The Quiet Room: Guided Meditation for Mental Space & Stillness

Before you settle in, just take a moment to notice all the noise you've been managing

today.

The voices, the alerts, the traffic, and the internal pressure to keep moving.

Now, imagine you are simply stepping into a quiet room and closing the door behind

you.

You don't need a special posture or a perfect environment.

Right where you are, let your eyes soften.

Take a slow breath in.

And as you exhale, feel the volume of the world go down.

On this side of the door, nothing is asking for your attention.

You are officially unavailable to the hustle.

Let your shoulders drop.

Let your jaw hang loose.

Bring your attention to the center of your chest.

Notice that your breath doesn't need a lot of room to move.

It finds its own way, steady and unhurried.

As you inhale, imagine your internal space is expanding.

Get in a complicated way, but like a room getting brighter and more open.

Check in with your forehead and your eyes.

If they are tight, they are holding onto the day's noise.

Let them go slack.

Touching the thoughts in your head are like distant echoes in a large hallway.

They are there, but they aren't touching you.

You are resting in the center of the room where it is perfectly still.

Think of this quiet room as your natural state.

The hustle of the world is something you visit, but this stillness is where you live.

When a thought tries to knock on the door, reminding you of a task or a worry, just notice

the knock and then come back to the physical feeling of your breath.

You don't have to answer the door right now.

You have all the room you need.

You aren't being rushed.

You are simply here in the quiet.
