Hi, this is Doug Hewitt Mills. I'm glad you've joined me today. I believe this message will stir up your faith, strengthen you, and inspire you to serve him with zeal. Wherever you are, open your spirit. God is about to speak to you. Now, we are now moving on to the mantle of Samuel. The mantle of Samuel. First Samuel chapter 15 and verse 11. And the one of the Lord came to Samuel saying, we're spoken of the mantle of zeal. Now we are on the mantle of Samuel. And we are keeping going till we get to the perfect mantle.
It repented me that I have set up Saul to be king for he is 10 back from following me. And as not performed my commandments and it grieved Samuel and he cried unto the Lord all night. Amen. Now, you know, God said that it grieved me that I have been in the mantle. It repented me that I have set up Saul to be a king or I regret setting up Saul to be a king. Now, many of us are pointed as pastes. You must not become someone that we regret.
And we regret appointing. And so I want you to know that if God regrets, how much more we as human beings when we are appointing people, can we not also regret? Yes. So if God seems to have even made a mistake, which he didn't, but if God could have made a mistake, how much more us? Yes. And so when you are appointed or chosen, try hard not to be a disappointment. Yes. Because Samuel was a disappointment. All right, Saul was a complete disappointment to the Lord. So he said it repented me. All right, that I have appointed you. Now, when Samuel rose up to meet Saul in the morning, it was two Samuel saying, Saul came to come out and behold, he set
him at place and he's gone about and passed on and gone down to Gilgal. And Samuel said to Saul and Saul said unto him, someone came to Saul and Saul said to him, blessed be thou of the Lord. I have performed the commandment of the Lord. Okay. And Samuel said, what meaner than this bleeding of the ship in mine ears and the looing of the oxen which I hear? Now, is it the main thing about Saul is the stubbornness and not seeing the issue. I got told him, go kill everybody, every animal, nothing. I don't want anything from the amalekites. All right. I don't want to have anything to do with them. Nothing at all. No meetings, no interaction, nothing. There are times where we don't want anything anymore, any interaction,
any wisdom, Churchill was approached to have a meeting with Hitler when they were having the and Hitler refused to meet Churchill. No, I will not talk to him ever. He never spoke to him. I will not. So there are times where there's no interaction. I told God, doesn't want it. Do you see? And this is one of the examples. I don't want amalekite. I don't want it in my meeting. I don't want it to be here. I don't want any discussion, nothing. Sambalat and Tobiah to the same. When they were building the war, Sambalat and Tobiah called for a meeting and they said, I will not meet. He didn't meet them. So there are people and times where we don't have meetings again at all. Yes, no meeting. Yes. I will just show you that quickly in Nehemiah. Yes. Quickly in verse chapter 6. Now it came to pass when Sambalat and Tobiah
and Gashem the Arabian. All right. And the rest of our enemies had that I built the wall and that there was no bridge left. Do at that time I had not yet done the doors on the here. Not yet built the wall but not the gates. The next verse. Then Sambalat and Gashem sent to me saying, come and let us meet together in someone of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. Verse 3. And I said, Mercedes, I just said, I am doing a great work. I cannot come. Why should the work cease? Why I leave it and come down to you? Yes. Yet they sent to me four times after this asking for negotiation settlement. Yes. Four times asking for discussions and meetings. I want you
to tell you that there are times when meetings are over. No more meetings, no more discussions, no more negotiations, no more settlements. And they sent to me four times after this short and I answered them after the same manner. Then Sambalat, his seven and to me in like manner the fifth time, this time with an open letter in his hand. Weren was written, it is reported among the heathen that down in the juice thing to rebel. He was using, he said, you are rebelling against the king which was not the case. So he was using lies and so on to get a meeting blackmail. But I just read this to you to show you that there is a time where no more meetings finished, no more discussions. So, Saul was somebody who doesn't listen to things. He doesn't understand anything. You speak
there's evidence and there was sheep bleeding and animals all over the place. You say, you are for a bed. What does this mean? If you're for a bed, what about this? I pray that, listen, put you on your head. Whatever represents the bonus of Saul, let it go out of our heads and our life. Let the never be a meeting where there is even evidence, but we are arguing. We are arguing. We are arguing about something. Deliver us from evil Lord in Jesus name. Amen. Now, someone said, what does the meaning of this bleeding mean? And then Saul said, they have brought them from the amalachite for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen to sacrifice unto the Lord. The rest we have utterly destroyed. And someone said unto Saul, stay and I will tell you what the Lord has said to me tonight. And Saul, and someone said,
when that was little in their own sight, was the Lord not made the head of the tribes of Israel and the Lord anointed the king of Israel? When that was little in their own sight, when you were small in your own sight, you get it. You see, this is the thing. When you grow, especially those of you who have been in church for some years, you see, this one doesn't apply to the newcomers. This doesn't apply to the young children. It applies to those who have been around or been in the church for 15 years. I joined the church in 2004, I've been in the church since 1999. I've been here for 18 years. Do you know when I came, the church was four lighthouses at that time.
You get it? I'm from Caligone. I'm from the canteen. So you got to be careful. When you were little in your own sight, you know, I'll tell you something, God has a use for young and old. When you are young, you can give yourself to lusts and wretchedness and become a wretched person. Or you can give yourself to serving the Lord with great passion. When you are old, you can also serve the Lord with great wisdom and experience. But right on the other hand, you can give yourself to pride, bigness, big manism and this type of thinking. And then you become useless. So old people can become useless in the church. And
young people can also become useless in the church. It is two sides of the road again, two sides, two ditches, two goddesses on either side of the road. Either the old people become proud and big. I can't call them. I was talking to one person and he said, I want him to do this. I said, what you told me to do the last time. That's what I'm doing and that thing is good. And I told him, I said, I don't think you understand. And I explained it to him again. He said, no, I'll do it. And he said, I will not do it. This is what you said the last time. It's what I'm doing. And that's what I want to do. So I said to him, I said to him, I said to him, you know, I said, you know some years ago you never say something like this. You never on this earth. You never say anything like that. Yeah. But he said, no, no, no. Some months later he came repent and said, I'm so sorry for
whatever. But he said, I was surprised. You can't, you know, talk like this. Sometime ago. So that's what the Bible says. That when that was little in their own eyes. Yeah. Some of you sometime ago we could transfer you. And I hope we bring the transfer. You say, that's where transfer. Don't use the word transfer in my life. Don't use the word missionary. But our church is a church of missions. And we are going to send missionaries. We are always sending missionaries. And more missionaries are going to come from America than ever before. Amen. Can I have an amen? You know, we just went to an island. I've never seen such a place
before. And those are some of the places that many people are going to go to. To the islands, preaching and teaching. Amen. So he said, when that was little in their own eyes, that was made, was that one made the head of the tribes. The Lord had noted the king. And the Lord sent the on a journey and said, go. You see, God sends you when you are little. But when you become big, you become unsendable. You become an ancient of days. You become a rock of ages. No one can move this rock. As you never, are you a rock of ages? When you were little, I sent you. All right. Now where for then did I not obey the voice of the Lord, but did fly upon the
spoil? Money is the root of all evil. The spoil is the money. And did evil in the sight of the Lord? Ah, you know, in the church, money is always at the root of conflict. Any conflict, there's money at the root of it. So in acts, the beginning of acts, you remember, right at the beginning, in Acts chapter 6. By the time the Holy Spirit was moving, the next trouble was in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied. Do you see, then there was a big crisis and memory, this loyalty of the grations against the Hebrews because of their widows who were neglected in the daily ministrations, like we are not getting enough salary provisions and other things.
Are you listening to me? And the same thing in Nehemiah, when he was building the wall, in Nehemiah chapter 5, after he has built the wall and was just left with the gates, the Bible says in Nehemiah chapter 5 verse 1, there was a great cry. Nehemiah goes up to like chapter 12. By chapter 5, there was a big crisis of approvations, a cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren, the Jews. Why? About money. For that weather said we are our sons and daughters are meaning therefore take up coal for them and eat and live. Issue to do with money. That is why lay ministry, AOSS self-supporting ministry that we have in the church is something that we have, that cuts out money issues with us. And that also cuts us. As I've come here, most of you are
lay people, none of you is angry with me about anything. I have not increased your salary, I have not decreased your salary, nothing like that. But from Nehemiah, yeah, you are just happy to see me, but from Nehemiah, Nehemiah in the Old Testament, when they were building and in acts, when they were starting the church, it always comes up. How much are you got? You got enough corn on our windows, we don't have money, we don't have this. What have you got so much more than hours? Your car is bigger than my car, your house is nicer than my house, your children go to school here, you have corn more, corn up? How those things? Yes. I don't need that. And that is why self-supporting missions is one of the wisdom that we have in the church. Back to the story of Fessamwell. And then, wherefore did they not obey the voice of the Lord, but did fly upon the spoil? See,
money spoiled salt's ministry and did evil in the side of the Lord. And salted unto Samwell, yeah, I have obeyed. Still stop only you, still not changed your mind. I have obeyed. I have obeyed the voice of the Lord. I've gone the way with the Lord sent me. I brought, I got the king of Amalek and I've utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took up the spoil, sheep and oxen, and Sammels said, has the Lord as great delight in bent offerings and sacrifice as in obeying the voice of the Lord, behold, to obey is better than to sacrifice and to hacken down the fat of Rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity. So he was telling him, you are stubborn, you are like a wizard, a witch, you are full of iniquity and you are full of idolatry and you are rejected the word of the Lord. And Sammels said unto Saul said unto Samwell, I have sinned for I have transgressed. Now you are saying that you've sinned.
After all this long explanation, because I fear. Now therefore I pray thee, pardon my sin and tell you again with me that I may worship the Lord. And Sammels said to Saul, I would not return with thee, for thou has rejected the word of the Lord and the Lord has rejected thee from being king over Israel. No more meetings. And not Sammels said about to go, he laid hold upon the sketch of his mantle, the mantle of Samwell. He held the mantle of Samwell and it ranked. It got torn. Are you there? It ranked. Wow. And Sammels said unto him, the Lord had ranked the kingdom from thee this day and has given it to a nibba of dine that is better than thou.
And also the strength of Israel will not lie nor repent for his not a man that he should repent. Then he said, I have sinned yet on my now. I pray thee before the elders of my people and before Israel, turn again that I may worship the Lord. And Sammels turned again after Saul and worshiped the Lord. Amen. Are you there? Now this is the mantle of Samwell and it represents the kingdom that God has given to you in the ministry. A mantle can represent the kingdom. So when he tore it, he said God has torn the kingdom. When he tore it, he said God has torn the kingdom. Now the kingdom speaks of the nation and the country and the countries or nations that God has
given you an anointing for. You get it. God has given an anointing for places. So when he tore the mantle, he said God has torn the kingdom from you. God has taken the kingdom from you. This whole country are giving you the country but I'm no more giving you this country. All right. Now many of us, there are people here, there is a new and mantle for a nation, for a kingdom. Can you imagine maybe the mantle for Argentina is on you and you are in America? Yes. You wonder what you are doing here.
You see the mantle that Samwell was wearing represented the kingdom. That is why when he rented or when he tore it, he said the kingdom is torn from you because the mantle was the kingdom, the whole country. Rana Gunky saw a vision of Africa. In the vision, he saw a map. Then he saw blood flowing from the west towards the east like this. So the red covered from the left and moved to the right until the whole map of Africa was covered with red. And truly God gave him the kingdom of Africa. And his ministry was in that realm. One time recently I was praying about something and the
Lord said to me, remember that Bunky ministered in Africa. Yes. And I was discussing with the Lord about setting fruits that I was seeking from him. And then he said to me, remember that he did it in Africa. I don't know what that, I will not tell you what that means but it has a meaning. It has a meaning. You see there are, when you have a mantle for a place and that place is for you in the realm of the spirit. And so there are many of us, God is giving you a mantle. There are some of you that I see a mantle is like a small hankerchief that is placed on your life. And it's because God is giving you certain people, certain people, certain nations, certain groups, certain kingdoms.
And that mantle represents those places. Now some of you are thinking when I grow up, God will give me such a vision. But I want to tell you, most of the time, the visions that I've heard of, you see, it comes when you are young. You see how many I've had a dream, a very significant dream and you can't remember it. Raise your hand. Raise your hand. Yeah. No, one of the things is that when you walk in this air, just a little, because your feet are on the ground, you start to pick the dust and the death of this world and the distractions. And it makes the spiritual graces begin to fade.
Yes. So the younger you are or the earlier in the morning or in the night, when the spirit speaks to you is usually what is true and real. But as time goes on, as you walk, you know, you walk in on F, your feet will be dirty, your life will be affected by the things that are in this world. And the beautiful visions that God gives you, what He wants you to do with your life and so on, they get clouded out by the many things that are in this world. And this is not strange. Everybody here has had a dream. You can't remember. Last night I had a dream. You know, I was sitting in my bed and then I had a dream, was I was sitting, you know. You should try sitting to sleep.
I don't really know why you are laughing. When I visited John Wesley's house in England, they took us to his bedroom. And in his bedroom was like a bed that was like a chair. And they said that he sat to sleep. Yes, John Wesley sat to sleep. So in those days, because of the weather and chest problems, they sat to sleep. So you should try it sometimes. Yeah. So I had a dream, a very significant dream. Yes. And God told me, take dreams and visions seriously. Be a man of visions and dreams. And I was feeling so lazy to get out and ride it down. And I said, no, if I don't ride it, I will not remember. So I got up to ride it. Because when the day goes by, a little time passes. What great thing God gave to you. It will become like something so vague and so
lost. You get it? Yes, on you. So many of you, you are having a mantle. A mantle. It's true. Joseph was a little boy when he had the visions and dreams that he was going to do something great in a nation. But he had been given Egypt. You see? And so there are some of us here. You have been given a country, a kingdom. And that's why when the mantle was taken from somewhere. And I need the toy. It told some of the children, your kingdom is gone. This thing that has happened is not an accident. Yes. Because when you are spiritual, you realize that some things are not as coincidental as you think. You know, I'll just tell you a quick story, but it's not part of the,
I don't know what I should. Yeah. Yeah. Sit down. I'm talking about the tearing of the mantle. You see, I was telling the Vanishing Shine Cup medium. Yeah, that, that, when Moses was a baby, one time. You know, he was sitting in the palace. He was about three years old. He was sitting in the palace. And as he was sitting in the palace, the people, important people in the court were there. Give me more volume on the thing so that people at the back can hear me. Okay, they can, they're more speakers, just increase a bit. Now, as he was sitting there, what's this man's name, this week he, the guy, Balam, Balam was there. His sons were there. You remember his sons were
these Janice and Jambres, Magicians, yes. And others, they were all in the court. And Moses' daughter was there. And Moses was there. Moses was a baby. Everybody knew that Moses was not a child, because she had never been pregnant with him before. They got him from the river. We brought him to the house. And it was known that he's a Hebrew child. So as he was there and she was nesting the child and all that, suddenly the baby stretched out his hand and took the crown of Pharaoh and put it on his head. Yeah. You see, and like I'm explaining that when you are prophetic, there are certain things that have a meaning. Yes, one lady was telling me one time she was bathing,
right? And her ring, her wedding ring came off and fell down and went down the drain. Yes. I'll not tell you what I told her. Sit down. Now, when Moses took the crown, everybody was standing in the palace. All the people they called the children, Pharaoh's daughters, this and Balam. So they called Balam, ask him that what does he think? What is it? The child do this in innocence or is it something? Does he mean something? Everybody was standing. No one had ever taken something like this, but take Pharaoh's
kind of put it on your head. So even though it was only three years old, they were not happy with it. So Balam stood up and gave advice. I said, listen, this is a child. You see, they also had a dream, somebody had also had a dream before and told Pharaoh that there was a child who was put, it was a dream. They saw a balance and the balances on one side were all the wise men and all the counselors and all the leaders and all the governors of Egypt were on one side of the balance. And then a baby was put on the other balance and the baby was heavier than all the children. So please sit down, please. So everybody was worried. So when Balam stood up, that's why
Moses didn't like Balam at all. They had an ancient conflict. The Balam advice said that this not a ordinary child. This is for Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, these are the walls, they did this child. It's not something you have to take lightly. They should kill the child now and spill his blood today. It stood up and it gave strong advice. But you see, the daughter was there and that was her baby. So Moses and Pharaoh decided to call Adam wise men. So another set of wise men were brought in. When the other wise men brought in, I'm talking about the mantle, that the terming of the mantle, it had a meaning. So when the other wise men came in, the other wise men came in, they asked them, what do they think? And the Babel's, whatever, said that the Lord sent an angel in the midst of
the wise men. So one of the wise men was an angel. Yeah, you know, the other day the Lord said to me, the Lord said to me that an angel is a man. It's an invisible man. Yes, an angel is an invisible man. Yeah, that's what the Babel said, be careful to entertain strangers because an angel is a man. Yeah, a lot of men are angels. And especially if you are moving with one day, they are there with you. That is an invisible man that is there. So the Lord sent an invisible man, but this one was busy. He joined them so they didn't know who he was. So the consciousness was speaking that this man spoke and said that they should do a test. How many want to know the test? They said, those are the back and all here. I think those are the back and all here. Hello, are you there? Nice time to sit at the back. I don't know why you are the back. There are some small spaces in the house here. You can squeeze someone outside too. Oh, you can sit on the stage, please. Sit on the stage. Don't cause troubles here.
Come sit down. Don't cause trouble. Live a loud space to the case I come up. You want to stay in this? Not on this test? They can sit on this test. Why not? Of course. Now, are you listening to me? Now, should I continue my story about Moses? So now when the man came, please sit down quickly, quickly, quickly. When the man came, all right? Okay. When the advisor came, when the advisor came, he said they should get an onyx stone. Do you
know what an onyx stone is? If you ever go to buy a ring and you see a black ring, the black one usually is onyx. The onyx stone is black. So they said they should take an onyx stone and a coal of fire, coal and put it there, the tube, because the onyx is black and the coal is black. And they should see which one the child will pick. Yes. And through that, they will know whether he's just a child or he's doing it, uh, prophetically. So they brought the onyx stone and the coal of fire and Moses, they were all watching to see what he would do. And the baby Moses, three years old, picked the onyx, that picked the coal of fire and put it on his mouth, like how children put things in his mouth. And it bent his mouth and immediately they said, oh, he said, child,
and it is also said that that is why Moses had a problem with his speech. That is why he said, that I want Aaron to speak for me. Yeah. Oh, yes. I don't know whether you are listening to me. So when salt tore some wealth, mantle, as I finished, your kingdom, your ministry, the country I gave you, what a heart is gone from you. All right. So I believe today, you know, I feel that, you know, even though it's a healing Jesus, but we're having a come. You get it. So
sit down, sit down, sit down. So what God is doing is that he's giving you a mantle, a mantle, a mantle. If I had a handkerchief, I would drop it on your head. Yes. And today I am sharing with you about a perfect mantle or the perfect mantle. I'm coming to that. Yes. So whatever God has called and ordained for you to do, may you be raised up to do that. Whatever country, nation, kingdom, he has given you a mantle for. May you operate in that mantle, in the perfect mantle of your life and of your ministry, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Now, keep moving, keep moving. Now, the mantle of Samuel
10 again to first Samuel, chapter 28. This is an interesting one. First, Samuel 28, verse number 11. Verse number one. Yes. Eleven. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. First Samuel, chapter 28, verse number 11. Now, let's read from verse 8 of verse 7. Then Saul said to his seven sick, me, a woman that has a familiar spirit. Galaba, shaltaba, laba, that I may go to her and inquire of her.
She said, what is a familiar spirit? A familiar spirit is a spirit that knows you. It's familiar with your weaknesses. It's familiar with your desires. It's familiar with your needs. It's a spirit that understands you. understands you, has studied you and knows the issues that are surrounding your case. Yes. Yes. That's a familiar spirit. That's why it's called familiar. Sick, a woman like that. Galaba, shaltaba. And Saul disguised himself in some of the settings. There is a woman that has a familiar spirit at end all. And Saul disguised himself and put on other remains. And they came to the woman by night. And he said, I pray the divine unto me the familiar spirit and bring him up whom I shall name.
And the woman said, we hold, down, know us, what Saul has done, and how he has cut off those that have familiar spirit and the wizards out of the land. Wherefore, then, lay us down a snare for my life to cause me to die. Is he many pastest backslides? What they wouldn't do before. At a certain stage, you see, they are doing it. In the days when Saul was young, he killed all people with familiar spirit and wizards. But later, when he was completely backslidden, you see, he was not doing something that he would never have done when he was a young person. It was now going to a familiar spirit to find out certain things. Now, Saul sweared by the Lord saying, as the Lord, there shall be no punishment for the verse 11. Then the woman said, whom shall I bring up? And she said, bring up somewhere. Because you see, even though you are somewhere, you know that somewhere has been good to you.
Yes. Then when the woman saw someone, she cried with a voice and the woman spoke to Saul saying, why has Dow deceived me for Dow at Saul? And the king said unto her, be not afraid for what saw as Dow. And the woman said unto Saul, I saw God ascending out of the earth. And he said unto her, what for is he? And she said, an old man come up and he is covered with a mantle. So, you see a mantle, an old man, covered with a mantle, is he in the realm of the spirit? In the realm of the spirit. An unloyted person is someone who is covered with a mantle. I remember my friend in South Africa. He said that when the a man started a church and the man handed the church over to him in South Africa.
And on the day when this man who ascended the church, a small church, with a small church started the church, he said, he prayed for him. And he said, he felt like a blanket had been put over his shoulders on that morning. Yes. And that was the beginning. It was a small little something, but it grew to be a mega church in South Africa. Yeah, yeah. And I always remember that story that he told about the day that the mission was leaving the country. He had come to South Africa, started as a missionary, left a small church, a hundred over to just give it to him. I say, young person, he gave him. But he said he felt a blanket being put over him. Receive your blanket. Receive your mantle. Receive it to do the work of the Lord. Amen. He is covered with a mantle.
And someone said to Saul, why has thou disquieted me to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am so distressed for the Philistines make war against me. And God is departed from me. And answereth me no more. Neither by prophets, nor by dreams. Therefore, have I called thee that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. You see, this is how some backs leading people are. I know you are my pastor. I know I went away from you, but you are my pastor. Tell me what to do. I'm used to you telling me what to do. Then said some well. Wherefore, then does thou ask of me? Seeing the Lord is departed from thee and is become blind enemy. And the Lord had done to him as he speak by me for the Lord had to rent the kingdom out of my hand and given it to thy neighbor,
even to David. Because thou obeys not the voice of the Lord, neither executed his fears wrath upon Amalek. Therefore has the Lord done this, amen. Now, are you there? Yes. So you see here the mantle of their old man is the mantle of a prophet. Now, this mantle continues to work after the death of their old man. So even after the death of Saul, his mantle was working. Yes. After the death of Samuel, his mantle was working, working, working after his death. So this shows you about mantles.
And that is why there are people that are still speaking today after the most of the people that I watch on the video are dead. Almost everyone that I watch is dead, but they are speaking. Almost everybody that I watch is dead. I hardly have anybody who is alive who I watch. Yes, the mantles are still active and even after the death of the person. Because that's why it's the same reason why a message that was preached 10 years ago can change your life when you are watching the video. It is as though it is happening now. It is because it is the mantle that is at work. It's the time doesn't matter. It's like the words of Jesus.
They are timeless words. It doesn't matter about the time of yesterday. It was 2000 years ago. It was 2000 years ago. It's this power in the words. And the mantle still works. I know that when I'm gone, there are people that will be listening to my messages long after. It will be working. That's how mantles are because it is the mantle. So it describes the man who is an old man, carpet with a mantle. If God opens your eyes in the realm of the Spirit, you will see the mantles that are there and that are covering the people. And that is why when you strike an old man who is saving the Lord, you strike the mantle.
And when you strike the mantle, you touch the anointing. When you touch the anointing, you touch something will bring difficulty. It's difficult to kick against the pricks. So you'll find that hardly would you ever find anybody who ever criticizes or attacks. God's ever who will do well. Never is difficult because you have made God your enemy. Yes, it's made God your enemy. Sit down. Thank you for being part of today's message. May this word you've received bring real change and lasting fruit in your life.
