16 cities including San Francisco, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas made the list.
But that's down from 18 in 2025.
Researchers with the London-based Institute for Quality of Life released its list of
the 251 happiest cities in the world, factors such as inclusive policies, housing affordability,
government transparency and environmental impact were all considered when researchers
compiled the list.

William Shatner says he would love to see the new Star Trek series continue.
Captain Kirk weighed in on the cancellation of Star Trek Starfleet Academy with a reflection
on the franchise's history and cultural impact.
Shatner wrote it a post on social media and not a lot seems to have changed.
While observing public response to some of Star Trek's taboo content, he even asserted
that based on today's vernacular, the franchise would probably be called, quote,
woke DEI crap because it went against the norms of society for its time, end quote.
Shatner expressed sorrow over the series' termination and says he believes Star Trek should
exist for a long time.
