2:03along for the time being. Anyway, you heard the sad news today about the former lieutenant governor of Virginia, Justin Fairfax. He he was going to be he was a contender. He was going to be a contender. He was the DEI Democrat candidate went to Duke University that he went to law school. I forget where. But he had a he had a great career in front of him until until he came like a like another prosecutor like another Democrat prosecutor by the name of Eric Swalwell. He started having problems with women in hotel rooms. And you know what happened today. He he murdered his wife and then he that he killed himself a murder suicide in Ann and Dale Virginia. Well, his two kids their two kids were in the house. Pitiful sad story. But you know, I just thought I

3:08would mention that there is as they're so often is in these scandals that connection back to Boston because one of the one of the sexual assaults one of the rapes he was accused of occurred here in Boston at the at the 2004 Democrat convention. You know, that's the one where Obama showed up and they and he was a state senator, I think, and he gave him he gave the hotel the front desk clerk his credit card and it was declined because you know, he'd never had a job. But at that same convention where Obama made his his great speech or it got it got great it got great reviews because professional courtesy Democrats taking care of Democrats. Fairfax. I call him Lord Fairfax. You know, you know, you're a

4:09colonial history. Lord Fairfax was a British noblemen and he was one of George Washington's mentors. There's actually I think a community college in Virginia named Lord Fairfax Community College. So I was calling Lord Fairfax. But his name was Justin Fairfax and Justin Fairfax went to the convention and he picked up a a woman who was Vanessa Tyson. She's now a college professor, I guess. And so they they went up to his hotel room. He I guess he was a delegate from from the old dominion. And so they they were kissing and then as these things happen, he began he ended up raping your oral sex. He demanded oral sex. And so she when he was starting to run for governor in Virginia, this woman stepped forward and said

5:17that he had raped her when they were undergraduates at Duke University way back when. And so then Vanessa Tyson said, well, you know, he raped me too. And following that allegation, there were questions. Why wasn't this ever prosecuted? Why wasn't there ever even an investigation, not even a police report? And Rachel Rollins was the then then first year is a district attorney of Suffolk County. And she said, hey, I'll look into it. I mean, she's pretty bad, but she's not going to overlook that. I know I'll take some crap on the on the on the text line. Oh, she is bad. How she's bad. But I don't think she's going to walk away. I don't think she was going to walk away from that. So so she she said, I'll check it out. And so then and she said,

6:18but you got to file a formal complaint. And so then I'm just looking at AI right now, Vanessa, Vanessa Tyson, the victim's legal team engaged in initial contact with the Suffolk County DA's office to discuss the allegation. And see, there's a statute of limitations, sexual assault, 15 years in Massachusetts. But that doesn't really matter in this case because the timeline is paused when you flee the flee the jurisdiction when you flee the commonwealth. So in other words, there was plenty of time to file charges. And but apparently nothing happened. I've been trying to I've been trying to find out if there were any kind of reports filed at any point either with the Boston PD or the the DA's office. I haven't been able to nail it down. I'm kind of I'm thinking that no, no, there is no, no such of no such reports. But anyway, it's it's a it's a it's a pretty pathetic story here. You know, and the New York Post just just got a just got the divorce documents because his wife

7:27was a dentist, Serena. And they were he was still living in the house with her. I guess he had no money. He was he had become a an alcoholic. And of course, nobody was as Eric Swalwell's about to find out when you're accused of this kind of crime. Nobody nobody wants to hire you. You're not going to be a rainmaker like some of these sleazy ex-politicians become for law firms, even even some some politicians who are not even lawyers become quote unquote rain makers. You know, like like Bonnar Bainer or Dennis Haster before his his unfortunate humiliations. They were they weren't lawyers, but they were rain makers. Fairfax couldn't get a job though. Apparently Fairfax apparently was drinking so heavily that he would lock himself away in his office of his family's home where he lived among empty wine bottles trash and piles of dirty laundry. And would only emerge quote long enough to get food or smoke cigarettes. Unquote the documents

8:32alleged. These are the divorce filings. And again, he was I guess he had become so obscure. I hadn't thought of him in years. You probably hadn't either. I guess he'd become so obscure that they're so broke that they couldn't he couldn't even get the money or couldn't get the judge to seal the documents. Usually when you have this kind of divorce going on with these kind of bombshell allegations, they they often sealed the seal the records, but no one bothered to seal these records. He purchased a handgun in 2022 with cash that was supposed to be used for his teenage children's horseback riding lessons, horseback riding. I mean, you can you can say, oh, those oh, so he was still a swell. But you know, sometimes, you know, you need a if your parents are going through a divorce. You need a you the kids need need a hobby. They need something to occupy their minds. And in this case for his kids, it was horseback riding. He also reportedly allowed

9:36repeatedly allowed his family's mortgage to go into default and dodged household bills that documents claim. Serena alleged that Fairfax had quote chosen not to be a productive member of the family and that the dictionary definition of deadbeat was accurate as applied to have unquote. The judge noted that Fairfax, who was representing himself in the acrimonious divorce, oh boy, didn't dispute the facts of the allegations against him. You know what they say? Any any any lawyer who has himself as a client any anyone who represents himself in court has a fool for a client. And again, that's another indication he was broke. As a result of his dead beat behavior, a judge had ordered Fairfax to leave the family home by April 30, which is two weeks from today. So we end up killing your killing the wife. Eight four four five hundred forty

10:39two forty two. These facts paint a picture, a vivid porch picture of Fairfax, his wife said, as a talented man who struggles with undefined emotional and psychological issues. Yet there can be no mistake that these undefined issues are in fact defining him and limiting his ability to be the person that he's being capable of being including but non-limited to the role of dad. Wow, this is tough stuff. All things considered it is clear the trauma experienced by Fairfax has not been fully processed in the isolation, drinking and lack of participation in family life or manifestations of what seems to be a sense of fatalism and hopelessness. Well, we saw that this morning, didn't we? He presented no plan to address the root causes of the situation and exhibited little or no self-awareness of the impact of his behavior on others. So again,

11:41another Democrat embroiled in scandal bites the dust. It's a sad case for his now deceased estranged wife and his two children who are left as orphans. Well, again, she came out and publicly said, look, if someone steps up, I'll be glad to investigate this and she knew the law and the statute of limitations that if someone flees, that's how they got all the priests in the archdiocese. They moved the priests out of state after they molested the altar boys. But that stopped the clock running on the statute of limitations. They were piling around together and people say he looks a lot like the guy that has his back turned to the camera when Swalwell is kissing the quote-unquote sex worker who appears to be of a barely legal age. And Rocana is being threatened by one of the guys in California who took out Swalwell. And Lindsey Graham has just mentioned for all the usual reasons. And then Massachusetts, it's the tradition, the tradition of Barney Frank, Gary Studds, going all the way back today, but I watch the gay senator who patronized Nazi brothels on the Brooklyn waterfront during World War II. I'm going to vote for Gallego. Gallego is in the lead at 41%, 32% for somebody from

15:10Massachusetts, 17% for Rocana, and 10% for Lindsey Graham. All right, Lindsey Graham is in the midst of an acrimonious primary fight for his re-election to his South Carolina Senate seat, by the way. There are about seven candidates running against him. They're slowly dropping out, not being forced out like in the California jungle primary for governor. 17:19believed at him and scooted little family into kids and standing up to all those people and he you know berates them for their moralist behavior. And then all this comes out about him. And it's heartbreaking to me. You know, and I wrote him. I wrote him a little message and I said, you know, Bill Clinton broke my heart and now you did too. You know, the conclusion I've come to men suck. Men suck. The way that they are physiologically, they can't sort of control their sexual urges. This is what I find. And all of these things now coming out with Epstein

18:19and child abuse in America and in what communities is it more rampant? And do you think Jeffrey Epstein was the only one running a brothel for children, for billionaires? I don't think he was, you know. 508 says Rosie was safe from Swalwell. Yes, she was. Very safe. 844-542-42. Limerick guy says, why is Lindsay Gramnesty in your poll? Because a lot of people, the questions being asked on social media, who's the next shoe to drop? And they always put in Gallego and in Kana because they're being, they're being mentioned publicly. But everybody on social media always throws in Lindsay Graham. So I figured we needed a Republican in the mix because Gonzales is gone. And so with Santos, I'm Howie Carr.

19:23Live from the Berna Lesslethal Pistol Studio, it's Howie Carr. As you know, for more than two years, the Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office covered up a terrible motor vehicle fatality involving a member of the State Police who was assigned to District Attorney Marion Ryan's office. And this State Trooper hit a disabled transport van head on and killed the guy inside, Angelo's Catino. And for two and a half, almost more than two years, not quite two and a half years, the State Police and the DA's office kept it a secret that the State Trooper had a blood alcohol

20:28level recorded of 0.114, which is far, far above the legal limit for drunk driving. And it only came out when the the estate of Angelo's Catino was sued. And they finally, two years later, got the blood alcohol records of the State Trooper. The State Trooper yesterday was charged. Finally, for this December 2023 accident, he was charged with vehicular homicide, drunk driving, etc. in in Wuburn. And we wanted to talk about what happened in the court case. And I've been trying to find out some more information. The State Police are stonewalling me. And I tweeted out the the questions I asked them and the answers that I received or the non-answer that I received. Joining us now on the line though to discuss this is Michael Mahoney. He's the lawyer for the the estate of the of the dead man who was killed in the alleged drunk driving incident involving a state cop that the cops and the District Attorney tried to cover up for two years.

21:31Michael Mahoney, thanks for being with us here on The Howie Car Show. Thanks for having me back. And you know, I just wanted to let everybody know that this would be the time of year, you know, Angelo's 37, but he had sort of a child like mine. And this is the time of year that he would like to go out with his mom and do a lot of things, you know, and he that can't happen anymore. So I always like to even like tell myself I get excited that, you know, we got this big sort of cover up here, but it really all started because the kid lost his life, you know. So thanks for having me on. And actually, I don't know if you're very quickly as a lawyer yesterday, but she says this is not a cover up. Now, I don't know what she wants to call it, but she's saying it's not a cover up. Well, you know, that's a very it's a very sad picture in the herald of Angelo. He looks like he's a he's a happy guy and you know, he's got obviously got, you know, difficulties, but he's trying to make the best of it get through life.

22:32And and to just be have his life snuffed out like this by this guy who's driving drunk and then they cover it up and not only cover it up, but they promote him. And they promote the the the sergeant who who covered who covered up the actual incident report. They make her a lieutenant. Now she's been indicted for perjury and involuntary manslaughter in another case. I mean, this is just like a terrible scandal all the way around, isn't it? Well, I told you how, you know, as this case went on because of our lawsuit, more was going to be revealed. Now, have you read the Commonwealth statement from the DA? The latest one? Yes, today. It just came out yesterday afternoon and I have some highlights if you're interested. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, read them to me. Okay, so yeah, this is the DA gave it. We're able to meet with the DA with the family after Quigley was arraigned. And some of the highlights here are that on the day of the crash, Quigley left the DA's office in Wuban shortly

23:35after 3 p.m. and he joined the fellow state police detective at a restaurant and by nearby. Tina. That we sort of he joined Tina. Yes. Okay. Well, we're wondering if there are other people. There, but we'll get to that later. And then the two detectives ordered light food and six drinks between them. They left separately at 4.30. Now, we didn't know about the six drinks, but this is coming from the DA's report. So I thought that was the first thing that was interesting, especially because somewhere I saw that Quigley testified that he only had one drink. So that means Tina, whoever had five and that doesn't seem to be there. Yeah, we didn't, and Tina, Tina did not get arrested for drunk driving that evening. No, no, no, no, no, no. We haven't heard from Tina yet. And he's unrestricted duty. He's on, he, he, after, after the,

24:37after it came out that he was the drinking buddy of Quigley at the bar Therese's, he was put on restricted duty. He was on the toe unit before then. Oh, perfect. Well, at least he, he's lucky enough not to be suspended without pay. So remember, I told you, I saw somewhere where he said that he only had one drink. Well, yeah, there's another highlight in the district attorney's statement. It says that laboratory testing at 6 p.m. So an hour after the accident showed a 0.1, 1, 4, okay? When a hospital staffer discussed the lab resolved with Quigley several days later, Quigley said he was surprised because he only had one drink. That's where I saw that. Now, I've, I've got some questions, you know, as I'm reading the stuff, and you know, you actually, you helped me, some of the, listen is helping. They'll send me notes and they'll say, well, ask this, ask this. You know,

25:39so this is one of the questions that I have. Like, why would Quigley have retrieved his medical records just a couple of days? Like, who looks at you? Why would you look at your medical records? Right. Right. Any idea, you know? Yeah, I broke my, I broke my femur a couple of years ago in a bike accident and I've never looked at them. I was just too busy lying in the hospital bed morning. Exactly. So that's number one. So why would you look at your medical records? Secondly, like, how did he talk to the staffer? Was it, well, he was in the hospital. Did he call at some point? Did he drive there? You know, obviously, this is important. And what used to the staffer do? Like, what could the staffer have done about this? You know, once they're in the records, there's not much you can do about it. And he said he was in the high, the, the, the trooper who, who handled the report and gave him a warning after killing your client, you know, and has now been indicted for perjury, she didn't interview him for eight days.

26:43So he's talking, he's talking. But, but so obviously, he was in a condition to be interviewed much earlier than eight days after the accident. Great point. Great point. But so we know that she was, she was held off by some superiors. You know, we already know that from the, the body cam and from even her own body cam when she was talking to a trooper crook. And she says, I don't know why they won't, why they don't want me over there. It's not like I'm in journal investigation. So, you know, you can apply that, she, you can assume that there's something that she knows that they're keeping her away from that clinic for a reason. It, she's, they keep it, keeping her away from that hospital, speaking to quickly for a reason. Now, have you, I put out this thing, I tweeted it out, the, the questions I had for the state police and they're, and they're stonewalling me right down the line here. Have you heard any more about this retired lieutenant colonel Brian Conner, who supposedly was at the hospital?

27:49We have not, we noticed a bunch of depositions. And now, you know, when you have a bunch of lawyers involved, because now every one of these policemen are starting to lawyer up. So as of now, the dates don't seem to be good for our first round of depositions. We as, who are looking to talk to, you know, again, I had like these questions like, why did we do this? Why did we do this? Like, why did he get a replacement phone shortly after the accident? You know, why? And this is the one that, to me, is a kicker. So the public, the DA knew about his blood alcohol finally on January 25th, 2026. Why was he going to Satsfield? You know who Satsfield is? He's the, the director of Operation and Security for the District Attorney's Office. And for the people out there that don't know this, quickly actually worked with that. He was in the homicide unit. So he worked directly with the middle-sex DA's office. That was his job every day. His assignment? I'm going to

28:52couple up. That's right. That was his assignment. So my point here is so he now he knows that the shit hit the fan, right? Okay, just watch out there. Watch out for Michael. That was a legal term. I'm sorry. He knows that. He knows that it was revealed on January 25th. There was no hiding it, right? ADA brand and a law flint, I believe. They were privy to this information. He said he was worried about my lawsuit against him. And this is what's interesting. Why did he go to Satsfield and ask about the code to access data? How long did they keep a record of that? And not only did he ask them that on the 26th, but he asked them again on the 28th. And that's when Satsfield said, look, I'm uncomfortable talking about this stuff. It makes me think of the department. Remember when Matt Damon was the bad guy and he kept trying to find out who the confidential guy

29:57was trying to find out, Leonardo, you know, this is life imitating art, Michael. Well said. Yeah. So, do you have these documents that the DA, did you speak directly to Mary and Ryan, by the way, the DA? No, I believe I spoke to Ian Palumbaum. Mary and Ryan, I think she's conflicted out, right? This is going to be the Suffolk. Oh, so you're speaking to the DA who's been assigned from Boston, from Suffolk. Yeah, okay. I think it's this Ian Palumbaum. He was a good guy. He's trying, you know, he's concerned. He's not concerned with my lawsuit. He's concerned with his lawsuit, you know, and he's he's going to give us what he can give us. But I can send you, I'll give you a copy of this. I'll send this over to Matt and Jared. Yeah, please, yeah, please do, please, yeah, please email this to us because we can, we'll get

30:58this into the herald tomorrow too. This isn't very interesting. So, and then if there's another paragraph that I found interesting, it says, although the evidence indicates that certain other members of Quigley's detective unit knew by the next day that he was drinking at the restaurant before the crash, there was no record that this information was disclosed and that timely way to anyone outside the unit. So there was so it's not just this guy. So they've suspended this guy, Delukia, the who knew and who talked to to one of the staffers in the DA's office. But apparently Delukia, who's now suspended, I think without pay or maybe without a care remember with or without, he's not the only one who knew that now they're admitting that it's more than one person knew this day in this plural. It's in this last paragraph for plural.

31:58Wow. So it's getting the other interesting thing. You know, the Anton never even asked him about alcohol. And he actually made two different statements. The first one said that he passed out and the second one said that he got dizzy. He was sleeping and he got dizzy. So I would think it was her job as a matter of force to say, if he brought up, he had two different conflicting statements. I mean, isn't it part of the checklist? Hey, did you have a couple of beers? Right. What were you doing? It's not like, there was, there was an injury. Your client hadn't died at that point, but he there was a major serious injury. It wasn't like he had a stop sign. And you know, that's perceived drug that any time there's a motor vehicle accident with any type of injury, they need to automatically report it to the middle sector attorney's office. It's just it's basic one on one. It's what they supposed to do and they just never did it. So did they say in this in the report from the DA that's been sent over from Boston?

33:04Did they say what kind of alcoholic beverages when they were imbibing? He and Tino? No, they did not. They just said six. Six drinks. So it could have been beers, could have been martinis? Yeah, and it could have been more than six. If there's an overrunner, I'm taking the over. All right. So, will you send that report to email that email, the thing that you got to to to to to just or just they could they can give you the address to just send it directly to me. Yeah, yeah, I'll do that. I'll do that. Okay, so this is this is this is interesting news. So if the Harold wants to talk to you this afternoon, can they do so? Mike? I'll be around sure. Absolutely. 36:23How we car is back. That's that's big news. So there were, there were multiple state police who knew about it. According to what the DA is saying, oddly, that that contradicts the report that Mary and Ryan, the District Attorney, paid for, for the judge, from the judge, Dreschler, who is a former law partner of convicted felon, Tom Feneron, the house, former house speaker, who obstructed justice in the appeal scores. I was, I was a witness when it happened in court. I know I've told you about it. It's a, I'm still seeking closure.

37:24You know, I tried to file a victim impact statement when he was sentenced, but I wasn't allowed to. 844, 542, 844, 542, so Dreschler cleared and said there was only one state cop who knew about drinking that was going on. And, but that's not true, apparently. According to the district, the prosecutor of Quigley, multiple state, state cops, no. Are they, are multiple state cops now going to be suspended? Because of this, so far, what, what, Quigley suspended without paid the luchia, I believe, suspended with pay, Tino, the guy he was drinking with, he was put on restricted duty, but he's still on the job technically. So, and then it penting, of course, is it indicted on perjury charges and involuntary manslaughter, and yet another scandal.

38:27So, this, this is your Massachusetts state police at, at work. 844, 542, 42, more scandals coming out around the Massachusetts welfare system, more, more waste, fraud and abuse being revealed. 844, 542, will, will have some question, questions to Healy. I don't know if we'll have any answers, but we'll have questions.
