of leadership positions you guys
have taken within the organization,
looking ahead to 2026.
How do you think you guys elevate your leadership even more
for a team that traditionally has been so veteran led now,
Tyler going into year two and Tully going into year three for you?
Yeah, I think we just do it authentically.
I think everybody that they're bringing in the building,
this off season, they're here for a reason.
You know, you sign guys like Hayden Ellis,
who's a veteran in the Atlanta locker room.
There's tough to play against.
And now he's going to be one of our leaders on defense
and guys all over the building.
And I think for me and Tully, we want to do our jobs,
do our part, and that just starts with,
we're getting to know each other.
We're spending time in the off season.
We're working out every single day together in the building.
So, we're doing the right steps.
And I think for all of us, we're excited to get back out
and have the right pieces in place.
Tyler, I want to hear your thoughts on bringing in Travis H in as well.
But one of, so give me that in a second,
but the way you guys finished,
the way you finished specifically,
like there hasn't been a ton of positivity for the Saints.
And I think it's fair to say a couple of years.
There certainly is now based on how you played
and how you guys as a team played.
What's kind of, give me a little Travis
and then what's your outlook for what next year's going to be like?
Yeah, I mean, I got to have dinner with Travis.
The first time he got there and, you know,
him and his girl and his kid.
And it was, I mean, he's the most downer earth dude ever.
And he's, I think he's going to be a big leader in our locker room.
And obviously, his explosiveness on the field speaks for himself.
So I can't wait to play with him and he can get to work with him.
And then I think, you know, what we learned last year is that, you know,
you buy into what Coach Kellin Moore is talking about.
And we just kind of have fun with what we're doing, going to work every single day.
You know, those wins start to add up.
So it's a long season.
It's a lot that goes into it.
But if you remember that, we're just, we're out there playing football.
We're playing a kids game and we want to, you know,
that's why we're here in France.
We want to make as many relationships and have fun and, and go work hard and,
and go in, you know, as a result of it.
Yeah, Tali is, he alluded to you guys one, four or five down the stretch.
You're going into year two with Kellin Moore.
What do you want this identity of the team to be in 2026?
Hey, just the hard working team, man.
Blue collar guys, uh, and we got a locker room full of great guys right now.
And I think we can build off of that.
And, uh, you know, especially we just want to win this division, right?
It's wide open for anybody right now.
And, uh, I think we got a young creative team coming up.
So, and I'm excited to see what we got going here.
All right, one more for me for you, Tyler.
There is a, obviously the draft is coming up and everyone's talking about all
these prospects and you guys were, were in it just a year ago.
There's a receiver named Chris Bell from Louisville, um, who I know your fans are all
over, uh, who you, I believe had dinner with.
Uh, how much do you get into the draft process and considering he's your former
teammate, what do you think of him?
I think he's exactly what we need.
I think we, uh, from a physicality perspective, I, I love his game.
Love him as a person.
Um, you know, I think we, I love the guys that are already in our room as well.
You know, we have to bond bail and Jalen Polk and a lot of those guys that are,
are really coming on strong and, and I've done really well.
So I think whoever we get in the draft or free agency, um, you know, I think we're,
we're happy to be here, happy to work with those guys.
So if we can get him, that'd be great.
Um, cause I know he's going to contribute and a lot of those guys in the draft.
I think it's the best part about it is a stacked receiver class.
And, and, uh, you know, I'm excited to see who we get.
Last one for me.
You guys live in one of the best food cities in all of America.
Now you're in one of the best food cities in all of the world.
What's the best thing you've eaten in your time in Paris so far?
You got to speak the way I go ahead.
Uh, I had to ask our go for the first time a couple days ago.
I didn't know how to eat it at first, but it was, it was amazing.
Um, yeah, I mean, well, I, yeah, I had five in the croissants.
Man, the croissants are a fire out here, man.
I was there a couple of weeks ago in Paris.
At Disneyland Paris and yeah, the croissants are the best I've ever had sensational.
That's awesome, guys.
All right.
Really, really appreciate you guys.
Thank you so much for hanging out with us.
Maybe one day we will also get to come to Paris and enjoy the food and maybe a little football too.
Enjoy the trip.
Um, this is really cool.
And I cannot wait to see you guys play.
Let's do it.
Let's go.
Actually, delicious, quite, quite a delicacy.
Glad those guys are enjoying it in Paris.
These guys right here, the Seattle sea ox, enjoyed a lot of things after their
Super Bowl win, did Adam Rankin enjoy it.
He's coming up with a new edition of the Weekender.

This is one of the best sporting times of the year because so many cool things are going on.
We have March Madness, the Masters is right around the corner.
Even Russell Mania season is coming up.
But of course, the big week or the big event this week was opening day, which was held at night on a Wednesday.
Listen, I love watching air and judge strike out four times as much as the next guy, but how can a league
steeped in tradition like baseball move opening night to a Wednesday?
Who would do such a thing?
But yeah, as you just said a moment ago, I'm sorry, what I was saying was that what I meant to say was
that Wednesday is the perfect night to open the season because as you said, the Seattle Seahawks
will open the year Wednesday, September 9th against TBD on a Wednesday.
And they'll be going up against one of the most formidable teams in the league.
Actually, you know what?
We don't know who it's going to be, but I kind of wish the NFL would borrow from professional wrestling
right here and just have the Seahawks go up against the mystery opponent because that would be awesome.
Could you imagine the Seahawks being out there lined up ready to go?
Like, who are they playing?
And then all of a sudden we'll get Jim Ross out there and be like, my God, is that bear down Chicago?
It is.
It's the Chicago bit.
It's good, good Lord almighty.
It's the Chicago it and they run in down the tunnel like the old four horsemen back in the day.
You remember the four horsemen, of course, they were led by Rick Flair.
We all know Rick Flair as the nature boy.
We're cool with that.
We call him the nature boy, but did you know that Rick Flair was not the first nature boy
in professional wrestling?
No, that was buddy Roger.
So what I'm trying to say is that it's possible to people could have the same nickname.
Sugar Ray Robinson.
Sugar Ray Leonard.
A. Rod the baseball player.
A. Rod the football player.
We think we've even had two Joe Kools in the NFL.
And I only bring this up because I think it's important to let George Gervin know that perhaps
it's okay if Caleb Williams is going to use the moniker iceman.
And listen, if this is going to be a throwdown, let's get the bell killer estate in this as well.
Because that's my iceman, dang it.
But listen, here's my thing.
This isn't meant to diminish the legacy of George Gervin.
As a matter of fact, it has led many younger fans to go to YouTube or Google to go see highlights
of George Gervin and see how cool he can be.
This is great for you, George.
This is just an opportunity to let Caleb go out there and continue the legacy.
Much like how Jordan is passing the Green Lantern Ring to John Stewart.
This is a passing of the torch or the torch, bad idea when you're the iceman or anything like that.
But listen, if you can't settle this, then let's settle it on a Wednesday night because that's
when things get settled.
All of a sudden, although it is funny, I only appear on the show Tuesdays, Fridays.
I don't know, Ian, maybe someday I'll make it to Wednesday.
But until that time, let the iceman live.
We have no interest in having you Wednesday.
Friday is fun.
By the way, shout out to all the young kids finding out who George Gervin is.
Also shout out to opening day, being at night, where your ball can hit the foul pole and it's fair.
And then you park on a driveway.
There's a lot of things going on here, Hank.
Thank you very much, as always, for enlightening us and opening up your brain and dumping it out on
them just in front of us.
Miami Pro Day was earlier this week as we make the very nimble transition right there.
Two stars like Carson Beck, Ruben Bane, a key mezzadour, lots of big time talent in Miami.
As was our friend, Campbell, and Jason Taylor, a stud in his own right, they sat down together.
I'm honored to be here with the Hall of Famers.
Jason, thank you for the time.
Coaches maybe spend decades trying to get first round players from their room.
And you've got two first round guys coming out the same year.
What pride do you take in the development from when you got them, so where they are now?
Well, I'm very proud of them.
I think a great amount of pride and joy watching those guys go through their process.
And you know, see their development over the last three and four years,
the development to get to where they are today and the work they put in.
So it's gratifying for me to be able to watch them, but look, they did the work.
They committed to playing the game.
They committed to being Miami Hurricanes and doing it to a certain standard in a certain way.
They committed to leading our room and showing the young guys in our room what it looks like.
What it looks like to be a pro.
And I've always treated them like pros.
I've always telling the guys in the room, like, be a pro.
You know, I'm always going to treat you that way.
I'm going to challenge you and discipline you that way as well,
but you know, those two guys are one of a kind.
And I'm blessed to be in that position.
It's really, it's really a lot easier to be a good coach when you got really good players.
And I got those two in a room full of other good players.
Absolutely. You can see the technique.
You can see the handwork when you watch them play.
And I want to start rooting, because talk to them at the combine.
He's telling stories of you guys working out until 9, 10 p.m.
And the fact that he's trying on your hall of fame,
dreaming, jacking and envision himself.
Can you maybe take me through the personal journey of a kid from Miami
who developed himself to one of the best players in this draft?
Yeah, he's, first of all, he's a guy that loves football.
It's all he cares about is his football.
He loves his family, loves football.
He's totally committed to it, committed to his craft.
And he works at it.
He understands the history of the game.
He understands where he wants to be.
And uses the resources he has available to him.
And it's a unique situation for myself and for him.
And for me as an other guy in the room that I've had 15 years of playing
experience in the NFL and it was able to go as far as I did
and achieve some pretty cool things.
But it's about them now.
So if they talk about it, they bring it up.
They want to see it.
They want to try it on.
They want to bring it there's one room.
If they come to the house and get it,
because I don't bring it out the house.
I'm not that guy.
I'm not that guy's going to walk around in my jacket and my ring.
And it's not about me.
I just want to, I just want to, the easy life in Miami, man,
ride my bike to work, you know, work my 12 hours a day
and ride my bike back home.
I'm keeping it simple.
On a team, obviously a guy that has built himself up,
spent a lot of experience getting him to their team,
maybe share a story of his development,
of maybe how you've seen him grow to this place.
Yeah, he's coming a long way.
I mean, he came here four years ago as a,
I got from West Virginia that played nose tackle
and three technique was a defensive end by trade,
but played in there a lot by a necessity.
Came here, played in with you some adversity,
fought his way back through the adversity,
played defense at tackle fours on 24,
a three technique, started a three technique.
And I thought I played very well,
had a chance to go the NFL last year and made a decision
that he was gonna come back to college for one more year.
And there were some things we needed to change
and put him in a better position,
kind of build some things around what he does best
and what Ruben does best.
But there was a big challenge for him as well
that he had to change his body.
And he wanted to know, what do I need to do
to get from where I am?
Which may be a late round draft pick to,
who knows, maybe a free agent last year?
And we're very candid, we're very open to not us.
We both, the three of us have that relationship,
where we're not, we don't hide truce,
we don't hide bad news, we keep it straight
with one another and,
it's all the look, you need to change your body.
You need to change your body so you can last 50, 60, 70 plays
in the game.
A lot of people in college wrote say,
you know, they play 30, 40 plays in the game
and were not baying and mezz played
the majority of the snaps last year.
And I'm talking about getting 60, 70, 80,
even 90 plays in the game against Florida State,
we played a ton of snaps.
And he committed to doing that.
He's swimming every weekend, every Saturday and Sunday,
he'd go swim 60 laps in a pool.
I don't even know how far that equates to,
but it's a long way.
Yep.
I know Bain went with them one time.
I think Bain got through like 10 laps,
he was like, man, a hell with this, I'm about to drown.
But then another challenge was for them
to become better leaders.
And they've always led well by example,
but needing to be more vocal leaders,
to learn how to lead,
whether it's putting your arm around somebody
and bringing them along,
or putting your foot in their hind parts.
You know, there's different ways of leading
and they had to learn that.
And they weren't comfortable with doing it
just because they're not raw, raw guys.
So those two challenges were both of them,
change their bodies and be better leaders.
The best did that.
And he best went from a guy
that can play football anywhere in the country.
For any team in the NFL as well,
maybe in a later rounds or a free agent
to his name should be called in the first day.
Absolutely.
And they showed their power,
they showed their versatility,
they showed what they can do.
And man, I can't wait to see the next stage
of the development after what they were able to do here.
Miami Jason, thank you so much.
The problem, thanks for having time.
Perth, there's another way of coming up next year or two.
We're reloan, reboot,
and doing one more, do it again.
So I'll see you next year.
Absolutely. I love it.
Appreciate it, man.
Yep, thank you.
Yep, appreciate it.
K-A, move the sticks.
Has his way?
Or if he's a seer in any way,
three Miami players in the top 15
with Mesador getting drafted last,
that is pretty strong stuff
from one of the top programs
in college football camp.
We'll get back in here.
All right, so you were out of Miami pro day.
I know you learned a ton.
Give us a little more of what came out of that day.
Well, my favorite story from Jason Taylor
about Rubin Bain was actually one we shared off camera.
He said he's so all bald that for three years,
they've been calling him homeless
because of his haircut
because he won't go get an haircut.
But it shows that that's the only thing
that matters to him football.
And when I asked Bain about that,
he said, I could give a care,
like a care about a haircut.
All I care about is attacking quarterbacks.
That's the type of guy he is.
Look, the draft process is long.
People try to tell you what you are and what you are.
These arms aren't long enough.
He's not tall enough.
He had a great line to me, Rubin Bain,
and saying that Mike Tyson wasn't tall enough.
He wasn't long enough,
but when you felt him, you felt him.
And I talked to General Managers and coaches there
and about Bain, and they said, hey, look,
these are all data points, height, length.
But when you show up on tape, the power does.
And I had one high raking as Zach said,
I would love to have him on my team.
The problem is he's gonna be gone before we get to him.
I do know that Bain had a meeting with the Titans yesterday.
He also had a meeting with the dolphins
and person earlier this week.
These are teams that are picking in the top 12.
These, he's gonna go very high.
And as far as Mesadour, he's gonna be another player
that people love his versatility.
They wanted to show they can play both three, four,
and four, three linebacker or defensive in at the pro day.
And it sounds like it went well
as far as evaluator's minds.
Yeah, one thing we know, Cam,
teams cannot get enough edge rushers.
And when they are good, they get paid a lot of money.
Big time, contracts, likely coming.
For some of those guys, great stuff,
as always, Cam, really appreciate all the contributions today.
From the San Francisco 49ers,
I would say surprising announcement
that 27 year old pass rusher Bryce Huff
has decided to retire.
Now, there was a lot that goes into every decision.
A lot that goes into certainly these life changing decisions.
So what better way to roll on on the insiders with me
in Rappaport and Omar Ruiz,
with that man right there, former San Francisco 49er,
edge rusher Bryce Huff.
Bryce, thank you very much for joining us tonight
on the show.
I will start with the obvious question.
Why did you decide to retire at this time?
Pretty much me and my brother have been building this company
for the last two and a half years or so.
And we've been picking up a lot of steam,
weight options with my team and advisors.
And we felt like this was the best thing to do.
Well, Napier Stone is the company that you're referring to.
Whenever we go to the airport,
whenever you check in online, we're asked,
if you have any lithium batteries in your bags,
we're all aware of what that is.
But how is this a point of interest to you, Bryce,
and what caused you to invest in it the way that you have?
Yeah, so I mean, with the rapid adoption
of lithium batteries across multiple industries,
there's a constant fire risk.
One of the things that you just talked about
was boarding planes and things like that.
So there's always a risk of them running away,
taking place and exposing people to harmful toxins
for the people in danger on planes.
A lot of industries are suffering
from the lithium-ion batteries.
Currently, waste and recycling being one of the main ones
that are being heard by this,
the battery energy storage systems, data centers,
and things like that need updated infrastructure
to support the lithium-ion batteries.
And that's something that us at the Aberstone
are taking personally to going and upgrade the infrastructure
and provide more safety for people's assets,
protect the data centers
because they're crucial to our society right now.
So those are some of the things
that we're working on currently.
Certainly a very cool interest area,
very important interest area sounds like.
Also, the kind of thing that theoretically you could do
while also playing it,
it's an interesting decision to retire this young.
You have been, it's been several weeks since you made
the announcement on your Instagram.
Has there been any regret, any thought of going back
or where would you describe your peace level
now with that decision?
I'm extremely at peace with it,
especially because this is something that I feel strongly about.
I feel like we're going to save a lot of lives,
protect a lot of companies, protect a lot of assets,
and I mean, just for me being so young
I've always been an entrepreneur,
I've always thought of ways to move society forward.
And I feel like this is a great opportunity for me being my age
to get immersed in the business world,
immersed in the company and learning the engine
and how it's going to take to be a successful founder.
Well, characteristics from your football career,
do you think you're going to apply to this endeavor?
Tons of them.
So definitely perseverance because most things don't go to plan
when it comes to new companies
and not being deetered by any niche steps
just learning as we go,
continue to grow our network,
continue to learn about the tech and ways
that we can innovate to improve.
So I mean, those are just things that would help immediately
just getting better one percent every day.
And no doubt something that helped you on your journey.
And it's actually, besides this part of it,
being a very cool story, which is walking away
to pursue a significant business interest,
you're also a cool story in another way.
It's sort of the old-fashioned way.
You're an undrafted free agent.
You earned your way to a massive three-year,
$51.5 million dollar contract with the Philadelphia Eagles,
ended up obviously getting traded to the 49ers.
But it is a pretty interesting
and let's see, somewhat rare rags to riches story.
Now that you are on the other side of it,
and as you said at peace,
how do you think you went from undrafted scrapping
to find your way onto roster to someone
who ended up making a lot of money
very successfully?
10 Sacks is your career high in the NFL?
I mean, some of the things that I just talked about,
not being, not letting my goals and my dreams be crushed
while the people's perception of me is working
and just showing up on the field,
and just letting the work speak for itself.
So that's really just what we're going into,
just not letting anybody discourage me,
just continuing to work and push to become the player
I know I could be.
Awesome, great stuff, Bryce.
We really appreciate this.
Good luck to you, your brother to Napier Stone,
successful business, also doing a lot of good in the world.
Thank you very much for hanging out with us.
Thanks for having us forever.
Before you're tracking your company and your progress.
I appreciate it.
Thanks, Bryce.
I mentioned Jeffrey Chudillo was coming back,
and now he is officially back.
What's up, Chudillo?
What's going on?
I'm going to get back to some of those questions
we were talking about earlier after a wild, wild free agency
that answered a lot of things, but not all of them.
One of the unanswered questions in free agency, after free agency,
what happens to Max Crosby after that trade?
That wasn't, what's next?
Yeah, certainly a lot of buzz about what didn't happen
that trade, but to me, it seemed like Max Crosby
has still got to be in play at some point.
I know he's not going to get those two first rounders
that Baltimore was dangling to the Raiders,
but at some point in some way, Chicago,
which still needs patch fishing help,
team like Philadelphia.
I know how a Roseman, their GM,
can get really creative with his roster.
Peppa Bay needs more patch fishing help.
There's teams out there that need a guy of this caliber,
a guy who can change games for you.
And so it might not happen until the mid season,
but I have to believe that some point,
Max Crosby is going to move on from the Raiders.
Now, if the Raiders do not improve,
you really do wonder if all of that chatter
comes back, if they do improve,
then it'll probably be a happy camper.
Meanwhile, for the Kansas City Chiefs,
they got Patrick Mahomes coming back from a torrent,
ACL and LCL saw a little video of him throwing this week.
That is not exactly where your focus lies.
Tell me what's next for this Chiefs defense.
Yeah, it's been all offense, offense, offense
for the Chiefs is off season,
especially with Kenneth Walker coming in
to play running back,
but they need a lot of help on defense.
They made some savvy moves,
bringing in Kyra's Tongue at defense attack,
and a lowly Gilman at safety,
but they lost three-fourths of their secondary
when Trent McDuffey,
General Watson and Brian Cook, all left town.
They lost a really good linebacker in Leo Chanel,
and Steve Sprague, no, no, there.
The defensive coordinator has been amazing
at just crafting packages and getting this team ready to play,
but the personnel now,
they were allying in a lot of unknown players,
a lot of young players.
The draft is coming.
They got to find an edge rusher, a corner, a safety.
A lot of help needs to come this way.
Pretty intimidating stuff.
All right, big off season ahead for the Kansas City Chiefs.
What about the in season for Tua Tug of Aloe?
What is next for him?
Well, just like Colin Murray,
right opportunity to resurrect his career in Atlanta,
signed the one-year deal.
I think it was a smart move for him
and for that franchise.
Michael Penix is going to his third year here.
He's been injured and inconsistent.
I know Tua's had the same problems,
but he's a lot more accomplished player.
He's going to be playing for a regime
that didn't draft Michael Penix
in cutting him to General Manager,
which came as the fast key to head coach.
A lot of weapons, B. John Robinson, Drake London, Kyle Pitt.
So great opportunity for Tua.
If he can stay healthy,
get back to where he was in 2022, 2023,
he can turn his career around.
Surprising number of training camp battles.
I'm looking forward already to what's going to happen
on the field in July and August,
into September, Jeffrey.
Great stuff.
Thank you for hanging out with us all hour long
on the insiders.

Earlier in the show, we interviewed two members
of the New Orleans Saints from the SEND,
which is a river in Paris.
And if you're wondering how in the world we did it,
there they are right there in behind the scenes,
but it's Doug Miller, Saints, PR, Guru,
helping make this interview happen.
It was loud, there was an engine, there was a parade,
there was people yelling, there was all sorts of connection stuff.
And it looked awesome on camera and we could hear them
and they could hear us.
And I've never interviewed anybody from a river in Paris before,
but I can cross that off the bucket list.
So that's a pretty cool thing.
Anyway, great stuff for everyone.
