That would require city agencies to post signage,
informing New Yorkers of your legal rights when interacting with federal authorities,
like ICE or DHS.
Ahead of the hearing, the Bill Sponsored Council member Alexa Aviles,
let her rally outside City Hall.
ISIS particularly an agency that likes to lie and pedal and deceit.
And it is really important for people to understand their rights and how to conduct themselves
if they are engaging with ICE.
Aviles says the roughly 40 percent of immigrants who make up New York's population
have the right to do process to remain silent and to not allow ICE
to enter your homeschool or workplace without a judicial warrant.

early this morning.
That was in response to an unspecified threat around 6.45 a.m.
Nassau County Police evacuated the school and sent in a canine unit

After Susan Sarandon will join restaurant workers,
labor advocates and city council member Chi Aase
in a protest outside the Javits Center today.
They're rallying to urge the city council to pass a bill that would require
any restaurant seeking to expand outdoor dining
to pay a full minimum wage on top of tips.
Saru Jarrah Raman, who is the president of One Fair Wage,
says that if restaurants gain more public space for dining,
they should also guarantee stable wages rather than having workers rely on
tips.
Workers are facing the same price increases in the grocery store
and in their lives that employers are facing.
But for them, it is much more acute because for them,
their wages have not gone up while the prices have.
The New York City Hospitality Alliance, who
opposes the measure, released a joint statement with the state's
Restaurant Association and the Latino Restaurant Far and Lounge Association,
saying this bill would raise costs for restaurants,
drive-up menu prices, and could force some small businesses to close.
