There's been talk of this sort of thing with movies and does or do they affect real life

can they actually cause things to happen in your home this or that?

I'm curious.

I'm curious to hear what the setting was for this incident and kind of go from there.

Let's jump right into the letter.

It says I was listening to your Annabelle episode and it reminded me of a creepy incident

that happened a few months back and several other incidents that have happened at this

place, just otherwise known as my family home.

I'll tell them as short and to the point as possible and hopefully at the end you can

tell me what you guys think.

The first story pertains to Annabelle.

One night I was up past midnight watching an Annabelle prank on Facebook that I was tagged

and in the video the producers of the movie set up a prank where they set up a room with

Hollywood special effects to simulate a demon haunting.

At the end they have Annabelle popping out of a cabinet in the room as a special effect

to tie into the prank.

I'm watching this in bed and mind you I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to watching this

kind of stuff so I had the lights on throughout the upstairs.

As the video is coming to an end I say aloud this is so stupid they're falling for this

or something to that effect.

Within just a few seconds the chain reaction like effect the lights turn off and order

from the bathroom to the elbow to the side lamp on my bedside table and finally the TV.

After a few seconds the TV turned on and everything else did as well in the same order as they

had turned off immediately I closed the video.

We raced my history and set a prayer getting goosebumps telling this struck me as weird

that number one it was a clear night and my home does not usually lose power and to the

light shut off in specific order and back on in the same order towards the bathroom instead

they did not go out all together what usually happens during a power outage I was warned

by an ex in the past to refuse to watch movies involving demons because she believed

that by watching those sorts of things you're acknowledging and inviting those sort of

things into your life.

The house has also had different things happen and as well my first experience was when

I was in high school and my best friend and I were in the game room I was pulling his

leg and told him that they that my home was haunted he didn't believe me after telling

him a few of my fabricated stories so finally I said I'd prove it you looked at me with

a look of curiosity and said if you're here turn the lights off all of a sudden the overhead

lamp lights turned off I could see his jaw drop and I could feel mine doing the same

we stood there looking at the fan still spinning at the same speed without slowing down after

what felt like forever I said if you turned off the lights then turn them on and prove

you're real as I finish the last syllable of my sentence the lights turn back my friend

shot out of the room like a bat out of hell before I made it out of the house he was already

down the street driving away. I called him mad because he took off on me and told him to

come back and pick me up because I was not going back into that house until one of my parents

came home after that several other small occurrences happened randomly and I became accustomed

to them fast forward to more recently after my father passed away even stranger things happened

one night she called me while I was working and freaking out and told me the scariest thing

that had happened to her she said as we were getting ready for bed and turning the TV on in

her son room that her dog who's extremely timid had her hair standing up on the back

and whimpering she called her dog's name and her dog immediately shot into the room at that

moment she looked up and noticed a dark shadow in the corner of her room where a tall lamp was lit

there was no way that she saw or could have been the object casting the shadow she saw the next day

she blessed the house had me hang st. Peter charms over each door but holy salt and blessed

every room with a certain prayer the last incident was more recently before I move back out and

after the Annabelle incident she called me one night when I was out of town working before I left

town I would always close my door to prevent her dog from going into my room she called and told me

you won't believe what just happened that day she organized her office upstairs and on her way

down she made sure all the lights are off the doors were closed including mine after spending the

day with my sister and later that evening returning home she watched TV in the sun room as she usually

does as she turned it off to go to bed she could hear voices coming from upstairs breaking

out she immediately grabbed her gun from her room and slowly started walking up the stairs to

investigate halfway up she realized they were coming from my room and the door was closed as she

opened the door she saw that the TV was on and the remote was in the middle of the bed she grabbed

the remote turned off the television why does she walked out of my room and the TV turned back on

she was so creeped out at this point that she turned it back off and went to her room

locked her door called and told me she thinks it might be my father letting her know he's checking

in on her he's given other definite signs she hopes that he stops doing stuff like that because

it's startling however I'm not sure if something else is happening I've been a skeptic even in the

past when I was younger always convincing myself of some rational explanation however since these

events have happened it has become a lot harder to remain a skeptic at least tell me what you think

and thanks for reading my story thoughts on that well number one I think there's a lot of things

that have happened in that house and I don't know how you explain them all you know you could go

that was a coincidence well was that one and that one and that one and that one you know

sure and like I was talking to somebody the other day about like that Annabelle thing

that we were talking about just ghosts and paranormal in general and it was like well the more you

talk about it the more you expose yourself to it the more you're open up to it and the more they're

going to come in I'm like oh great now I'm never gonna sleep but kind of that Annabelle thing

that's weird that you are watching something on Facebook in the minute you said that out loud

boom boom boom boom boom those lights go off yeah not at this time and then they all come back on

at the same order they went off that's really strange because if it's electricity and there was a

power outage you know even a quick one everything goes out at the same time

hmm so coincidence could be but what would cause the lights to do that

that's a good question I mean that's not normally how those sort of things work

you think it'd be a solid yeah everything's out at once and yeah I don't know I mean it's

it's hard to tell and it's hard to know with a situation like that I don't know if I believe

that those things bring things in there what not I think I don't know I think it is just a lot to do

with the energy of what's going on in your own life at that moment in time and I don't know maybe

that's somewhat of a catalyst but and then that other one at the end about hearing voices and so

she got her gun and went upstairs to take you out and the TV was on okay once again like in my house

it could be the cat stepped on the remote which has happened and turned the TV on before

at least that's what I tell myself but in that case so she turned the TV off goes to walk out

then the TV comes back on that's why you have to shoot the TV you shoot the TV and you don't have

that problem anymore yeah you shoot the TV then the voices continue you can still hear the show

even though the TV's all busted out I've had I years ago I had a TV where it was connected to

a sound system in my bedroom and you could turn the TV off and the sound would still play it was

the DVDs that we're playing and I fell asleep one night and I was watching Frazier and I had the

DVDs in there and I woke up in the middle night and there was some sort of scene where they're like

kind of whispering to each other but the TV was off and the room was dark and I thought I heard

people whispering in my house I'm like what the hell is that and I get up and I'm like oh my god

there's somebody in here and then I start to recognize oh my god that sounds like Frazier and

Martin Crane having a come oh it is that's exactly what that is yeah but you were you had to

been terrified like there had to been a few seconds there was like there was my yeah oh my gosh my

heart was beating definitely but that was explainable it was not the demons oh Frazier
