Todd McLellan called the team out, and the team responded. Albert Johansson's shorthanded goal proved to be the game-winner and Emmitt Finne opened the game with a 5v5 goal from the 4th line. John Gibson left the game injured but will reportedly be ok. Red Wings drop new streaming service. #LGRW

Today on Lockdown Redwings, the jerseys respond with an impressive performance in Nashville.
For Lockdown Redwings, your daily podcast on the Detroit Redwings, part of the Lockdown
Podcast Network, your team every day.
Welcome back to the Lockdown Redwings Podcast.
We are your hosts, Brian Fisher and Scotty Bentley, part of the Lockdown Podcast Network,
your team every day.
You can listen to us wherever you get your podcasts, including on YouTube and Scotty that
Detroit Redwings in a rare Metinee game on a Monday, beat Nashville in Nashville 4-2.
We did actually, you know, hand up, right?
We had our hands up, like this is something that we could have easily Googled and figured
out.
Like we were just like, nobody knows about it, uh, Google knew we should have been able
to Google it.
That's on us.
The reason they moved at the 2 p.m. as people have made it abundantly clear in the comments
and I appreciate everyone who pointed it out is because that what this part of their
grow the game campaign and so it's a prime time game in Europe.
So that's why they moved it from 8 o'clock to 2 o'clock is because they wanted to be prime
time in Europe.
Then the Redwings won that game on national television in Europe or however they run their
cable networks out there.
Scotty, how do you feel, what do you feel about the game?
4-2 win.
Honestly, I think it's a good win and like we, when we previewed the game yesterday we
were talking about like, oh, you should probably just go in and just be able to take care
of business, whatever.
Still believe that and I'm glad that we're talking about a win here.
But I mean, like Gibson goes down, you know, the season is flashing before our eyes.
Like we're all terrified and wondering what like the extent of that injury is and there's
some penalties that happen and then there's like the wings get off to a great start and
then like the spreads kind of creep back into it and tie the game and I just, I feel like
the first 10, 15 minutes were all wings and then from the shorthanded goal on was all wings
and I'm really glad that they were able to kind of not only respond to McClellan's comments
just in general, like in throughout the 60 minutes, right, in the game, but they kind
of had a response to, you know, kind of getting pushed back a little bit after the hot start
and especially again, like maybe your MVP of the season so far getting hurt and they didn't
let any of that phase them. I think to me, that is, is much bigger and more important
than anything else.
Yeah, and they came out of the gate absolutely flying in the soccer game as you put because
of the call out by Todd McClellan after the game in Carolina and they looked like they had
juicing the soccer game and it resulted in a pretty early lead for the Detroit Red wings.
They got on the board quickly and it was again, one of those guys that has not had much
of an impact on this team outside of how he started the season in Emmett Finney who
got the first goal for Detroit at five on five, which is important. It was a shot by
Appleton redirected by Casper that was then buried by Finney on the rebound and Saros was
given up huge rebounds all game long and like that, that was your fourth line in this hockey
game too because the lines were put in a blender at the end of the Carolina game and they
stayed that way to start of this game and throughout this game and so it was, it was
the response that the team needed to Todd McClellan calling them out is like getting a fourth
line goal from someone like Emmett Finney who hasn't scored in what feels like forever
assisted by two guys who don't get a lot of points this season in Appleton and Casper
was like put their best foot forward for the rest of the game and they really didn't
let up off the gas I felt until the third period when they're defending the lead and you
know, National starts pushing back. National's best period by far was the third period for sure,
but that, you know, that's part of the course when you're defending a one goal lead. It
was a great way to start that hockey game. I am a little frustrated though, Scotty, I texted
to you it right before National scored, of course, but I texted you it. I was like, it
is a little frustrating that the Detroit brings need to be called out by their head coach
to play at this level like you see this and you know that this is what they're capable
of doing yet most of the time it feels like the energy is not there for that and I know
you can't play 110% for 82 games. It's a long season, but this stretch leading up to the
deadline like it determines a lot and you know, you and I are of the camp that the Red Wing should
buy regardless of their standings that come the deadline because they are in a great position,
but that doesn't mean iserman feels the same way we've seen in years past that iserman has
decided what he's going to do at the deadline based on the week leading up to the deadline
because that's when the team begins to typically fizzle out. So it was great to see them respond
this way and start March the all scary March 1 and 0, but it was that was in the back of my mind
not to sound like a Debbie Downer because I know that comes across as like they just won and they
won 42 on the road and they got what four of a possible six points to end this road trip coming
out of the break, but it was just like they're capable of doing this where has this been and that
was definitely in the back of my mind. I mean, again, I'm very happy they won and they created more
separation, but that was definitely that frustration was definitely there. Yeah, and I think that that's
fair. I also think that it's it is I don't know if there's just there's a lot of of back and forth
in my head with that conversation because it's like, okay, but then, you know, for the whatever,
10 minutes after that hot start, they got pushed around a little bit like I don't know, it's just
it's been a weird year where they have found so much success despite the fact that they're a terrible
first period team that it's like, okay, well, you know, I'm I'm glad they they showed up in the first
period, but it you know, it's not like they won seven nothing either like it and just ran away
with it. So I don't know, I appreciate the fact that there was a response. Oh, you also completely
agree with you. I think all your your comments there are valid in that like you probably shouldn't
need a public call out to get off to a good start, but it's also been working for them. So like,
I don't know, it's just a weird it's a weird kind of back and forth. Well, and I think that brings us
to our difference makers in this hockey game. And that was those who responded, right? Like,
we've talked a lot about the fact that the Red Wings don't get any depth scoring. And the fact
that the Red Wings don't score at five on five. And both those things happen in this hockey game.
And what you know it, they scored four goals and one, two of their goals came at five on five,
Lucas Raymond's goal and Emmett Finney's goal. And two of their goals were scored by guys who
don't score a lot. Like that was Emmett Finney's 10th goal of the season. And it was noted by
Prashan Thair before the game that the Red Wings were the only team in the NHL who did not have at
least five players with 10 goals. And then Finney immediately went and scored his 10th goal and
cut that down. So I thanked Prashan because clearly he was the reason that that happened.
But that those were huge goals. You know, that fourth line for Detroit, they were so good in
this hockey game. It was Marco, Marco Casper, Emmett Finney and Mason Appleton. And those are
three guys who really haven't been able to do much no matter where they were in the lineup. And in
this game, like as the fourth line, they came out and they grind it away, puck battles and they
got possession. And for once the fourth line was able to convert and score a goal. And it was
because they crashed the net. They put the puck on net. They got tick advantage of a juicy rebound.
And that is what the team's been lacking is just like getting to those high danger areas and
converting on rebound opportunities. And like thankfully, Finney was able to do so.
Yeah. And nice to see Finney just get production period. I mean, as you kind of mentioned there,
it's been a while. It's just it's so the locked on Red Wing's curse lives on, man. The opposite
of everything we complain about happens immediately after and has for years now seemingly. But yes,
you know, we asked for anybody outside of the core to produce points and for depth scoring and
for five on five goals and et cetera on the immediately do all of those things, which is great.
And hopefully that's a sign of things to come. And they can do that against, you know, better
and better opponents. But it starts with one step. So we'll take it.
100%. I mean, I think the other, you know, difference maker in this hockey game outside of that
depth scoring or outside of M at Finney's goal. But like, you know, Albert Johansson scores on a
shorthanded goal. Like that goes alongside. He's a part of that depth scoring and Marco Casper
assisted on that goal as well. So Marco Casper is a two point night on a multi point night, which
he doesn't get a lot of right. So it's like all of those. Oh my gosh. And Mason Appleton assisted on
he got the secondary on that one too. So I mean, Mason Appleton to assist night. Appleton started
at the board battle that led to the story, right? Yeah. Marco Casper to assist night goals from Finney,
goals from Johansson. That was only a second goal of this season. And it ended up being the
game winner shorthanded. So I mean, that's, that's huge. That, that was the difference in the
hockey game is time of calling called them out. They came out of juice and the depth scoring
produced in the hockey game. It wasn't all left up to to bring it in Raymond who did end up
scoring on this game as well. But when you add depth scoring on top of that, wouldn't you know it
you'll one four to two? It's just like that's, that's the biggest takeaway. Yeah, I, I completely
agree. I, I'm realizing that I, that I did not give a difference maker. You gave both of them,
I, I, I, I, I realized it on my end. I probably should have said it when you threw it back to me
after the first one. But I, I agree with you. And as I already kind of alluded to it, the beginning,
like, I really feel like momentum was completely shifted after the, the shorthanded goal,
like understandably so. But that along with then, you know, finishing out that like you're still
on the kill there, right? Like finishing that out. And, and getting the lead in via a shorthanded goal
is can't be understated or can't be overstated. I guess how important that is and how important
that was for momentum. And I feel like even though National had worked their way back into it
and whatever, like after that moment, it, it, you know, all the momentum was back in Detroit's
favor. So I completely agree. Scott, let's head to a quick break when we return. We'll talk about
other store lines from the talking game. So stay tuned to segment two of Lockdown Redwings.

the deadline. If you use promo code deadline at locked on podcast dot com forward slash every day

store lines from this hockey game? What's the dots? Yeah. What? Maybe we can talk gold tending.
Obviously, we already talked about Gibson, but Talbot comes in in relief and holds down the fort
to be honest. They had a couple of really big saves. The one goal he gave up was kind of more on
the defense and Edvinson. And I think Edvinson would tell you the same thing. He almost smashed
to stick on the ice after it after it happened. So yeah, I think that that's one of my biggest takeaways
is that you know, it's it's funny. Like we talk all the time about like injury replacements and
going into a game. It is so hard to be on the bench. No helmet on like no mask on. If you're a
goalie and you're not starting, you do not expect to play a period. You got the night off,
you're J chilling. And then in the middle of a game, not only in the middle of a game, in the
middle of a close game, your number is called and you got to go out there and get the win. And I
give them all the credit in the world. I think this is a assuming that Gibson is 100% healthy
and everything's totally fine. This is a kind of worked out well for the wings in terms of Talbot
because obviously we talked about him. What was that yesterday? We talked about him in better days
game. And you know, he wasn't absolutely terrible, but like, you know, maybe you'd hope for a little
bit more. Didn't have the greatest game ever in for him to go out there even with giving up a goal
and be able to maybe get some momentum back under his wings as well. I'm sure won't be unnoticed.
Yeah, that was the big takeaway for me too. You know, you're not side of the depth scoring
and the five on five scoring, you know, Talbot coming in, especially after a game in which we
have really criticized him for not doing enough to bail the red wings out. Something that we've been
very lucky to have in Gibson. He comes in in relief. And he did talk about in the post game that
he knew for about, he knew the final 10 minutes of the first period. He'd be going into the second
that they let him that Gibson said like, Hey, I took a shot. I don't really can't really feel my arm.
And the reporting coming out of the locker room after the game is that Gibson will be okay.
It looks like it was just a stinger. So Gibson worst case scenario dodged. That's terrifying.
Do this. A stinger where you just don't feel your entire arm is. That just goes numb. Scary.
Dude, yeah. So Talbot had time to warm up because he knew he was going in, but he had a really good
relief for, uh, relief appearance. 19 shots against one goal against yet a goal saved
of both expected of 1.41. At times he was swimming a little bit net for sure. He got a couple
lucky breaks, but he made some really good saves. And the red wings as much as we talk about the
depth scoring, but Gibson came up big because again, the predators were pushing a lot in the third
period. And they needed him to make big saves. And he did. So Gibson, absolutely deserves a
ton of credit because coming in real, coming in in relief is a really, really hard thing to do in
the NHL. So, uh, Talbot, I should say gets a ton of, I mean, I think I said Gibson, but Talbot,
of course, gets a lot of the credit here. I'm just used to saying Gibson because he's been so
good. But Talbot gets a lot of credit. Yeah. He usually gets a lot of the credit. Uh, you know,
it's funny. He was talking about how Appleton Casper had 2.9s, but I also think I believe both
Raymond and to bring it did two because to bring it assisted on Lucas Raymond's goal, the filthy
feed to Lucas Raymond. Uh, for that, like, I don't know what was better. The shot placement from Lucas
Raymond in tight going back across post in or the filthy saucer pass from Alex to bring it over the
stick of the defender to Lucas Raymond. It was a sick goal. And you know, again, you need your best
players to be your best players. That was his 20th goal to see as an, I thought that again, we
talked a little bit about the fourth line. Bless you. The fourth line being so good for the
talking game. Honestly, the first and the second line with how odd the combinations were. Yeah,
worked out pretty well too. And the second line was to bring it Raymond and Andrew Cobb. And they
combined for two goals in the soccer game. Granted, one was empty net. But still, it was a great
goal by Raymond and Alex to bring it gets his 31st the empty net. Yeah. If you would have told me that
there would be a goal in which Raymond and to bring it were a part of. And there was an incredible
pass that led to a great finish. I don't think I would have picked that order. And not that it's
impossible. Obviously, Raymond is just a fantastic all around player and cats having a great year
himself. But I think that most people probably would have defaulted to like, oh, like what kind of
past did Raymond do this time? And like, you know, to bring it one step closer to push in 40. But
yeah, absolutely beautiful. And I think it's a it is a nice I don't think reminders the right word
because we're hoping for more of it going forward. But it's just one of those things that again,
we talk so much about the five on five production and who needs to step up. And obviously the depth
is vital, right? And you need it. But at the end of the day, like you need your best players to be
able to produce that even strength to and like more than anything else, right? Those are the guys
that are on the ice the most they get paid the most that they're the the biggest players on the
team. And so it's it's nice to to see. And yeah, hopefully, I mean, you know, Raymond Larkin
Sider, you know, the Olympians will be able to carry that that momentum forward.
100% and it it's kind of funny when you watch Alex to bring get score that goal where he
like quite literally, I think it was cop looked off cop cop was driving to the slot. Yeah,
and absolutely just was like wide open for a feed. And to bring it just like stuck his stick out
and around to score it itself. And he sees a reaction after two. He pointed that copy. He was like,
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, like darn, you know, sorry, you know, I had to score that to bring
gets on a quest for 40 goals. I'm okay with it. So yes, overall pretty solid game for the Red
Wings. It wasn't their best effort of the season, but a much improved effort and a deserved win
with how they started. Second period was strong, defended pretty well in the third, although they
definitely needed some help from get a Talbot in that. And he's he stepped up. You mentioned
Edvinson. And man, he's having a rough return from the game for him. Yeah, rusty. I mean that
they at one point the Red Wings trailed two to one after getting out to a one to nothing lead.
And Edvinson turns the puck over in the D zone and then plays the two on one the absolute
worst possible way. And it's just kind of an, we saw in Carolina, he directly resulted in two
goals against with his play. Obviously, we know Simon Edvinson is very, very good. I chuck a lot
of this up to just like coming back from being off for about a month, trying to get back up to
game speed and realizing like, oh, yeah, like his game management just is not been great since
his return. I'm not worried, but it's just been it's been rough the last couple of days. And
but a they won in spite of it. Yeah, for sure. I think all of that is fair. I also do appreciate
like he is very clearly willing to take on the role of like the bleepsterer. Like he did that
again in this game, you know, behind the net. I think it was the end of the second period.
It was just kind of wreaking havoc back there. And kind of like anybody who was near him was
just going to get pushed around and you know, get a face full of mitt. So yeah, I mean,
there certainly has been a lot of not growing pains, but just like shaking off the rust so far,
since coming back. But I think again, like I don't think either of us are worried. I think we
do just chalk it up to that to just shaking off the rust. You know, for as long as a break,
as everybody else had, he had, you know, another two weeks on top of that. So
Scotty, let's head to another break when we return. We'll finish up our conversation on this
game. Eric Gustafson was waved today as well as the announcement of the new Detroit streaming
service. So we'll talk about those in segment three. So stay tuned to lock down red wings.
All right, before we get to that, though, Scotty, I wanted to ask your opinion because there's
a hot topic. The Red Wing's game winning goal. We already touched upon it was Alberto Hansen 211
one timer from Marco Casper. But there's a lot of controversy around a potential mist trip from
Marco Casper upon Roman, Yoshi in the defensive zone. Red wings are already on the power play.
Or I'm sorry, on the penalty kill. So the debate is was this game management by the officials to not
put the Red Wing's down five on three. Or do you think it was a good non-call because I haven't
opinion on this, but I want to hear what you have to say. I mean, to be completely honest with you,
I didn't, based on the replays that I saw, I didn't think it was like as blatant as maybe it
looked on ice with him, like, you know, falling backwards. Obviously, you see a guy do that,
and your immediate response is like, oh, that's probably a trip. I guess admittedly, I didn't see
where the stick ended up. But I mean, regardless, I don't think that it was a game management. I
think it probably was either a genuine mist call or a good no call. I guess I'll put it that way.
I do not think that this was a game management thing that led to that. I think if that was the
case, they probably would have been way more ticky tacky with the wings, the remainder of the game,
and they probably would have given them a makeup call here or there or something. I think there's
definitely a cop out answer here. I think it's a little bit about, right? Like, I think there's
game management involved, but I also think it was the, and this is the hot take. I think it's a good
non-call. Now, if they had called it, I would, you've seen that call a thousand times before. I mean,
I wouldn't fight it, but also in the rules, rule 57.1, a player shall not have the exact rule pulled
up. That's crazy. Have a Monday, bud. A player shall not place the stick, knee, foot, arm,
hand, or elbow in such a manner that causes this is upon a trip or fall. You go, okay, well,
that's what happened. But it goes on. Accidental trips, which occur simultaneously with a completed
play will not be penalized. Accidental trips occurring simultaneously with or after a stoppage of
play will also not be penalized. So that second sentence is key here when understanding what happened
because if you watch the play, Marco Casper did not, his, he was not making a play on Roman
Yoshi's legs. He played the puck first. He was trying to complete a play on a clearing attempt
when Roman Yoshi tripped over Marco Casper's stick while he was making a play on the puck.
So that was my initial reaction is to, because I thought the same thing. I was like, oh my god,
they missed the trip. And then I was watching the play. I was like, I think the reason they didn't
call it was because Casper made a play on the puck that then Yoshi tripped over his stick on.
And then, you know, there are people who point out their real book. I pulled out their real book.
I'm like, yeah, that's a good. That is by the books a non call. That's a good non call.
But again, I understand, you know, that trip is, that tripping call has been made a thousand
times before. And they probably do make it if it's not already a penalty kill for Detroit,
in which Nashville's had a couple more than Detroit. So I see it both ways. I think it's by the
by the letter of the law a good non call, because it was Casper trying to make a play on the puck.
He was completing a play on the puck. Yoshi tripped over his stick. He didn't trip him.
But again, not to beat that dead horse. I wouldn't have been more angry at me called it.
Like the players are obviously going to Nashville, like be upset. And I think the reason why,
even if it isn't by definition, is because of what you alluded to there, right? Where it's like,
that's been called a thousand times in the same breath. So yeah, I think that's probably a
a decent summary of the events. Scotty Eric Gustafson was placed on waivers today. He's been
with Detroit for quite some time. We played in a handful of games, though, as kind of their eighth
defenseman. Honestly, you know, this is a moment where Grand Rapids Griffins fans kind of hold
their breath, because he's been really good with the Griffins. But he's also a veteran NHLD man
who's very capable of playing power play minutes. You see him getting claimed off waivers.
I don't know. Maybe I feel like I said the same thing last time. Like I, right. Yeah, I'm not sure
too much has changed in that regard. The one difference now, timing-wise, is just with the
deadline looming that if a team is like, hey, we're going to unload more players at the NHL level
than we're going to get. Maybe we have a spot open up for a defenseman. That certainly throws,
like that's a lot different at the beginning of the season, right? Just in terms of
roster construction and, you know, player management and whatnot. So I do think that there's probably
a higher likelihood than there was, you know, when they did this at the start of the year, but I,
I'm not sure that either of those odds were ever above 50%. So we'll see.
I think there's a higher chance now than there was at the beginning of the season just because
we're also approaching the trade deadline. So for teams looking for savvy additions, they might
look at Guss of Sin as being like a free addition to their power play that they don't have to pay for
outside of the, you know, his remaining salary, which is what two and a half million for the remainder
of the year. And I mean, it's not even technically that much because it'd be pro-rated to what's
remainder on his contract. But, you know, the cap hit on the cap sheet would be 2.5. So I mean,
I think there's a chance he gets claimed. I don't think that it negatively impacts the Red Wings.
It would negatively impact the Griffins who have clinched their first playoff spot or clinched
a playoff spot already. But I'm not overly concerned about it one way. I would be a little
disappointed that the Red Wings couldn't find a trade partner for Guss of Sin, but I think that the
fact that he's still on this team's depth chart speaks to how other teams value him, the fact that
we couldn't move him. Then, Scotty, the Red Wings, the Red Wings and the Tigers formally announced
the Detroit Sportsnet. And you just got done talking about it on your Tiger Show because I know
you recorded that right before how it happened on here with me. So I need to tell the people a
little bit about Detroit Sportsnet. Yeah, honestly, there's not a ton to tell. Like,
this was really just an announcement that this exists. And if you don't have cable, here's the price.
That is essentially what the announcement today was. So obviously a big deal. We knew that this
was coming, but it has a name. It is officially official, etc. Also for Wings fans specifically,
this does not affect you until this fall. They will finish out the remainder of this season on
Fandall. So if you are somebody who is only a Red Wings fan and only a hockey fan and has no
interest in the Tigers or, well, I guess just the Tigers, then this really doesn't change your
viewing for this season at least at all. But next year, you'll have to join the Detroit Sportsnet,
if you will. So yeah, it's the same price as Fandall pretty much except you get, you don't get
the pistons. So you get less bang for your buck, I guess, technically. But I would imagine that
most people that are still fans of either the Tigers or Wings are still just going to bite the bullet
on it. The interesting thing that the reason why I made it sound like there's still not a lot of
info is because if you watch your games via cable or satellite even, we have no clue still. I guess
we know that it is coming and we know that it almost certainly will be a part of, but we don't know
which cable providers are picking it up. We don't know within the cable providers which packages,
like you need to buy in order to have it be a part of your thing. Like we still don't know any of
that. So if you're, you know, if you have direct TV or Comcast or whatever and you're like,
oh, I'm just waiting to see what happens. We have no new information for you. We still are just
waiting to see what happens. This is pretty much just the announcement of it exists. If you stream,
it's 180 a year. And if, again, if you're a Tiger fan, you got to do it immediately. If you're
just doing the wings, then you can wait until the summer and next year. No pistons yet. I say
yet because I just feel like from a business perspective, it makes a ton of sense for both parties
to figure something out. But again, that won't be until next fall for the pistons either. If
they're not going to do it for the wings, they're certainly not going to do it for the pistons
for the rest of this season. So yeah, we'll see. But that's pretty much that's pretty much all I know.
Yeah, I mean, my takeaways is essentially re-skinned Fandall sports network. It'll obviously be
its own entity, but it very clearly took a cue from the way that they run it in the pricing plan
in particular. It's $20 a month, $190 a year. $190 a year, by the way, averages out to about 15,
50 per month. So it's cheaper to which makes sense is how they always do it. But it makes more
financial sense to buy the yearly pet plan. If you plan on watching it, you know, having it for a
while, then it does the monthly because you're saving, you know, about 20% across the year by
buying it up front. Notably, you talked about the cable, but in terms of internet streaming as well,
because, you know, I have the app for Fandall. I was like, okay, what about the app? Tigers will
be on the MLB app. So those who have the subscription will be watching the Tigers through the MLB app,
available and broadcast details for the Red Wings on what their streaming platform they're
going to be on, or if they're going to have their own streaming platform. It's a shared,
we'll be shared this summer. So we know the price point, which is the same as Fandall, which we really
don't know much outside of the name essentially in the pricing plan. They dropped the name and
they dropped how much money you have to give them. And that's essentially it. We still don't know
most information. There's still, I feel like more questions, honestly, that answer. The only
thing that got answered was name and against price point. Everything else is still kind of a question,
especially from the wing side of things. There is a little bit of a promotion going on with it,
where if you sign up for it for April 1st, I mean, like in air. You get three days for free,
right? Because it's the first series of the game. Tiger series of the season for free.
For free. They're like trying to make it sound like it's this big thing. We're oh, if you sign up
now, you get, you know, you don't pay it to April 1st. Well, spring training games are already free.
And on MLB TV, like whether you have a subscription or not. And yeah, they play three total games in
March. So like cool. Yeah. And then with the red wings, obviously, we don't. It is. So my problem
is with per annals be candidly here. They're charging you the same amount for less content. And now
I only watch, I only watch Fandall for the tigers and the red wings. So that's not going to change
for me. Like for what I'm getting out of it, I'm paying the same amount for the same product. But
Fandall also offered the pistons. Fandall also offered the PWHL on a couple of different sports
shows, things I didn't take advantage of high school sports to a lot of high school sports too.
But they were on there where all we know with this so far is it's going to be just the red wings
and tigers. So you're being charged the same amount for less content. Now, I mean, I'm pigeonholed.
Like I'm getting it regardless because I'm going to watch it's cheaper than getting a cable package.
But I that is to note that they're charging you the same amount for less content, at least as of what
we know right now. For sure. Yeah. And that's what I kind of alluded to is like I I said this on
tigers as well. Like I'd I would be somewhat surprised if they did not get a deal done with the
pistons by the pistons next season. Right. It just seems like it makes way too much sense not only for
the like illitch and the network. But it also just makes all the sense in the world for the pistons.
What are they going to have a one off network or or older just going to stay with
Fandall like that doesn't seem like that would be in their best interest either. So I I hope that
that is the case certainly is the pistons are you know the hottest ticket in town and are having
a great year and have an MVP candidate and all of this we want eyes on the pistons. So hopefully
that is the case. But certainly nothing that will happen in the rest of this season for them or
the red wings. Yeah. And if they get the pistons, I mean, that's like 99% of the content people
are turning to Fandall for in those three brands. It's just like right now. It's two of those
three brands minus all the other smaller stuff that Fandall did offer that I didn't take advantage of
and I'll be candid about that. But it's the fact that it was offered and it's not being offered
at the same price point now. For sure. So no, you're I think it's right. Yeah. Scotty any other
final thoughts? We ball, baby. We do ball. We'll be back with a new episode tomorrow. We've got a
preview of the game against the Vegas Golden Knights. So stay tuned for that. Same time. Same place.
Your team. Every day.
