I've had a lot of women that have reached out to me about situations of abuse, and I just want to tell you what a lot of people have told me. I've been really late and reminded me because I think I forgot. I knew, but I pushed it in the back of my head

2:32just because of my situation. But you are the bride of Christ. Before anybody else is bride, male or female doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what gender you are, abuse is abuse. And you are the bride of Christ. And my Bible says that he took all the abuse you could think of for you so that you didn't have to live that life of slavery and bondage and pain. Jesus took it all for you. So you don't have to stay in a abuse relationship. Whether that's sexual, whether that's somebody forcing you to take illegal drugs or alcohol abuse or physical abuse, psychological abuse, making you think that this is all your fault or your bad mom or your

3:37bad wife or your bad husband or your not giving it. You're all when you know you are. God hates divorce, but why? According to everybody I've asked and the scriptures that I've found is because it hurts people, but does abuse hurt people? How do you think God feels about that? So I want to remind you like a bunch of people have been reminding me lately that I'm God's pride first. And even an earthly spouse who's a good spouse when they know that their bride is being hurt, just imagine what an earthly spouse does. When he can cure heavenly spouse does. When you're the bride of Christ and he sees his bride going to abuse and hurt what you think he thinks about that.

4:40So encouragement in all this is you are the bride of Christ first before anybody else's and he's got you and he sees you and he loves you. That leads us to chapter 11, 2024. This is when Micah reports to the local police that a razor blade had been used on her tire or tires depending on which online article you read and said that she believed people were following her and or watching her. And she also stated in this that she believed that she knew who had slashed her tires. And for my understanding this was not the first time that

5:44such an act occurred. And that name that she was suspicious of was redacted from the police report when when it made its way to the public. But I would bet it's not too difficult for our listeners to guess who whose name that that was redacted from that report. Well, the other thing that she did, which I think is smart. And if somebody is stalking you or abusing you by telling other people, that's a way to document this. So the tires being slashed or razor blades found in her tire. She is telling family members. And then when they find the GPS tracking device on her car. And my problem is when law enforcement they don't do anything and I understand the concept of all while they're married. Well, has she seen a lawyer? Has she filed for a divorce? Is she living with the individual? If not, this is a person that's trying to sever this relationship. Well, in back to her being

6:46hospitalized for that mental health in February of 2024. As it stated in the documentary, they say, well, the nurse is there. It took days to sort this out, but they figured out, oh, this is a marital issue. This is not a mental health issue. Right. And again, these things take time to sort out for people that don't know these individuals, right? And don't live in their lives and run in their circles. And I think part of the problem for some of the police involvement is that while later it was proven that tracking devices were put on her car from time to time, I don't think that in the moment when she's filing these reports, did it could be proven at one point they did have a device that they showed the police. Here's a device. And when they talked to the husband, he's saying, well, she's had mental issues. So I wasn't tracking her. I was tracking her for her safety.

7:48Right. And it's, but again, on some level, the cops have to say she's trying to sever this relationship. She's not any of your concern anymore, buddy. And it sucks in these situations where she's failed by a man, John Paul, she's failed by her husband. I believe he groomed her and he failed her as a man. But then she's failed by other men. And also, there's probably female cops as well. But it's like we also know in the true crime world, what are some of the most dangerous times is when somebody stands up to their abuser. And even if there's no abuse, you know, documented abuse, anytime there's a severing of a relationship, friendwise, sexual partner, husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend, these can be dangerous times because people can become dangerous even if

8:50they're not during the relationship. And I think there's evidence that this guy was dangerous during the relationship. So guess what? He's going to be more dangerous when somebody's trying to sever that relationship. And these are such complicated situations here. And it's you get men and women who will say, you know what, if I call the police, if I file this report, it's only going to anger them more. It's only going to put me more at risk. And I know this difficult to do this in the moment. But the paper trail is key. You got to create that paper trail. And it may increase your level of safety. It also may create increased your level of risk as well. Yeah. If it were me, I would create a paper trail. Micah's trying to do this here in this moment. And look, and to people that try to control somebody else and try to treat somebody like this, I say step lightly here because it can blow up in your face. If you want an example, just

9:58type Betty Brodrick into a search engine and read that story. It could come back to the haunch if you keep poking the bear time and time again. Well, we've seen so many cases where these women or men that build a paper trail and then they are murdered or it's a suspicious death. And you kind of feel like, man, all signs are pointing towards this individual. You know, there's one that I can think of off the top of my head where you go, well, that's some of the bitch. That away with murder. And she knew it was coming. This leads us Captain to April 15th. As we said earlier, this is April 15th, 2024 when Micah once again files for separation for this will be the final time on April 25th, 2024. John Paul Miller was served with separation papers,

11:00notifying him of a hearing scheduled for June 5th, 2024. And let's let's not go and discuss this too much. But I thought one of the highlights in the docu series was when John Paul Miller calls Micah's lawyer. Yeah. If you don't watch it for any other reason, watch it for that moment. I just that part was great. Yeah. I applaud her so much. And I think look, it's different for everybody. But I've made the statement before we were raised by a strong tough mother. Never been afraid of a powerful woman. I something that I deeply respect about that. We were raised by wolves. No, hey, you just gave a statement. I'll give a statement. John Paul Miller, if you ever, ever get

12:00up on stage and play a Billy Joel song again, I will hunt you down and whoop your ass. You rip your arms off and beat you out of the bed. You keep Billy Joel out of your sermons. You keep Billy Joel out of your life. He deserves much better. No, I just love it. If if you can find this scene, it's worth watching and what a champion for for Micah. So John Paul is notified that the hearing will be scheduled for June 5th, 2024, April 27th, two days later, after he served with separation papers, Micah leaves her residence. Now keep in mind, she's not living with him. She's she's staying with a friend and an apartment and she has told her friend, hey, we should get a doorbell camera because he might show up here like there like she knows there's going to be activity that we don't

13:00want. So let's continue to document this. And so some of the footage you see is of people coming and going with that simply safe camera. Well, I think also you have John Paul trying to contact her. She's worried about, hey, I got a new job, but he's he going to show up there. He's trying to contact her with his phone with with other people's phone. And then when that's not working, he's having friends of his try to contact her. The while this is all going on, he's giving sermons and telling people, hey, you know, my wife, well, she's not here. You know, she left and but it's okay. Pray for her because she's mentally ill. He's trying to paint this picture that she's mentally unstable. He's an illusionist. He gets to stand up on that stage and front of dozens if not a couple hundred people and say whatever he wants and say whatever he wants week after week.

14:04So on April 27, 2024, Micah leaves her residence again, not living with him. This is at 11.30 AM. She travels north a short distance and is seen on camera purchasing a firearm and ammunition. This is at 12.12 PM. She continues to drive north, stopping to gas up the car. And then later, you heard that you heard this in the trailer. She calls 911 at 2.54 PM and asking if they can track her phone so her family can find her body. Yeah. She tells the operator that she's going to commit suicide. Here's the thing. They've ruled this a suicide. The investigation has taken place. They've ruled it a suicide. It wasn't an accident they're saying and they're not finding anybody else as having pulled the trigger here. There are a lot of people that especially early on

15:12before his rock solid alibi came about that were insistent that John Paul Miller killed Micah. And a lot of people would refer to that statement that her sister says Micah allegedly had told her. If you find me with a bullet in my head, John Paul did it. Yeah. There's a lot. Here's the thing. I don't think you can look at this and it's so cut and dried. I'm not saying that the police investigation is wrong or the death investigation is wrong. What I'm saying is there's some there's a lot of questionable movements and actions here. When she's buying the firearm, I found it very strange her demeanor. She seems to smile at the clerk when leaving. This was one of those moments that you seven day wait period. Where's the wait period? Because people don't always buy guns to harm someone right. So she's found dead at lumber river state park in North Carolina. So she drove from

16:17South Carolina up to North Carolina. And as the investigation states, she then takes her life in this state park. Her bodies recovered in the water. There's two. Stop me when I if I get any of this wrong here, Captain. There are two spent casings and one live round that are found. But her body according to the docu series is about a hundred feet in the water away from where those casings are found. Yeah, which doesn't make a lot of sense. Doesn't make a lot of sense. The other thing that doesn't make a whole lot of sense is this lumber river state park. Everybody that interviewed said she's never been there. It's a place that no one has any idea of why she would go there. It's not a place that anybody believed that she had any previous awareness of. So the look, and clearly if she did take her own life, she's probably not thinking very clearly in the moment.

17:21Okay, so we have to look at it through that lens also. But it seems very odd to me to go to a place that's so remote and so out, you know, away from where you live and away from your family. And then call and say, Hey, I want to make sure that they can find me. Yeah, a lot bothers me here. Like you said, her disposition, why she's buying the gun. And again, she's a friendly person. So maybe she's just being friendly and there, there's a little bit of a stoic vibe as she's walking in. But you question, is she buying this gun to harm herself or is she buying this gun for protection? We have a abusive situation. We have a stocking situation. And then she travels far away, which makes little to no sense. Right. You could she could have taken our life anywhere. But then this call to 9-1-1, she seems very against the look about the whole situation. I'm going to kill myself.

18:23Calm, not she's not doesn't sound like she's crying. She doesn't sound very upset. She doesn't sound hysterical. I mean, she sounds very calm to me. Right. And then you have unspent round and then spent rounds and then her body, like you said, is found a hundred feet away. So it makes me question a lot of things. Again, did she buy this gun for protection? So she meeting somebody and just so happens, John Paul is at an event where he's around thousands of people. I think it was one of his kids soccer games, I believe. So that would be establishing an alibi possibly. And then what we also know is that he has friends of his that are involved in some of these allegations of the minor abuse or even possibly transporting minors to him or other

19:25women to him. So how deep are these other friends involved? And so you go, did somebody lure her there or the woman or the women he was having affairs with? Did he use one of them? And in was or or is this a deeper, more complex story? Hey, you're going to go and you're going to buy this gun. Then you're going to call 911 and you're going to state that you're going to kill yourself. And then you're going to come here. And again, either something happens with the there's foul play where there's some kind of extortion. And look, we've seen a lot of individuals that nothing's going on and nothing's wrong going on in their life. They're not in financial trouble. And then they find out that they were talking to somebody online and they exchanged some pictures and the person said, well, I'm going to post it. And it wasn't it had nothing to do with getting

20:29money. They just wanted the person to kill themselves. Sex extortion, right? And so what do we know for a fact that he took when she's in the hospital that he put her in the mental hospital that he put her in and that mental hospital should have said, wait, your husband that is being abusive and cheated on you and blah blah blah. Yeah, we're not we're not taking you to the mental hospital. And like you said, it takes multiple days for them to figure out this is just a marital dispute. And she's not going insane like the husband claims. But during that time, he steals all of her property. And so he and she calls the police and says, hey, he took my phone. He took this and there's nude photos on there. And there's sexual material on there. And so it and what we do have is we actually have footage of them arguing and him stating, oh, guess what? I'm going to take these pictures and put them on the internet. And we also have evidence that he did it. But it was not

21:33under his name is under whatever page he created. I mean, think about how messed up you have to be as a person to go. This person doesn't want to be with me. So I'm going to take and I'm begging them just come back into my life. But I'm going to take sexually explicit material that is not for anybody eyes, but hers. And he post it on the internet. So to me, it's like, is she meeting somebody and she was met with foul play, somebody forced in her hand here or is it because of the consistent abuse, sexual abuse and the controlling nature and the non stopping? He's John Paul was not stopping. Those are your to me, your three outcomes. And so in all those scenarios, to me, he's responsible for the death of Michael.

25:58mica miller's death has been suspicious from the get go even after police officially ruled it a suicide and shared plenty of evidence her family still has questions there was no eyewitness to mica's death that day there was however an ear witness a fisherman who was out on the lake at the time of mica's death and he says he heard mica crying just before the fatal gunshot rang out that fisherman took news nations investigative correspondent rich macu on his boat to the exact spot where mica died and rich joins me now live rich that's sort of been the last piece that a lot of people have been trying to put together in this in the story of of mica's final hours tell me about what the fisherman was able to to tell you about and what his experience was all man actually there's so much here this is a guy that i've been trying to reach since since the beginning of

27:00covering this story uh finally was able to reach him and he agreed to meet me at the state park i said look i'm going to be here all day finally agreed to meet um and he said look i want to clear up uh my name in this like he says he's being dragged into allegations online social media and whatnot but i also wanted to see firsthand like where this took place because there's so many questions about how she got there and and why she was there and it's all just so confusing to somebody who's been reporting on this uh he graciously took us out for about a half an hour and allowed me to interview him he didn't want to use his he didn't want his face on camera or me to name him but he walked through what he what he experienced and we have some of that sound right here i want to let's take a look i heard a cry back you know everybody when came in where i told you i started hearing the crying out then i heard a gunshot i had probably about two minutes or so after i heard started hearing the crying might have been a little bit wrong than that and i heard a gunshot it wasn't a loud gunshot and then the cry and just stopped

28:06right about here that's when i heard the gunshot the gunshot went off from which side over here on to the left that's why i heard the the gunshot there uh-huh that's when the crying stop that looks totally different from when i came in here anyway is it was it low water when when you were here? no it was actually less water than was in here now so that's that's the area i went in through with my boat how do you get in there if you're if you're not in a boat you can't get in there if you what what do you mean how was she in there there's a path that comes in there that's what i told them there was a path that comes in there so you can just pass all in this river and there was a path leading straight to where her belongings belongings were laying at and then how do you how did you come across her stuff her belongings? i just seen it laying up on the bank when i poured up in here yes sir it was laying up on the bank i don't know why i grabbed it i just grabbed it didn't ever lick out of the nothing i got out and i licked around because it was a clear in on

29:07the left and the right and i licked around because i felt like something was wrong but i never seen nothing i took the stuff put it in my boat went back to the landing her driver's license her bank card she had her um keys five hundred dollars a little over five hundred dollars every bit of that money got back there was not a wallet it was a wallet it was a body call i guess a lady's called them fanny packs what do you say to the people accusing you of being a part of this quick trying to be investigators i did not do this there was no way in the world i would harm anybody like that even my worst enemy i would not do nothing like that i was just here fishing i could understand people you know thinking stuff it did look odd but people's going to think stuff i'm even been trying to figure out why happen

30:09you know she does a ledge physical abuse sexual abuse and other abuses by john paul micae did before her passing and while i have not been able to confirm the physical abuse part of it i'm not going to say that i don't think that it didn't happen i've just not been able to confirm i i've not been it it maybe i missed something tell me if you agree with me on this statement though i think there was way more dark things that she told her lawyer and that she told her therapist and we also saw some of the confrontations because they were filmed and i think they left out a tonne as a way to protect mica so i think there's a lot more stuff and i think it's a lot darker then i think there is yeah i agree with you i think there is a lot more stuff

31:12out there but the part of my hesitation with with sitting in the garage today and presenting the story and discussing the story is i've also seen a lot of bad reporting on this story yeah it's a tough and yes and and and so it's difficult to sift through all this and try to make heads or tails of some of it but i feel like we've been able to do that for the most part also going into it knowing like i had said earlier that some of these documentaries are great and some of them not so great and i don't just mean from an entertainment value i mean from an information and factual basis value so for that i tried to consume and digest as much as i could online about this case prior to sitting down so i could go oh wait that's not that you know i want to know when when somebody's presenting me with it with something that's not factual i couldn't

32:14i didn't detect that here with this documentary in fact i actually found some parts that seem to so like for one bit of information here like something that's constantly repeated on the internet is that she had no official diagnosis of any mental health issues that she had no official mental health prescription medications that were issued to her in fact but the the documentary says otherwise the documentary says no there were real doctors that had diagnosed her there are real doctors that prescribed her medication yeah but there's a lot of issues with that though because they're well she might have been bipolar one or bipolar two or maybe even some form of schizophrenia most of these mental health conditions are not something that you go in and have us draw your blood and let's do a blood oh you got bipolar one that's not how it works and when i was in therapy

33:17my therapist said he was very concerned that i go and see a doctor the doctor prescribes me medication and when i told the therapist what medication i was on he's like oh that's not good and i'm freaking out what you mean it's not good the doctor gave me this medication he's like he's treating you for something that would take us a long time to confirm so yes i think it's it's a true and false statement were there things that they thought she had sure but they're also diagnosing her very quickly and these are things that you have to spend a long time and these doctors have to spend a long time with the patients in order to be able to diagnose these mental illnesses correctly true but what i'm saying is that other reporting went out of its way to report other right yeah no you're correct you could you could have just said it's inconclusive or we've not been able to confirm you know it's it's it's like saying

34:22nickones a BMW but he only owned it for one week and then there there's never been any confirmation that he ever drove a BMW you know it's right you're going out of your way to to dispute something that well let me say this though i was told by a listener hey put this case on your radar it was already on my radar because it was all over social media for the last couple of years but i was like oh this documentary is coming out i'm going to put it on the radar i i don't push you often but i was like hey i think we really should dive into this one after doing the research like you said it just leads to more questions it's hard to confirm the information and then even after watching the document even watching the documentaries i'm like this case is very difficult to cover well and part of that the person who unfortunately is in charge that's john paul miller and he's managed to continue this charade and and put forth the

35:30level of appearance and control the narrative about his now deceased wife and about her life and and her family at at that even after her death and that's why i said make sure that i circle back to her obituary so her obituary sounds great right let me read i'll read through it okay mika miller born march 7 1994 died april 27th 2024 aged 30 mika miller 30 aged 30 of mertle beach south carolina passed away on april 27th 2024 she was born in wichita kansas the daughter of michael frances and angelina remeres she survived by her husband pastor john paul miller of mertle beach her stepchildren and it names them her brother and her four sisters and it names them then it goes on to this is the part where we talk about our loved one our deceased friend loved one

36:31their life and who they were and it reads mika was energetic affirming adventurous faithful loving giving forgiving talented joyous creative assertive bold determined authoritative passionate hard working a risk taker and so much more she and john paul have been best friend since 2009 married in 2017 and spent almost every single day and night together mika loved her little dog Loki she loved doing outdoor activities like waterfall repelling hiking skydiving running and going to the beach mika would take on any challenge even if it was being a vegan for an entire year mika was a great stepmother and an amazing wife and help mate she helped pastor john paul with the church in every way mika was the worship leader graphics designer youth leader women's ministry leader and pastors assistant and she did all of this with

37:37the utmost integrity and faithfulness mika made the greatest of efforts to always be the best wife she could be she truly served Jesus and her husband with all of her heart she would praise her husband after every church service telling him he was the best preacher in the world and then it says even if that's not true that's making a joke she also told him he was the funniest preacher in the world even though that wasn't true either making a joke mika loved her family so much she looked forward to every text from her father or brother she sought every opportunity to pour into her sisters there were thousands of nights that she would pray out loud for god to always bless and take care of her family they were constantly on her mind mika wanted more than anything for each member of her family to serve Jesus continually mika loved her ice bath nice car sauna house etc but

38:44more than anything on earth was her desire to see people come to Jesus okay now look there's a lot of glowing and wonderful things said about this glowing and wonderful person mika and i'm sure most of them are true but i read that and i want to hone in just like documentaries do where they show you the complete document and highlight a couple of sentences this is written by john paul miller yeah controlling and because of their legal status as husband and wife was still able to control a lot of the narrative about their marriage her involvement with the church and her life in general even after her death when others are standing up and raising their hands and telling you otherwise well there's so much stuff wrong because again we have law enforcement going okay we have a dead woman we think by gunshot we're not going to just rule it a suicide but what's happening in

39:47the scenes they're talking to family members they're the family members telling them hey she was trying to separate herself from her husband she's severing this relationship he was controlling he was abusive he was mentally abusive sexually abusive verbally abusive every kind of abuse and during that time during that investigation john paul is pushing to get her cremated he is giving parts of her body away to science he is then contacting the individual that she's living with and saying i need to collect all of her items then he contacts the lawyer and says hey i need any documentation that you have that lawyer rightfully so goes hey go after yourself because my client was filing for divorce to be away from you because you're abusive now you want that documentation then he goes and contacts her therapist hey what notes do you have so he's trying to collect any digital evidence of his abuse any diary that's what he was doing on top of

40:54that he's controlling the narrative with everybody that he's around and then when news nation and other people that starts blowing up on the internet what happens he collects more information he calls it his binder of evidence that is not normal actions of an innocent person and like i said i think everything points to either this is some kind of extortion this is some kind of murder or if it is a suicide it is a suicide because of force well like the investigator said in the documentary murder by suicide exactly which is a great term but if you watch this and you don't walk away dislike is probably not the right word well but but what gives me a little bit of hope is this individual is a sick twisted manipulating individual it will always catch up with those people

42:00there's so many allegations against him there's a reason that the feds are looking into them lookie yeah there's a reason why he has a federal court date and let's circle back to that but what i was saying earlier and didn't quite get through is while i can't can i confirm all the i can confirm all the other abuses that were alleged by john paul miller the the physical stuff i'm sure it was there if i had a if i had a wager franklin i would and i bet you i would win but i can't sit here and all honesty and say that i've been able to confirm that what i can say that i've been able to sit here and confirm is that we've done over 900 episodes we've talked about some very strange weird evil people yeah man and women even a couple children if you want to throw them in there but there's a lot of children this dude is one of the strangest people that we've talked about one of to me anyway there's he's very i've never we've discussed some very controlling and

43:06manipulative people this guy it's almost like he wasn't even trying to hide it at some point that he just kept managing to get away with it i don't know was he poisoning the water that was being fed into that church with with with mind control drugs or something because it it what he was preaching would have been a hard sell to me yeah but i guess if you give it in little doses over time after time after time after time and then at some point you can just lay it on thick because that's what he was doing this guy yeah the day after she dies he gives a sermon at the end of the sermon doesn't bring it up until the end he says oh by the way you know my wife you know he acts as if like she's not been a part of the church but oh yeah you know my wife that was leaving me mentally ill you know she she was wacko but yeah she killed herself last night and uh but don't discuss that in the church church you know don't discuss that amongst yourself i mean again these

48:18something with a similar name and it will encapsulate a lot of that in their suspicions in some of his behaviors proven behaviors and to what is not legally recognized as abuse just yet but that that could very well change a lot of a lot of legal stuff and a lot of court dates still are pending with this on January 12th of this year John Paul Miller pled not guilty in federal court and Florence South Carolina where he then received a $100,000 unsecured bond and was ordered to surrender his passport and wear an ankle monitor yeah a pretrial conference was scheduled for this week but his attorneys filed a motion requesting additional time because they were still interviewing witnesses who they said may have exculpatory evidence supporting his defense so where it sits
