but they have recovered the cockpit and flight data recorders.

was not damaged as they'll begin work on the FDR,
the flight data recorder tomorrow.
Two air-Canada pilots died, 40 passengers hurt

also in that collision last night.
ICE agents are going to the nation's airports
to help TSA agents who've been working without pay.
The partial government shutdown has led
to miss paychecks for the agents
and many have called out sick
and in some cases quit their jobs altogether.
ICE agents are helping with crowd control
as lines at some security checkpoints
have been long due to the staffing shortage.
It comes as Hartzfield, Jackson, Atlanta,
international airport has told travelers
to arrive at least four hours early

Trading closed higher after President Trump said the US
and Iran held productive talks
and he was holding off on targeting
Iranian energy infrastructure,
stocks rallied as oil prices dropped
below $100 a barrel as well.
That easy bake oven of a heat dome
that has millions in the Southwest
suffering a record-setting temperatures
is spreading now into the southern plains.
Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas,
pracing for record highs this week.
Parts of the Midwest could also be affected.
Meanwhile, this heat wave is nowhere near over
with the Southwest high temperatures expected
throughout this entire week.
President Trump's threat to go after Iran's power plants
if Iran does not reopen the straight-up
or moves is being put on hold.
The President posted on True Social Monday morning
that the US and Iran have had what he called
very good and productive conversations
regarding a complete and total resolution
of our hostilities in the Middle East.
As a result, Trump said,
I have instructed the Department of War
to postpone any and all military strikes
against Iranian power plants
and energy infrastructure for a five-day period
subject to the success of the ongoing meetings
and discussions on Michael Kassner.
Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullin
is the step closer to becoming the next head
of the Department of Homeland Security.
The Senate voted 54-37 on Sunday
to clear the way for a final confirmation vote,
Mullin would replace Christy Nome,
who was fired by President Trump earlier this month,
and appointed a special envoy
for the Shield of the Americas,
a new anti-drug initiative
in the Western Hemisphere, a Mark Mefield.
There's a new survey out saying
Gen Z would rather not drink.
The Lending Tree Report found that 53%
of Gen Z reported they don't drink.
That was followed by 47%
of baby boomers and Gen Xers
who also avoid spirits.
Millennials were found to be the most likely
to drink with 63% saying they do.
Overall, 56% of Americans say
they consume alcohol.

A federal panel has approved
a commemorative gold coin
with President Trump's likeness on it.
A commission of fine arts
gave the go ahead for the 24-karat coin
that commemorates America's 250th anniversary.
The Trump-appointed panel has approved the design
that features an image of President Trump
in the Oval Office leaning on his desk looking stern.
He's flanked by 1776 on one side
and 2026 on the other.
The other side of the coin shows a bald eagle.
That's about to take flight.
