President Trump is expressing optimism that the war in Iran will end soon.
The other side I can tell you they'd like to make a deal.
Addressing reporters from the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump said talks with Iran have been
going well.
Adding the U.S. is dealing with the right people, his words in the Islamic Republic.
Trump said Iran has agreed not to pursue a nuclear weapon.
Adding that Iran has also offered a significant gift to the United States during the talks.
Trump said it was related to oil and gas, but he wouldn't reveal what it was.
Iran continues to say no such talks are taking place.
Qatar has been the lead in previous peace talks in the region and a spokesperson for their
foreign ministry had this to say.
Our views about any talks if they exist are consistent with our very principled position
that all conflicts will end on the negotiation table and we support all of these efforts.

The NTSB is announcing early analysis of the cockpit and flight data recorders in that
deadly plane crash Sunday night at New York's LaGuardia airport in New York, Sarah Lee Kessler.
The NTSB said Tuesday the final seconds of the air Canada flight show the control tower
gave the fire truck that was hit the go ahead across the runway as the plane was landing.
At 20 seconds, the tower cleared truck one and company to cross runway four at Taxiway
Delta.
Investigator Doug Brazy, NTSB chair Jennifer Hammondy said air traffic control staffing
that night needs to be verified.
We have seen different information about how many certified professional controllers were
in the facility.
Runway four in adjacent taxiways remain closed at LaGuardia until Friday morning at the
earliest.

Delta Airlines is suspending its special congressional desk service for lawmakers, more
from Matt Matinson.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Delta will suspend the service which provided
dedicated flight assistance to members of Congress, including allowing them to skip the
line at security checkpoints.
The change comes days after the Senate unanimously approved a proposal to end the preferential
treatment lawmakers receive.
It also comes as the backlog at airports nationwide have worsened in recent days as
TSA employees go without pay due to the ongoing partial government shutdown.
Easter is right around the corner and that means it's time for marshmallow peeps or
