President Trump says the U.S. is considering winding down its war in Iran.
Trump posted Friday night that, quote, we are getting very close to meeting our objectives
as we consider winding down our great military efforts in the Middle East.
He said his objectives included preventing Iran from getting close to nuclear capability,
completely degrading Iran's military capabilities and eliminating their navy and air force.
He added that the straight-of-hormouse will have to be guarded and police by other nations
who use it and said the U.S. will help, if asked.
Iran is targeting a joint U.S. U.K. military base in the Indian Ocean.
The Wall Street Journal says Iran launched two long-range missiles toward Diego Garcia
on Friday and atoll in the British Indian Ocean Territory.
The report says one of the missiles failed in flight and the second was intercepted by a U.S.
Diego Garcia is about 2,500 miles from Iran.
The strikes are the longest-ranging missile attack from the country since the war started.
Elon Musk is offering to pay the salaries of TSA employees as the partial government shutdown
Billionaire Tesla CEO posted the offer on the social media platform X, early today,
saying he would cover the cost, quote, during this funding impasse that is negatively affecting
the lives of so many Americans at airports across the country.

who helped draft the warrant that led to the Kentucky shooting of Brianna Taylor.

against the Louisville officers and called it weaponized federal overreach.
Taylor was killed in 2020 after police officers conducted a no-knock warrant at an apartment
she shared with her boyfriend.
Her boyfriend says he believed they were intruders and fired a single gunshot at them, prompting
them to open fire, killing Taylor.
CBS is laying off 6% of its staffers and shuddering its decades-old CBS News radio service
